Halle Berry has done a ton of work in recent years to rehabilitate her image after a nasty, years-long custodial and financial dispute with her ex, Gabriel Aubry. It?s still kind of wild to see Halle carrying on like normal, like nothing ever happened and everyone on her timeline yelling ?you go girl? at everything she says and does. It?s bizarre, because in 2012-14, all kinds of accusations were being thrown around like it was just another day. Even back in 2015, Halle was still instigating beefs with Aubry over the court-mandated (and repeatedly reaffirmed) child support payments Halle had to make to Aubry. She just couldn?t get over the fact that she had to pay child support to her ex, and she did everything she could to halt payments, to be a deadbeat, and to even yank the joint custody away from Aubry.
I guess people either forgot about all of that messiness or they just want to forget it. By the end of that years-long debacle, Halle had thrown so much mud, I?m sure people still think Gabriel did something wrong and that Halle was somehow the wronged party, always and forever, because that?s how she always leaves relationships. Anyway, Halle is getting attention this week because she seemingly made a reference to all of this.
Halle Berry is firing back at online trolls who targeted her and her love life. The 54-year-old Oscar winner shared a quote on Instagram Saturday that read, Women dont owe you s?, which received plenty of love from fellow A-listers such as Chrissy Teigen, Vivica A. Fox and Tia Mowry.
One online troll caught Berrys attention when they commented, With all of your accomplishments, fame, beauty, it seems, as if, you CANT keep a man, to which Berry replied with, Who said I wanted to keep them? Im all about living your best life, if you make a wrong move, course correct and re-spin and start again!
Another commenter wrote, Says the women who cant keep a man. Berry responded with, Who says I wanna keep the wrong man? cuz?..I dont.
[From People]
First of all, the Instagram post? it?s funny because the family court judge had to order Halle to pay child support like a million different times, because Halle DID owe a man some sh-t. So I feel like that was a pointed IG. But in general, yes, of course, women don?t owe men sh-t. And ?keeping a man? is such a stupid concept and most men are objectively terrible and all of that. That being said? I still wonder why things went so dead-quiet between Halle and Olivier Martinez. And I do wonder if Halle has just tried to not be so toxic in relationships now or something. Maybe.

When I recently wrote about Olivier Martinez, I was startled to realize that he?s A) still living in LA and B) still maintaining a somewhat friendly relationship with his ex-wife Halle Berry. They split in 2016, although there was some talk about them reconciling. It looks like they simply did the work to co-parent successfully though. They have 6-year-old Maceo together, and Halle is also mom to Nahla, who is 12 years old now. Since her split from Olivier, Halle has been single in the sense that she?s never seen with any dude and there hasn?t been any boyfriend rollout or anything. Halle recently chatted with Lena Waithe for an IG Live session, and Halle spoke about the joy of being single for a while:
Halle Berry is loving the single life. The actress, 53, appeared on an Instagram Live session with her friend Lena Waithe in which Waithe, 35, asked the Oscar winner if she had decided to stay single since her divorce from French actor Olivier Martinez in 2016.
?I?ve learned a lot being with my children. They are the best company for me right now, and when I divorced Maceo?s dad I?ve been pretty alone by myself going on three years now,? Berry told Waithe. ?Decidedly so, for sure. I have decided to take time. I?m very much a relationship-oriented person, I always want to be with someone. But I decided, no I?m going to slow my roll, I?m going to take a minute and I?m going to spent time with me. And it?s been so great that I think I might stay like this!?
When Waithe asked the John Wick: Chapter 3 actress if she knew she?d take a long period of time to be on her own, she said, ?I knew I was going to take at least a year, one full year. One year led to two years and two years is now leading to three years,? she said with a laugh. ?But I?m fine because I think the next relationship I have I think I will have a better chance of attracting and choosing what?s right for me because I?ve taken this time to think about what?s important to me. I no longer feel the need for a relationship so I don?t feel the need to rush or accept something that?s not totally right for me. Not that anything?s wrong with the people I?ve been with but I?m going to wait for my match or I will stay solo and be with my kids and do my life the way I?m doing it.?
Berry also had a piece of advice for Waithe and those who were watching.
?You know what I think the gift is, and this is something that comes with age, the gift of your own company,? Berry said. ?And you can start it by maybe taking a short trip, a weekend trip and seeing how that feels. I promise you, you will start to enjoy that time and being with yourself and your company being the most important company.?
[From People]
Speaking as someone who has always prioritized my alone-time, she?s right. Everybody?s different, obviously, and there are a lot of men and women who ?need? to be in relationships, who need to always be in a constant state of ?in love? or ?looking for love.? That?s how some people are built. And I think for Halle specifically, it was a combination of things. Yes, she truly had a bad picker, but she also seemed to need to make every split as hyper-dramatic as possible. In some ways, she broke that cycle with Olivier. So I?m glad she broke the cycle of ?needing to be in a relationship constantly? too.

