According to the National Enquirer, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially splitting up:
Brad and Angelina are going their separate ways with the hope of reuniting in the future if they can repair their volatile relationship, disclosed an insider.
“They will make it official. It looks like Brad will be shooting two movies in California and in the Amazon, while Angelina is retreating to their French chateau with the rest of the family.
“It’s an official split.”
If the strong-willed couple can’t find a way to get back together, sources say the breakup could turn into an ugly court battle over their $200 million fortune and the custody of their six children.
The deciding moment for the pair came when they had strained words with each other while in Cannes, France, for the screening of Brad’s new movie Inglourious Basterds.
They put on a romantic show in front of the media, but Angie, 34, and Brad, 45, become frosty as soon as the spotlight was off, say friends.
A jealous Angelina was said to be incensed over the attention Brad was getting from other women, having argued recently over Brad’s continued contact with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
“Brad and Angelina will make appearances together from time to time, and he’ll meet up with the kids when he can. But make no mistake, this is a major split,” disclosed the insider.
It is, of course, theoretically possible that this is true, but there are a few things you should keep in mind here. First, magazines like the Enquirer have been declaring Brad & Angelina broken up and/or engaged every few days for the past five years. Second, it’s been an incredibly slow few weeks in celebrity news, and the Enquirer’s general philosophy is that when there’s no real news, they just write their own.
So sure, maybe Brad and Angie are splitting up. They also might be looking into purchasing the country of Panama to turn it into an adventureland for their kids, or they could be considering making themselves a sovereign nation and declaring war on Belgium. Anything’s possible.

Just a week after declaring that Brad and Angelina were back in love, the National Enquirer is declaring an end to Brangelina. According to their sources, it is an ?official split? and a ?major split?. Brad will be shooting three films back-to-back in California and South America while Angelina takes the kids to the French chateau for an extended holiday after she completes Salt. They are ?going their separate ways with the hope of reuniting in the future if they can repair their volatile relationship.? This seems based on the story we did yesterday, about Brad being in Los Angeles for a few weeks without Angelina. We?ve yet to get any kind of confirmation on Angelina?s plans after she finishes Salt. She could be going to France, she could be headed to LA, who knows.
The most disturbing part of this report (in my mind) is the nonchalance with which they portray Brad?s relationship post-split with his six kids - the Enquirer writes that ?he’ll meet up with the kids when he can.? So I guess Angelina has full custody, according to the Enquirer?s writers.

The National Enquirer has literally gone from rosy stories about how Brad and Angelina were so in love while in Cannes, to a week later and there?s a major split. Did they get it wrong then or now? My guess is a little of both. Brad and Angelina are probably still together, but of course, they have issues. They probably both have moments where they want to kill each other. In my mind, Angelina spent a lot of time looking at Brad?s horrible mustache and thought to herself ?I wish I could bash his head in with a wine bottle.? Yesterday, a lot of commenters pointed out that a couple can spend a few days or a few weeks apart without the world ending. So what?s really happening in Brangelina-ville?

Brad Pitt?s Inglourious Basterd costar Eli Roth is revealing some details about Brad Pitt?s personal hygiene. Roth, whose most famous work is as the director of Cabin Fever and the two Hostel films, tells People Magazine that Brad advised him (Roth) to use baby wipes when a shower isn?t in the cards. Pitt?s quickie-shower involves the application of baby wipes to the armpits - but not other parts of body, which doesn?t really seem like much of a quickie clean-up to me. The funniest part is when Roth describes Brad?s showering dilemma, and claims that Brad told him ?Man, I’m getting pissed on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.? Good lord, Brad. While filming Quentin Tarantino’s movie about World War II, Inglourious Basterds, superdad Brad Pitt offered up some unconventional hygiene tips for his sometimes smelly costars.
“He shared that when you’re sweating and don’t have time to take a shower, you just take a baby wipe and rub it under your armpits,” Pitt’s costar and pal Eli Roth told PEOPLE at Saturday’s Spike TV Guys Choice 2009 in Los Angeles, set to air on the cable network June 21 at 10 p.m.
“After a scene, Brad had to get next to me for a close-up shot, and he said, ‘Damn, you’re ripe,’ ” recalls Roth, 37. “I said, ‘I didn?t have time to shower.’ He said, ‘Baby wipes, man, baby wipes.’ ”
When it came to Pitt’s pits, Roth said the leading man explained, “I got six kids. All you’ve got to do is just take them, a couple quick wipes under the pits.” Pitt further said, “Man, I’m getting pissed on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.”
“I thought that was the greatest tip,” says Roth, who took the advice to heart. “My character is called the Bear Jew. If I ever started to smell like a bear, I would just use a couple baby wipes under the armpits, and it made it safe for everyone else to act around me.”
Roth, Pitt and company recently returned from the Cannes Film Festival, where they promoted their movie, which hits U.S. theaters in August. While in France, Roth was seen partying with Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Jolie, Roth says, “is awesome, totally cool,” just like Pitt.
“He’s such a funny guy. He has a great sense of humor, and he’s so into it. He’s really there to have a great time. Now, he’s at the point in his career where he’s the biggest movie star in the world, he can do whatever he wants, so when he’s there, he just wants to have a great time.”
Roth ? who’s built his own cult following as the director of such horror flicks as Hostel and Cabin Fever ? is also quick to say Pitt was very generous with his time.
“I remember the first day, he taught me a lot of acting tricks,” Roth says. “We all wanted to ask him about Kalifornia, Fight Club and True Romance, and he was so cool to talk about all that stuff with us. Right from the first day, we were all a little shy. But then somebody asked him about 12 Monkeys, and he talked about everything.”

