The ?Modern Family? stunner posted a photo via Instagram along with the message, ?Happy 1st Anniversary love of my life!!! Never been so happy!! #lucky @joemanganiello.?
Sofia and Joe got engaged on Christmas Day during a holiday in Hawaii after having begun their relationship on June 14th, 2014. They held an official engagement party at the SoHo House in Los Angeles back in May.

The ?Modern Family? starlet posed alongside Scott Wolf, JoBeth Williams and Brendan Fehr as the SAG Foundation?s 6th Annual Los Angeles Golf Classic got underway, looking stylish in a black and blue getup teamed with gold snakeskin platform heels.
Vergara was honored with the inaugural Actors Inspiration Award and SAG president JoBeth Williams announced, ?Sofia?s support for our programs, commitment to children?s literacy and generous charitable giving embody the spirit of this award.?

She?s never short on sex appeal, and Sofia Vergara is featured on the front of the Summer 2015 issue of Cosmo for Latinas.
The ?Hot Pursuit? babe chatted about starting a family with fianc Joe Manganiello- ?When you?re with somebody that hasn?t had kids, and you want to start a relationship, of course there?s always that question. And if it happens, it will be something that will make us very happy, but it?s not a priority in our lives.?
Ms. Vergara also lamented the difficulty many Latina actresses experience in Hollywood- ?There aren?t as many roles for Latinas as we would want there to be, but we shouldn?t be complaining because a Latin girl just won a Golden Globe, a Latin director just won an Oscar. We should be very happy that there are people out there who are doing things and being recognized.?

I have a renewed respect for Sofia Vergara with the way she?s handling the Nick Loeb situation. Loeb is SO THIRSTY. Loeb is currently suing Sofia, his ex-fiance, for ?custody? of the embryos they created while they were together. Loeb has also been waging an uncomfortably stalkerish campaign against Sofia in the press, basically accusing her of being an awful person because she didn?t and doesn?t want to have babies with him and he?s come thisclose to accusing her of child abandonment because she simply wants to their mutually-agreed-upon contract to be honored.
Earlier this week, Sofia appeared on Howard Stern?s show and of course Stern asked her about the situation. I?m paraphrasing, but Sofia was basically like ?We have a valid contract and why doesn?t he just make a baby with someone else?? Then today, Sofia appeared on a pre-taped Good Morning America interview. And she goes even harder.
Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb squared off on the morning talk shows Thursday in their battle over their frozen embryos ? with the Modern Family actress labeling her ex-fianc an opportunist and Loeb claiming he just wants protect two lives that “have already been created.”
Vergara, 42, told Good Morning America that the embryos are a non-story, legally speaking, and she criticized Loeb, 39 ? and the press ? for bringing a private matter into the public eye.
“I’ve been working very hard for 20 years to get to this point where I am,” she said. “I promote all my movies, all my work, but I don’t like promoting my private life. And I don’t want to allow this person to take more advantage of my career and try to promote himself and get press for this.”
She seemed dumbfounded about why Loeb is getting any press ? much less a New York Times op-ed ? about the matter. The two signed an agreement, after all, that both must consent in order to bring to term the embryos they created together when they were a couple in 2013.
“Why is the press allowing somebody to invent things and create press for himself?” she asked. “He’s not an actor. He’s not a celebrity. It’s like, why?” She added: “This shouldn’t be out there for people to give their opinion when there’s nothing to talk about. There’s papers signed ? I don’t understand why the media is allowing a person to just try to put me down, and make it like something is happening when nothing is happening.”
On Today, meanwhile, Loeb said he never believed Vergara “was going to change her mind” about the embryos, and that he’d be happy to raise the kids as a single father.
“It has nothing to do with whether it’s her baby or a baby,” he said. “Lives were already created … I wouldn’t toss them aside.”
He’s not asking Vergara to take financial responsibility for the children, he added. “I’ve offered to her to waive all financial responsibilities,” he said. “I want these children to have the best lives possible ? There’s nothing more that I want to do than bring these children to life.”
In closing, both of them claimed they’re not overly bitter about what’s happening.
“I think Sofia is a wonderful, wonderful woman,” Loeb said. “I don’t hate her at all.”
For her part, Vergara mentioned how happy she is with Joe Manganiello, and how blessed she is to have such a successful career. “I’m not sad. I’m grateful,” she said. “I have to enjoy what I’m living right now.”