Halle Berry was on Hot Ones, a YouTube Interview show where they feed celebrity guests increasingly hot Buffalo wings as they talk to them. Halle was down to eat the wings because it was her dinner. She eats keto but wings fit into that diet well. A lot of famous people have been on the show, which is hilarious yet difficult to watch because the celebrity usually gets sweaty and confused towards the end. Interviewer Sean Evans is used to and powers through but he gets uncomfortable too. I couldn?t do that! I would eat the wings up until about the middle of the heat range and then tap out. Evans asked her about the training she did for John Wick 3, and I especially like what she said about the dog training.
On her training for John Wick 3
It?s as real as you can get without hurting each other. The other [stunts] felt like baby games compared to this one. I never worked so hard. I broke three ribs. It was on another level. I learned so many things.
On if she took her dog training home to her labradoodles
Any dog can be trained. I taught my dogs to sit at attention by the front door and if I say ?take it,? they will take whoever is coming through the door. They?ll attack them.
Her advice to train dogs
You need some bitter apple to stop them from chewing and barking. All dog training has to be done with love. So it should be done gently and with love.
On if she?s addicted to the internet
It?s a problem. I don?t want to teach my kids that. It?s hard to say ?don?t spend mindless hours going down the rabbit hole.? Then my kids see me doing that.
On posting to Instagram
It?s my footprint for life it never goes away once it?s out there so I try to be thoughtful.
What?s the most savage thing you?ve seen another girl do done during your beauty pageant days?
In the Miss World Pageant a girl cut the heel off another girl?s shoe and she stuck it back on, the girl got about four steps and her heel fell off.
[From Hot Ones]
Halle said that she gets a lot of compliments for Baps, and she knows what that meant to people, and also that people tell her they liked her in Catwoman even though the movie sucked. She also was an early adopter of the Internet and they showed this cute picture of her with her early website, Hallewood. (Those photos are here.) She said it helped her connect with her fans in ways that weren?t possible before the Internet.
As for her advice on dogs, that?s cute that they train them with love. I remember reading all the work that went into it, and how they trained the dogs to see the attacking as play, which is not typically how it?s done on sets. It is of course so much more humane for the dogs, but takes so much more effort on the humans part. I also like how she trained her dogs to wait for her and to attack. I know that sounds harsh, but Sandra Bullock had a stalker break into her house. Im sure Halle has good security, but it cant hurt to have protective dogs too.
Also spoiler for this episode. Halle KILLED it, she ate all 10 increasingly hot wings until the end and they gave her a trophy for it. Her face was sweaty about halfway through. It was so cute. Heres that interview!

