Spending her 43rd birthday in the Big Apple, Naomi Watts tended to her morning errands while out and about in New York City earlier today (September 28).
Dressed in an all-black ensemble, the "21 Grams" actress was all smiles as she strolled past the looming paparazzi on her special day.
Just as she's ringing in another year, Naomi has opened up about her decision to become a mother later in life, telling press, "I had a lot I wanted to do when I was younger, and perhaps I wouldn't have been as focused."
Watts, who gave birth to second son Samuel two years ago, added, "I got a lot out of the way in terms of my own dreams. You grow up and hopefully become more self-aware. I think I'm a better parent."

She dated Heath Ledger from 2002 until 2004 and Naomi Watts recently told press that she had some wonderful moments with the late actor.
"We had a beautiful relationship, only a couple of years, but he was a man who was completely full of joy, and there was a lot of laughing and affection. He was really a very special soul.?
The ?Dream House? actress, who has two sons with Live Schreiber, also noted that she feels sympathy for Ledger?s daughter Matilda, as she also lost her father at a young age.
"Not knowing my father always made me feel like a piece of myself was missing or unknown. Not reachable. Growing up, there was this wondering what he would think of me or what I would think of him."
Naomi added, "[Heath was such] a great actor, but I know there was so much more to come. It's such a tragedy for his little daughter.?

Celebrating her 42nd birthday, Naomi Watts was spotted out and about with her husband Live Schreiber in New York City last night (September 28).
The ?21 Grams? actress and her ?Manchurian Candidate? hubby looked to be enjoying themselves as they strolled through the trendy SoHo neighborhood as the paparazzi looked on.
And though they already have two sons, Naomi told press she would be open to having another child in the future.
?I would go a third, it would be nice to have a little girl. You should see our house, it?s pretty chaotic right now and I keep making fun of Liev because he keeps walking around going, ?no more babies, no more babies,? like Rain Man or something.?

After running some errands in New York City, Naomi Watts was spotted returning to her apartment in the Nolita neighborhood yesterday (July 26).
The ?21 Grams? actress looked a bit flustered as she dug through her purse for her keys while the nearby paparazzi snapped up pictures.
In career news, Naomi has been named as the new face of Ann Taylor?s Fall 2010 advertising campaign.
Coming in September, Ms. Watts will appear in spots in Elle, Glamour, Harper?s Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire, More, Vanity Fair, and Vogue.

Showing up for a hard-earned night, Liev Schreiber attended the Los Angeles, California premiere of ?Salt? on Monday (July 19) at Grauman?s Chinese Theatre.
The ?Defiance? actor and his domestic partner, Naomi Watts, looked lovely as they arrived for the showing of his latest film in which he plays a colleague and friend to Angelina Jolie?s character, Evelyn Salt.
Of his sexy co-star, Liev recently told press, ?I met her years ago at Sundance, but I get nervous around famous people and beautiful women, so this was like a double whammy for me.?
But it sounds like he was able to pull himself together -Schreiber says he and Angelina bonded over chats about their kids, teething and timeouts.

Back in April, there were some rumors flying around that Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber were on the verge of splitting up. The reports at the time seemed to indicate that Liev was kind of douche, and that Naomi was tired of dealing with him. They have two young sons, and the whole thing was kind of sad, although both seemed to make an effort to deny that they were having problems, and they stayed together for the time being. I theorized at the time that if someone wanted to start a rumor about Schreiber and his Broadway costar Scarlett Johansson, I would be up for it. Anyway, long story short, the ?impending breakup? rumors have started anew. The NYDN claims that Liev has flown to Tahiti to get some space while he considers their relationship.
When there is trouble in paradise, head to another one. That seems to be Liev Schreiber?s plan.
A source close to the actor says Schreiber took an early-morning flight yesterday out of Newark to Palm Beach, where he boarded a private plane to Tahiti for “about a week.”
Schreiber is traveling with friends, but the source says one purpose of the trip is to contemplate the state of his five-year relationship with Australian actress Naomi Watts, who will soon portray CIA spy Valerie Plame on the big screen in “Fair Game.”
According to the source, Schreiber, who has two sons with Watts, is technically “together” with the blond beauty, and the couple have appeared in public frequently, most recently at the Tony Awards and a Shakespeare in the Park gala.
But, the source adds, the two have not been getting along lately and Schreiber has decided he needs some space from tensions at home.
Schreiber, who stars alongside Angelina Jolie in the spy flick “Salt” next month, was scheduled to be in Cancun for the big-budget blockbuster?s press junket.
But our insider says the actor is skipping the publicity-go-round for some free time away from work and family, to “sort things out mentally.”
A rep for Schreiber calls our story “ridiculous,” saying: “Liev went on a diving trip with a group of friends, and his boys are too young to go.”
But isn?t that what nannies are for?

Hm? I don?t know. I would like to think that they?re very solid, but I?m honestly surprised that they?ve made it work thus far. They?re two working actors, and they both work constantly. Back in April, there was a theory that Schreiber didn?t like being with someone more famous than him, but I don?t know. People know who he is, don?t they? I?ve always liked him as an actor too - and I find him sexy. But will I still like him if he dumps Naomi? Eh. His image might take a hit. But he?s never billed himself as Mr. Family-Friendly, so I think he?ll be okay.

Having high-powered actresses as friends is never a bad thing when it comes to getting a little promotional help, and Stella McCartney always seems to draw out the biggest names in Tinseltown.
The well-liked designer saw Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Naomi Watts all turn up as she made her 2011 Spring Presentation in the West Village of New York City on Tuesday (June 8).
The trio of actresses smiled as they posed alongside one another, with Miss Hudson having rushed over following an appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman".
Meanwhile, Miss Paltrow was fresh off of attending the CFDA Fashion Awards the previous evening, as she bestowed the Womenswear designer of the year honors upon Michael Kors.
Complimenting Gwyneth backstage while chatting with People magazine, Kors graciously said, ?I?ve known Gwyneth for a long time. She gets more and more beautiful. She?s a woman who can juggle everything and do it all beautifully, perform onstage and screen, a great mom, great wife, great business woman.. .. and she?s curious.?

As for her work with Woody Allen in ?You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger,? Naomi says she was nervous collaborating with the legendary writer/director.
?I had heard he doesn?t like to talk much and it can be difficult to know what he wants. He was shy at first but after that he was charming to work with. He?s very entertaining. It?s true he doesn?t yell or say when he?s happy with a scene, he just moves on. Usually between scenes you go back to your trailer to catch up on email or make a call but not on this movie. I didn?t want to miss a single Woody moment.?

The ?King Kong? actress is there promoting her new flick ?You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger? and arrived for press duties alongside Woody Allen.
Earlier in the day, Ms Watts landed in Nice, France with her two sons, Sasha and Kai and looked a bit exhausted after the long day of travel.