God, Loeb is such a manipulative, craven tool. And Sofia is ? I feel ? reading the situation correctly. There?s a valid contract. The end. Except the whole story has become a toxic blend of celebrity, politics, reproductive law, and media bias. Loeb wants it that way too, because this whole thing feels like he?s trying to ?punish? Sofia for breaking up with him. It?s gross. And I?m glad she?s standing up for herself.

She?s always up for a challenge, and Sofia Vergara had a blast promoting her new movie ?Hot Pursuit? in New York City last night (May 5).
The gorgeous Columbian actress was in the house for ?The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon? and ended up in the middle of a game called ?Catchphrase.?
Joined by James Marsden and Steve Higgins, Sofia and Jimmy teamed up and fed each other clues, however Vergara couldn?t quite describe ?birthday suit? well enough to help Fallon guess correctly. Check the clip!

Here are some more photos of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello at the Met Gala on Monday. I think he came to NYC to be with Sofia during her publicity tour for Hot Pursuit, plus he wanted to escort her to the Met Gala. I think that?s their dynamic, at least I hope that?s their dynamic. I want to believe that Joe is very much a ?You do what you want for your career and I?ll support you every step of the way? kind of guy. Unlike Sofia?s ex, Nick Loeb.
As we discussed last week, Nick Loeb wrote a New York Times op-ed about his lawsuit against Sofia. He wants custody of the two embryos they created together, because he believes ?life begins at fertilization? and he wants to implant the embryos into a gestational carrier and raise the babies himself. Sofia is fine with the embryos remaining frozen. Loeb?s op-ed was particularly crazy, and seemed very much like an attempt to publicly manipulate and humiliate his ex-fiance. Up until this point, Sofia has only released one official statement (her publicist has leaked a few tabloid stories though). But on Monday, Sofia appeared on the Howard Stern show and of course Stern asked her about everything. Here?s the audio ? the Loeb stuff starts around the 38:30 mark. (Some minor NSFW language.)
Sofia said that didn?t read Loeb?s NYT op-ed, and when asked about Loeb?s lawsuit, she says it ?makes no sense? and a child ?needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don’t hate each other?I don’t hate him but he obviously has a problem with me! A kid needs parents. I wouldn’t imagine anyone saying that it’s sane to bring to the world kids that are already set up, everything wrong for them. It would be so selfish.”
When asked about the legal standing Loeb has, Sofia just sort of shrugs it off, saying, “There is law. You signed papers, legal papers, and if it was so serious for him, this issue ? which I totally respect it is serious for someone ? then you should have taken it more serious at the time like I did?there is a contract.? She explains it in more detail and says she isn?t worried about a judge siding with Loeb because their two contracts (they did it twice, after all) are completely valid.

Another day, another rant about Marchesa. Three ladies chose to wear Marchesa to the Met Gala, and I hope they?re all regretting that decision. Let?s start with Sofia Vergara. Here?s what I don?t understand: if you?re not going to do anything with the theme, at least wear an interesting dress or a pretty dress or something incredibly flattering. Sofia?s Marchesa is ill-fitting, unflattering and flat-out cheap-looking. This looks like a wedding dress from 1995.
I actually think the idea behind Poppy Delevingne?s Marchesa was on-point. Deep red and black, an explosion of poppies for the top with an elegant full skirt. But the execution leaves something to be desired. Am I hallucinating or do the poppies not match the skirt? It seems like the red of the poppies are a few shades lighter than the skirt. Plus, everything just looks cheap. Like a child?s art project.
And here?s Ellie Goulding in Marchesa. I could see wearing this to a music awards show. But the Met Gala? Eh. I don?t know if there are any Goulding-loonies out there, but I think everything about Ellie is pretty overrated.
And here?s Sofia?s costar Reese Witherspoon in Jason Wu. This dress doesn?t have anything to do with the theme, but it?s a pretty/boring dress by a Chinese-American designer, so I guess that works. I think everything about this is ?safe.? Of course, I wasn?t expecting Reese to wear a crazy flame headpiece, but she could have mixed it up a little bit more. This just looks like what she would wear to an awards show.
