He’s been known to lose his temper from time to time, and last night (July 22) Jude Law was accused of hitting a female paparazzo.
It was a typical night for the “Alfie” star, as he greeted his fans following his “Hamlet” performance before attending a dinner hosted by director Christopher Nolan.
And when he emerged from the private party, there was a plethora of paparazzi waiting to snap up his pic. That’s when the alleged incident occurred.
Harsha Gopal, a 28-year-old female shutterbug, claims Law struck her in the head. She explained, “He hit me full in the face. It was a real stinger, it was very sore.”
But Jude’s law man tells a very different story. “This is all nonsense. Last night’s incident was an accident. Jude was blinded by the camera flashes when he left the restaurant, raised his hand to shield himself and inadvertently struck somebody standing very close. He apologised and left. Pictures of this sort can often be misleading.”

Harsha Gopal, a 28-year-old female photog, alleges Jude Law struck her on purpose while leaving Automat restaurant in London. She was one of many paparazzi outside the restaurant waiting to take pictures. Gopal says the attack was unprovoked and she’s considering pressing charges. ‘He hit me full on the face, it was a real stinger, it was very sore. It was really loud – there was a massive thud and my face is still stinging today. It was deliberate – you could see it in his face. Maybe he didn’t realise he was hitting a girl, but he could at least apologise.’
Jude’s lawyer said it was “nonsense.” He explained: ‘Last night’s incident was an accident. Jude was blinded by the camera flashes when he left the restaurant, raised his hand to shield himself and inadvertently struck somebody standing very close. He apologised and left.’
I have my doubts if he did it on purpose, but in Jude’s defense, he’s a big pussy and isn’t above slapping girls. He shouldn’t be when he hits with a limp wrist. It looked like Jude was beating her with a wet noodle. Even when his hand makes contact with her head, it looks like Jude is in excruciating pain. Being struck by Jude Law is equivalent to being hit with a puff of air.

| Jude Law wears a fancy vest, will return to Broadway in 'Hamlet' | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Imagine you?re Jude Law. Get off the nanny! No, seriously now. You?re Jude Law, and you want to take your youngest son Rudy to a London Starbucks. What do you put on? A t-shirt and some jeans, maybe? Or do you try too hard to look like you just pulled together some weird combination? Do you grab your fancy double-breasted grey vest and a pair of cargo shorts? If you were really in Jude Law?s head, you would always pick the fancy vest. In and of itself, the vest is funny, but I love that Jude is wearing nothing under or over the vest. How embarrassing is Jude for his kids? ?Da–aad! You can?t wear the vest with cargo shorts and flip-flops!?
Honestly though, Jude Law looks pretty hot in these pictures. I?m remembering my crush on him circa 2000. The vest distracts from his hairline, so now all I can see is his shockingly buff arms. Yeah, I?d still hit it. The nannies and the vests may come and go, but Jude is still pretty foxy.
In other Jude Law news, his London run of Hamlet is doing really, really well. Jude got some of the best critical acclaim of his career for his turn as the misanthropic Dane, and it was just announced today that the same Donmar Warehouse production of Hamlet - with Jude - will be coming to Broadway.
That collective ?oooh? you just heard from Broadway is the sound of theatergoers whose solid (or sullied) flesh has melted and resolved itself into a dew after learning that Jude Law is headed their way.
Mr. Law, the ?Cold Mountain? and ?Talented Mr. Ripley? star, will play the title character in a Broadway production of Shakespeare?s ?Hamlet? that is transferring from the Donmar warehouse in London.
In a news release Tuesday, publicists for the Broadway run of ?Hamlet? said that the play would be directed by the Donmar Warehouse?s artistic director, Michael Grandage (Broadway?s Frost/Nixon), and would run for twelve weeks at the Broadhurst Theater.
Previews are scheduled to begin on Sept. 12 and an official opening is slated for Oct. 6. Additional actors from the Donmar Theater company are expected to join the ?Hamlet? cast, and a production of the play is planned at Elsinore Castle in Denmark from Aug. 25 through 30.
[From The New York Times]
That?s actually very exciting - Broadway enthusiasts will correct me if I?m wrong, but I believe this will be Jude?s first Broadway show since his breakthrough performance in Indiscretions at the very start of his career. The bad news is that Hamlet will be coming to New York at exactly the same time as Sienna Miller?s turn in After Miss Julie. Could we be seeing yet another Jude and Sienna hook-up?

