When I first read this story at the New York Post, I misread it and thought it was a story about Jude Law moving into a freshman dorm at NYU. I thought to myself ?that?s strange? and ?New York real estate is crazy? and ?ten freshman girls will be pregnant by December?. But the actual story is about Jude moving into an apartment right next to a freshman dorm. Hm? why do I still think some freshman girls are going to get knocked up? Anyhoodle, Jude is living next to the dorm, and the kids are going crazy for him whenever they see him on his patio of working out or anything. They yell at him, and he throws oranges. Real mature!
When Jude Law moved in next door to an NYU freshman dorm, he didn’t realize he’d be giving away front-row seats to every performance — and he’s hardly pleased with his “audience.”
Star-struck students say they race to their dorm windows whenever the actor sets foot on his Washington Square balcony, as seen above in photos taken by one of the kids.
“There is pretty much chaos on every floor when he comes out,” said Priya Vij, 18, who has a direct view of Law’s balcony from her Hayden Hall window.
“People start screaming, ‘Hey, Jude’ — and it’s clear he can hear us.”
Erica Rose, 18, keeps a pair of binoculars at the ready.
“We have the best view on the floor,” she said. “It is exciting to have a celebrity living right next to you. He is really attractive. He’s rugged and scruffy.”
The star of Broadway’s “Hamlet,” who uses the balcony to play with his son and work out with his personal trainer, apparently does not appreciate the attention.
In Shakespeare’s day, audience members heckled actors by hurling rotten fruit. But a few weeks ago, when Law’s yoga session was interrupted, the fruit flew in the opposite direction.
“He noticed we were there and we started waving at him. Then he went inside and came back with two oranges,” freshman Neha Najeeb told The Post. “He threw them at our window, but he missed.” Law then went back inside and returned with two additional oranges, she said.
“This time, he hit the windows — there was orange pulp on the glass for a week — and then he went back to working out,” she said. “Now we don’t like Jude Law anymore.”
Law couldn’t be reached for comment.
Naheeb’s roommate, Kaitlin Coari, said Law should stick to throwing the slings and arrows of his “Hamlet” role instead of produce.
“We couldn’t believe it when the orange hit the window,” she said. “I’m supposed to go see ‘Hamlet’ with my sister this Saturday. It’s awkward — I should bring some oranges, I guess.”

I would feel for Jude, but I don?t. I kind of wonder if he likes the attention. It must be funny to hear catcalls from dozens of 18-year-old girls every time you scratch your ass on your patio. What?s with the throwing oranges thing? What would I do if my neighbor was catcalling and yelling at me? Well, I wouldn?t throw oranges. I?d be clever and load up one of those big water guns with something really gross and sticky yet viscous, like a mixture of syrup and soda, and Super-Soak all of the windows I could hit. And why not move as well? Maybe Jude didn?t want to bother, since his play only runs through next month.

According to OK! UK, Sienna Miller and Jude Law may be back on. This makes perfect sense to me, because they are both two of the most self-destructive, self-defeating, horny celebrities out there. Both of them will literally screw anyone who gives them the side-eye. Examples for Jude: Samantha Burke and any and all of the random chicas he?s bangin? while in New York. Examples for Sienna: Her entire dating history. Anyway, both Jude and Sienna are doing separate plays on Broadway, and they may already to be back together:
Jude Law and Sienna Miller could be set to rekindle their romance after meeting for a few dinner dates recently.
The pair - who dated after meeting on the set of Alfie in 2004 but split in 2006 following Jude?s affair with his children?s nanny - have had a series of secret meetings in New York, where they are both appearing on Broadway.
A source said: ?Sienna and Jude have met up a few times and got on really well.”
A spokesperson has confirmed that the pair have met up although did not comment on whether they are dating again.
The source added: ?Sienna had her heart broken by Jude, but she was young and it was the first time she?d fallen in love. What people don?t realise is that they always remained close, so who knows where this will lead to next.?

