Krista Allen is either genuinely in love with George Clooney or the dimmest bulb on the Christmas tree of women Clooney has dated over the years.
Krista and George apparently reconciled (again) last year after Clooney?s breakup with Sarah Larson, but the National Enquirer reports Krista dumped him (again) because, although he?s been sending her hot text messages, she actually hasn?t seen George since November, and even then they didn?t go out.
On Nov. 11, the 47-year-old actor was in Los Angeles to make his latest film and dined with pals in West Hollywood. Then for his nightcap, he went to Krista?s place in Beverly Hills, where he stayed the night, said the insider?. ?Krista was furious and raged, ?What am I — just his friend with benefits???
[From National Enquirer, print edition, February 2, 2009]
George also reportedly broke a promise to spend time with Krista and her son at Christmas, then spent New Year?s in Mexico without her.
Krista grew angry after seeing George with swimsuit model Estefania Kuester at a charity event in December and is jealous over George?s relationship with Lost star Rebecca Mader, Clooney?s leading lady in the upcoming film Men Who Stare at Goats.
I can?t imagine the Paris Hilton hook-up rumors helped either.
It?s possible Krista may just enjoy the fame of being linked to Hollywood?s modern-day equivalent of Cary Grant, but the Enquirer says she?s really heartbroken.
Concluded the insider: ?George was the love of Krista?s life. She was hoping to walk down the aisle with him — but now she?s given up all hope.?
[From National Enquirer, print edition, February 2, 2009]
It doesn?t appear George is overly upset about being dumped. He will probably spend the rest of his life a happy bachelor, but Krista shouldn?t give up all hope. Even Warren Beatty was eventually brought to heel.

You can’t deny that George Clooney adores - nay, worships - his father. Nick Clooney is a former Ohio television journalist and current TCM host/film archivist/activist. Nick is part of the Reel Journalism program, which aims to expose students and regular people to the myriad ways journalism and journalists are shown on film. Of course, George Clooney?s Good Night and Good Luck was an obvious choice, and George joined his father on the stage to introduce the film.
As People reports, the two engaged in some witty banter, some of which is lost on me. George keeps on making jokes about how he?s looking for a new daddy. At least, I think that?s the gist of it. You decide:
George Clooney has made an offer few can refuse: He has placed himself up for adoption.
“I always wanted to be adopted, but I couldn’t find anyone,” said the star, speaking at a Newseum event in Washington, D.C., with his father, former Ohio news anchor Nick Clooney, and veteran journalist Bill Small on either side of him.
“Will you adopt me?” George said to Small. “I’m very wealthy. I’ll take care of you.”
Talk of adoption started after Nick Clooney’s observation that his son’s 2005 film, Good Night, and Good Luck, about iconic CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow, is now being shown in journalism schools across the country.
“This film has legs,” said the elder Clooney, who then asked his son for his opinion.
“I don’t care for that,” said the jocular George ? prompting Nick to respond: “I never cared for this kid ? his sister’s great.”
Walking off stage before the screening of Good Night, and Good Luck ? as part of his father’s Reel Journalism film program ? Clooney, 47, then quipped that his father, 75, was an old man who needed a walker.
“You aren’t my walker,” Nick Clooney shot back. “But you are my retirement plan.”
From the wings: “I was,” George said. “I was.”
After the movie, the Regis and Kelly-like banter continued. When George said that they made the movie for $6.5 million, his dad asked where the money goes. “Right to me,” George said. “We shoot for $500,000, then I take $6 million …”
Nick Clooney then asked where that money goes. “To my new dad,” George said. But Small turned down George’s invitation. “I was hoping [billionaire entrepreneur] Mark Cuban would make an offer,” Small said.
Looking stunned, George said, “Wow. I got a dump like that.”
From People magazine
What?s that again? Is that last one an insult to Mark Cuban or to his father? I couldn?t tell. But this sounds like a really good program, there are lots of great films associated with journalism and journalists, and Good Night and Good Luck is one of them. However, whenever I hear the title, I always think of Jon Stewart?s joke about it at the Oscars: ?Good Night and Good Luck isn?t just a movie, it?s how George Clooney ends every date.?

Big news today for “E.R.” fans — George Clooney will be returning for the show’s big finale. According to People Magazine
Sources [say] that ER co-creator John Wells has ordered a closed set to keep Clooney?s appearance under wraps. It?s not known how many episodes will feature Clooney as the show films its final season.
I was so excited when I heard this. Finally, an actor worthy enough to wear the bejeweled belt of Beloth the Wise! Someone with enough emotional depth to play Murtagh, son of Morzan, last of the Forsworn! You know, because the first movie sucked so hard. But then my mom told me that “E.R.” stood for “Emergency Room,” not for “Eragon Returns,” and that I should get a job and get off the goddamn computer already. She may have bested me this time, but she will never learn my true name in the ancient language and be able to control my life! Victory is mine!

