Having some fun in the sun with her boys, Naomi Watts headed to the beach in Santa Monica on Saturday (January 26).
The "Impossible" star looked cute in a beige sweater, blue jeans, and light fedora as Alexander and Samuel played in the sand.
Later that evening, the 44-year-old actress dialed up the glamour to attend the Producers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Though her partner, Liev Schreiber, was absent, fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman joined her pal on the red carpet where the old friends shared a laugh while posing for photos.

Looking to add some comfortable touches to her home, Naomi Watts went furniture shopping at H.D. Buttercup in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 23).
The "Impossible" star looked pretty in a patterned top and leather pants as she chatted on her phone on the way out of the store.
Last week, the 44-year-old joined Robin Wright at the Sundance Film Festival to reveal their new movie, "Two Mothers."
It was recently announced that New Exclusive Media's distribution division Exclusive Releasing has picked up U.S. rights to the drama.

Preparing to show the world her new movie, Naomi Watts posed for a portrait during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival at the Getty Images Portrait Studio at Village at the Lift in Park City, Utah on Friday (January 18).
The 44-year-old actress looked cute in a striped sweater and black leather pants as she promoted her upcoming flick, "Two Mothers." Later, she premiered the drama on the red carpet at the festival.
In the controversial film, the "Impossible" star plays one of two mothers who fall in love with each other's adult sons.
Joining her in the Anne Fontaine-directed drama are Robin Wright, Ben Mendelsohn, and Xavier Samuel. "Two Mothers" hits theaters in Australia this year.

Taking time to tackle her to-do list, Naomi Watts ran errands in Santa Monica on Wednesday (January 16).
The ?J. Edgar? actress wore a walking-friendly ensemble of jeans and a black sweater, as she toted her West Elm purchases from store to store.
Ms.Watts is an Academy Award nominee for her role in "The Impossible," where she plays a wife struggling to keep her family together in the aftermath of the devastating 2004 Thailand tsunami.
The action film also stars Ewan Mcgregor, and is currently thrilling audiences in theaters nationwide.

Dressed casually for a stop at the store, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber went to Whole Foods in Los Angeles on Tuesday (January 15).
The "Impossible" star wore a green jacket, Pink shirt, and black pants while her handsome partner sported a white long-sleeved shirt and khakis.
Recently, the 44-year-old actress received some harsh criticism from the conservative group The Sutherland Institute for her upcoming movie, "Two Mothers."
The group says Utah should pull funding from the Sundance Film Festival because of the "obscene" movie with features women having affairs with one another's adult sons. According to the group's director of public policy, Derek Monson, "There are a lot of people here that find that kind of thing objectionable. We are a family friendly state and we endeavor to be so because we value the benefits that strong families bring to society."

The 44-year-old actress looked stunning in a Gucci dress and Salvatore Ferragamo shoes as she worked the JW Marriott red carpet with her dapper beau.
According to the event's website, G'Day USA "is an annual series of nationwide events that strengthen the relationship between Australia and the US in business, innovation, and culture."
Also showing off their Aussie pride during the evening were Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, along with Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.

Stepping on to the red carpet in style, Naomi Watts arrived at the 2013 Critic's Choice Movie Awards on Thursday evening (January 10).
The 44-year-old actress looked picture perfect on the arm of her actor hubby, Liev Schreiber, as the Tinseltown twosome mingled their way around the Barker Hangar venue in Santa Monica, California.
Miss Watts is up for a Best Actress award for her work in ?The Impossible.? She?s competitng against fellow actresses including Jennifer Lawrence, Marion Cotillard, Quvenzhane Wallis, Emmanuelle Riva, and Jessica Chastain.
Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day-Lewis, John Hawkes, Hugh Jackman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Denzel Washington are all in the running for Best Actor.
Best Picture hopefuls include, ?Argo,? ?Beasts of the Southern Wild,? ?Django Unchained,? ?Les Miserables,? ?Life of Pi,? ?Lincoln,? ?The Master,? ?Moonrise Kingdom,? ?Silver Linings Playbook,? and ?Zero Dark Thirty.?

