Did Kourtney Kardashian get pregnant - accidentally on purpose? She certainly announced her pregnancy right in time to promote her spin off reality show with Khloe, premiering this Sunday on E!. Kourtney has revealed that she got pregnant after forgetting to take her birth control pills and explained that she realized she was pregnant when she starting feel nauseous and craving crackers. The thing is, she had a pregnancy scare that was shown on her family’s reality show back in November, 2007 and she’s five months pregnant now. So she had over a year after that first scare to wise up and make sure she was taking precautions. Instead, she’s pregnant for real this time, which suggests that if she wasn’t actually trying to get pregnant she wasn’t trying not to, either:
Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian says little sister Kim thought she’d be the first Kardashian sib to become a mom.
“She definitely thought it was going to be her first. Kim has, like, every baby name picked out,” Kourtney said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this morning.
“Kim…I don’t think she was envious, but who knows,” Kourtney went on of her sis, who recently split from Reggie Bush. “Kim gets mad if I get, like, the car that she wants. She, like, freaks out.
“Out of all of us, I was definitely the last one that was even thinking about it,” Kourtney confessed, adding that she’s due around Christmastime — the same period as another E! reality star, Kendra Wilkinson.
Kourtney says she had her sister Khloe tell the family she was expecting.
“I was just, like, so nervous,” she said. Stepdad Bruce Jenner was “the most realistic,” she says. “[He said], ‘You guys are acting like you’re getting a little puppy dog! You need to take this seriously’…. He freaks me out the most.”
Getting pregnant with Scott Disick — with whom she recently reunited after splitting in February — was unplanned.
“This probably sounds so dumb, but there’s so many times I’ll forget to take my pill and I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s just so stupid,” she admitted.
Kourtney says she had an inkling she was pregnant after getting “really nauseous, like, suddenly…not just in the morning. I would have to eat Saltines at all times in the day.”
On her new reality show — Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami (premiering Sunday) — she literally gets sick in a club, she said.
Her boobs also became “huge and they were so sore.”
Now that she’s about five months along, Kourtney explains how she dresses her bump: “I just wear jeans and keep them unbuttoned and wear a big shirt.”
(She’s also opening a new store in California “soon,” she says: Dash for Babies.)
Kourtney says she’s brainstorming names for either a boy or girl — and dropping the “K” alliteration her siblings share.
[From US Weekly]
Kourtney announced on The Today Show yesterday that her baby’s father was her ex fiance, Scott Disick, and said that she’s back together with him. She said he was “very excited” about the pregnancy and that “we’re really happy.” When asked if she had any marriage plans, Kourtney said “we’ll see.” I’m sure we’ll learn all about it if she gets engaged at any point. If Kourtney is smart, and I’m not getting a lot of evidence in that direction although this pregnancy is probably the smartest thing she could have done for media coverage, she’ll pull the plug on this show once her baby is born. It’s going to be too much pressure to continue the show and be a new mom - and maybe a new wife - all at the same time.
Here are Kourtney and Khloe on The Today Show. The first part is about Khloe’s 20 pound weight loss, which she says took 6-7 weeks, not the 4 weeks reported in the tabloids. The part where Kourtney says she’s back with Scott starts at about 4:00 minutes in.

Caught off guard by the news that co-host Paula Abdul opted to leave “American Idol,” Ryan Seacrest offered his thoughts on the decision.
“About to go to sleep when I started seeing my blackberry blow up,” Seacrest tweeted. “I have read what u have read and I am shocked and saddened about Paula.”
Announcing the career news to her fans last night, Paula wrote, “With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day one become an international phenomenon.”
The 47-year-old continued, “What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me. I do, without any doubt, have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

Paula Abdul’s manager went to the LA Times, to tell them that it doesn’t look she will be returning to American Idol as a Judge because as of yet they have not have not received any proposal for her return.
“Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on ‘Idol,’ ” David Sonenberg, Abdul’s manager, told The Times when contacted about the judge’s contract negotiations.
With auditions for the ninth season due to start Aug. 6, Sonenberg says he doesn’t even have a proposal for a new contract from FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, the production companies behind the show. The new season is scheduled to premiere in January.
“I find it under these circumstances particularly unusual; I think unnecessarily hurtful,” he said of the contract holdup. “I find it kind of unconscionable and certainly rude and disrespectful that they haven’t stepped up and said what they want to do.”
“She’s not a happy camper as a result of what’s going on. She’s hurt. She’s angry,” Sonenberg said. “I think at this point we’re going to be considering everything, including some kind of a competition show. She has tremendous ideas for a whole variety of shows.”
She is not the only one who is not a happy camper, I would be beyond upset to lose her on the show. There are one 3 people AI can’t live without and they are Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest and Paula Abdul. The rest of them could go bye-bye and I wouldn’t care. Would you still watch American Idol without the unpredictable Paula Abdul? She was the fun part because you never knew what she was going to be like and what she was going to say.