A lot of people are already making the connection between Brad ?Baby Wipe Your Pits? Pitt and Terrence ?Baby Wipe Your Privates? Howard. In a now infamous interview in Elle Magazine (link from Jezebel) in 2007, Terrence said ?Toilet paper - and no baby wipes - in the bathroom. If they’re using dry paper, they aren’t washing all of themselves. It’s just unclean. So if I go in a woman’s house and see the toilet paper there, I’ll explain this. And if she doesn’t make the adjustment to baby wipes, I’ll know she’s not completely clean.” So between Brad and Terrence, you?ve got a pretty decent baby-wipe shower. But after all of that, maybe it would just be easier to take an actual shower? And learn how to put a diaper on the babies so they aren?t peeing on you.

Eli Roth let People in on a little secret about how his Inglourious Basterds co-star Brad Pitt keeps his pits smelling so glourious!

I can't believe that Brad Pitt told Eli that he was ripe. I could never tell someone that, could you? But hey he is Brad Pitt, he can do whatever he wants! Including letting people know his secret to armpit freshness. Now I want to know if Eli walks around with baby wipes all the time, unlike Brad he doesn't have any kids which could def be a fun conversation item if you see him with a pocket full of baby wipes.
BTW besides letting people know about Brad's baby fresh scent, he also told People what it was like acting with him and hanging with Angelina Jolie at a Cannes after party. Did you guys see that In Touch magazine this week they called him "The Other Man" that she was talking to at that party? Too funny. Wonder if he used the baby wipes before he sat down on that couch with her?
UPDATE: That picture of Brad Pitt and Eli Roth was the exact moment that he was talking about in the interview. I just spoke with Eli Roth and he said, that they only got through that closeup because of the baby wipes. He said that he felt bad about smelling like The Bear Jew that he plays, but he had spent all day beating a Nazi to death with a baseball bat and didn't have time to shower. He explained that he doesn't always have time to shower whenever he gets sweaty while filming, but he always time to use a baby wipe and make things as painless as possible for his co-stars.
I am thankful for baby wipes because that picture is beyond awesome, and it is shame to think it almost didn't happen.

During last week?s analysis (or over-analysis) of Brad and Angelina?s epic Cannes trip, the Enquirer mentioned that Brad would be starting work on the film Moneyball at some point over the summer. Now Life & Style is confirming - Brad Pitt will be headed to Oakland, California very, very soon (like, a week, maybe?) to work on the film that is based on the true story of Billy Beane and his magical draft system. Did that make any sense? I don?t know anything about the football (?), I?m only aware that words like ?draft? and ?magic? apply.
But Angelina isn?t coming! Yet. She still has to finish getting the crap beaten out of her on the New York production of Salt. They?ve been filming for about three months, and I?ve got to think they probably only have a few more weeks to go. So Brangelina is splitting up! For a few weeks, at least:
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been everywhere from California to New York and France in the past month, but Brad’s next movie will keep him at home in LA!
Brad will begin shooting Moneyball in California in June, Steve Elzer, a representative for the movie, confirms to Life & Style. Meanwhile, Angelina is still filming Salt in New York.
Moneyball centers on the major-league’s Oakland A’s and their general manager Billy Beane (played by Brad) who attempts to draft players to the team using computer-generated analysis.