There’s been a lot of speculation over whether George Clooney will reprise his career-making role in ER in a cameo for the long running series finale. Clooney’s rep earlier denied any knowledge of a planned cameo, but now it’s been sort-of confirmed through maybe-reliable sources that rebellious Dr. Doug Ross will come back to help say goodbye to the show that we thought would remain on creaky life support forever.
Sources confirm to Entertainment Tonight the future of George Clooney’s role on “ER.”
Sources confirm to Entertainment Tonight that George Clooney will be filming scenes for an appearance on “ER” this week.
Clooney rose to fame as Dr. Doug Ross on the show, which premiered in 1994, and last appeared uncredited in 2000.
The final episode of “ER” will air Thursday night, April 2 now that NBC has extended the season’s run by three extra episodes. A one-hour clip show retrospective will run just before the final episode airs.
[From ETOnline]
Leave it to network television to drag out a 15 year-old prime time show just a little bit longer for those last three totally unnecessary episodes.
It’s good of Clooney to make an appearance, as he definitely doesn’t need the exposure. The same can’t be said of his former co-star and on-screen love interest, Juliana Marguiles, who doesn’t have a lot of offers coming in, but has refused to come back to the show, claiming she left her character “in the best scenario possible.” We don’t know how she ended things with producers and maybe there’s some bad blood there or she just doesn’t want to revisit the past.
This show jumped the shark about seven years ago around the time that Dr. Green died and producers took it in a new melodramatic direction with unbelievable plot lines, swelling music, and close up shots to hammer in the over-the-top drama. Clooney is being gracious and helping the show make a long overdue exit, although most of his fans stopped watching it years ago. ER was among the top five most watched shows in America from 1994 until 2002. It steadily fell in the ratings after Anthony Edwards left, and was ranked 54th last year. Clooney had the sense to leave in 1999 before the decline. It’s nice to see that he’s not above helping put ER out of its misery.

Ellen DeGeneres is finally getting her wish! After months of lobbying, George Clooney has agreed to appear on Ellen?s show. To get him on, Ellen parlayed several of her guests into helping her get Clooney on the show. Brad Pitt even suggested that Ellen hire Chippendale dancers to lure Clooney. After all of that, George finally agreed, and even complained that people were coming up to him, asking why he hadn?t gone on Ellen?s show. What?s still up in the air is whether Clooney will appear on one of the final episodes of ER.
All season long, since moving into new headquarters on the Warner Bros. lot, Ellen DeGeneres has had one goal in mind: get George Clooney on the show. She even enlisted the aid of Brad Pitt ? which didn?t help much.
Finally, with her New Year’s motto “George is Mine in ‘09,” the talk-show host got what she was after, with Clooney’s appearance set to air Monday.
“Have people been informing you every step of the way of what we’ve done [to get you here]?” the ever-demure DeGeneres asks Clooney.
“Informing me is not really what I would call what my office has been doing. Ah, complaining,” he replies. “They were a little concerned when that marching band came in. ? The trombone player hurt someone, as always.”
Apparently what did do the trick in leading Clooney to the studio door was DeGeneres’s decision to follow the advice of the leading man’s former ER costar Noah Wyle ? who advised her to also invite former Cincinnati Reds, Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan, on the show.
Though that, possibly, wasn’t the only reason.
Says Clooney: “People do come up to me all the time and say, ‘What’s wrong with you, man? Why don’t you go on Ellen’s show?’ [And] I say I haven’t been in town, which I haven’t been in town for a long time. I haven’t really ?” He then dissolves into laughter.
Besides doing The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Clooney may do a parting shot as Dr. Doug Ross during the 15th and final season of ER, according to the show’s executive producer John Wells.
Speaking to reporters Thursday at a Television Critics Association panel, Wells said, “George is very busy [but] we’ve talked about it a couple times.” Reps for Clooney have not confirmed the appearance.
From People
Why is Clooney still playing hard to get with ER? He made a special cameo several years ago, but that was really hush-hush. So there?s a possibility that Clooney has had already decided to come back, and the producers want to surprise people. As far as going on Ellen?s show, that?s just good business, and Ellen had drawn out the joke long enough.