| Halle Berry worked out twice a day and became a dog trainer for John Wick 3 | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I saw John Wick: Chapter 3 ? Parabellum over the weekend, as did a lot of other people. It was the first movie to beat Avengers Endgame since it came out. Id only seen the second John Wick film prior, but you can pick up the back story in about five minutes. Theyre popcorn movies that can seem more like ultra violent video games, but somehow they work. The writing is fresh, funny and has heart and the action scenes are ridiculous and insane. Plus Keanu Reeves brings so much to that role, hes wonderful. Halle Berry is a natural fit in this one as his reluctant ally, a badass assassin with two loyal dogs. (I thought they were German Shepherds but the breed is called Belgian Malinois.)
The dogs also make this movie highly entertaining and watchable. So much went into training and working with those beautiful animals, you can read more about it here. A team of five dogs was trained to respond to the action playfully instead of attacking the stuntmen. Halle worked personally with the dogs for hours every day, playing with them and training them, so they would know her and respond to her commands. Along with that she worked out twice a day for an hour to an hour and a half and she had extensive firearms training! Heres a link to her training schedule as explained by her trainer and heres what she said about it:
?The training was like nothing I?ve ever experienced in my whole career ? and I?ve done a few action movies before?
?After I saw John Wick 2, I researched how they did this,? Berry said while promoting the film in New York City. ?So, I knew how hard it was. Just being in it was life changing. I don?t think I?ve ever worked harder or longer to prepare for a part in a movie.?
?I learned parts of jiu jitsu,? she said. ?I learned how to fire a gun. I had never worked with firearms really in that way before.?
?I became a dog trainer,? she continued. ?I don?t have a black belt or anything ? I didn?t get any belt from this training. But I will tell you this: if someone thought they were going to snatch my purse on the street, they better think again.?
[From People]
EW has quotes from director Chad Stahelski praising Halles dedication and commitment. She did most of her own stunts too. All the training she put into this shows as she embodies that role. Halle is 52, by the way. If you consider that Keanu Reeves is 54 theyre setting the bar quite high for the rest of us aging GenXers. Its not my job to be super fit and hot though, I just do that as a hobby. (No I dont, I had to throw out two pints of ice cream last night. I need to get my ass in gear.)

| Halle Berry: 'You?re so much more ready to be a parent after 40' | Added 5 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Halle Berry is promoting her current film, John Wick: Chapter 3 ? Parabellum, which honestly, looks right up her alley. During the world premiere for Wick 3, Halle was asked what it?s like to become a mom in her 40s. So Halle is playing one of the members of a highly-skilled assassin guild wrapped up in the pursuit of Wick, and someone thought they best question to ask her on the red carpet was, ?hey, how was it dusting off your uterus after 40?? But Halle gave a very nice answer, saying that because she knew herself so much better in her 40s, she was able to be a better mom than she would have been earlier.
Worth the wait! Halle Berry welcomed both daughter Nahla, 11, and son Maceo, 5, after turning 40 and raved about the experience.
?You?re so much more ready to be a parent after 40 than when you?re 20,? the actress, 52, told Us Weekly exclusively at the recent John Wick: Chapter 3 ? Parabellum world premiere. ?You know yourself better. You?ve done a lot of things for yourself, selfishly. When you wait later in life, you can really put your kids forward I think in a more meaningful way.?
Her advice for moms considering starting a family later in life? ?Do it,? she told Us. ?Just do it.?
[From Us]
I was in my mid-to-late 30s when I became a mom. I always thought I?d doing my kids a disservice because I just don?t have the flipping energy I did in my 20s. I thought if I?d been a 20-something mom, I would?ve made their world more fun because I was more fun. But what Halle said is very true for me as well. I can be stubborn now, but I was impossible in my 20s. Because I was insecure, I would double down on (mostly the wrong) stuff to make me seem right. I have more confidence now to listen to others, including my kids. Oddly, with age came flexibility.
Of course, none of this is to say that people who become moms early are at a disadvantage. Anyone can be a good parent at any age. But if Halle?s experience was anything like mine, a lot of people told her why is was a bad idea not to have kids past a certain age, and those reasons went far beyond just how hard it would be to conceive. So I like that Halle is out here telling women to go for it. It?s great to hear that motherhood has been so rewarding for her.

