Just FYI: Jennifer Aniston?s llama sweater is Isabel Marant. These are just some assorted photos of Aniston out and about in NYC last week. She seemingly went to NYC just to hang out with friends and not to see her fianc Justin Theroux. I don?t think Theroux was in NYC at the same time. Weird, right? But it felt like Aniston wanted to be seen all of a sudden after ?going dark? for two months following the Oscars. Aniston waged one of the most aggressive Oscar campaigns in recent history, and at the end of the day, Academy voters denied Aniston a nomination. But she did get to present, so at least there?s that.
Aniston repeatedly said during her aggressive Oscar campaign that she hoped Cake would be the signal to directors and producers that she could handle more complex roles, that she wasn?t just a rom-com actress. For what it?s worth? I have issues with Jennifer Aniston, but I?ve always thought she was a gifted comedienne. She has great timing, she can deliver well-written comedic lines and she?s not afraid to look foolish for the sake of a laugh. Her attempts to be ?more? than a comedic actress have always gotten her into trouble. So? I for one was hoping that Cake would not bring her a truck full of drama scripts. And it hasn?t. It looks like Aniston?s first post-Cake film will be? a sequel to Mean Girls?!
New Line Cinema is setting Sean Anders to direct Mean Moms, and is targeting a summer start date for a film that has Jennifer Aniston eyeing the female-driven comedy. They worked together in Horrible Bosses 2 at New Line.
Mean Moms matches the spirit of Mean Girls with an adult cast. A happily married mother of two who moves from small-town America to the high?class suburbs suddenly must confront the cutthroat world of competitive parenting. Jill Messick is producing with Offspring Entertainment partners Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman. Aniston doesn?t have a deal at this point and insiders in her camp said she has other options this summer, so stay tuned on this one.
Like Mean Girls, this movie is based on advice books written by Rosalind Wiseman. This film is based on Queen Bee Moms And King Pin Dads: Dealing With The Parents, Teachers, Coaches, And Counselors Who Can Make ? or Break ? Your Child?s Future; Mean Girls was based on Queen Bees And Wannabes. It isn?t precisely clear what role Aniston will play or if it will be closer in spirit to Rachel McAdams or Lindsay Lohan.

This has the potential to be really good and really funny. I hope that Aniston doesn?t get cast as the fish-out-of-water Lohan character. It would be much funnier (and truer to her real personality) if she was cast as the Queen Bee of the cool moms, the McAdams character. There?s a Mommy Mafia in LA and Aniston is very much aligned with that group (despite the fact that she doesn?t have kids). That?s who she is ? she?s the ?you can?t sit with us? Queen Bee.

Jennifer Aniston has been in NYC for several days now. These are photos of Aniston out last night ? she went out to dinner at Blue Hill, again with Jason Bateman and his wife. She was also spotted out with them on Tuesday night, dining at Omar?s. In these pics, Aniston has been described by some outlets as looking like she?s having a rough night. I don?t think so? She probably had a few drinks, but she?s not fall-down drunk. And it was windy, which is why her hair is all over the place.
Should we discuss the leather pants? I don?t mind the leather pants. I didn?t know she had it in her, honestly. Justin Theroux might have converted her ? Justin has worn leather pants before, although he does seem to prefer skinny jeans and JORTS. I actually like Jennifer?s whole outfit here, that sweater is the bomb. My only minor complaint is that I don?t like the ?matte? look of her boots side-by-side with the shiny leather pants. That?s one of my big issues with wearing leather or vinyl pants (I had and loved vinyl pants in college): what is the best footwear? I think boots are fine, but you do have to make sure that the black of the boots and the black of your leather pants ?go? together.
As for Justin Theroux? where is he? Some say he?s in Rome working on Zoolander 2. Some say he?s in Texas filming The Leftovers Season 2. Season 2 doesn?t air until September so? I don?t know what to tell you. I do think Justin and Jennifer are having issues, but she?s still wearing her ring in these photos.

