She?s no stranger to magazine covers, and Kate Winslet is featured on the front of V magazine's Heroes Issue Fall 2011.
The ?Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? actress was photographed by the legendary Mario Testino and, as could be expected, she looks flawless.
The Fall 2011 Heroes Issue hits newsstands tomorrow, September 8th, and features stunners like Stephanie Seymour, Candice Swanepoel, and Aymeline Vadale.
Additionally, V has also released a trio of video clip teasers, giving an inside look at how the issue, dedicated to Elizabeth Taylor, was put together.

Most of you absolutely hated Kate Winslet?s beige-y Victoria Beckham dress at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Carnage. I don?t know, I kind of liked it then and I kind of liked it now. Kate usually doesn?t wear very ?modern? dresses? or, I guess I should say it this way, she usually doesn?t pull off very clean, modern styles. I personally don?t think she really knows what looks good on her figure, and I won?t even get into how she styles herself. Anyway, these are even more photos of Kate from Venice - she?s also there to promote Mildred Pierce, I guess because the miniseries hasn?t aired internationally yet? Kate wore this odd Stella McCartney dress for the red carpet. Now, THIS I hate. Michael K calls it a titty-bib dress, but it?s worse than that. The way the panels are cut to specifically ?fool the eye? into thinking Kate has a smaller figure, it?s just tacky. It?s like the dress equivalent of a tuxedo t-shirt. And Kate needs to stop pouring herself into these too-tight dresses too.
I disliked Evan Rachel Wood?s red carpet dress too - she wore this black Alessandra Rich. I think it looks cheap, like something on the discount rack at Belk?s. ERW tries to upgrade it with her styling, but it?s just kind of meh.
Both Kate and ERW looked cute for the earlier photo call though - I like that Evan is trying to bring back the vest. It?s so 1993.

These are photos of Kate Winslet at last night?s premiere of Carnage at the Venice Film Festival. I?ve also included some additional photos of Winslet at the end of the post from earlier Thursday, at the photo call. For this post, my intention was merely to discuss the red carpet fashion, but I don?t think I should just ignore what happened yesterday.

Okay. Yesterday, I wrote this post about Kate Winslet?s face at the Carnage photo call in Venice. I thought (as in, it was my opinion, my disorientation at seeing what I perceived to be her tweaked face) that she looked ?worked on? and ?pulled?. Her eyes in particular look very different - TO ME. In retrospect, I think I probably went overboard in my description of the work I ?thought? Kate had gotten ?done? - partly out of an effort to be funny, partly out of a real anger that I have when any celebrity seems to lie so blatantly (once again, in my opinion). A lot of you yelled at me, and some of you agreed with me. The split was maybe 70-30, maybe 65-35, with the majority of you thinking that I was a lie monster who simply had a hate-on for Kate. Lainey at LaineyGossip weighed in too, and she thinks that Kate is un-tweaked. All of this is fine, everyone is free to disagree. I?d like to offer an apology to those of you who were genuinely offended by the post. I still think Kate has been worked on, but I could have approached the issue better, I think. I shouldn?t have been so strident.
Can we talk about the fashion now? Kate is wearing Victoria Beckham! Generally, I dislike blondes in shades of beige - it usually washes them out. But this shade is just dark enough so that Kate doesn?t look like a piece of toast. And like most VB dresses, that sucker is TIGHT. I think it must have a built in support system, because Kate?s girls are hoisted up in that dress. But the coolest thing is the back:
I really like the zipper detail. I like the shawl collar too, and I like that Kate wore a cocktail dress to the red carpet instead of a gown. It still looks glamorous even though it?s not full-length. Oh, and the shoes are Jimmy Choo - meh on the glittery feet. More photos from the red carpet and photo call:

It?s one of the greatly-anticipated flicks of the Venice Film Festival, and today (September 1) ?Carnage? held its official premiere.
The film?s stars Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly, and Christoph Waltz were all in the house at the Palazzo Del Cinema to promote their new movie.
Also starring Jodie Foster, ?Carnage? tells the story of two sets of parents who decide to have a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a schoolyard brawl.
And though the lucky folks in Venice get to see it now, moviegoers here in the States will have to wait until December 16th, 2011 to see the surely fabulous film.

Taking care of her media duties, Kate Winslet was spotted at the Venice Film Festival photo call for her new movie ?Carnage? today (September 1).
Joined by costars John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz, the ?Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? actress looked fabulous in a beige blazer, black dress, and matching heels.
Kate recently had a scare while visiting the home of Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island. Lightning struck the house and it burned to the ground, but luckily she got her kids and boyfriend out in time.
She told press, ?I?m just so glad that everyone is safe. And this very easily could not have been the case. I will never forget Richard placing his arms around both my children as we were watching the flames, and saying, ?At the end of the day, what you realize is that all that matters is the people that you love. Everything else is just stuff. And none of that stuff matters."'

These are some new photos of Kate Winslet at the Venice Film Festival, at the photo call for her new movie, Carnage. I?ll talk about the movie in a moment, but for now, can we talk about Kate?s face? This is The (Tweaked, ?Toxed) Face of The British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League, you know. She looks like a Kardashian dipped in bleach. She looks like she has Megan Fox?s surgeon, the one who makes Caucasian women look pan-Asian. A year ago, Kate looked super-puffy and waxy, and we just thought she was doing Botox and fillers. But now we have to talk about the tweaking, right? Because this is not Kate Winslet?s natural face. She?s been plucked, sucked, tweaked, ?Toxed, filled, injected, pulled, and chopped. That is a face made of lies.
As for Kate?s new film?I kept hearing about it when it was a play called God of Carnage and James Gandolfini was starring in it. Everyone loved the play, but I?m not sure if the film adaptation looks any good. It stars Kate, Jodie Foster (who is MIA at Venice), John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz. Oh, and it?s directed by Roman Polanski. So? yeah. It looks TERRIBLE.
Out of all of them, doesn?t Kate look like the one who doesn?t fit somehow? I always think she has problems when she?s doing an American accent, though.