Here?s the thing - in the report from last week?s Enquirer, Angelina maybe wanted to spend the summer in France, in the chateau that they?re renting. The Enquirer wrote, ?She plans to take the six children to their Chateau Miraval, near Nice, for a long break.? Trouble? Maybe, maybe not. I can?t see Angelina being that thrilled about having to spend the summer in California, but she probably will do it. Maybe she and Brad will take a few weeks towards the end of the summer, and run off to France.
Here?s another part of last week?s report, of course from In Touch, and of course about the uncool Bermuda Triangle - according to In Touch, Brad and Jennifer were looking forward to spending some time together in California without Angelina. So perhaps that?s Brad?s plan for the weeks that he and Angelina are separated?

In Touch?s cover story this week (or really, next week?s issue) is yet another ?Impending doom for Brangelina? story. This time, the cover blares out ?Now Their Fight Becomes Public,? although the inside headline is ?Their Private Fight Is Now Public?… fascinating copyediting. Though it has some elements of their previous doom-filled stories about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reuniting to throw massive pity parties together while Angelina sulks in a dark corner, the bulk of the story focuses on how Brad and Angelina were fighting constantly during their trip to Cannes. Earlier today, we reported on both Star?s and the National Enquirer?s versions of the Cannes trip, both reporting that Brad and Angelina seemed like they were ?back in love?.
Hilariously, the story includes a massive amount of ?photo evidence? from the Cannes red carpet and the after-party Brad and Angelina attended. I was cracking up reading it because of all of the little creative titles the In Touch editors gave to the photo arrays. Stuff like: They?re so stiff, Looking stressed, Angry Words, Brad?s the life of the party, Brad ignores Angelina, He drinks away his nerves, Angelina gets tipsy, She?s with another man, They?re kisses were so forced. I feel like the In Touch editors write haikus in their spare time, so I?ll try one too:

There?s a lot of material here, so I?ll just do the first part of the cover story, the part where In Touch?s writers and ?sources? seem to be the only people who saw this massive red carpet fight between Angelina and Brad:
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie usually look like the perfect couple when they are on the red carpet, but as they made their entrance at the Cannes International Film Festival, onlookers at the premiere for Inglourious Basterds on May 20 saw steely glances and overheard heated words exchanged between the two stars.
And onlookers and insiders alike tell In Touch that Brad and Angelina are so unhappy, they can?t hide their disdain for each other in public anymore.
According to a source, before the premiere Brad and Angelina got into a blistering fight while they were getting ready.
?Brad was trying to ignore her, but Angie kept making nasty comments about how she didn?t want to be there,? says a source. ?She was pushing his buttons as only she knows how.?
Brad couldn?t contain his annoyance…[when asked] by an interviewer how he was enjoying Cannes, Brad smiled tightly and said, ?It?s good fun, man. It?s good fun to be here with Quentin,? referring to Quentin Tarantino. But when a fuming Angelina walked up behind him, Brad hastily added, ?and this lovely lady.?
The pair then took a few ?very forced and awkward? pictures for photographers… then Brad left Angelina standing alone and posed with his co-star Diane Kruger for 10 minutes, putting his hand on the samll of her back and gazing adoringly at her.
?Angelina looked so angry,? an onlooker tells In Touch. ?She seemed humiliated.?
[When Brad] paid more attention to Diane, [Angelina] was gripped with jealousy. Making matters worse, Brad had once revealed to Angelina that Diane had a crush on him when they filmed Troy together… [when asked about working with Brad again last October, Diane said] ?I?m extremely excited… he?s great. I?m really happy about it.?
Angelina could not hide her envy on the red carpet, a witness says, and complained under her breath when he finally left Diane?s side. ?She hates when women swoon over him,? a source tells In Touch. Brad tried to contain himself, but the witness says, ?Everyone saw the tension and was making comments.?

