Ruh-roh. Hollywood Life has a ?source? who claims that Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson are dunzo. Apparently, A-Rod might have been ?acting very single,? partying with some random ladies over the weekend in New York while Kate Hudson spent time with friends. Hmm? can a couple spend a weekend doing different things? Or is this The End!?! The source adds the final nail in the coffin: ?They are totally over.? Yikes.
It?s over for Hollywood hottie Kate Hudson and Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, according to sources in Miami.
Insiders tell us that A-Rod partied in Miami solo all weekend (and with other women!), while Kate was in New York promoting her new movie, Nine.
A-Rod partied at Wall Lounge in the W Hotel Friday night, Dec. 10, ?with two women,? said our source. ?He was acting VERY single, and Kate Hudson was definitely not there.?
The source also said, ?Kate and A-Rod broke up.? Meanwhile, Kate was ?all smiles? while having dinner with friends at Prime Meats in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, NY.
The following evening, Saturday, Dec. 11, A-Rod was at the Armani Exchange ?Cool Shades of Style? dinner at the Solarium above the Delano Hotel. And once again, no sign of Kate!
The two started dating in May, when they met in NYC, and she has supported his baseball career all through the season.
Reps for Kate and A-Rod haven?t gotten back to us, but our sources insist, ?They are totally over.?

This could be true, I suppose, but I have two big reasons for why I think this is just some random false report. First, the overwhelming majority of tabloid reports have Kate and A-Rod on the verge of engagement/marriage. True, that could just be the standard bullsh-t, but Kate looks very much in love, and we all know she?s a succubus who destroys men?s souls. My second reason - Kate supported Alex throughout the baseball season, and now it?s his turn to support her through the awards season. I don?t think A-Rod would dump the girl who would take him to the Oscars. It?s just not done!
Of course, I have one big reason for why this could be true - I doubt A-Rod is only dating Kate. I mean, I think he?s seeing other women, just on the side. So where I could see the report about A-Rod in a bar, partying with girls, and even hooking up with girls, I don?t think they are broken up. Just my take.

Making time for her young son, Kate Hudson was spotted stepping out for a walk with Ryder in New York City on Monday (December 11).
The “Fool’s Gold” actress and her growing boy were all bundled up for the chilly weather, with Kate having made an appearance on the “Today” show earlier in the morning.
Meanwhile, Kate recently chatted about her inability to avoid tabloid rumors, saying, “I can’t go two months without being pregnant, engaged, or breaking up because I’m too needy, which is always the one they love.”
The blonde beauty adds, “I’m not needy. You kind of have to laugh it off, but it can kind of screw up other things around it.”

Braving the frigid temperatures, Kate Hudson was spotted getting an early start to the day in New York City on Friday (December 11).
Wearing fur and holding a cup of Starbucks coffee, the “Skeleton Key” cutie happened to be out for another promotional stop for her upcoming movie “Nine” - which hits theaters in the States on December 25th.
Recently chatting with press about the star-studded musical film, Kate revealed that she got to sing songs for Black Eyed Peas frontwoman, Fergie.
“We all became really close during rehearsals and filming,” said Hudson. “They were such an amazing bunch of people to work with. I loved working with Fergie.”
Kate continued, “I used to sing her songs to her. And I still do! I don’t know what she thought but we had a blast together.”

Showing off her gorgeous gams, Kate Hudson made an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in New York City on Thursday evening (December 10).
After greeting fans lining the Ed Sullivan Theatre entrance, the “Fool’s Gold” actress headed inside to promote her new movie, “Nine,” which hits theaters on December 25th.
And while Miss Hudson was there to chat about her latest film, talks quickly turned to her romance with Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez.
“Let’s talk about the Yankees,” Letterman said. “You’re a big Yankees fan and you’re friends with Alex Rodriguez - is that the deal?”
Unwilling to dish on her personal affairs, Kate laughed as she replied, “Yeah, he’s a friend of mine. Nice guy.”
Trying to change the subject, Miss Hudson then said, “Oh God, can’t we talk about the holidays? Can’t we talk about Christmas?”
Answering back, Letterman responded, “Yes, let’s talk about Thanksgiving. Did Alex Rodriguez come to your house for Thanksgiving?”
“You can’t help yourself!” Hudson laughed.

I know many of you can?t stand her, but I actually like Kate Hudson. Yes, she got a new guy every two seconds, and she introduces every one of them to her son, and that?s not very good. But! I admire how upbeat and positive she is, and I like that she never bitches and moans about anything - she?s very professional, she never bad-mouths anyone or anything, and she seems like a lot of fun. Anyway, Kate?s new interview in the January issue of Harper?s Bazaar is no different. She seems a little defensive, but still upbeat. She doesn?t really want to talk about her relationship with Alex Rodriguez, but you can tell she would love to gossip about him with her girlfriends. She also says ?I?m not needy? as if battling that portrayal of herself specifically from the tabloids. I actually believe that she?s not particularly needy. On failed relationships: ?No matter how many times my heart breaks, I?ll never be any different.?
On why heartbreak is worth the risk: “I’d rather hang out with a person who’s done everything than who’s done nothing. It would suck to die and not have experienced my life, really. I mean, I think you should keep your eyes open. Blinders are fun for a second, but they have to come off eventually. And I believe it’s important to get to know people, to really get to know them.”
On pregnancy, engagement and break up rumors: “I’m not pregnant,” she says. “I can’t go two months without being pregnant, engaged, or breaking up because I’m too needy, which is always the one they love. I’m not needy. You kind of have to laugh it off, but it can kind of screw up other things around it.”
On why she doesn’t talk about her relationships: “I have a child, and there are people involved, and it’s unfair to talk about somebody else, especially when you’re not in that place yet to be discussing those things. If I was sitting here with a belly out to here, I’d be talking about what the relationship is and how important that is in my life right now.”
On not feeling pressure from family or friends to avoid Alex Rodriguez because of his past mistakes: ” I don’t really have friends like that,” Kate says. “My mother never shook anybody’s hand. She has kissed and hugged her way through life. [My family had] an open-door policy. We were never afraid to bring the wrong person home. They were always open to our failures.”
On the photo of her and A-Rod kissing: “There’s a guy that’s shooting probably 60 frames a minute. That was a sideswipe on the cheek. That wasn’t even a kiss. I quickly kissed the cheek. And I remember one of the headlines the next day said, MAKEOUT SESSION. What is wrong with people?”
On Chris Robinson: “Chris is a great dad. I feel really lucky. When we first met, it was so immediate. I had no question in my mind I was supposed to marry him and have children with him.

Oh, I like the cover image and photo shoot by the way. These photos are a lot better than Kate?s last magazine spread, in Elle UK, where they made her look like a gristly body builder. Kate admitted last month that she lost a lot of weight by simply cutting out the beer, but just from looking at pictures of Kate over the past few months, I think her weight yo-yos all the time. Not anything major, but she?s such a small girl that you notice when she gains five pounds. Anyway, I?m glad Kate is so happy - I really do think she and A-Rod will end up getting married, I really do. She?s all over it. And she?s good for him too!

The “Fool’s Gold” actress and her Yankees slugger beau made separate ventures through the terminal, doing their best to avoid being photographed together.
In the midst of promoting her upcoming movie, Kate recently told press that working on the musical “Nine” was quite an experience, especially when it came to the wardrobe.
“It was great. Look, I have written down here how to pronounce ‘Swarovski’ because I always say it wrong. I’m a huge clothes fanatic.”
Co-starring Nicole Kidman, Penlope Cruz, Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion Cotillard, “Nine” makes its way into theaters on December 25th.
