Jennifer Lopez has found herself back in LA, after the set of her latest film production had to shutdown because of a massive Covid outbreak. In the new year, J.Lo traveled to Spain for the production of The Mother. The production was shut down last week, and J.Lo boarded a private plane back to LA.
So what does J.Lo do when she unexpectedly finds herself with free time? She takes her daughter Emme out shopping at the Grove, and they got some ice cream. Jen and Emme were out together all weekend, and J.Lo had at least three big costume changes. And Emme? did not. Emme was rocking her oversized overalls (I call them ?bibs?) all weekend.
I honestly love Emme and J.Lo?s mother-daughter aesthetic. I find it charming. J.Lo is all glam and costume changes and ?I?m going to make maxi skirts happen? and shopping excursions in high-heeled black boots and aviator glasses. Meanwhile, Emme is like ?my bibs are so comfortable, I love pairing them with an oversized sweater.? Emme is all about shapeless fashion, granny style, androgyny. What?s cool is that J.Lo just accepts that this is Emme?s style, and maybe it?s a phase and maybe not, but it?s fine. She?s gonna let Emme be Emme.
PS? I really dislike J.Lo?s fringed Chanel purse, it?s fug! That jean maxi skirt is so unflattering too.

Ben Affleck and Guadalupe Rodriguez have always been buds. During Bennifer 1.0, J.Lo?s mom adored Ben and they often went out gambling together. When Ben and Jen got back together in the spring of 2021, one of the first signs that this revival was the real deal was when Ben made a work trip to Las Vegas, and he brought Guadalupe with him (she ended up being in the gambling-app commercial Ben filmed in Vegas). Sources also insisted that Guadalupe was ?thrilled? that her daughter and Ben were giving it another shot, and that Ben was and is her favorite of all of J.Lo?s partners. So, funny story: Guadalupe has moved in, and she?s doing the most to ensure that the Bennifer Revival keeps happening.
Three is not a crowd when it comes to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Sources tell Star the singer?s mother, Guadalupe Rodrguez, has moved in with them!
?They love having her around,? says an insider. ?She?s always doing special little things to make their house a home.? Turns out the 76-year-old has been a big fan of Ben since Bennifer 1.0.
?Lupe always wanted J.Lo to marry him and was so sorry when they split up the first time,? says the insider, adding that those close to her suspect she prefers Ben to Jennifer?s ex, Alex Rodriguez. ?She?d love to see them get married at last.?
To that end, the former school worker has been spoiling the pair by cooking and cleaning up a storm. ?She?s making her wonderful Latin dishes like fried pork chops, rice and veggies,? adds the insider. ?The kitchen smells so good and homey.? And she?s no pushy monster-in-law type: ?She doesn?t hover when they need some alone time!?

I mean, Ben and Jen aren?t living together they?re maintaining separate residences, but obviously, they spend a lot of time at each other?s homes. They have been looking at real estate though, so maybe they will cohabitate officially soon enough. My point is that I think it?s more like Guadalupe probably lives with J.Lo, and Ben probably loves having her around and he loves visiting Jen?s house partly because of Guadalupe. Ben really was ?the one who got away? for both mother and daughter, huh? It?s sweet.

Autumnal Bennifer was stretching into Winter Bennifer and everything seemed to be going smoothly. Then Ben appeared on Howard Stern?s SiriusXM show in December and all hell broke loose. Ben?s quotes about addiction and his marriage to Jen Garner did not land well he said, in various ways, that he felt trapped in his marriage to Garner, that if he was still with Garner, he would still be drinking, and he definitely left the impression that he blamed his *marriage* for his alcoholism. When Ben tried to clarify the comments, he said it was all ?clickbait? (no, he was accurately quoted) and incidentally, he looked and sounded completely baked during that Jimmy Kimmel interview.
The point is that Ben is a chronic self-saboteur and whenever things are going too well for him, historically he begins to self-sabotage. So I was interested to see what the reaction would be from J.Lo. At first, sources claimed that J.Lo was mad about Ben?s mess, then Lopez directly denied those tabloid reports and said she was not mad at Ben at all. Over the holidays, they spent a lot of time together with their kids, and everything seems back on the Bennifer schedule:

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in April before going Instagram official in July for the singers birthday. A source previously told PEOPLE they are in it for the long run.