Halle Berry is so gorgeous she makes me want to give up sugar. I know shes on a keto diet by necessity as she has Type 1 diabetes, but if thats her secret (along with a ton of exercise, which frankly would be easier for me than cutting sugar) I will consider it. She was in Zuhair Murad, in a cranberry gown with a deep v neck and velvet stripes. I swear weve seen her in many variations of this dress over the years but my god does it work for her. Shes 52 years old and I should know this by now but I have to look it up every time because she looks like this. One complaint is that her fake ponytail is too long, but I did not notice that when she was on stage.
Halle presented along with Lena Waithe, who was also strikingly gorgeous on camera. Lena is usually cute and sporty looking but last night she just looked elegant. Its her new hair I think. This still photo doesnt do her justice.

| Halle Berry is going to make her directorial debut with an MMA drama | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Halle Berry has won an Oscar for a dramatic role in Monsters Ball, shes done the superhero thing with X-Men, she?s given comedy a go (although B*A*P*S wasn?t her finest moment by any stretch of the imagination), and shes been an action figure with roles in Kidnap and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. The 52-year-old actress is now going behind the camera to direct her first film.
Deadline reported on Wednesday that Halle is making her directorial debut with Bruised, a mixed martial arts action drama. In addition to taking the helm, she is also starring in the movie.
The plot follows Jackie ?Justice,? a disgraced MMA fighter who has failed at the one thing she?s ever been good at ? fighting. When 6-year-old Manny, the son she walked out on years ago, returns to her doorstep, Jackie has to conquer her own demons, face one of the fiercest rising stars of the MMA world, and ultimately fight to become the mother this kid deserves.
Halle is currently working on John Wick 3 with Keanu Reeves, who, if you believe the tabloids, may be trying to work on something else with her. I doubt that myself. The fight choreographers from this project will be working with Halle on Bruised.
I?m not really big on action movies, and I?m definitely not interested in MMA, but Halle works out like a maniac and incorporates boxing in her current workout regimen. If there?s anyone who could play a kick-ass mom, it?s her. But, Halle?s recent forays into the genre haven?t made much of an impact at the box office. I mean, did anyone see Kidnap? Hopefully, her work in John Wick 3 might get audiences psyched to see her in fighter mode.

I have never trained this hard before in my life, and I?ve become a better person for it challenges like this keep us youthful, energized, confident it helps us realize we can do more than we ever thought. Last week I mentioned that if you?re the most fit person in a room, then you?re in the wrong room; this film has introduced me to some of the most experienced athletes and stunt men / women I have ever worked with. Take today to consider people who take you out of your comfort zone, find something you feel you cannot do and create an opportunity for yourself to do it. | L&S: Halle Berry & Keanu Reeves have been quietly dating for a few months? | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Halle Berry signed on for John Wick 3 a few months back. Considering I haven?t seen all of John Wick or John Wick 2, I have nothing to say about the casting choices or the plot. I would assume that everyone knows what they?re doing and judging solely from these set photos, Halle seemed to get along very well with John Wick himself, Keanu Reeves. Halle and Keanu are close in age, in human years as opposed to whatever metric of time is used on the vampire planet they both come from. Keanu is 53 (and fine) and Halle is 51 (and fine). Can two fine-ass 50-somethings find love in all the wrong places?
Halle Berry has joined the cast of John Wick: Chapter 3, and Life & Style has learned she?s become much more than just Keanu Reeves? co-star.
?Halle and Keanu are dating,? an insider exclusively tells Life & Style. ?They started seeing each other even before they began filming. As soon as they started getting to know each other, they realized there was something there that was stronger than a friendship.? Their movie is filming in NYC, but they won?t be showing any PDA between takes. ?They want to keep their romance on the down-low for now,? the insider says to Life & Style. ?But it?s only a matter of time until they go public.?
After her 2016 divorce from Olivier Martinez, Halle, 51, dated 35-year-old music producer Alex Da Kid for five months. But with Keanu, 53, she?s found someone she thinks has long-term potential. ?Keanu is totally Halle?s type,? the insider says to Life & Style. ?She likes that he?s very mysterious, introspective and down-to-earth. He?s not about the whole Hollywood spotlight thing. She finds that very attractive ? and, of course, she thinks he?s super handsome.?
[From Life & Style]
Halle Berry might be the nicest, most humble person in real life, but I strongly believe she?s an absolute mess in romantic relationships. As soon as she falls in love, all bets are off, you know? So just based on that, I really hope Keanu and Halle are not happening. It?s my hope that Keanu does have love in his life, and that love is low-key and Zen. Now, all that being said? I wouldn?t be mad if Halle and Keanu had a no-strings-attached fling. That would be fun and age-appropriate.