Jennifer Aniston is surprisingly not holed up in Bel Air. Shocking! She?s been in NYC for a few days, and these are some photos of Jennifer and Amanda Anka out for dinner last night. Anka is Jason Bateman?s wife ? Bateman and Aniston have worked together so many times, and Jason and Amanda are part of the group of friends that Jennifer has cultivated in LA. It makes sense that Amanda and Jennifer would do dinner by themselves, I guess. They went to Nobu, and from what I can tell, Jason did not join them. And neither did Justin Theroux. I guess Jennifer is in NYC to spend time with Justin, although I couldn?t honestly tell you that Justin is currently in NYC. Last I heard, he was in Rome working on Zoolander 2. Last I heard, there was trouble in JustJen-ville.
Let?s talk about Jennifer?s street style, shall we? I?ve always thought that Jennifer?s personal, casual style was a lot better than her red carpet style, probably because I identify with Jennifer?s casual style. She has some great jeans in her closet, and some really cute sweaters, coats, sandals, blouses. I don?t hate her look here ? I was going to bitch about the rolled-up jeans, but I think she needed to do that for the boots. The coat and scarf are too bulky, but there?s been a chill in the air on the West Coast, so I?ll give her that too. She?s still wearing her engagement ring too (SO CLOUDY, like a quartz).
I wonder if Jennifer is going to turn up at a dinner with Amal and George Clooney. Remember, George and Jennifer are ?friends? now. They party together in Cabo. I would think that Amal is trying to jettison some of George?s friends though, so does Amal approve of Aniston?

Call me crazy, but I?ve been missing Jennifer Aniston. All of a sudden, she got sort of interesting when she was hustling for an Oscar nomination. But since the Oscars (where she failed to get a nom but did score a presenting gig), she?s been really quiet. Which is her M.O. ? she turns on the hustle and then she?s capable of ?disappearing? or staying off the radar for months at a time. So I?m glad that she?s giving interviews again. Unfortunately, her new interview with Fashionista is all about?wait for it? hair. It?s just infotainment/product placement/shilling for Living Proof, the haircare company that she co-owns. Some highlights:
Her hairstylist & BFF Chris McMillan convinces her to try new things: ?Oh god, yes. Always. Chris has that thing where he?s like Edward Scissorhands. He just sees hair and he wants to cut it. He would love for me to go… he wants to just cut it all off, kind of like a pixie, which I will never do. And he always likes to give it a good two inches every year, just a healthy cut. He?s also suggested going back to dark brown. We play with different things. I do listen to him sometimes.
Whether she ever felt the urge to go platinum: ?No. No I don?t. I?m not a trend person really. I kind of wait for the trends to go. Platinum blond ? unless it was a wig ? no.?
The no-shampoo movement: ?Silicone is a culprit in most shampoos. Over time, it builds up and turns into a hard coating and it cracks and breaks and snaps your hair. [People were] always saying, ‘Don?t wash your hair every day!’ but it was impossible ? because of all the oils and silicone ? it would create this greaseball head of hair within a day. The Living Proof scientists over there at MIT found a molecule to replace the silicone. Therefore, your hair is lighter and cleaner for days. I?d say I go every two to three days easily without washing my hair.
Whether she shampoos her hair after workouts: ?No, I don?t. I actually don?t. A little sweat in the hair is nice. It?s like a little product. You just blow it out with your fingers and it?s actually just fun.
Why she wore her hair down at the Oscars: ?I just wanted to be comfortable that day. The [Versace] dress just fit like a glove and I felt so comfortable. I don?t like [to wear] my hair up very much. I?m not an up-do kind of gal. I feel like if you?re wearing a gown with glitter, you want to have beachy, natural hair to kind of go against that. So that?s sort of my main thing, being me. Being comfortable.

She was doing updos for some of the earlier awards season events, likely in attempt to show potential Oscar voters that she could be serious and award-worthy, that she wasn?t just a shallow lady with famous hair. But once she didn?t get the Oscar nom, the hair came down and it?s never going up again!!! What else? I agree with Chris, she should go dark brown (or even a warm medium brown) for a change. I think darker hair would make her look younger. I don?t think she should ever go platinum though ? that?s a difficult look for many women, and I don?t really think Aniston has the skin to pull it off. As for Chris wanting to do a pixie on her? eh. I think pixies are ?trendy? too, but thankfully the trend seems to be dissipating some.
Last thing: I think it?s gross to NOT shampoo your hair after a workout. But then again, I get really sweaty and I can?t imagine not properly washing everything after a workout.