Oh my God, Brad posed for pictures with his costar and Angelina is totally going to leave him because of it! Right. As for the first part, where they?re talking about how Angelina was making ?nasty comments? to Brad as they were getting ready, I have two points. First, who told In Touch this? Someone in the room? Because it sounds like it was just Brad and Angelina in the room. Secondly, In Touch has a little pullout ?story? on how Brad and Angelina were staying/sleeping in different rooms in their villa. So… if that?s true, why were they getting ready in the same room? Or was the separate rooms thing bullsh-t? It?s so hard to keep up. As for the entirety of the red carpet analysis about how they were fighting and acting pissy - why was In Touch the only one who saw it?

Brad Pitt in Hello! “I am in love… what else can a guy want?”
This week’s Hello! Magazine features the quotes from Brad Pitt at the after party for Inglourious Basterds that ran in The Mirror and which Kaiser reported yesterday: “I am in love and I have the most beautiful family - what else can a guy want? I am the happiest man ever.” It’s not clear whether Pitt said this directly to Hello!, to a bunch of reporters, or whether he was just overheard. Hello! bills the article on their cover as including new quotes from Pitt, but this is all they seem to have that doesn’t come from other sources. (The part that The Mirror also included where Pitt said “My daughter from Africa is beautiful” is not in Hello!)
Hello! also includes a lot of “insider” quotes about how the two are doing fine and are just subject to many false rumors. It’s possible all this filler text is complete speculation on Hello’s part and that they don’t have a source, but I like their take on it no matter who it’s coming from. Brangelina sells more tabloids than any other couple so it makes sense that there are so many fake stories about them.
Brad and Angelina are fine. Brad does not talk to Aniston
“First of all, none of the stories are true,” one of their closest, most trusted friends told me. “Without exaggeration, there’s just not one word of truth to any of them. The rumours involving Brad and Jennifer are good examples of how completely ludicrous it has all become…
“If you actually knew them you’d know how dumb that is,” says the source. “Brad hasn’t talked to Jennifer in years. I mean, truly they have no communication whatsoever, and not because they are angry but because they have just moved on the way divorced people move on.
“But probably the dumbest story of all? That Angie caught Brad with the couple’s nanny and flew into a rage about it. I mean, really! Like Brad would do such a thing. He might not want me to say so, but that was one lie that really p****d him off. It made him sound so empty headed and fool hardly, and that is so not who he is. But this is what happens when they’re not always out there in the public eye. People make up stories about them just to keep them in the news.”
Brad loves being a “house husband”
“Oh, yes, he’s been thriving for the last couple of months,” another friend of his confirmed. “Just getting up in the morning at the crack of dawn, making a big breakfast - which he’s sort of famous for in the family… kissing Angie goodbye as she goes off to work and then being the house husband, taking care of the kids, getting the older ones off to school, busying the younger ones with activities all day, watching cartoons with them… picking up the kids from school, getting them dinner, doing their homework with them, and then welcoming Angie home.
“It’s been a few months of heaven for Brad. He’s had some help, especially with the cooking. Angie’s brother James has also been staying with them off and on. But it’s pretty much all Brad. He’s amazing as a stay-at-home dad.”
People think that they plot to present a happy face to the world, but that isn’t true
While the couple’s show of unity at Cannes may help dispel the nasty rumours, cynics are not yet satisfied. After all, the world’s press was at Cannes. What better place for a pair of actors to fake a happy relationship? But, clearly, anyone who believes such a thing doesn’t really know Brad and Angelina. Or, as one of Brad’s relatives put it to me: “There are people who actually think Brad and Angie sit down over breakfast and say, ‘Okay, here’s the plan: let’s be seen holding hands and kissing in Cannes. Then, people will think we’re happy when, secretly, we’re actually fighting. Yeah, that should do it. That should pull the wool over their eyes!’
“Let me be clear: if they were not happy they would not be together.”

Angelina, Brad and their children are said to be spending the summer at their rented estate in the French countryside, Chateau Miraval. Angelina is supposedly going to try to learn to cook this summer, although that was supposed to happen last summer and not much came of it. They were also said to be looking for a movie to star in together, but “they realized they if both were making a film at the same time, who’d take care of the kids?” One thing is clear, these two are together and they have six children. Anyone in that situation would understandably have some stress no matter how much help and money they have. Brad and Angelina seem to be in it for the long haul, and if they ever break up or even travel separately we can be sure to hear all about it.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie walked the red carpet for Inglorious Basterds Wednesday evening in Cannes. Angelina wore Versace - a dress that US Weekly is calling ?cream-colored? but looks peachy-beige to me. Maybe it looks different in person? I?m kind of ?meh? on the dress, and wearing her hair down isn?t the best look. She looks a little tired, which I can understand. This is a whirlwind trip for her, yesterday in Holland, today in Cannes and tomorrow she?s probably headed back to New York.
Brad wore a classic tuxedo by Tom Ford, a brand he favors. The pictures show a very affectionate couple, but I?m sure there will be some conspiracy theories:

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie showed some PDA at France’s Cannes Film Festival Wednesday.
The couple couldn’t keep their arms off each other on the red carpet for Pitt’s premiere of the Quentin Tarantino flick, Inglourious Basterds.
Pitt held Jolie’s hand as they made their way to the expansive carpet at the Palais Des Festivals. The duo then alternated between wrapping their arms around each other and gazing into each other’s eyes as they posed for the cameras. They never left each other’s sides.
Jolie donned a cream-colored Versace with a slit nearly up to her waist, while Pitt wore a dapper Tom Ford tuxedo.
Last night, Pitt and Jolie — who are staying at the luxe Hotel Du Cap in Antibes — ran into Twilight star Robert Pattinson at a dinner for Basterds.
“They spoke in the hallway. It didn’t seem like they knew each other that well, but the conversation was friendly,” a restaurant source told Usmagazine.com. “Brad shouted back to Rob, ‘Go inside and get something to eat.’ They all seemed happy.”

His clothes have been quite good, proving my theory that Brad cares a lot more about these red carpets than Angelina. I?m actually a little disappointed with Angelina?s dress. The photcall and first press conference for Inglourious Basterds has already happened in Cannes, and there?s some funny stuff coming out. Brad Pitt is claiming that he doesn?t even really remember signing on to the film because Quentin Tarantino got him hammered on five bottles of wine. Brad describes this as taking place ?at the end of the summer?, which most likely means that Quentin came to visit Chateau Miraval last summer, after Angelina gave birth to the twins. So Brad has been drinking heavily ever since the babies were born. And Angelina was taking care of the babies while Brad and Quentin got drunk on French wine. There?s more:

Inglourious Basterds stars Pitt as an American army officer leading a group of Jewish-American soldiers around Europe taking violent revenge on Nazis.
Tarantino was a bundle of energy as he talked about the movie today, clearly delighted to be back in competition for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival 15 years after he won it for Pulp Fiction.
“Quentin came to visit some time at the end of the summer, we talked about backstory, we talked about movies,” he said.

There?s another interesting article, but this one is mainly quotes from Tarantino. Which is great if you love him (like me) because the man is a first-rate talker. The crux of the interview seems to be director Lars von Trier?s recent Cannes claim, as he was being booed for his film Anti-Christ, that he was God. Tarantino makes a similar claim, but hedges with ?I am god… as far as the characters are concerned.?
Ebullient as usual on stage, Quentin Tarantino met the press today shortly after the overwhelmingly packed first screening of his new film, ?Inglourious Basterds? this morning at the Cannes Film Festival. He praised Cannes as the holy land and declared himself god. But, there?s more to the story.
Opening in German-occupied France in 1941, Tarantino?s latest follows a young woman who opens a Paris movie theater after barely escaping the execution of her entire family by the Nazis. Elsewhere, a group of renegade Jewish soldiers band together to capture Nazis, ultimately joining forces with the woman (and her movie theater) to plot the demise of Hitler and his cohorts to end the war.
Asked this morning whether he stands by a previous statement that he loves all of his characters, QT continued the steady stream of auterist language being found here in Cannes this year.
?I love [my characters] from this god perspective because I am god as far as the characters are concerned, because I created them,? Tarantino said today.
The talk of the film may very well be the role of Nazi Col. Hans Landa, arguably the key character within the ensemble cast. Played by Austrian actor Christoph Waltz, who practically steals the show, Tarantino explained today that without the right man to play the role, he was ready to scrap the movie.
?I realized that I was writing a pretty impressive character pretty early on,? Tarantino explained, reiterating that finding the right actor was essential to the movie. ?There was something very liberating about [being willing to walk away] from it rather than make a compromise.?
Later in the gathering, fellow actor Brad Pitt validated Tarantino?s assertions about authorship, saying, ?It?s a real pleasure working for an auteur and something special to come here to the holy land with him.?

