They?ve only been dating for a few months, and already Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough have been the targets of engagement rumors.
But the ?American Idol? host made an appearance on ?Good Morning America? today to say that he and Ms. Hough are not betrothed.
Speaking to Bill Weir and Robin Roberts, Seacrest definitively stated, ?I?m not engaged... but very happy.?
And coming up tomorrow night, Ryan will be helping ring in the New Year on ?Dick Clark?s New Year?s Rockin Eve.?

According to the National Enquirer, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough are taking their fauxmance to the next level. They claim that Ryan, 35, proposed to Julianne, 22, during their well documented Paris jaunt and she accepted. The Enquirer’s gossip guy, Mike Walker, name drops Seacrest practically every week with the most insignificant gossip. If anyone would get an exclusive on Ryan’s engagement, it would be the Enquirer. I know a lot of people think Ryan bats secretly for the other team, and the way the whole “kiss on the beach with Teri Hatcher” played out (particularly the way she explained it) make me think that could be the case and that he plays the media to his advantage. It’s possible that he is straight and just very fussy, though. It happens. I could also see him going for a much younger non-challenging partner like Julianne. (If he goes for chicks at all, other than in photo ops.) Here’s the Enquirer’s report. It’s like Ryan took a page out of Tom Cruise’s book.
The “American Idol” host surprised the “Burlesque” star with a proposal during a recent vacation to Paris, sources say, and he’s even cutting back his workload to start a family!
“Ryan is ready to make Julianne his bride, but he wanted to blow her away with the most romantic proposal possible,” an insider divulged.
“With only a few weeks before ‘Idol’ is back on TV, he organized a quickie trip to Paris and invited his sister and his parents along so they could share in the happy occasion…”
To prove how serious he is about building a solid future together, the ambitious go-getter is scaling back on work, the insider said.
“Ryan is planning top opt out of renewing the contract for his syndicated radio show,” said the insider. “Julianne has transformed him from a work machine into a love machine.”

“Julianne has transformed him from a work machine into a love machine.” Are you kidding me? This is just spin control for the fact that he’s not going to continue with his radio show for whatever reason.
You know, if they’re both happy with this arrangement, whatever it is, good for them. Congratulations on their engagement whether it’s for show or not. I can’t see any self-respecting woman going along with this (if it’s not real, etc) but Julianne did get to go to Paris and I bet she dropped a lot of Ryan’s cash on nice designer things. I also bet he helped her pick them out. And I swear to you - I wrote all that before I saw these photos of them buying Louboutins. Hand to God, to borrow a phrase from Kaiser. (I thought Ryan was staring at the shoes, but he’s entranced with his own reflection. I think we know who his real love is.)
Update: Julianne’s brother, Derek Hough, says that as far as he knows his sister isn’t engaged.

Continuing to enjoy their romantic getaway, Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest were spotted out in Paris, France on Friday (November 26).
The ?Footloose? hottie and her ?American Idol? host beau popped into several shops in the City of Lights before heading to the Claude Monet Exhibition.
Looking as happy as can be, the cute couple stopped to pose for pictures with and for fans that recognized them as they made their way around the beautiful locale.
Taking to his Twitter account to ponder a Thanksgiving thought, Seacrest recently tweeted, ?Craving thanksgiving dinner! What time do u do it? We always do in the middle of afternoon so we can sleep on our stomachs by bedtime.?

Of course this isn?t a photo op! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?!? These are photos of Julianne ?Beardy McGee? Hough and Ryan ?Ew, What Smells Like Fish?? Seacrest in Paris today, just walking down the Rue d?Hetero, enjoying life. Apparently, Julianne and Ryan are in Paris with Ryan?s parents and his sister, on what is probably a super-awkward visit. Maybe it?s just me. I can?t help it, I think Ryan is a nasty little bitch who is faking this relationship in an attempt for mainstream, Middle America acceptance, because he fears that if he comes out, no one will think he?s The Next Dick Clark. Note to Seacrest: no one thinks you are the next Dick Clark anyway, gay or straight. But whatever. Julianne is talking up the relationship and maybe it?s for real. Cough, laugh, sputter.
How romantic! Ryan Seacrest and girlfriend Julianne Hough have jetted off to Paris, and the happy couple have wasted no time seeing the sights and spending quality time together.
On Tuesday, the two, who are also in town with Seacrest’s parents and his sister Meredith, lunched at Chez Andr and were spotted strolling hand-in-hand through the City of Light. Next on their itinerary? A stop by Dior’s flagship boutique on Avenue Montaigne.
As if the setting wasn’t perfect enough, Hough has gushed that her beau is “really romantic,” telling Ellen DeGeneres that for her birthday he put “flowers everywhere. I was almost embarrassed.”
As for spending time with Seacrest’s parents, Hough told DeGeneres earlier this month, “both of our folks are like our best friends, so when we hang out, it’s more like hanging out with friends.”