I don?t know what to think about this, really. On one hand, it could make sense. Sienna and Jude were on-again, off-again so many times that one more shot isn?t beyond the realm of possibility. On the other hand, both of them like their strange, you know? Jude has been seen in the company of random women while in New York, and Sienna is still slightly connected to Slinky Wizard and Balthazar Getty, sort of.
In other Jude Law news, I?m reading the full Hello! interview with Samantha Burke, and this chick is definitely crazy. In addition to the interview excerpts we got yesterday - all about how baby Sophia pouts just like her daddy - Samantha also talks about how she and Jude met:
Hello: How did you meet Jude?
SB: ?I was living in New York, trying to model, but as it?s so expensive I had to get other jobs. I was working in a gym in Jersey City and did some catering - just being in the city was amazing to me. I ran into Jude in a nightclub one night. I instantly knew who he was, but he seemed really funny; he was cracking jokes with people and he included me in that. The next thing I knew I was on the pavement outside, being twirled around - it was a lot of fun. Following that initial meeting, Jude and I went out several times. He was a lot of fun to be around, always making me laugh and smile.?
Hello: Had you seen many of his films, and would you have considered yourself a fan?
SB: ?I?d seen a few of his movies. He?s a great actor and very good looking - you could say that I was a fan. Surprisingly, I wasn?t nervous when I met him, though, he was just as normal as anybody. He was funny and very down to earth, which I wouldn?t have expected - it was like a breath of fresh air.?
Hello: Did Jude strike you as a family man when you knew him? Did he talk about his children much?
SB: ?He definitely came across as a family man. He told me that he?d been injured while filming, and he had two or three days off. He wanted to fly back to London, just for that short time, so he could be with his kids. I thought that was really amazing. He also had a picture of the three of them in his room, and they?re obviously very special to him.?
Hello: How long did your relationship last?
SB: ?A few weeks after Jude and I met, I was scheduled to move to Pittsburgh to help care for my grandmother. Around the same time, Jude was wrapping up his shoot in NY and I knew that he would be heading back to the UK. I knew that as we headed in separate directions our relationship would not continue. And I was okay with that. I was living in the moment and I really enjoyed all my time with Jude. I really have no regrets.?

So, the gist of the story is that Jude Law got his stalker pregnant. Too harsh? The interview goes on and on and Samantha keeps talking about her ?relationship? with Jude and how happy she was with the situation. I also think she got pregnant on purpose, but that?s just my theory. She ?fell in love? with Jude and decided she wanted him in her life permanently. When asked about her future relationship with Jude, she says she wants to ?have a friendship and be cordial. I want everything to be positive around Sophia? so hopefully, we can work things out.?
Samantha also says that she hopes Sophia is ?just as talented? as her father, so we can look forward to Sophia being a child actor any day now. Meanwhile, whenever Hello asks her questions like ?Has Jude seen pictures of Sophia?? the answer is always ?no?. They even asked if Jude or Sadie Frost sent Sophia any gifts. The answer was no. Samantha also ?doesn?t rule out? moving closer to Jude, whether that means London or New York, whatever. She has plans to continue stalking him. It?s almost enough to make feel a twinge of pity for Jude. But not really.

Former model Samantha Burke unveiled the five-week old results of her one-night stand with actor Jude Law in an exclusive interview with this week’s Hello! magazine. The Daily Mail says
Miss Burke, who reportedly earned $300,000 for the Hello! photoshoot, said: ‘I think [Jude will] fall in love with her when he sees her. She has his chin and nose, and she does a little pout that I notice that he’s done before.”
But Miss Burke [admitted that] he has not yet traveled to meet Sophia.
Asked if she had received any presents from Jude, who demanded a DNA test a few months ago, the former model [said], ‘No, nothing.’
Unless you count the genital herpes she got from him ten months ago, but I wouldn’t really call that a present per se. It’s not like you can return it at a department store. But fortunately, you can always re-gift it!