I assume this means Garner had the kids on Christmas Day and so Ben did ?Christmas? with the kids on Christmas Eve, then spent Christmas Day with J.Lo, Emme and Max. Where is Marc Anthony in all of this? Was he there too, or was he spending time with some of his other kids? Anyway, at one point, I thought that we would perhaps get a Christmas proposal from Bennifer, but I do think that Ben?s Stern interview set back the schedule a bit. Maybe a Valentine?s Day proposal? Hm.

Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck were photographed out and about in LA yesterday. They were leaving a music studio, where I guess J.Lo was working and Ben was just hanging out. Jennifer is finally back in LA after wrapping on the production for The Mother in Vancouver. Jen had been working in Vancouver throughout the fall, although she was getting weekends off to travel to see Ben or to work on other stuff. Apparently, Jennifer is very happy to be back in LA, and she and Ben are making plans to spend more time together now:

Jennifer flew back to L.A. from Vancouver to celebrate Thanksgiving with her kids and Ben, the source says. The last few weeks have been intense for her. The source adds it hasnt been easy for Lopez to be working in Canada this fall away from her loved ones, but the Hustlers star is looking forward to some well-deserved time off.
Its been hard for her to be away from her kids and Ben, the insider explains. She is very much looking forward to a short break.
Despite the challenges of their dueling schedules, Lopez and Afflecks relationship is still going strong. They are doing really well. Jennifer loves being with Ben. She feels its truly meant to be, the source tells PEOPLE.
A separate source told PEOPLE this fall that Affleck and Lopez are looking forward to spending Christmas together with their families. They will both get a break. For Jennifer, Christmas is all about the kids, the source shared. She makes it very special for them. She loves Christmas. This year, it will take some more planning since Ben wants to be with his kids too. They havent made any specific holiday decisions yet and are still working it all out.

The answer for Christmas is obviously J.Lo and Marc Anthony hosting an elaborate Christmas feast and celebration (complete with fireworks) at a huge Beverly Hills mansion, and encouraging Ben, the Affleck kids and Jennifer Garner to come over so they?re all one big familia. What will actually happen is that the Garner-Affleck kids will probably have two Christmases, one with their mom and one with their dad, and that Ben will go to J.Lo?s place when he?s done with his kids. Ah, divorced parents. Anyway, I hope Ben and J.Lo spend a lot of time together in December and I?m glad they got some time together on Thanksgiving. We joke around about how J.Lo has been married a million times and how she marries every guy she dates, but she actually doesn?t do that anymore! She didn?t marry Alex Rodriguez because, I believe, she knows in her gut that he?s a douchebag. She didn?t marry Casper Smart because ew, why would she. But with Ben, it is different. So much unfinished business, so many years since their first romance. Would I love to see them get married? For sure. Do I think it?s going to happen in, like, January? No. I don?t. The only reason for them to marry that soon is if she was going to be his date at all of the awards shows (omg) and she wanted to promote Marry Me, which is out on February 11 (omg). Last week, Ben Affleck was in Texas, and had likely already started filming on his latest movie. We knew that Jennifer Lopez and Ben were about to be separated for the fall, with him filming in Texas and Jen headed to Canada to film something there. We knew that they were targeting a big reunion for Christmas (her people indicated as much to People). But we also knew that there would probably be opportunities for them to visit each other. And wouldn?t you know, Ben found the time. He traveled to New York this weekend to watch his lady perform at the Global Citizen festival, and then on Sunday, they headed out for a paparazzi photoshoot at Madison Square Park. I love this.
Ben Affleck is Jennifer Lopezs No. 1 fan! A source tells PEOPLE that the 49-year-old actor flew to New York City to meet up with Lopez, 52, ahead of her performance at Global Citizen Live on Saturday.
Jennifer and Ben were apart for a few days earlier this week. They met up in N.Y.C. yesterday, the insider says. Ben wanted to be by her side and attended the event. He watched her perform.
They are always supportive of each others careers, the source adds. Ben has to be in Texas to film this coming week.
Affleck had been in Austin for production on his latest project, but made a stop in Los Angeles to visit his kids before reaching his final destination in New York.