Taking a break from his hectic work schedule, Ryan Seacrest was spotted spending quality time with girlfriend Julianne Hough on Sunday night (October 31).
The ?American Idol? host and his country singing cutie sat courtside and watched as the Los Angeles Lakers crushed the Golden State Warriors 107-83.
Meanwhile, Ms Hough?s latest flick, ?Burlesque,? is set to hit theaters later this month on November 24th.
Over the weekend, an excited Julianne tweeted, ?It?s crazy to think we were starting on ?Burlesque? this time last year, and now it?s going to be out in just a couple of weeks aaaahhhh!!! :)?

Drawing an end to their romantic holiday weekend, Ryan Seacrestand Julianne Hough kissed and hugged as they arrived into Los Angeles, California on Monday (September 6).
The pair are just back from a luxurious getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, during which Ryan and Julianne hit the beach for some much needed relaxation after flying into town on August 4th.
Once finished up saying their goodbyes, Julianne headed off to hop aboard a flight to Atlanta, Georgia to continue work on the new movie "Footloose".
Meanwhile, Ryan made headlines over the weekend after a funny clip of the "American Idol" host hit the web showing him singing Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" alongside late night legend Larry King.

Do Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have a name as a couple? You know, like ?Brangelina?. I guess people call them ?Rob-sten? but that?s totally boring. How about ?Sparkle-Stew?? That?s cute, right? Okay, well, we?ve got some additional information on Sparkle-Stew. First of all, some sources are claiming that People?s Sexiest Man Alive for 2009 is none other than Sparkles himself. People will announce this stuff officially on Wednesday, and the Sparkles thing might just be a rumor. But I?ll buy it. I think he?s People?s Sexiest.
Next up: Sparkles? red carpet interviews at the New Moon premiere. There?s nothing earth-shattering in here, but I found a couple of things interesting. Sparkles on Edward and love: ?The fact that this is a guy, a character who so many people think is this ideal man who has to be literally humiliated and beaten physically and mentally and emotionally, and still the girl he thinks he doesn?t deserve loves him. I didn?t make any sense what so ever.? Aw? slightly cute. On the red carpet, that little bitch Ryan Seacrest tried to get his hands on Sparkles too - and when Ryan asked about Pattinson?s relationship with Kristen, Robert?s rep pulled him away. Ryan tweeted about the incident: ?Robert pattison is class act. However the rep he was with yanked him off the air and off the mic when when I asked about kristen. Unreal!” Oh, keep your panties on, Seacrest. Ryan?s just mad because he wanted to make out with Sparkles.
Finally, we have Kristen?s interview in Parade Magazine this week. I know some people still see her a brat, but I find her very thoughtful and intelligent in this interview:
Facing fame.
“As soon as I stopped trying to control everything that came out of my mouth and every picture of me that came out, that’s when I became so much happier. It wasn’t like some big turning point; I’ve just grown into being able not to care as much. I realize that I’m not going to be able to influence the way everybody perceives me.”
Dating Robert Pattinson and all the rest of the gossip.
“I get why fans want to know more about the cast as real people and they want us to be together and all of that. I just have to sort of not think about that. People have a hard time separating us from our characters. There’s an incredibly large group that spends most of their time absorbed in the lives of people who’ve gotten some notoriety. It’s strange to me. I can’t have anything to do with it or else I’d step in and mess it up for myself, I just let it fall by the wayside. It doesn’t really affect me.”
But she wants to deliver for the millions of fans.
“If you make movies and you don’t care about the people who watch, then you probably are just wanting to be rich and famous. The fact that these movies are important to so many people makes me so happy. I care that they care. I said at Comic-Con that my favorite moment on New Moon was when we wrapped. People took it the wrong way. It wasn’t like I was glad it was over, it was just such a memorable moment for me because I literally fell apart. I went like, ‘Aaagh.’ I almost couldn’t handle it.”
What she’s learned about Bella.
“She is confident but not arrogant. Bella is like, ‘I’m allowed to make mistakes and I’m going to do things and take chances and not be ashamed of it.’ You see this girl really build herself back up, and by the time she makes this sort of rash decision to spend eternity with a vampire, you believe her. She’s lived life. She’s grown up.”
Her toughest scene.
“It’s when Edward tells Bella it’s all over and they’re never going to see each other again. There’s nothing like it in reality. It’s not even like a normal breakup scene because I know what it’s like to get broken up with. I don’t know what it’s like to get broken up with by a vampire. It’s like suddenly whatever has addicted an addict is taken away from them and they go through total withdrawal. That’s what Bella was going through. To portray that was really intimidating.”
Her take on immortality.
“The way I consider immortality from both my perspective as Kristen and my perspective as Bella, is that it’s completely unknown but given the right motivating factor, I’d be willing to explore it. Bella’s willing to give it a chance because of Edward, because she’s willing to sacrifice anything for him. To live forever seems on the surface a really cool thing. In our story, it’s terrifying.”
A preview of the third film, Eclipse.
“Just as you think you’re going to get the same story, all of a sudden it completely changes. Bella is back to herself. She’s comfortable and self-assured in a way that she wasn’t in New Moon. What I really loved about Eclipse was exploring different levels of love and acknowledging that the ideals that you had aren’t totally true. The other thing is that Bella’s innately honest. But in Eclipse, she lies to herself and she lies to everybody around her, about the fact that she’s in love with Jacob. That changes everything.”
The scene to watch for.
“Jacob and Edward, who are mortal enemies, are in a tent with sleeping Bella between them. It seems ridiculous, but it happens.”
Taking a chance on life.
“I really feel if you really feel like you need to do it then you should do it. Afterwards, if you’re told that you made a mistake and you admit it, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. You only live once. I say be extreme. Go for it. I think that’s the point of Twilight. I’m not preaching to anybody, but that’s what I think.”

