These are photos of Kate Winslet last night in Madrid, where she accepted an award for her humanitarian work (?) at the Yo Dona International Awards. Winslet?s dress is Victoria Beckham! Now only is it Beckham, it?s two-year-old Beckham! It?s from the 2009 collection. So either Winslet didn?t care and she just wanted to wear what she thought was a pretty dress, OR she didn?t really care enough about this event to find something new. As for the dress - I?d like it on her at a December premiere. It?s way too covered-up for Madrid in June, I think.
She might have been awarded for her humanitarian work last night but Kate Winslet also got full marks in the style stakes too. The British actress, 35, looked extremely elegant as she arrived at the Yo Dona International Awards in Madrid last night.
Kate was dressed in a floor-length black Victoria Beckham dress which boasted an embellished detail above the waist to accept her award for her humanitarian work at the award ceremony held at Palacio de Cristal de Arganzuela.
The actress was dressed in the simple yet stylish dress from Mrs Beckham’s AW 2009 collection. And her enviable figure was on display in the Lescot body skimming dress in black with a slash neck, defined shoulders, and ring embroidery waist detail.
Kate teamed the archive ensemble with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels and carried a hard clutch bag by Judith Leiber. She finished off her look with an elegant ponytail and a pair of dangling Tiffany & Co. earrings.
As well as being awarded an award for her humanitarian efforts it was announced that the Titanic actress is also among the stars who will be awarded a star on Hollywood?s Walk Of Fame next year.

Yes, it was just announced a short while ago that Winslet is one of the honorees for this year?s Walk of Fame, a list that includes Jennifer Aniston, Vin Diesel, Scarlett Johansson, Richard Burton (posthumous) and Jennifer Lopez. It?s said that the studios and publicists organize who will get a star and when, and that the stars or the studios are actually paying for their stars. My point? It?s not so much an ?honor? as just another way to promote your film. But still, congrats to Winslet.

Stepping out for a fabulous evening, Kate Winslet was spotted at the Yo Dona International Awards in Madrid, Spain last night (June 21).
The ?Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? actress looked amazing as she arrived at the Palacio de Cristal de Arganzuela and posed for the paparazzi before heading inside.
In a recent interview, Kate?s ?Mildred Pierce? costar Guy Pearce sang her praises- ?Her intelligence and capacity to do this detailed and complex role while dealing with her personal life was just mind-blowing.?
?We all knew she was going through a breakup, and yet she was so present, and so prepared. And furthermore, she?s funny, and forever entertaining to be around. She?s a real leveler - to her, everyone in the room is equal. She?s the bee?s knees, really.?

She?s always up for a new challenge, and Kate Winslet recently signed on to star in the upcoming film ?Labor Day.?
The ?Titanic? actress will work under the direction of Jason Reitman, who also scripted the adaptation of the Joyce Maynard novel.
In the flick, Kate will play a single mother of a young son who takes in a stranger with a dangerous past. She falls in love with him over the course of Labor Day Weekend.
As of late, Ms. Winslet has been busy with ?Mildred Pierce? as well as the Roman Polanski-directed ?Carnage.?

Taking care of her to-do list, Kate Winslet was spotted out and about in Greenwich Village, New York City yesterday afternoon (June 2).
The ?Titanic? babe looked cute and casual in a white scoopneck top with black stretch pants and black flip flops as she hoofed it down the street.
In relationship news, it seems Kate has reconciled with her ex-lover Louis Dowler, given that they were spotted together in Woodstock, New York over the weekend.
According to an inside source, ?They look like they?ve patched things up.? Kate and Louis had a brief romance that ended seven months ago.

I have something to admit that will send the sisterhood into a tizzy: I?m kind of over Kate Winslet. At some point, she really started rubbing me the wrong way. It?s not because she and Sam Mendes split, but maybe it?s because of how she behaved afterwards? But not even that specifically? it feels like Winslet has changed for the worse over the past few years. She won her Oscar, took a well-deserved breather, got a divorce, and yet? in the few interviews I?ve read with her recently, I just wanted her to shut up. There?s a smugness there, but like she?s trying to put on the ?I?m just a average woman? faade. I feel like she?s patronizing us. I feel like she?s just another Hollywood hustler now with her jacked face and (what I see as) her lies about weight loss and Botox. I?m tired of the ?I?m just a normal mother? act whenever she?s posing for her latest ad campaign with Mario Testino. I don?t know. She just bugs.
And then there?s this? for the past few months, Kate has allegedly been a single girl after she split with British model Lousi Dowler. Now she?s taken him back, apparently:
Oscar winner Kate Winslet was spotted upstate with model Louis Dowler over the weekend, despite reports they split after four months last November. The “Mildred Pierce” star and handsome Dowler were seen driving together in Woodstock on Sunday.
The two met at a party after Winslet and director Sam Mendes announced in March last year they were ending their seven-year marriage. Her romance with Dowler hit a Bump, with Winslet reportedly telling him she wants to be alone, but it now looks like they’ve patched things up. Winslet’s rep didn’t get back to us.

