Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux?s magical Parisian holiday continues! They arrived in Paris earlier this week, seemingly to mix business with pleasure by doing a series of appearances in between some relaxing tourist stuff, like shopping and going for romantic dinners. Last night, they attended the eighth annual (?) Series Mania festival at the Grand Rex in Paris. These are photos from the red carpet, where it seemed like Justin and Jennifer were the only stars in attendance.
While I?ve been enjoying Jennifer?s fashion in Paris in her other outings, I can?t say I like or respect this Givenchy dress. Then again, I rarely like Givenchy these days. There are times when a really crazy/architectural Givenchy will end up on a woman who can really carry it off, but those times are few and far between. This Givenchy isn?t even all that special – it?s just a high-neck tube dress with a cheap-looking ruffle. I think the ?cutout? at the knee is supposed to be high-design, but it makes it seem like the dress is falling apart and/or unfinished. Aniston?s jewelry here is by Jennifer Meyer.
Something nice: I do think Justin and Jennifer look nice together. I would like to see Justin wear a flatter heel though? His wife is short, even when she wears heels. There?s no need for him to wear all of these lifts and heeled boots.

For years, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux?s go-to vacation spot has been Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They go to Cabo so often that the paparazzi no longer bother to follow them down there. But every so often, Jennifer and Justin do a European vacation. They?ve been in Paris for a few days on what seems like a half-vacation/half-fun-business trip. The business part of the trip was Justin and Jennifer?s attendance at a Louis Vuitton cocktail party on Tuesday night. Jennifer wore an ensemble that this ?90s Girl loves – this was THE LOOK in the ?90s. Slightly flared black pants, a bustier/corset top and a smart jacket. This is how so many ?90s Girls dressed when they wanted to look fancy, down to the chunky heel. So, yeah, I think Jennifer looks great!
The LV party was celebrating Jeff Koons? collab with the brand on a series of fug-as-hell purses. Here?s a shot of JustJen inside the event:

People are always complaining about how Jennifer Aniston never really changes up her style, so these photos are evidence that? maybe she does change it up SLIGHTLY sometimes. Granted, she?s still wearing a little black dress, and her hair is down and she still loves strappy heels. But I do feel like she?s changed it up a bit. These are photos from last night?s Hollywood premiere event for the The Leftovers Season 3, the final season of the HBO show. Everyone involved with the show is ready to move on, and if you?re a fan of the show? my only hope for you is that I hope you feel satisfied with the conclusion of the series, because writer Damon Lindelof is notorious for sh-tting the bed.
Anyway, Justin Theroux is probably looking forward to the end of the series too – it?s prestige television, obviously, but I?m not sure that The Leftovers was really the career stepping-stone he thought it would be. But his wife came out to support him and all is well. Jennifer?s dress here in Brandon Maxwell and? I?ll say it, doesn?t it seem like something that Angelina Jolie would wear? It?s black leather!! Ha. No, Jolie doesn?t OWN ?black leather dresses,? but I?m still a little bit surprised to see Jennifer attempting a darker look like this. Am I crazy or is Jennifer?s hair a few shades darker too? Is it just the lighting or is she less sunny-blonde? And her makeup is crazy-dark too. It almost looks like her cheeks are bruised, she?s wearing such heavy rouge.
PS? I love the pockets on this Maxwell dress.

I?m actually a little bit surprised that Jennifer Aniston avoided the Oscars red carpet – she was nowhere to be seen on any of the preshows, I?m pretty sure. Then she just turned up inside. It surprises me because? I actually think this might be the best dress she?s ever worn to the Oscars, and she should have posed in it on the carpet! This gown is Versace and it?s very slinky and sexy and flattering. Not so flattering? The fact that her cheeks seem completely frozen. Yikes.