You know what is the best way to resurrect your flailing career? Legend has it, you want to find one of the most powerful people in your industry, then go out of your way to annoy the crap out of them. This seems to be the sage advice Lindsay Lohan is following, since she?s taken what could have been a good thing with Ryan Seacrest (he?s also a big time producer, not just the host of ?American Idol?) and ruined it by pestering the living daylights out of him. Lohan even went so far as to call him up and ask him to take a break from his radio program so that they could chat. Lindsay Lohan may not have a career or anyone?s respect, but she is still the center of the world damn it!
Seacrest… out? Insiders whisper Ryan’s now admitting he’s had second thoughts about launching a reality show with ditzy diva Lindsay Lohan! After two face-to-face meetings, Mean Grrrl started bombarding the busy host with needy phone calls, and here’s the shocker - she actually begged him to take a break from his LA morning radio show for a heart-to-heart chat! Said a source: “Ryan’s the busiest man in show business, and he should have known better than to enter Lindsay’s world. He’s now saying that compared to Lindsay, working with high-maintenance Kim Kardashian is a low-Maintenance job!”
Now for the REAL shocker: Pals snicker that despite her current taste for all things Sapphic, La Lohan’s developing a “thing” for Seacrest. Reportedly, he has “zero interest.” (REALLY??)
[From the National Enquirer, Mike Walker's column, July 27, 2009, print ed.]
My God I hope Seacrest cuts her off. The last thing Lindsay Lohan needs is someone indulging her. Seriously, she knows her career is beyond in the toilet. It?s gone out to sea. She?s not in a position to make demands on anyone. The only thing Lohan should be doing is freaking begging. She should be calling Ryan Seacrest up and asking him if she can bring him a beverage. Anything it takes to ingratiate herself and be as pleasing as possible to Seacrest.
I can?t stand that spiky haired pocket person, but he has major clout in Hollywood. He?s a workaholic, and exactly the type of person Lohan should be around. I?m surprised Seacrest would even consider dealing with another Lohan after producing Dina Lohan?s reality show. But that must not have been the terrible experience I assumed it was since he?s toying with the idea of adding Lindsay to the roster.
Lohan ? get yourself a mop and a broom, stat. And start cleaning Seacrest?s house. Then move on to the garden. Show him you?ll actually work ? and do whatever it takes ? and you might deserve another chance. And keep your pants on.

Ryan Seacrest has agreed to a $45 million 3 year deal to exclusively host American Idol according to The Hollywood Reporter. The host of the #1 show has tripled his salary with the new deal, not bad for someone who works all the time and then some.
Now that Ryan has signed on, 19 Management can concentrate on deals with Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. Notice I left out the other two because I hope that they are replaced. I won't miss Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson if they say no, but what else do they have to say yes to?

Ryan Seacrest has just signed a three year contract with American Idol to rival some of the highest paid sports stars. Seacrest will receive a whopping $45 million for three more years with Idol. This goes to a guy who has managed to alienate the worlds’ most famous couple and who once asked a pregnant actress on the red carpet at the Oscars if she planned to breastfeed. It doesn’t matter how Ryan screws up his side jobs, though, because he’s decent at talking to aspiring singers and lobbing stupid banter at Simon and will continue to do that for an astronomical sum of money:
Sought-after bachelor Ryan Seacrest has become an even bigger catch: The American Idol host has closed what is believed to be the biggest deal ever for a reality emcee and will triple his current salary, according to the Hollywood Reporter. His new paycheck: $45 million for three years.
In exchange, says the trade paper, Seacrest, 34, will work exclusively for CKX, parent of Idol producer 19 Entertainment. Best of all, the deal only covers broadcast-network work.
Separately, Seacrest will still maintain a cable agreement with Comcast and his gig as E! Entertainment’s main anchor. He’ll also continue to produce Keeping Up with the Kardashians for E! and a future Jamie Oliver reality series for ABC.
Reps for the producers and for Seacrest had no comment.
With Seacrest’s services secured, the Reporter also says that Idol now needs to nail down the future work of judges Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi. A question mark, however, hangs over a possible new contract for Simon Cowell, who is said to be paid in excess of $100 million a season ? and who has made noises about leaving.
[From People]
The National Enquirer is reporting this week that judge Paula Abdul wants to double her salary to $20 million a year. They also say she’s “been talking to CBS Paramount Network Television about developing her own show.”
Paula also has a Las Vegas music and dance revue in the works “that Paula would create, choreograph and appear in occasionally.” Supposedly the Venetian and The Encore hotels are “in a bidding war over it.”
Now that we know that Ryan is getting $15 million a year, maybe Paula will get a raise too. They may have tried to edge her out with new judge Kara, but no one is as well liked as Paula and Kara kind of fell flat to many fans. Randy “yo dog, I repeat what Simon says in my poor approximation of slang” can get lost, though, as far as I’m concerned.