See? I don?t blame her for wanting ?easy.? She?s a single mom with two kids, two ex-husbands and a thriving career. Why would she want a relationship that?s actually high maintenance? Why not just go for the low-maintenance model? I understand that. But I guess my problem is that I thought Winslet was better than all of this, better than on-and-off hookups with male models, better than jacking her face, better than the smugness, better than the put-on act. Once again, I know you?re going to yell at me. But I?m just over her.

Checking off a list of errands along the way, Kate Winslet was spotted out and about in New York City's West Village earlier today (May 2).
The "Mildred Pierce" actress kicked off her week in a casual way, sporting a pair of black and white sunglasses, brown purse, black coat, blue jeans and black flats.
As for her career efforts, Kate has a busy week ahead of her while she readies herself for the duties surrounding her newest modeling endeavor as the face of St. John.
Winslet, who also represents Lancome beauty and Longines watches, will front the brand's Autumn 2011 campaign, in which she'll start shooting for in New Jersey later this week (May 5).

I have to admit something - as a general rule, I hate polka dots on adult women. Put polka dots on a child, or even a tween, and I think it?s cute. But almost never on an adult woman. However, if you?re an adult woman and you?re going to do polka dots, you should do it like Kate Winslet at the premiere of Mildred Pierce. Kate is wearing Stella McCartney, and I don?t really hate it. I like the way the sheer polka-dotted fabric is cut with the black fabric, and I especially like how it curves around the bust. It?s surprising, and flattering.
Also at the premiere, Kate?s costar/on-screen daughter Evan Rachel Wood. She?s in head-to-toe Elie Saab. I would have liked to see the dress with less matchy-matchy shoes. And I also think ERW dresses with slightly too much ?theatricality? you know? I?ll give her this though - she?s not afraid of color, so good for her.
Melissa Leo was also at the premiere - bitch can?t dress. This is so unflattering on her, but despite that, it?s one of her better looks.
Guess who else is in the miniseries? Guy Pearce!! I love Guy so much. He?s so talented and pretty. He even did an interview where he was talking about how much he and Winslet loved working together - go here to read it. Guy Pearce for HGF?

Just weeks away from its television kickoff, Kate Winslet and Evan Rachel Wood joined up for the premiere of "Mildred Pierce" in New York City on Monday evening (March 21).
Held at the Ziegfeld Theatre, the two lovely co-stars were joined by leading man, Guy Pearce, as well as director Todd Haynes at the special Big Apple screening.
As for the production, "Mildred Pierce" is "a five-part drama follows the independent, ambitious and hard-working Mildred Pierce after she and her husband Bert (Brian F. O?Byrne) separate in Glendale, California in 1931 and then rebuilds her life for herself and her two daughters, Veda (Morgan Turner), 11; and Ray (Quinn McColgan), 7."
Drawing rave reviews from critics, the made for TV miniseries will debut parts 1 & 2 on Sunday (March 27) from 8 to 10:05PM on HBO while part 3 airs on April 3 from 8 to 9:15PM.
The sure-to-be entertaining work will close out with parts 4 & 5 airing on April 10 from 8 to 10:30PM.

Staying dry underneath her umbrella, Kate Winslet stepped out for lunch in rainy New York City earlier today (March 21).
The "Titanic" star kept it simple and chic in a nearly all back ensemble which included a tailored blazer, v-neck top, tight black trousers, and nude pumps.
The 35-year-old recently opened up about her upcoming role in HBO's "Mildred Pierce," saying she used experiences from her personal life, like being a single mother and her divorce, to connect with her character of a single mom struggling to feed her family in the 1940's.
When talking to press, Kate said this about the ups and downs in her life: ?I would never erase any part of my life or things that have happened to me even if they?ve been tough to get through at the time or frightening or whatever they might have been. Those things do become wonderful memories to learn from and share with people and share with your children and grandchildren, and they?re all kind of character-forming experiences. And for an actor that?s all you have. So I would never change any part of it.?