Coming as welcome news for “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, a man who made an undesired appearance at E! Headquarters carrying a knife last week has been charged with felony stalking.
Breaking reports tell that Chidi Uzomah Jr. will be arraigned on Tuesday for the stalking count, also racking up two misdemeanors as a result of his unwillingness to heed previous court orders banning him from coming near Seacrest.
Meanwhile, Orange County prosecutors are still trying to determine whether Uzomah Jr. has violated his previous sentence as a result of his most recent actions.
Still in police custody, Seacrest’s alleged stalker face up to four years in prison if convicted of his three new charges.

Did Kourtney Kardashian get pregnant - accidentally on purpose? She certainly announced her pregnancy right in time to promote her spin off reality show with Khloe, premiering this Sunday on E!. Kourtney has revealed that she got pregnant after forgetting to take her birth control pills and explained that she realized she was pregnant when she starting feel nauseous and craving crackers. The thing is, she had a pregnancy scare that was shown on her family’s reality show back in November, 2007 and she’s five months pregnant now. So she had over a year after that first scare to wise up and make sure she was taking precautions. Instead, she’s pregnant for real this time, which suggests that if she wasn’t actually trying to get pregnant she wasn’t trying not to, either:
Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian says little sister Kim thought she’d be the first Kardashian sib to become a mom.
“She definitely thought it was going to be her first. Kim has, like, every baby name picked out,” Kourtney said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this morning.
“Kim…I don’t think she was envious, but who knows,” Kourtney went on of her sis, who recently split from Reggie Bush. “Kim gets mad if I get, like, the car that she wants. She, like, freaks out.
“Out of all of us, I was definitely the last one that was even thinking about it,” Kourtney confessed, adding that she’s due around Christmastime — the same period as another E! reality star, Kendra Wilkinson.
Kourtney says she had her sister Khloe tell the family she was expecting.
“I was just, like, so nervous,” she said. Stepdad Bruce Jenner was “the most realistic,” she says. “[He said], ‘You guys are acting like you’re getting a little puppy dog! You need to take this seriously’…. He freaks me out the most.”
Getting pregnant with Scott Disick — with whom she recently reunited after splitting in February — was unplanned.
“This probably sounds so dumb, but there’s so many times I’ll forget to take my pill and I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s just so stupid,” she admitted.
Kourtney says she had an inkling she was pregnant after getting “really nauseous, like, suddenly…not just in the morning. I would have to eat Saltines at all times in the day.”
On her new reality show — Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami (premiering Sunday) — she literally gets sick in a club, she said.
Her boobs also became “huge and they were so sore.”
Now that she’s about five months along, Kourtney explains how she dresses her bump: “I just wear jeans and keep them unbuttoned and wear a big shirt.”
(She’s also opening a new store in California “soon,” she says: Dash for Babies.)
Kourtney says she’s brainstorming names for either a boy or girl — and dropping the “K” alliteration her siblings share.

Kourtney announced on The Today Show yesterday that her baby’s father was her ex fiance, Scott Disick, and said that she’s back together with him. She said he was “very excited” about the pregnancy and that “we’re really happy.” When asked if she had any marriage plans, Kourtney said “we’ll see.” I’m sure we’ll learn all about it if she gets engaged at any point. If Kourtney is smart, and I’m not getting a lot of evidence in that direction although this pregnancy is probably the smartest thing she could have done for media coverage, she’ll pull the plug on this show once her baby is born. It’s going to be too much pressure to continue the show and be a new mom - and maybe a new wife - all at the same time.
Here are Kourtney and Khloe on The Today Show. The first part is about Khloe’s 20 pound weight loss, which she says took 6-7 weeks, not the 4 weeks reported in the tabloids. The part where Kourtney says she’s back with Scott starts at about 4:00 minutes in.
