Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner team up in a best friends-y photo shoot for next month’s issue of Marie Claire, and seeing them side by side like this makes you wonder — which one got the better fake lips? (The last two thumbs below are before-and-after pics of both actresses for your reference.) I’ve been looking at them all morning and I still can’t decide. I think the only way to settle this is with science, by which I mean a good ol’ fashioned girl-on-girl kiss-off. You know, to measure, uh, lip density and overall volume and… um, pressure per square inch and then map it on a graph for an accurate and fair comparison. Or we could just go with a full body contact naked oil wrestling match. See, the great thing about science is that it’s pretty impartial.

Taking care of her parental responsibilities, Jennifer Garner was spotted picking up her daughter Violet from preschool in Santa Monica yesterday (February 3).
The “Catch and Release” actress looked lovely as she led her little girl by the hand through the parking lot to find a plethora of paparazzi waiting for them.

Tending to her motherly duties, Jennifer Garner was spotted out on a schoolhouse run in Santa Monica on Tuesday afternoon (February 2).
Toting little Seraphina in her arms, the “Alias” actress was helped by a nanny who scooped up a smiley Violet from her classroom sessions before loading into their nearby car.
Meanwhile, Jen recently chatted with press about the joy of working alongside actress Jessica Biel in the upcoming movie, “Valentine’s Day”.
She explains, “We don’t work with a lot of women on our films. And I haven’t worked much at all lately, to tell you the truth. The two weeks I worked on this movie were the only two weeks I’ve worked in about a year-and-a-half because of being pregnant and now having a one year old.”
Miss Garner adds, “But when I do work, it’s always one woman and a bunch of men in my casts - maybe my character has a friend in the script, but not always. It’s odd. So on this film, it was great to have someone like Jessica around, even though most of our scenes as best friends were over the phone.”

Fresh off of a fun-filled trip to Disneyland the previous day, Jennifer Garner was spotted picking up her daughter Violet from school in Santa Monica on Thursday afternoon (January 28).
The former “Alias” actress walked past the always-present paparazzi while her 4-year-old angel ran out to the car.
Meanwhile, Jen recently chatted about getting in slender shape - with an insider recently telling of the actress, “She’s a size 0 now. She used to be a size 6.”
Of shedding the pounds, Miss Garner said: “ I got on the treadmill, stopped stuffing my face and lost the weight. I cut out croissants, bagels and muffins - all the good stuff - and went back to having a salad once a day and protein.”

Life & Style has an article up about Jennifer Garner?s dramatic weight loss, but in all fairness to them, L&S isn?t being judgy about it. They don?t come down on one side (?she?s too thin!?) or another (?she looks fine!?). I?m the one who is concerned, not L&S. As I noted post-Golden Globes, Jennifer looks way too thin for my taste on the red carpet. True, she?s not emaciated, but she?s had some dramatic weight loss in just the past few months (see photos of Jennifer in September). Life & Style attributes her drop in three dress sizes to her getting serious about losing the baby weight:
When a slim Jennifer Garner stepped onto the stage recently at the Golden Globes in LA, the Versace-clad mom of two drew plenty of oohs and aahs. But her streamlined silhouette was a new look for the 37-year-old star, who was once famous for the super-muscular physique she showed off in action-hero roles.
“She’s a size 0 now,” an insider says about Jen, who has two daughters, Violet, 4, and Seraphina, 13 months, with hubby Ben Affleck. “She used to be a size 6.”
That means after having her second child, Jen dropped the baby weight and more — which was tough to do the first time, she’s said.
“I just wasn’t that motivated,” Jen said about taking time to lose the weight after Violet’s birth. Then I got on the treadmill, stopped stuffing my face and lost the weight. I cut out croissants, bagels and muffins — all the good stuff — and went back to having
a salad once a day and protein.”

I?d be more likely to believe that Jennifer?s metabolism has gone haywire post-pregnancy rather than she was aiming to be a size zero. That, and she probably loses a lot of wieght running around after Violet and Seraphina, and she?s a busy mom. I really believe Garner is the kind of woman who would take her own health seriously, and would want to get back to her natural, slender frame, yet still have some athleticism and some meat on her bones. Maybe when she gets back to work on a film, she?ll put on some more weight?
When I was researching this, I found this little blurb from Us Weekly/iVillage. Apparently, Ben Affleck still wants a son, and he?s still trying to convince Jennifer to get pregnant again. This story has been reported before - and now they?re claiming that Jennifer is reusing to get pregnant again because she?s worked so hard to get her body back.

Looking very much in love, Ben Affleck was spotted spending time alongside Jennifer Garner in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday afternoon (January 26).
Meeting up after tending to separate matters, the “Juno” actress and her “Good Will Hunting” hubby laughed amongst one another while chatting it up during their midday stroll.
The outing comes after Ben voiced his displeasure over Jen’s openness about his seductive writing skills during a recent interview with Parade magazine.
After being questioned about Garner’s comments, Affleck told press, “I do write emails to my wife, that is true. Sounds like the kind of thing that my wife was looking for something to say in the interview and that’s what she came up with.”
He irritatedly continued, “So, thanks for that, because now here I am, doing another interview and then they ask me about that. So, thank you honey.”

Happy to see the sunshine after a rainy week on the west coast, the former “Alias” actress toted baby Seraphina in her arms while pushing Violet in a stroller at the local farmers market.
Picking up a big bouquet of flowers, Miss Garner was also spotted sneaking in a quick snack as she tried to duck from the view of following paparazzi.

The “13 Going on 30” actress held young Violet’s hand as they made their way past the always present paparazzi and into the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Meanwhile, husband and daddy Ben Affleck is in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival where his film “The Company Men” is making its debut.
Per the official Sundance website, “The Company Men” is a tribute to America’s unsung heroes: hard-working men caught in life’s unexpected misfortunes.

She’s definitely a woman-on-the-go, and Jennifer Garner recently opened up on how she makes time for the important things in life.
As the wife of Ben Affleck and a mother of two beautiful girls- not to mention a booming film career – Ms Garner admits to Parade magazine that she still manages to keep the sparks alive with Affleck.
She tells, “You steal the time. You steal a date, you steal a kiss, you steal a whisper. You sit next to each other on the couch with computers on your laps. After the kids are asleep you...well, you know.”
The 37-year-old added, “Whatever it is. You slip away for a night, which we’ve only just now done for the first time. Of course, I call home while we’re away. Ben would be surprised if I didn’t.”

Fitting in some precious family time, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck enjoyed a weekend park playdate in Santa Monica on Saturday (January 16).
The “Juno” actress and her “Good Will Hunting” hubby tended to daughters Violet and Seraphina - having a blast on the playground equipment during their midday outing.
During the course of the day, Jen also made time to stock up on the household needs - going shopping at Gelson’s with little Violet.
Meanwhile, Miss Garner will be among the stars on hand for the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening, as she’s scheduled to present an award at the annual ceremony.