I?m a believer in Bennifer in the sense that I think they?re really a couple, there are real feelings involved, they adore each other (right now) and they?re enjoying the hell out of each other and how much attention they?re getting. At the moment, it?s a net positive: they help each other?s images and they?re getting fun attention. Will it turn dark? Will there be negativity later on? For sure. But for now, it?s just fun. All that being said, I would love the inside story on the choices they made in the past week. First, they went to Venice for 48 hours and walked their first red carpet together in 18 years. Then they flew to NYC, where Ben went with Jen to an event in the Bronx. Then the Met Gala on Monday night, where J.Lo walked the carpet solo and Ben seemingly snuck in through the backdoor and only posed with Jennifer once they were inside the event. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were basically in Venice for a whirlwind 48 hours. They arrived in Venice last Thursday, The Last Duel premiere was Friday night, and they left Venice by mid-day Saturday. They glowed the whole time, and they just seemed really happy together throughout. I think J.Lo even did some work in Venice separately she definitely did some kind of photoshoot, but no one knows for what. These photos are of Bennifer leaving Venice, and as they were heading to the airport, some fan accosted them or got way too close. Ben basically pushed him away:

Well, it happened. And it was glorious!! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez walked their first red carpet together since 2003. They arrived in Venice together last Thursday, and the premiere for The Last Duel was on Friday. What was nice about it is that Ben and J.Lo knew they were the main event and they weren?t shy about embracing it. Apparently, they arrived first on the red carpet, and they were both prepared for all of the walls of photographers greeting them. While J.Lo is an old pro at red carpets, it must have been different for her to be at the Venice Film Festival just as Ben?s plus-one. I?m not sure she even wanted to pose solo, and Ben certainly wanted her by his side the whole time.
For those wondering about the dress? J.Lo wore a gown from Georges Hobeika?s Fall 2021 Couture collection. The material is crepe satin and the ?diamond? detailing is Swarovski crystal. She wore Jimmy Choo shoes. She brought her whole glam squad and they?ve been styling her the whole time. I think she?s doing some kind of photoshoot in Venice too, I don?t know if the shoot is for a magazine editorial or maybe one of her advertising contracts?
Anyway, Bennifer. I love them. Celebrities are on-board the Bennifer Revival too. Gwyneth Paltrow left a comment ?okay this is cute? on an Instagram post of Ben and Jen kissing on the carpet. Kim Kardashian posted ?Long Live Bennifer? on her IG too. That?s what it feels like across the board: people are happy for them and happy that they found a way back to each other. Ben seems thinner, fitter, happier, looser and more comfortable in his own skin. J.Lo is completely glowing and they seem enamored with each other in a genuine way. I love this.
I could honestly watch videos of their interactions for hours. Once you see Ben in motion, I kind of think he took something to take the edge off a little bit? I?m not saying booze (he doesn?t seem drunk), but maybe a Xanax or perhaps an edible.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez arrived in Venice yesterday and the reaction was so positive. We didn?t know for sure if J.Lo was going to join Ben on his trip to the Venice Film Festival, so her presence was just such a happy surprise. Ben will attend the premiere of The Last Duel later today, and we?ll have the photos? at some point. I mean, it?s happening on a Friday. So just consider this a preview of coming attractions, and I?ll probably update this post with new photos when we get them ahead of the bigger fashion post on Sunday.
My guess is that Ben and J.Lo had some kind of date night in Venice last night, but there doesn?t seem to be any paparazzi photos of them that I?ve seen (and I looked). But Jen really brought her glam squad to Venice, because she tagged everyone in an Instagram posted last night. She got all dressed up and styled for? something. Probably a private, romantic dinner with Ben, maybe at the hotel. That would explain why there are no pap photos of J.Lo in this spectacular dress. Also, she captioned these photos on IG and Twitter: ?Back on the block.? Get it, because she?s Jenny From The Block. Yacht Butt-Rubbing Szn is still in full effect. Anyway, I?m giddy! Bennifer on the red carpet!!!