Despite the fact that her ?Cake? performance didn?t garner a Best Actress nod, Jennifer Aniston was still in good spirits as she attended the 2015 Oscars earlier tonight (February 22).
All decked out in designer duds, the ?Office Space? babe got plenty of attention from fans and press as she strolled around the Dolby Theatre prior to the big event.
As previously reported by the GossipCenter, Neil Patrick Harris will handle the hosting duties tonight, while Lady Gaga, Anna Kendrick and Jennifer Hudson are all slated for live performances!

I figured this would happen. I actually think this was the point of Jennifer Aniston?s ?#1 Snubbed Media Tour? a few weeks ago. Of course she wanted to get nominated for an Oscar, but failing that, she wanted to be known as the #1 Snubbed this year so Oscar producers would feel like they had to ?make it up? to her by inviting her to present at this year?s Oscars. Meanwhile, the real #1 Snubbed, David Oyelowo, was also asked to present, so I?m not mad about that at least.
No hard feelings, Jen? When the Oscar nominations were announced last month, there was one name noticeably missing from the Best Actress category. After her critically acclaimed performance in Cake, Jennifer Aniston was considered a frontrunner to be nominated.
The Friends alum, 45, however, was unable to score the coveted honor, and many considered it to be one of the biggest snubs of this season. On Tuesday, Feb. 10, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Scienes announced that Aniston would still have a part in the show — as a presenter.
Other presenters include Selma’s David Oyelowo, who was also snubbed for his role as Martin Luther King, Jr., making this year’s acting nominees the whitest group in 20 years.
Other presenters include Sienna Miller, Chris Pratt, Chris Rock, Kerry Washington, and John Travolta. At last year’s show, Travolta made headlines and created countless memes when he accidentally introduced Frozen songstress Idina Menzel as “Adele Dazeem.” Fingers crossed he has to pronounce the name “Benedict Cumberbatch” this time.

I can?t believe they asked Travolta again after the Adele Dazeem disaster. Maybe they?re actually hoping for another Travolta mishap because that was one of the most-talked about moments last year. Anyway, I?m not super-jazzed about this presenters list so far. I?m excited that all of last year?s winners are coming back, of course, because I?m dying for some Cate Blanchett and I always love some Lupita. Benedict Cumberbatch is going to present too. But I still feel like they need some bigger names other than? Sienna Miller and Chris Pratt, you know? And how about some fun people too? How about Viola Davis? Or Catherine Deneuve? Or Charlize Theron & Sean Penn? Or Bill Murray? Or Angelina Jolie? Hell, I would happy to see Gwyneth Paltrow as a presenter too.
Do you think that because Aniston is going to present, that means Brangelina won?t be asked to attend or present? Brad is one of the producers on Selma, you know. He would have legitimate reason to be there. And Angelina?s Unbroken got some technical nominations.

Here on update on this ^^ outfit that Jennifer Aniston wore to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival over the weekend. I said at the time that it looked like Saint Laurent, but it?s actually Tom Ford. Now you know! While at the SBIFF, Aniston spoke to Extra ? you can see the video here. The only thing I found interesting was that she?s apparently a huge fan of House of Cards? Has she name-checked that show? I only remember her talking about The Bachelor and how she enjoys that. Aniston also spoke to Empire magazine recently about aging and how it?s been more than a decade since Friends went off the air. She said:
?In a selfish, greedy way I could have kept doing it [Friends] until today. It feels really odd when people say, ?Oh, that was in 1995 or ’94.? This is why I say everything moves so quickly. I still feel like I’m a 28-year old kid.?

I do think that forever-28 thing is one of the defining characteristics of Aniston. Instead of making her seem forever young, it kind of makes her look dated though. Like, she?s Totally ?90s. Same hair, same references, same conversation.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly (via the DM) claims that Jennifer and Justin Theroux are ?haggling? over the pre-nup. So many haggles that they still haven?t set a wedding date.
They have been engaged since 2012 but have yet to set a date for their wedding. Still, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are ‘haggling’ over the final details of their over $110m prenup, according to UsWeekly. On the table is the subject if her 43-year-old beau should deserve a cut of the money she will receive from Netflix from Friends royalties, it was claimed.
‘The prenup is pretty much done,’ a source told the weekly. ‘Jen won’t see money from Netflix for about a year, so there has been back and forth about whether her earnings will be considered from during or before their marriage.’ The insider then noted that Aniston – who turns 46-years-old on February 11 – ‘prefers the latter.?
The two actors have different incomes. While Theroux makes about $75,000 an episode on his show The Leftover (it is not known how much he makes from script writing), the ex-wife of Brad Pitt can make millions for just one film. The blonde Horrible Bosses 2 star also has ad deals with Aveeno and is a co-owner of Living Proof.
Though the two have yet to set a date, there has been talk that they want a ‘small beach wedding,’ another source said to UsWeekly.

