Since the start of Bennifer 2.0 in the spring, I repeatedly said that I wanted them to last until the Met Gala, which is next Monday. But that was before Ben Affleck was scheduled to appear at the Venice Film Festival to premiere The Last Duel, with Matt Damon and Jodie Comer. Some of us theorized that Venice might be the site of Ben and J.Lo?s first red carpet appearance of their relationship revival. Back in the Bennifer 1.0 days, they walked tons of red carpets together, with Ben growing more and more orange and groomed with every carpet. Nowadays, it?s different. And yet still the same!!
Ben and J.Lo have just arrived, today, in Venice. The Last Duel is scheduled to premiere on Friday, which I think we can assume will be Bennifer?s First Red Carpet (in 2021). I like the pacing on this back together in April, vacations in the US and abroad, yacht butt-rubbing and now this, red carpet official. Ben seems very pleased about it too, that he?s got his girlfriend there to support HIS film. He looks like the cat who got the cream.
I can?t believe we?re truly getting Bennifer In Venice for their first red carpet. I?m so happy!!! And of course J.Lo is wearing white lace. How? bridal. Look at that diamond bracelet too! Is that the one Ben gave her years ago?

Over the weekend, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were seen boarding a plane in LA. Soon, we knew their destination: Venice, Italy. I actually had high hopes that they simply flew into Venice early ahead of the Venice Film Festival, which starts on September 1st. Ben is due to premiere his film The Last Duel, with Matt Damon and Jodie Comer, at the film festival. There?s even been some speculation that The Last Duel?s Venice premiere could be the red carpet couple-debut of Bennifer in 2021. ButHollywood Life mentioned that there is some mixed gossip about whether Ben even flew to Venice with Jennifer he possibly just dropped her off at the LAX. Hmm.
In any case, the official reason for J.Lo?s visit to Venice was to attend the three-day Dolce & Gabbana fashion show/event. She ended up giving D&G?s millions of dollars worth of free promotion as she posted tons of photos all dressed up in a D&G caped ensemble. Her official date for the event? Her manager Benny Medina. It will be interesting to see if J.Lo stays in Venice, right? What if we get Bennifer on a red carpet at this film festival? OMG.
Incidentally, it seems like Dolce & Gabbana?s many controversies have been completely forgiven and forgotten by Hollywood actresses and fashionistas. Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce have a long history of saying appalling sh-t about gay people, gay parents and in vitro fertilization. In 2018-19, the designers thought it would be funny to court the Asian market by creating a racist ad campaign with a Chinese model trying to eat Italian food with chopsticks. The designers doubled-down on their racism when Gabbano began going after critics online. These two men are utter douchebags, and it?s painful to see how easily everything was forgiven and forgotten by A-list celebrities. I tend to believe D&G convinced a lot of powerful stylists to dress their clients in D&G too. But in J.Lo?s case, she?s been friends with the designers for many years. Ugh.

Ben Affleck took his kids to Westfield Mall in Century City on Monday, which is where he was seen & photographed browsing engagement rings at Tiffany?s. As it turned out, Ben and his kids were just doing a scavenger hunt, but maybe that trip to a mall was exciting for Ben, and it reminded him of old times. On Tuesday, Ben took Jennifer Lopez to the same mall, Westfield Mall, and the paparazzi documented it, of course.
Personally, I love J.Lo?s shopping outfit. That skirt is so cute and it reminds me of Roland Mouret circa-2005. Everything about this relationship already feels retro and throwback, and you can really see J.Lo leaning into that early-aughts and mid-aughts fashion. Which, to be fair, is mostly her style anyway. She truly got all dressed up like this to go to the mall with her boyfriend. Did they eat at the Food Court? Did they browse at Victorias Secret? Did they check out the engagement rings at Tiffany?s? Well, according to Us Weekly, Ben and J.Lo really are talking about marriage:

?They are both madly in love and don?t want to let one another go this time,? the insider explains to Us, noting that the Argo producer, 49, considers the Hustlers actress, 52, the ?one that got away? and he is ?determined to make sure that doesn?t happen this time.?
This time around, the insider notes that Affleck and Lopez are ?considering eloping,? instead of having a ?big lavish wedding.?
For the New York native, her boyfriend has ?matured into the man of her dreams? and she would definitely say yes when the right time comes, the source adds.