Yowza. Earlier today we told you about Jude Law?s baby-mama and her debut (and the debut of their daughter Sophia) on the cover of Britain?s Hello Magazine. When I did the first story, I hadn?t seen the cover shot of Samantha and Burke and Sophia yet. Now that I?m seeing it? well, regarding Samantha, I really don?t think this chick is 24 years old. Think about it - this is how she looks with magazine lighting magic. And she still looks like a 40-year-old chain smoker. As for the baby, she?s cute enough. She looks a little gassy. Do you think the Hello photographers could have waited a few minutes to let the poor baby have her bowel movement?
Samantha was reportedly paid $300,000 for the first pictures, and it looks like an extensive interview with Samantha was in the works too. Radar and other sources have excerpts from the interview, and let me just say this - I think this chick is crazy. I know, I know. She?s going through some stuff, she just had a baby, she?s worried about supporting herself (maybe), but Samantha comes across as very? clingy. But it?s something else, too, something more than clingy. Like, I get the feeling Samantha really thinks that once Jude sees her again and meets Sophia, he?s going to drop to one knee and propose. What is that called? Just ?crazy??
When asked whether Jude is going to eventually come down to Florida to meet Sophia, Samantha says, “There are no plans for it to happen at the moment, but I know he is busy. In her interview Burke reveals how she met Law at a nightclub in New York and that he had not sent any gifts since heir daughter was born.
But she did admit that she hopes the father-of-three, who will soon be seen in Guy Ritchie?s new film Sherlock Holmes alongside Robert Downey Jnr, will come and visit Sophia soon.
She added: ?I hope for him to be just as good a dad as he is to his three children by Sadie Frost.
?He?s a great father to his three kids. She is his daughter and I believe he?ll come through ? I mean once you see her face how can you deny it??
Law already has three children with former wife Rafferty, 13, Iris, 9, and Rudy, 7.

It looks like Samantha Burke, the mother of Jude Law’s baby girl Sophia, stands to hit pay dirt with her newborn’s photos.
According to a report, Miss Burke has sold the photographs of the 1-month-old to a British magazine to the tune of $300,000!
In addition, Samantha will be raking in the dough when the “Alfie” actor begins his child support payments, as her magazine payday doesn’t even come close to what Law brings in annually.
Attorney Raoul Felder told press, “Child support is fundamentally based on the proportion of the mother’s earnings to the father’s. He makes so much more than she does, that this really won’t affect it. The only court Burke loses in is the one of good taste. Law is about to get hit VERY hard, despite Burke’s latest move.”

For the most part, Jude Law?s turn as Hamlet on the London stage was full of praise. The critical and financial success of the London show was largely the reason why it was brought to Broadway. Now that Jude?s been in previews for a while, the formal reviews are in from the New York critics - and while there?s significant praise for Jude, there?s also some funny criticism. I think I laughed the hardest at the NYT?s Ben Brantley, who noted that Jude?s gestures were a bit? obvious. Like, sign language obvious.
To be, or not to be ? a hit on Broadway?
That is the question Wednesday morning as the reviews come in for Jude Law’s turn as Hamlet in the much-anticipated Broadway turn for the production, which originated in London to acclaim and opened at New York’s Broadhurst Theatre Tuesday night. Reaction is decidedly mixed.
“If Hamlet talks about his mind, you can bet that Mr. Law will point to his forehead; when he mentions the heavens, his arm shoots straight up; and when the guy says his gorge rises, rest assured that he clutches at his stomach. If every actor were like Mr. Law, signed performances for the hard of hearing would be unnecessary,” snipes Ben Brantley of The New York Times.
“If anything, Law starts out too overwrought, moaning and gnawing through the great soliloquies as if they were causing him intestinal distress,” Time Out New York’s David Cote notes. Others put in much kinder terms.
“His Hamlet is no brooding philosopher/prince; he’s an angry young man, a bundle of nerves forever threatening to explode,” raves USA Today’s Elysa Gardner , who considers Law’s soliloquies “both muscular and exquisitely lyrical.”
The traditionally acerbic John Simon of Bloomberg News, however, found nothing poetic about Law’s “flashy, frequently jocular and unsubtle” performance in a play “aimed at neophyte audiences lured to the play not only by the star but with the added promise of a thriller liberally sprinkled with yocks.”
Time Out New York, which generally lauded Law, was one of many that had a bone to pick with the supporting cast, finding Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ophelia ho-hum, and Geraldine James and Ian Drysdale’s Gertrude and Claudius an example of actors taking the phrase “the banality of evil” too literally.
Then thank God Jude’s pretty, all critics agreed. Noted The New York Times: “Mr. Law’s undeniable charisma and gender-crossing sex appeal may captivate Broadway theatergoers who wouldn’t normally attend productions of Shakespeare.”