I’m sure you’ve heard the expression “wearing drunk goggles” before. Well, whatever Jude Law’s drinking must be the ocular equivalent of the fucking Hubble telescope, because those skanks are disgusting.

Back home in London tending to his fatherly duties, Jude Law was spotted taking his son 6-year-old Rudy to Primrose Hill for soccer practice on Tuesday (February 24).
The “Sherlock Holmes” hunk ended up heading out onto the field himself, kicking the soccer ball around for awhile before heading off to the sidelines.

Doesn?t it feel like Guy Ritchie, Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. have been filming that Sherlock Holmes movie forever? It?s like the never-ending film production. The latest gossip out of the production is that Jude Law is too tall compared to Robert Downey Jr. (what?). So director Guy Ritchie made Downey put on some kind shoe-lifts. Downey is the one playing Sherlock Holmes, and Law is playing Dr. Watson. What?s weird is that even in his best, sexiest roles (The Talented Mr. Ripley), Jude Law looks like a stiff wind could knock him over, he?s so small. So how big is Downey?
Filmmaker Guy Ritchie has given Robert Downey Jr. a boost!
The director has asked Downey Jr., who plays the iconic detective in the movie Sherlock Holmes, to wear a pair of four-inch platforms in his shoes - in a bid to raise him up to co-star Jude Law’s level, reports British newspaper The Sun.
Ritchie has ruled that the actor must wear the lifts in every scene he shares with Law, who plays Holmes’ sidekick Dr Watson - so that the sleuths are the same height.
A source tells the tabloid, “Rob is stumbling around a lot and cursing Guy over the silly shoes.”

| Robert Downey Jr. is a Men's Vogue cover boy | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Robert Downey Jr. is the cover boy for Men?s Vogue, Spring 2009. The issue will somehow be included or integrated into the April Vogue issue. Apparently, Conde Nast is trying something new because the launch of Men?s Vogue hasn?t been the success they were hoping for.
It?s a really beautiful picture of Downey - he looks good for his age and his history. People have started comparing him to George Clooney, but I?m not so sure. Clooney and Downey are very different men with very different appeals - but both can wear the hell out of a suit, so there?s that. Downey is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for his role in Tropic Thunder, and his turn in the massively successful Iron Man has put him back on the A-list.
Robert Downey Jr. has never looked hotter than on the cover of the upcoming Men?s Vogue. The magazine has gone from publishing ten times a year to doing two seasonal editions. The next issue, Spring 2009, will appear on the back of regular Vogue magazine in its April 2009 issue.
For the first time, Vogue will couple the male mag by binding it to the back as a reverse-bound issue having two covers. If you flip Vogue over, you get Men?s Vogue.
The future of Men?s Vogue is still up in the air. Publisher Conde? Nast indicates it is an experiment that may allow the male version to survive the chopping block and enjoy a second life.
Step aside George Clooney, you may have finally met your match.

In addition to Downey?s cover-boy status, Iron Man 2 already has some big casting news. Downey, of course, will return as Tony Stark. Gwyneth ?GOOP? Paltrow, too, is returning. But who will play the next villain? As SamHill mentioned yesterday, some say Mickey Rourke, some say Sam Rockwell.
Mickey Rourke, who earned numerous awards and nominations for his work in “The Wrestler,” is in talks to play a villain in “Iron Man 2.”
Variety.com said Rourke is up for the role of the Russian arms dealer, the Crimson Dynamo, in “IM2.”
Director Jon Favreau reportedly plans to begin shooting the sequel to the 2008 Marvel Entertainment blockbuster this spring. Paramount Pictures, which will distribute the movie, has scheduled it for release in the summer of 2010.
Robert Downey Jr. plays the title character in the “Iron Man” franchise and Variety.com said Sam Rockwell is in talks to play his as-yet-undisclosed nemesis in the second installment. Rockwell can now be seen in “Frost/Nixon.”
[From United Press International]
I don?t have anything against Mickey Rourke, but I absolutely adore Sam Rockwell. Even though Rockwell?s a great actor, I wonder if he can pull off a comic-style villain. Rourke might be better, simply because he already seems a little cartoon-y.