I think that if they get married and it?s what they both want, they probably would do a small ceremony with just their kids, at a resort or something. It wouldn?t really be an elopement because, duh, their kids would want to be involved. I don?t think they would do a star-studded, lavish wedding it?s not Ben?s style and Jen would simply want to get him down the aisle this time around. But yeah. Party like it?s 2003. Alex Rodriguez has not been right since Jennifer Lopez dumped him in early spring. Honestly, he fked around and found out. He cheated on J.Lo and he wasn?t discreet about it and he embarrassed her publicly. Ben Affleck writing her a love letter while she was still very much engaged to Alex though? That will always be the most brilliant moment of serendipity. She dumped A-Rod and got back with Ben. A-Rod has spent months stalking her, renting yachts and beach houses to be close to her and trailing behind her even when she?s on vacation.
J.Lo has been done with A-Rod for a while. They tried the ?we?re still friends? thing for a few weeks after their breakup but Alex contacted her too much and she cut him off. The day before Ben?s birthday, J.Lo and her team wiped Alex?s presence from her social media, and she finally unfollowed him. The only thing left: J.Lo and A-Rod still had some business ventures together. And now she?s looking to get out of that sh-t too.
Cutting the cord. Jennifer Lopez is ready to sever all ties with her ex-fianc Alex Rodriguez as her romance with Ben Affleck heats up, a source reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.
?Jennifer is done dealing with Alex,? the insider says of the Hustlers star, 52. ?She?s washing her hands of him romantically and also as a business partner. Her management team and her lawyers will be talking to his [team] to tie up any loose ends.?

Last night, Ben Affleck had a single-parent?s date night. A date night with Jennifer Lopez and her daughter Emme. Judging from the photos from recent months, I think Emme is the kid who is giving this Bennifer thing a chance. Maybe Emme thought A-Rod sucked, maybe Emme is just an easy-going kid, but she seems to enjoy spending time with her mom?s new boyfriend. Ben seems sweet to Emme too, even in photos from the Hamptons and beyond, he talks to her a lot and seems especially protective of her. He?s got two daughters, he knows how to talk to girls.
So Ben, J.Lo and Emme went to Craig?s last night. There seemed to be some madness with the paparazzi as they were leaving, and J.Lo was the one who looked a bit stressed out about the flashes from what I imagine was a wall of photographers outside the restaurant. Emme seemed fine with it, and Ben seemed mostly concerned with Emme.
Can I just say? I love how Emme blows up her mom?s color wheel for this relationship. J.Lo had her outfit and Ben?s outfit all planned out on the brown-and-cream wheel and then Emme turns up in her flannel and blue hair and paint-splattered shorts. I love this for all of them.

So, here?s the timeline: July 22 or 23rd, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck fly out of LA and head to Nice/Monaco, where they immediately board the massive yacht they rented. They stayed in the South of France for several days, partying in Monte Carlo and St. Tropez, before sailing off to the Italian coast where they day-tripped in Capri. By last Friday, the birthday trip was over, at least for Ben. He flew out of Italy and went back to France, where Jennifer Garner had apparently dropped off Violet. Jennifer stayed behind in Portofino over the weekend with her friends and her glam squad, and she looked like she was shooting the sequel to Under the Tuscan Sun (photos at the end of the post). It?s the Capri part of the trip that people are talking about at the moment. Apparently, not only did Ben purchase a customized Foundrae necklace for Jen?s birthday. He also took Jennifer to a jewelry store in Capri, where they looked at some different pieces:
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez popped into a jewelry store during their romantic European getaway trying on some serious pieces but theres no ring in play, yet. The shopping trip went down last week at Faraone Mennella jewelry store in Capri, and a store spokesperson tells us J Lo tried on a number of expensive pieces, including necklaces and earrings.
Were told J Lo tried on a $41,000 green tourmaline necklace plus a series of colored hoop earrings ranging from $1,800 to $2,850.
One thing were told the couple did NOT check out, however, was a ring.
The spokesperson tells us Ben and J Lo took a series of photos together inside the jewelry store, where they were flirty and having fun, and J Lo also took a few selfies with the jewelry she tried on before leaving with their entourage. The couple didnt officially purchase anything, but the rep says most celebs call in later to have items shipped back home.

The fact that Ben is the kind of guy who loves to buy jewelry for his ladies is definitely a plus in my book. Sure, he?s an addict who sabotages himself and his relationships. But he?s not cheap and he?s actually quite romantic with the jewelry-buying. Their relationship does have a Taylor-Burton vibe, don?t @ me. Richard Burton loved to buy Elizabeth Taylor special jewelry pieces all the time. Not just massive Krupp diamond rings and the Taylor-Burton-Cartier diamond either he bought her smaller pieces up at auction, or little diamond rings for winning at ping-pong. Jennifer clearly kept all of his gifts from the before-time. I really need him to surprise her with that green tourmaline necklace. She can wear it to the Met Gala.