Here are some photos from the premiere of the ?raunchy? holiday movie, Office Christmas Party. The film actually has a decent ensemble including Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney B. Vance, Olivia Munn, Kate McKinnon and more. I mean, I?m not going to see it, but I bet it will be a decent hit for an R-rated comedy. The star of the premiere was probably Jennifer Aniston in this Roberto Cavalli Spring 2017 gown. I?ve been looking at so many photos from European and New York premieres, I had gotten used to seeing celebrities bundled up in heavier clothes, plus most people are wearing Christmas-y clothes now. So it?s weird to see Jennifer wear a dress that would look at home at a beach party in July. I think it?s a cute enough dress, but just not for a December premiere of a holiday movie? I also don?t understand why Aniston insists on flat-ironing her hair. Ugh.
Olivia Munn in Jonathan Simkhai. This gown is overworked, right? There?s too much going on with the ruffles and the crochet down the front and all of the straps. EDIT. That?s a note to the designer: EDIT. Olivia also just looks so different. And no, it?s really not the potatoes. Chica got a new face.
Katy Perry in the Cinqa Sept “Nahla” halter gown and point de esprit tights/hosiery. What is going on with Katy?s style these days? She?s relying too much on Marchesa and ?90s looks. This dress would have totally looked at home on a red carpet in 1995.

In Hollywood, I think the only bad part about taking part in an animated film is the fact that the premieres are always so early in the day. It makes it especially rough if the press/photo line is outdoors, because the lighting almost always sucks and no one wants to be the a?hole doing the entire red carpet in sunglasses. That?s what I was thinking when I went through these photos of Jennifer Aniston at the Westwood, California premiere of Storks: the lighting is terrible! The sun is too low in the sky.
It?s too bad because Jennifer?s dress is actually cute as hell. Her go-to look for years and years has just been to go with a solid-colored dress, usually black, and usually something that shows off her legs. But she changed it up for this premiere, wearing a really pretty little Valentino cocktail dress. The cut is flattering, it shows off her figure without looking ?extra,? and it feels like we?re seeing her in something really special. My only complaint is that the top seems just a tad too tight, and her girls look a little bit squished. Other details: her sandals are by Gianvito Rossi and her bracelet is by Celine.
Justin Theroux didn?t attend the premiere, from what I can see. It?s possible he was there and just didn?t walk the carpet, although I?m pretty sure that he?s still filming The Leftovers in Australia. That?s what his Instagram seems to indicate too. While I?m sure Justin?s absence from Jennifer?s premiere means nothing in the grand scheme of things, of course the tabloids are still trying to make it sound like something. Radar just did a story last week about Jennifer getting really mad/upset about their near-constant separation.
PS? oooh, the dress has pockets!!!

Here is Jennifer Aniston looking to be living la dolce vita as she enjoyed the Italian sunshine, sunbathing by the pool in a luxurious hillside accomodation in Ravello.
She appeared to be a dab hand at tanning, and ensured the sun caught her from every angle as she moved around to her front to get the most of the sunshine.
After a good sunbathing session she threw on a short black playsuit and went over to a group of her friends to enjoy a catch-up, laughing and joking as they all caught up.