So, most people like it. It will be a Broadway hit, and Jude Law will make some money to stock up for all of those child support payments he?s got to make. Speaking of, the British tabloids have been trying to act like Jude has refused to see his daughter with one-night-stand/baby-mama Samantha Burke because he?s still unsure of the paternity. Some American sources tried to play that game too, but I feel pretty confident that Jude and Samantha found out the paternity in utero, and that?s why he released the statement about it when Samantha was seven months pregnant. I really think Jude hasn?t flown down to meet his daughter yet simply because he cares more about gesticulating on stage.

Celebrating a successful opening night, Jude Law was spotted arriving at the “Hamlet” after party at Gotham Hall last night (October 6).
The “I Heart Huckabees” hunk looked to be in good spirits as he smiled for the paparazzi, sporting a grey suit with black shoes.
Jude is starring in a 3-month run of the Shakespearean classic at the Broadhurst Theater in the Broadway Theatre district in New York City.
And there were plenty of celebrities at the opening night, including Natalie Portman, Ed Westwick and Sam Mendes.

Taking a break from his usual UK stomping grounds, Jude Law was spotted in Manhattan’s Lower East Side yesterday afternoon (September 20).
The “I Heart Huckabees” actor looked a bit lonely as he read the New York Times while waiting for some friends outside a local movie theater.
At one point a young lady approached the “Hamlet” hunk and appeared to be chatting him up, but Jude dismissed her with barely a look.
Perhaps Mr. Law has learned his lesson about casual flings after finding out he knocked up Samantha Burke, the result of a recent random hook-up.

Making a trip over the pond, Jude Law was spotted catching a flight yesterday (September 7) from Heathrow International Airport to New York City.
The “Alfie” hottie looked nice, but a tad out of it as he walked through the crowds of people waiting to catch their flights. Mr Law is coming to the states to perform “Hamlet” on Broadway.
In other news, Mr Law’s soon-to-be baby mama, Samantha Burke, has started to blog about her pregnancy.
The most recent post reads, “Only a month to go until I welcome Sophia into this world. I’m excited, of course, but a little anxious too. There is still so much to do to get ready. We?ve all suspected that Jude Law?s baby-mama Samantha Burke was using her tenuous connection to Jude to launch her own modeling-acting career. Why would she hold a press conference to ask for her privacy? Why would she set up a blog to document her pregnancy and encourage people to hire her for work? Why would she take bikini-clad pictures of her pregnant self and send them out (allegedly)? Now it seems that even Samantha?s friends think she?s something of a famewhore. A source told E! News that Jude ?didn?t even remember? Samantha and their week of sex, and that they consider it ?crazy? for Samantha to go through with the pregnancy:
It’s hard being a young twentysomething lady who loves famous people. If everyone isn’t calling you a fame whore, then you’re just trying to get whatever famous person responsible for knocking you up to remember you.
Ugh, it’ll be OK; just take underwear pictures and post them online. And if that doesn’t work, have a close friend do the talking for you. This is how the story of Jude Law’s baby mama Samantha Burke is going, anyway.
A close friend of Samantha’s steps up and tells E! exclusive details of the brief relationship between the Sherlock Holmes actor and the aspiring model. It all started once upon a time in a club: “She met him at a club in New York,” says the friend. “He was sick, so she kept going to his hotel over the course of a week to take care of him.”
And then poor, sick Jude didn’t remember her after she did everything she could (even a steady dose of sex, obvi) to nurse him back to health: “Jude didn’t even remember her. She hasn’t seen him since New York. They’ve only been in contact through their lawyers.”
Now, this friend thinks Samantha is “crazy” for going through with the pregnancy, so one has to question her financial motivations. Good thing the seven-months-pregnant mom-to-be already cleared that up in a recent blog post: “I can’t tell you how far from a gold-digger I am. I’ve never dated a rich man in my life. I’ve always wondered how girl friends of mine could even ask their boyfriends to buy them clothes.”
Still, her friend had to point out that Samantha comes from “a very white trashy town” in Pensacola, Fla., and “her family doesn’t have any money.” Just in case that means anything?

I completely believe that Jude probably had a hard time remembering her. From what I assume about Jude?s love life (the romancing of nannies, waitresses, Sienna Miller, et cetera), I don?t really think Jude is that choosey. I?ve said it before, but Jude does seem to have a very self-destructive streak - but at least he tries to make it right, to a certain extent. I kind of feel for him. Wait? no I don?t. He should have ?remembered? to wear a condom.