I will never understand why some of y?all insist on bringing such negative energy to the Bennifer Revival. At best, the Bennifer Revival is harmless, fun gossip. At worst, their kids are mad at their parents and it?s none of our damn business! Like, that?s it. It will likely end in tears and drama, but even then, that?s why we?re watching! I hope Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez beat all of the odds and they?re together for years and years. I want to see them at all of the Oscars from now on! I want them at the Met Gala every year! What?s kind of great about the revival is that, so far, Ben is playing along with her shtick. They?re getting tons of attention but it?s no longer about Gigli punchlines and matching orange fake-tans. And Ben wants to keep authentic:

The Bennifer Summer continues!! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are not merely content to recreate their most iconic moments Butt-Rubbing Szn 4 Eva they also want to create new memories, new iconic moments. A Bennifer World Tour. For three days, Ben and Jen were on the yacht in the South of France and partying in St. Tropez. Now the yacht has taken them to Capri, where they went sight-seeing, posed for photos and did some shopping. TMZ noted how they seemed to be hamming it up for the paparazzi:

TMZs obtained footage of the couple strolling through the quaint alleyways of Capri Tuesday where they seem to have landed after a pit stop in Saint-Tropez over the weekend. As you can see, they were hand-in-hand with their team fully surrounding them.
They didnt let that kill the mood though Bennifer went about their business, taking in the sights and leisurely enjoying the city.
Anyhoo eyewitnesses tell us it was quite the eventful day for them apparently, they stopped for a bite at a place called Ristorante Faraglioni but were told there didnt seem to be a whole lot of eating. Our sources on the ground say it was mostly them hamming it up for paps.
Were also told they popped into a jewelry store at one point but its unclear what, if anything, they bought. After that our sources say they hit up a vintage Chanel store. So, theyre definitely in vacation mode shopping, chillin and soaking in the atmosphere.

Back in 2016, Jennifer Lopez was with? someone, maybe Casper Smart? Probably. And she was promoting something, maybe her Vegas residency. And she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Of course Cohen made her play ?Plead the Fifth,? and of course his second question was about Ben Affleck?s dumb phoenix back tattoo. Jennifer didn?t hold back, telling Cohen: ?Its awful. I mean, I would tell him that, like what are you doing? It has too many colors. His tattoos always have too many colors! They shouldnt be so colorful, you know what I mean? This was just a funny little thing and one of the few times J.Lo ever said anything critical about Ben in seventeen years. And to be fair, the phoenix back tattoo IS hideous and ?too colorful? and not cool in the least. J.Lo said what everyone was thinking. But now, five years later, Jennifer has to look at that back tattoo whenever she?s showering on the yacht with Ben. Jennifer Lopez is opening up about her happy life now. In a PEOPLE exclusive preview of the stars chat with Apple Music 1s Ebro Darden about her new Rauw Alejandro collaboration Cambia El Paso airing at 4:30 p.m. EST on Monday, she said she recently realized that she was good on her own and that happiness starts within me.
Once I realized that, things [happened]. Things happen that you dont expect to ever happen. Once you get to the point where youre like, This is not right for me, or this doesnt feel good, or I need to make an adjustment here. This is not really about anybody else but me. Once you do that, stuff starts falling into place. She added: I think thats how you should process this moment that I feel again.
Lopez went on to say that her life typically bleeds into her art.
It always shows up in the music, she said. Sometimes you have to change direction, even though that might be painful or it might seem weird to other people. Its really just about who you are and what feels right to you, and thats what its about.
Earlier in the chat, Lopez admitted that trying to grow and evolve and become more fully myself and true to myself in the public eye over the past three decades has been a journey.
My mission has always been to kind of put love into the world, love and beauty and art, she said. And that has always been my thing, and music and movies and all the things and how it manifests itself. But at the end of the day I think when you do watch artists and youre lucky enough as I am to be able to continue to do what you love for so long, you watch a life. She?s saying that when she was Alex, she realized she would rather be alone than be unhappy with him for one more minute. That?s what all of this is about. That was a new experience for her, being so desperately unhappy in a relationship and genuinely wanting to be free, because usually she needs to be with someone no matter what. And so she?s saying that she wanted to be alone and then Ben came along and wanted to be with her again and that was the universe telling her that ?it?s okay to be alonebecause another dude is on the way.?