Jennifer Aniston has written an op-ed for the Huffington Post. It seems to be a delayed reaction to those photos of Aniston looking pregnanty on vacation from last month. There was widespread speculation that Aniston was ?pregnant at 47? with a ?miracle baby,? which is honestly par for the course when it comes to Jennifer Aniston. Still, her rep denied the pregnancy rumor yet again, for the millionth time. Following that speculation, Aniston stepped out all over the place in NYC for weeks, and paparazzi got pap stroll pics of her seemingly every day in a two week span (often while she just happened to be carrying SmartWater). It did feel like Aniston wanted to be seen, and she wanted us to talk about how she definitely wasn?t pregnant. I thought the whole incident was over, or at least over until she had something new to promote. But it?s not over. Aniston?s HuffPo op-ed is about the tabloid media and how she?s fed up with all of it. You can read the full piece here. Here?s part of it:
Let me start by saying that addressing gossip is something I have never done. I don?t like to give energy to the business of lies, but I wanted to participate in a larger conversation that has already begun and needs to continue. Since I?m not on social media, I decided to put my thoughts here in writing. For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I?m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of ?journalism,? the ?First Amendment? and ?celebrity news.?
If I am some kind of symbol to some people out there, then clearly I am an example of the lens through which we, as a society, view our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, female friends and colleagues. The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing. The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty.
?The message that girls are not pretty unless they?re incredibly thin, that they?re not worthy of our attention unless they look like a supermodel or an actress on the cover of a magazine is something we?re all willingly buying into. This conditioning is something girls then carry into womanhood. We use celebrity ?news? to perpetuate this dehumanizing view of females, focused solely on one?s physical appearance, which tabloids turn into a sporting event of speculation. Is she pregnant? Is she eating too much? Has she let herself go? Is her marriage on the rocks because the camera detects some physical ?imperfection??
I used to tell myself that tabloids were like comic books, not to be taken seriously, just a soap opera for people to follow when they need a distraction. But I really can?t tell myself that anymore because the reality is the stalking and objectification I?ve experienced first-hand, going on decades now, reflects the warped way we calculate a woman?s worth.
This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a woman?s value based on her marital and maternal status. The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time… but who?s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they?re not married with children.
Here?s where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone. Let?s make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. Let?s make that decision consciously, outside of the tabloid noise. We don?t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own ?happily ever after? for ourselves.
I have grown tired of being part of this narrative. Yes, I may become a mother some day, and since I?m laying it all out there, if I ever do, I will be the first to let you know. But I?m not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete in some way, as our celebrity news culture would lead us all to believe. I resent being made to feel ?less than? because my body is changing and/or I had a burger for lunch and was photographed from a weird angle and therefore deemed one of two things: ?pregnant? or ?fat.? Not to mention the painful awkwardness that comes with being congratulated by friends, coworkers and strangers alike on one?s fictional pregnancy (often a dozen times in a single day).
From years of experience, I?ve learned tabloid practices, however dangerous, will not change, at least not any time soon. What can change is our awareness and reaction to the toxic messages buried within these seemingly harmless stories served up as truth and shaping our ideas of who we are. We get to decide how much we buy into what?s being served up, and maybe some day the tabloids will be forced to see the world through a different, more humanized lens because consumers have just stopped buying the bullsh-t.