Hot on the heels of Paula Abdul's statement that she'll be back for more "American Idol" next season, it looks like host Ryan Seacrest is only steps away from signing his contract extension, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
According to the report, he is currently in talks with "Idol" co-producer 19 Entertainment to extend his contract for three more years and get a significant pay raise that would make him one of the highest-paid reality-TV hosts.
This past season, Seacrest made a little under $5 million, or about $100,000 per episode. Seacrest is also reportedly trying to expand his relationship with 19 Entertainment to develop a new series with "Idol" creator Simon Fuller.
Seacrest reportedly met with people at 19 in the U.K. last month to discuss the deal. Although there have been no confirmations yet, THR says an announcement is expected on Monday.
All four "Idol" judges, including Simon Cowell, are currently in the process of negotiating new contracts, though the season's auditions have already begun. But in May, Cowell seemed certain that everyone would be back on the show.
"Everyone's going to be back. Absolutely," Cowell said. "It's been honestly the best eight, nine years of my life. But I just believe sometimes everything has to come to an end."

'Still putting it all together,' Seacrest says of the plans.By Jocelyn Vena

Lindsay Lohan is getting her own reality show. But if fans of the "Mean Girls" star think that they will get an intimate look into la vida Lohan, they'd better think again.
The show, TMZ reports, will be an inspirational reality show where $1 million is given away to a person who is looking to turn their life around after going down the wrong path. That person will be judged by a panel, and it's rumored that Lohan will possibly appear as a judge on the show.
Seacrest, who produces the elder Lohan's reality show, "Living Lohan," Tweeted about the concept, saying, "Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her ... it helps people and gives others a second shot! Still putting it all together."
Meanwhile, Lohan also took to her Twitter to announce the tentative plans of working with Seacrest on the show. "Working on a really great project for television - I am excited!" she said. "Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC."
Keeping with the inspirational theme of the show, she also Tweeted, "I am so blessed [and] because I am I want to make the world a better place." Reps for both Seacrest and Lohan had not gotten back to MTV News by press time.
Earlier this year, Lohan had been quite vocal about how hard it's been for her to find work thanks to her constant presence in the tabloids. "There's not much I can do about the fact that I've become a kind of tabloid obsession," she said. "I can't change that. And yes, the Web sites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hurt my career — they're like the Burn Books of Hollywood.

X17 via FOX News claims Lindsay Lohan and Ryan Seacrest partied into the night at Lindsay’s room at the Chateau Marmont in LA before moving on to his house.
The two were at Lindsay’s place at 8:30 PM before hitting up the clubs. Afterward at around 12, Ryan stashed Lindsay in his backseat and drove back to her place.
“Lindsay was obviously trying to hide from the paparazzi,” a photographer told X17. “Ryan didn’t seem to care. It was almost as if he were proud to be with Lindsay. Ryan was laughing while Lindsay ducked down behind the seat of the car .”
According to X17online.com, the music in Lohan’s room was so loud, the neighbors called the police. Two officers arrived 3:30am, and the pair “moved to Ryan’s house.”
“They were obviously partying inside at Lindsay’s, the music was so loud!” said the photographer. “I don’t think Ryan has any idea what he’s getting into.”
I don’t think Ryan Seacrest can handle Lindsay. He’s a newborn cub compared to her. She’s probably into crazy masochistic stuff. I can imagine Ryan Seacrest’s big smile disappearing when Lindsay starts dripping hot candle wax on his balls. He’ll probably be shrieking in the third person like, “Arrrrgh! Seacrest out! Seacrest out!”

Though the eighth season just wrapped up and season nine won't hit airwaves until next January, "American Idol" never rests. Auditions for the singing competition — a source of both vindication and humiliation for contestants every year — got under way on Sunday outside of Boston.
The suffering started even before participants got a chance to flex their vocal chords, as they were greeted by rain showers and unusually cold winds at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, home to the New England Patriots.
"If you're auditioning, you want pouring rain, you want freezing weather," host Ryan Seacrest said during a brief press conference, according to The Associated Press. "It makes the weak stay home."
(For an inside view of the grueling process, look back at Jim Cantiello's audition for "American Idol" last year.)
Singers started gathering as early as 3 a.m., and the line eventually stretched the length of the stadium and through the parking lot. After more than a four-hour wait, singers were ushered inside, where 14 tents were set up as judges waited to appraise the talent.
"Idol" rules stipulate that contestants must be between the ages of 16 and 28 and be eligible to work in the United States. In total, about 7,000 people were said to have tried out.
While Fox will not release the names of contestants who met with judges' approval and obtained a coveted golden ticket to Hollywood, The Boston Globe spoke with two singers who said they'll be moving on to the next round: Christy Castillo, 21, revealed that she performed Keyshia Cole's "I Remember," and Katie Ryan, 16, said that she covered Aerosmith's "Dream On."
After Foxborough, the auditions shift to Atlanta on Thursday and then to Chicago next week. Other auditions will be held in Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Denver.