Did you know that Kate Winslet is friendly with Richard Branson? It makes sense, although I didn?t know that before today. Anyway, Winslet is tight enough with Branson that she was vacationing on his private island, Necker, in the British Virgin Islands. Have you ever seen Branson?s MTV Cribs where he shows off the Necker estate? It?s INSANE. It?s so beautiful there, and I would have put up with Branson just to spend some time there. That?s right, past tense. The place burned down early this morning while Kate, her children and other guests were staying there. No one is hurt! Everyone got out.
Kate Winslet’s tropical vacation turned terrifying early Monday morning when a fire broke out at Richard Branson’s Caribbean home where she and her family were staying.
The actress, 35, her boyfriend, Louis Dowler, and her children Mia, 10, and Joe, 7, escaped, along with 16 other guests from the eight-bedroom Great House on Necker, Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands.
Branson told the AP that the fire broke out around 4 a.m. during a tropical storm. His son Sam, 25, helped guests evacuate, and the house was “completely destroyed” by the fire.
The cause of the inferno is still under investigation, but lightning is likely to blame.
Winslet’s rep confirmed that the actress was unharmed.
Last month, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were married on Necker island, saying their “I do’s” just steps from the house that burned down Monday.

Is it weird that Kate was there with Louis Dowler? I thought they broke up? Ah, no, they were back on in June. Guess they?re still back on. At least they?re ?on? enough for some vacation bonin?. Oh, well. I?m glad Kate and her kids are alright and no one was seriously injured. It?s sad about the damage to the property, though. This place really did look amazing:

Here are some photos of Kate Winslet in Bejing, China? two days ago?? And we?re just getting the photos now? Sure. So Kate was in Bejing for her role as the ?face? of Lancme (remember her crazy-cheesy ad?). Kate wore this asymmetric, black Ralph Lauren gown, a clutch by Sergio Rossi and jewelry by Tiffany?s. If I?m just judging the style part of this look - sure, it all looks nice together, the dress is acceptable, not groundbreaking, but not fug either. It?s decent ensemble.
So, what?s the problem? I think it may be a combination of things - first of all, I don?t think the lighting is doing Winslet any favors. Secondly, these photos might raise the ongoing debate about whether Winslet has gotten tweaked. I?ve been saying she?s tweaked for over a year now, even though she denies it, and many disagree. I?m not saying it?s Beyonce-level ?Bitch Got Tweaked?-dom, but I certainly remember a time when Winslet?s face was softer-looking and not quite so? hard. She?s 35 years old, and maybe my problem is simply that I haven?t seen a natural-looking 35-year-old in a while. But I don?t think that?s it - I think the bitch is tweaked, and she?s lying about it.
You know who she looks like in some of these photos? Sharon Stone. Sharon?s got a good 20 years on her, so take that for what it?s worth.

Taking care of some overseas promotion, Kate Winslet was in attendance for a Lancome Press Conference in Beijing, China yesterday (July 12).
The ?Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? actress looked lovely in a leggy black dress as she posed for pictures and chatted with members of the press.
The previous day, Miss Winslet took part in another Lancome event in the Chinese locale during which she turned up in a Ralph Lauren frock topped off with a Sergio Rossi bag and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
Aside from her efforts in Asia, Kate gave some advice to young aspiring actors and actresses who want to hone their craft during a recent interview.
She shared, "What I've learned about acting is that it needs to be mysterious. If you over think how a beat needs to be played, it can trip you up. Because you're trying to do something that is real and sincere in the moment, so that people believe you. There are times when you just have to put yourself as deeply and firmly in a character's shoes as you can."

These are photos of Kate Winslet last night in Madrid, where she accepted an award for her humanitarian work (?) at the Yo Dona International Awards. Winslet?s dress is Victoria Beckham! Now only is it Beckham, it?s two-year-old Beckham! It?s from the 2009 collection. So either Winslet didn?t care and she just wanted to wear what she thought was a pretty dress, OR she didn?t really care enough about this event to find something new. As for the dress - I?d like it on her at a December premiere. It?s way too covered-up for Madrid in June, I think.
She might have been awarded for her humanitarian work last night but Kate Winslet also got full marks in the style stakes too. The British actress, 35, looked extremely elegant as she arrived at the Yo Dona International Awards in Madrid last night.
Kate was dressed in a floor-length black Victoria Beckham dress which boasted an embellished detail above the waist to accept her award for her humanitarian work at the award ceremony held at Palacio de Cristal de Arganzuela.
The actress was dressed in the simple yet stylish dress from Mrs Beckham’s AW 2009 collection. And her enviable figure was on display in the Lescot body skimming dress in black with a slash neck, defined shoulders, and ring embroidery waist detail.
Kate teamed the archive ensemble with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels and carried a hard clutch bag by Judith Leiber. She finished off her look with an elegant ponytail and a pair of dangling Tiffany & Co. earrings.
As well as being awarded an award for her humanitarian efforts it was announced that the Titanic actress is also among the stars who will be awarded a star on Hollywood?s Walk Of Fame next year.

Yes, it was just announced a short while ago that Winslet is one of the honorees for this year?s Walk of Fame, a list that includes Jennifer Aniston, Vin Diesel, Scarlett Johansson, Richard Burton (posthumous) and Jennifer Lopez. It?s said that the studios and publicists organize who will get a star and when, and that the stars or the studios are actually paying for their stars. My point? It?s not so much an ?honor? as just another way to promote your film. But still, congrats to Winslet.