I agree, in a general sense, that tabloids perpetuate a ridiculous, pearl-clutchy, 1950s-era standard of relationships, marriage, beauty and more. I also believe that ?the well is dry? when it comes to many tabloid narratives, many of which surround Aniston?s personal life. Do we need another story speculating about her womb? Of course not. Do women need to have children and/or be married to be complete human beings? No, and she makes a very valid and important point about women’s choices and the narrative surrounding that.
As I was reading this, I had a sense of ?right message, wrong messenger.? Aniston has spent years dealing with the aftermath of the narrative she herself pushed in the media (which the tabloids picked up after she led them down the primrose path): that she was the wronged woman, that she was ?the good girl,? that she was the victim. She invited us to speculate about her love life and her womb the moment she cried about all of it to Vanity Fair in 2005. She did a People cover,”Five Years After Brad,” in which she said “People… just want to see me as a mom and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And I just want to say, ?Everybody, relax! It?s going to happen.‘” (Later she changed her perspective on children, which is understandable.) If she didn’t want us to talk about her then-engagement to Justin Theroux, why did she organize those ring-debut photos?
Also as she builds up product endorsements and lifestyle/beauty brands, increasingly what she’s selling is her lifestyle. Either she just happened to be followed to the Bahamas by paparazzi or she set up and posed for those bikini photos on the beach. She didn’t deserve the body scrutiny by any means, but she may have arranged for the photos to get out there. That?s the celebrity-media-fan/consumer ecosystem. If you?re selling your life as aspirational, people want to know about your life. Even Gwyneth Paltrow recognizes that.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got pap?d as they were vacationing in the Bahamas, and the photos made everyone sit up and wonder ?Damn, is Jennifer Aniston pregnant?? To be fair to those speculating, Jennifer did look like she had a particularly big meal and/or a baby in that belly. But as soon as speculation began, Jennifer?s rep denied it flat-out. That didn?t stop In Touch Weekly from running those photos on their cover this week. It also didn?t stop In Touch from running a follow-up story online in which unnamed doctors INSIST that Jennifer is totally pregnant. So which is it? Bumpspiracy or food baby? Would Aniston?s rep lie to everyone? I think we all know the answer to that, but I don?t think she?s knocked up right now.
Anyway, these are some photos of Aniston out and about in NYC on Thursday and as you can see, she?s flashing a sliver of flat, toned stomach. No bumpspiracy! Jennifer might be hanging out in New York right now because she?s launching her third fragrance, Near Dusk. I wish she had called it ?Dusk Adjacent.? Just because that would be a great name for a perfume. Jennifer spoke to Glamour UK about Dusk Adjacent and more ? you can read the piece here and here are some highlights:
She?s always loved making her own perfume: ?I’ve always love fragrance and have been making my own for a long time by mixing oils and lotions. I love the process of doing that so when I was approached to create Near Dusk, I was so excited and it definitely felt like a very organic decision.?
Don?t wear too much perfume: ?The main thing is never having the perfume wear you. Don’t pick something you feel is too strong for you and don’t wear too much. Some people douse themselves in it – you want to wear a perfume and create moments with it, rather than, you know, walk into an elevator and gag from overload. Just wear it for yourself, a little behind the ear, nothing overpowering.
Beauty advice to her younger self: ?I always think, ‘why didn’t someone make me wear sunscreen?’ Again, it comes back to being young and thinking I was invincible – I thought that dewy, tanned skin would just stay beautiful but you have to protect it. I understand it’s not easy, it’s hard to keep remembering and reapplying but it’s so worth it.?
Three items every woman should have in her closet: ?A great black blazer, a great pair of jeans and a beautiful wedge shoe. There’s always a scarf, but again, that’s a fourth!?

My closet is a failure because I don?t have a black blazer or a pair of wedges. Or a scarf, come to think of it. I?m just not a scarf person ? if I think I?m going to be cold, I?ll bring a light jacket or a cardigan, but never a scarf. Besides, that?s really not a problem for me since I always run hot. I?m one of those people in a light t-shirt in 50 degree weather. As for her rules for perfume? God, when I was a lot younger, I used to douse myself in perfume. I?m embarrassed about that now. Nowadays, I do try to do the less-is-more thing. You want people to smell something nice as you walk by, but you don?t want your perfume to linger in a closed space.

It feels like it?s been months since we?ve seen Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux out together. It?s been so long that my first thought was conspiratorial: ?Is The Leftovers Season 3 about to come on or something?? But no, they?re not promoting anything with a pap stroll. The Leftovers Season 3 (the last season) is filming right now and no one?s sure if it will air this year or next. Justin?s actually due to fly to Australia to finish filming this summer. Jennifer doesn?t have anything coming out right now either, except maybe the Mother?s Day DVD.
Jen and Justin are actually in NYC following a romantic vacation in the Bahamas. The Daily Mail had some exclusive shots from their vacation ? go here to see. I?m sure a lot of people will think that Jennifer looks pregnant. I mean? I would probably put Jen on Bump Watch if this was 2006. But she?s 47 years old and I think there?s a good chance that she?s just carrying a food baby. Still, perhaps a surprise pregnancy explains Jennifer?s bizarre outfit in these NYC photos. She looks like she was dressed by a Depp AND a Kardashian. Who pairs short-shorts with a long duster jacket and multiple scarves on a hot day in New York? WHY ALL THE LAYERS?
Meanwhile, last week?s In Touch Weekly was a glorious piece of old-school fan fiction. ?Sources? told the tabloid that Brad Pitt was going to divorce Angelina Jolie and then Jennifer Aniston was going to divorce Justin and then Jen and Brad would run off together. Obviously, Gossip Cop shat all over it. That being said, I?d be lying if I said I didn?t wonder about the state of the JustJen marriage.