It?s true that Cannes was the first festival to recognize Tarantino as a genius, and it cracks me up that both Quentin and Brad Pitt refer to Cannes as ?the holy land?. The reviews are starting to come in, and it?s about what I expected. The high-brow media outlets don?t care for Basterds, while everybody else thinks it?s pretty good. BBC News has a decent review of the film, calling it a ?comic revenge fantasy? and a blend of western and war genres, with some ?camp-operatic? parts. Nearly everyone is interested in the German actor Christoph Waltz, a TV star who plays SS officer Colonel Hans Landa in the film, many pointing out that he steals every scene he?s in. The biggest criticisms thus far seem to the time (Basterds is nearly three hours long) and ?Pitt’s character not getting the screen time he deserves.? So Quentin got Brad hammered and made him smoke some kind of homemade bong, and Brad didn?t even get the best part? For shame, Quentin.

Brad Pitt and his brother Doug just contributed $600,000 to Drury University in Missouri. The money goes towards The O?Reilly Family Event Center, which is currently being built on campus, but it?s not just some athletic giveaway. The money is being specifically designated towards making the center meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design (LEED) gold standards. The certification of ?gold? is the second-highest standard a building can meet. In exchange for their donation, Brad and Doug Pitt asked the court in the center be named for their father, William A. Pitt. According to the Spingfield News-Leader, ?The arena will be among the first in the nation to meet the gold standard.? They?re trying to complete the arena before Pittsburgh?s 2010 completion of the Consol Energy Arena, future home of the NHL’s Penguins.
Edsel Matthews said he was a little relieved after the ceremonial groundbreaking for the O’Reilly Family Event Center on Friday.
The vice president of athletics affairs at Drury University has spent the past 18 months raising enough funds to move forward with the construction.
“It’s exhilaration and relief at the same time,” Matthews said. “We’re not through. We’ve got a lot more to do, but we’re thrilled to move to this point.”
The $13.5 million, 3,100-seat arena will be the home of the Drury men’s and women’s basketball teams starting in the 2010-11 season. Bulldozers already had begun clearing the land a few weeks before Friday’s ceremonies.
Although Matthews said he still needs to raise about $500,000 to fund fixtures and furnishings, the project got another large donation late last month.
The Pitt family of Springfield, led by Brad, Doug and Julie, donated $600,000 in exchange for the court being named the William A. Pitt Court in honor of their father.
The name of the court will be emblazoned on the outside of the building. The donation will go toward upgrading the building’s environmental friendliness.
Now, the O’Reilly Family Event Center will be built to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design (LEED) gold standards. Gold certification is the second-highest standard a building can meet.
“Brad’s hobby is architecture, and his push in the ‘Make It Right’ campaign has been working at the highest levels of LEED certifications they can,” Doug Pitt said. “So to be involved in any type of building project, that’s going to be at the forefront of any conversation right away.?
“It was something that was important to him, and it was something that was important to the O’Reilly family and something that was important to Drury.”
The “Make It Right” project is a campaign run by Brad Pitt to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans with affordable, environmentally friendly houses.
The arena will be among the first in the nation to meet the gold standard. Consol Energy Arena in Pittsburgh, future home of the NHL’s Penguins and scheduled to open in 2010, is also on pace for gold certification.
“Doing a gold event center is a major statement,” Drury president Todd Parnell said.
“With Drury having partners that we have, the O’Reilly family, the Pitt family, CoxHealth and the Mabee Foundation, it speaks to the quality of the project. It’s a great day.”
The ceremony had barely wrapped up before the bulldozers started working again.

It?s a cool thing to do, a really nice way for Brad and Doug to honor their dad, and to make one of those huge stadiums more environmentally-friendly is a great idea. In any case, it?s better than nothing. Brad and Doug have worked together on a few charitable endeavors over the past few years. Late last year, Brad and Angelina (through The Jolie-Pitt Foundation) matched funds with local Missouri businesses to support a children?s charity providing clothes, food and school supplies to children living in poverty.
My first thought when I read this was ?Oh, Brad?s promoting a movie.? I totally support Brad and Angelina?s charitable endeavors, but sometimes I think they should try to separate the timing of their charity activities with their promotional film duties. It may seem to them like they?re cross-promoting a certain cause while promoting a film, but another way to spin it is that they?re just giving money at certain times when they?ve got something to promote, and they want to look really great and magnanimous.