| George Clooney in Washington, but not for inauguration | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

All of the Democratic Party?s celebrity A-listers are getting so excited about Barack Obama?s inauguration next Tuesday. Many are making plans to trek to Washington and party with the politicos. But few have the dedication of George Clooney, who flew into Washington yesterday, a full week ahead of the inauguration.
George Clooney is so excited about Barack Obama’s inauguration that he has touched down in Washington D.C a full week ahead of the ceremony to mark the start of the new President’s term of office.
The Oceans Eleven star looked thrilled to be in the capital as he beamed for the cameras at the airport yesterday and signed autographs before getting a police escort to his car.
The actor is scheduled to appear at the Newseum - where the inauguration will be held next Tuesday - on January 26, so it looks like George will be in Washington for almost two weeks!
We hope Mr Clooney smartens up his appearance by then - he turned up wearing a very old-looking pair of filthy boots.
From entertainmentwise.com
As it turns out, Clooney will not be staying on for the inauguration. He was only in town for a day to celebrate his father’s birthday. However, many stars will be showing up, which brings to mind several Hollywood-Washington problems. It was recently pointed out that Clooney, Halle Berry, Matt Damon and other Democratic Party celebrity loyalists made a concerted effort this election cycle to stay out of the political news, and stay away from the election drama. During the campaign, Obama made several trips to Los Angeles, nearly all of them for quiet fundraisers jam-packed with celebrities. However, many of these same celebrities will be coming to the inauguration, and a lot can happen in four years. Perhaps when Obama runs again in 2012, there will be more stories about Obama?s apparent closeness to Hollywood. It could be argued (and I tend to agree) that Obama?s now a bigger star than any actor.

He’s no stranger to airports, and earlier today George Clooney was spotted making his way through the terminal at the Washington DC airport following a brief visit to the city.
The “Oceans Thirteen” stud looked a bit bleary-eyed as he arrived for the early morning departing flight, sporting a black jacket, grey t-shirt, and blue jeans.

| Robert Downey Jr. is a Men's Vogue cover boy | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Robert Downey Jr. is the cover boy for Men?s Vogue, Spring 2009. The issue will somehow be included or integrated into the April Vogue issue. Apparently, Conde Nast is trying something new because the launch of Men?s Vogue hasn?t been the success they were hoping for.
It?s a really beautiful picture of Downey - he looks good for his age and his history. People have started comparing him to George Clooney, but I?m not so sure. Clooney and Downey are very different men with very different appeals - but both can wear the hell out of a suit, so there?s that. Downey is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe for his role in Tropic Thunder, and his turn in the massively successful Iron Man has put him back on the A-list.
Robert Downey Jr. has never looked hotter than on the cover of the upcoming Men?s Vogue. The magazine has gone from publishing ten times a year to doing two seasonal editions. The next issue, Spring 2009, will appear on the back of regular Vogue magazine in its April 2009 issue.
For the first time, Vogue will couple the male mag by binding it to the back as a reverse-bound issue having two covers. If you flip Vogue over, you get Men?s Vogue.
The future of Men?s Vogue is still up in the air. Publisher Conde? Nast indicates it is an experiment that may allow the male version to survive the chopping block and enjoy a second life.
Step aside George Clooney, you may have finally met your match.
[From Bitten and Bound]
In addition to Downey?s cover-boy status, Iron Man 2 already has some big casting news. Downey, of course, will return as Tony Stark. Gwyneth ?GOOP? Paltrow, too, is returning. But who will play the next villain? As SamHill mentioned yesterday, some say Mickey Rourke, some say Sam Rockwell.
Mickey Rourke, who earned numerous awards and nominations for his work in “The Wrestler,” is in talks to play a villain in “Iron Man 2.”
Variety.com said Rourke is up for the role of the Russian arms dealer, the Crimson Dynamo, in “IM2.”
Director Jon Favreau reportedly plans to begin shooting the sequel to the 2008 Marvel Entertainment blockbuster this spring. Paramount Pictures, which will distribute the movie, has scheduled it for release in the summer of 2010.
Robert Downey Jr. plays the title character in the “Iron Man” franchise and Variety.com said Sam Rockwell is in talks to play his as-yet-undisclosed nemesis in the second installment. Rockwell can now be seen in “Frost/Nixon.”
[From United Press International]
I don?t have anything against Mickey Rourke, but I absolutely adore Sam Rockwell. Even though Rockwell?s a great actor, I wonder if he can pull off a comic-style villain. Rourke might be better, simply because he already seems a little cartoon-y.