She?s no stranger to the awards show hype, and Naomi Watts looked to be having a great time at the 2013 People's Choice Awards this evening (January 9).
The ?You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger? starlet took her turn in front of the paparazzi in a floor length black skirt and a backless gold tank, and chatted with press ahead of tonight?s big affair.
Meanwhile, top nominees this year include Katy Perry with seven (1 in Movies, 1 in Television and 5 in Music), along with the hit FOX show "Glee" at seven and the movie "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ? Part 2" garnering nine bids for PCA glory.
The People's Choice Awards is the only major awards show voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in music, movies and television. The swanky ceremony will be hosted by Kaley Cuoco with performances by Demi Lovato and Faith Hill.

Naomi Watts covers the February issue of Vogue Australia, and I think this is maybe one of her loveliest pictorials ever. Now, that being said, I can?t really recall many of Naomi?s magazine editorials ever making an impression on me either way. I actually don?t think she does a lot of magazine interviews and editorials?? So this is a special case, and it?s lovely. I like the floral background and I love the green Gucci gown on the cover. Beautiful.
Naomi appears on the cover for two projects ? one, she?s promoting The Impossible, for which she will probably get a Best Actress Oscar nomination, and God knows, she might even be a major contender for the award too. She?s also talking a lot about her Princess Diana film, which as this point is only called Diana (it used to be Caught In Flight??). That film doesn?t even have a US or UK release date yet, so God knows when it will come out. Anyway, Naomi spent a big chunk of this Vogue interview talking about Diana:
Playing Diana: ‘In the case of Diana, of course, there is a huge pressure to look right, to have good hair, to walk and speak like her. And I instantly thought “Oh no, I?m going to fail at that because the comparisons are going to be monumental”. I?m always interested in complicated women, in women who are full of contradictions: strength, vulnerability, success, loneliness and all those things. Diana exemplified that in major ways. She was a great mother, did a lot of things with AIDS charities and the landmines, and had an extraordinary life, but her life was filled with tragedy and, of course, ended in the most tragic way.?
Comparing her celebrity existence to Diana?s: ?Most of the time I go completely under the radar but I do understand a little the pressure and how awful it must have been for her. She was properly isolated because of the media attention and, as a result, paranoid. She didn?t know who to trust and that is horrible. Such a lonely idea…a horrible way to live.’
On The Impossible: ‘It was definitely hard work but had it been on green screen, you wouldn?t have got the same feeling. I mean, we were in that pool, struggling to breathe. Of course, nothing to the extent to what the real people went through, but, nonetheless? I?m not even a strong swimmer. The pressure of The Impossible was huge because it is such a sensitive subject and needs to be told with a lot of truth.’
On living a normal life: “There is nothing that is going to stop me [living a normal life]. I won’t allow that. Sometimes we may be suddenly surrounded by 10 or 15 photographers on the school run and they just won’t get out of your face, but most of the time we’re fine and can get through it. I don’t want to be stuck in the house and send someone to fetch the children.”
On keeping a work-life balance: “You know, I want be able to do normal things. You can also add to the problem if you do the secretive thing, putting up the umbrellas and all that. It creates more allure that way. I think it’s better to go out with messy hair. They might write that I look tired or old or something but they are going to pick on something regardless.”
On tough criticism: “I got knockback after knockback at auditions. Just before ‘Mulholland Dr.’ my agent told me I was so intense I was freaking people out. She told me I was a brilliant actor but the feedback was that I made people feel uncomfortable because I was so nervous and intense. I just sat there and blubbed. My mum was staying in LA at the time and I went to her and said: ‘I just can’t do this. I’m not cut out for it.’ She just said: ‘Don’t believe a word people say about you. Forget them.’”

Is it weird that Naomi kind of gives me Jessica Chastain vibes? I mean that in a good way for the most part ? I think both women try to be purposefully bland and noncontroversial in their personal lives, and I think both women are talented and intelligent and they take their work seriously. It?s funny to me that they?re probably going to be going against each other for Best Actress. Jessica, Naomi, Jennifer Lawrence? maybe Marion Cotillard or Rachel Weisz or Helen Mirren. If you had to choose between Naomi and Jessica, who would you pick?