I?ll take Jennifer at her word that she already feels married to Justin and that she?s not in some crazy rush to get married, but I also think if she had her way, the wedding would have gone down YEARS ago. I think Justin is really and truly gun-shy about marriage in general and marriage to Aniston specifically. He?s the common-law husband type, or at least that?s how he sees himself. Like he?s too cool and hip to, like, wear a tux and say some vows. Once they get the pre-nup finalized, what will Justin use as an excuse then?

Here are some photos of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux out in Santa Barbara on Friday night. They were attending the Santa Barbara Film Festival, where Aniston picked up the Montecito Award for her work in Cake. She didn?t let Justin walk the carpet with her or pose for photos with her. At least she didn?t make him stay in the car! As for her outfit, I cannot find the ID to save my life. I think the ensemble is probably Saint Laurent ? she?s been wearing so much Saint Laurent lately (so has The Leg), plus that belt feels very YSL-y. I’m glad she finally covered up her girls, and I like it when she wears pants. I just feel like these pants could have been hemmed a bit better.
Not only did Jennifer get the award, but she also sat down for a two-hour Q&A/discussion for the fans. She talked about how she got the part of Rachel on Friends (a story I feel like we?ve heard about a million times) ? go here to read. She also talked a bit about how difficult it is for her to get hired for Cake-like films, because people only think of her as a rom-com queen.
Her rom-com reputation: It?s ?sort of blessing and a curse? Usually I don’t even get the opportunity to get in the room because it’s usually given to an actress who is already in the director’s mind or the screenwriter’s mind. And usually I’m not put onto those lists ? ‘Too much baggage with that’ or ‘Won’t be able to disappear’ or all that kind of stuff, which makes me just more and more to want to find something that I can dig my heels into.”
The paparazzi & the tabloids: “It’s a real distraction and it’s a real hassle. It’s just one of those things that’s unfortunately out of anyone’s control, and so you just have to hope that you can get through a take without one of them screaming something or using their flashbulbs if you’re doing a night shoot. And when you’re out there being quite vulnerable and emoting and all of that stuff, having these, you know, animals over there is disheartening. It’s an added challenge. It’s not something they teach you or they warn you about.”
On Justin Theroux: “He?s an amazing character actor and actor period.” She said she first met Theroux when he was shooting 2008?s Tropic Thunder, but first worked ? and fell in love with him ? on 2012?s Wanderlust, noting, “He kind of steals the movie!”

While I think she?s probably dead-on in her assessment of why she isn?t offered darker, more dramatic roles ? because people only think of her as a bubbly rom-com princess ? I feel like she?s also missing one other reason why she isn?t offered the kind of juicy roles she thinks she should have: because literally no one is buying it. She?s never been able to carry a film on her own. Pair her with a strong leading man, sure. Put her in an ensemble, sure. She does well enough. But she?s not being offered the juicy roles in dark dramas because she?s never been able to show that A) she can pull them off or B) that anyone will go see the film with Aniston in the lead.
Also: do you think it?s shade that she calls Justin a ?character actor?? I do not. He IS a character actor, just as Jennifer is a character actress, except she thinks she?s a leading lady. But that?s the thing? Justin might think of himself as a leading man. Which is why I don?t know if it?s shade to call him a character actor. It?s like Jennifer is saying ?You?re never going to be more than part of an ensemble. But I still love you.?
There’s some discussion about whether Aniston will be invited to present at the Oscars. I think she might be asked, and if asked, I think she would show up. Especially if the producers aren’t inviting Brangelina. But Brad is one of the producers on Selma, which is up for Best Picture, so who knows?
Last thing ? Page Six says Jennifer had a ?girls? night? with Chelsea Handler, Sandra Bullock and some other ladies in West Hollywood last week.
