Sofia Vergara brought her usual look to the Golden Globes red carpet last night. She wore a slinky black mermaid dress by Michael Cinco, and she stated, “He’s a new designer for me, I’ve never heard of him. But I saw the dress. Usually I try to stay away from black but I thought it was amazing.” Sure, Sofia looks amazing here, but she looks like she always does. I hate to sound like a downer, but Sofia does this type of dress — the same exact bustline with sequins and a mermaid or fish tail — all the time. So yes, she’s beautiful but very boring once again. I’d love for her to try out something new and adventurous (for her).
Sofia’s accessories also fit with her usual shtick. The diamonds are by Lorraine Schwartz, and the flat-ironed hair and makeup all scream “Sofia!” It’s one thing to have a distinctive style, but I’d love to see her in a short, fun dress with strappy sandals, a dearth of flashy diamonds, and a cute bracelet with understated makeup and cascading curls. Just anything besides the usual Sofia look.
Julianne Hough looked like Rumpelstiltskin vomited all over the king’s daughter’s poufy white ball gown. This is a Monique Lhuillier number that is just way too dramatic (especially with that eye makeup), but Julianne really thought it looked great on the rack: “I have got to wear that.” She completed the look with a Ferragamo clutch, and jewelry made from an actual carob beatle and stick insect. Gross. Also, her hair looks like “The Miley” without the haircut.
Olivia Munn wore a strapless Giorgio Armani dress that looked like separates but was really just one unfortunate piece. The top part of the dress is almost fully encrusted with turquoise on top of navy, and to me, this is a pretty unflattering look. Oliva should have gone with a sleeker dress. She accessorized with an Armani clutch and heels as well plus a Chopard choker necklace, which are all very meh to me. Her face also looks really shiny and frozen. Too much botox, baby.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus wore a Vera Wang ball gown that made her seem a lot larger than her actual size. Acutally, I think this was a Very Wang organza tablecloth. Does Vera do house decor? Well, she certainly has an eye for it from the looks of this awful dress. Julia’s makeup also looks really washed out.
Nicole Richie confuses me. She wore a powder blue Naeem Kaan dress that was very demure in comparison to those trashy years that she was better known as Paris Hilton’s unfortunate sidekick. To be certain, I do appreciate the grown-up attitude that Nicole has adopted, but this dress is just strange on her. It would have looked okay with blonde hair, but the caramel brown locks and the day-glo makeup make this whole outfit look a little bit drag queeny. No offense to drag queens. Some of them have great style.

After their allegedly wild NYE night, Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb spent Wednesday afternoon (January 2) lounging on the beaches of Miami, FL.
The 40-year-old actress showed off her enviable assets in a black one-piece with a bright teal sarong as she read a mag with her hubby-to-be.
In recent news, the couple reportedly faced a confrontation at a night club in South Beach during a New Year?s Eve celebration.
Nick got into an alleged argument with the party?s host Chris Paciello, whom also happens to be Sofia?s ex.
An insider stated, ?Sofia stepped in to try to calm the situation, but somehow she ended up getting pushed and shoved also. Her strapless dress was torn or pulled down in front of other people and her son Manolo who was so offended he left the club. It was crazy.?

I?m really not one to play into stereotypes about Latinas, but dear God, is Sofia Vergara a major drama queen or what? I like Sofia a lot ? and I would like her a lot more if she would dump her fianc Nick Loeb, who seems like the biggest tool in the toolbox of life. But I have to admit, Sofia seems to enable his douche drama, and perhaps she even thrives on his drama and the drama they create together. Is Sofia even capable of being a normal guy who isn?t into crazy partying and clubbing and luxury vacations and stuff? Probably not. Anyway, here?s what went down with Sofia and Nick over New Year?s:
Sofia Vergara and her fianc, Nick Loeb, got into a New Year?s Eve fight while clubbing in Miami ? which ended with her dress ripped down and him being thrown out by security. Loeb began arguing with the Colombian-born beauty in front of revelers at hot new Miami club Story, where they were being hosted by nightlife king Chris Paciello, whom Vergara dated in the late ?90s.
Witnesses exclusively tell us that Loeb later got into a dispute with a group at a nearby table. A scuffle started, and security grabbed him and threw him out of the club?s back door with Vergara ? TV?s highest-paid and most popular actress ? following behind.
A spy said: ?Nick seemed tense around Chris, who was hosting them in the VIP section, even though he and Sofia are just friends. In the early hours, Nick and Sofia were arguing before he got into a dispute with somebody at a neighboring table. Some pushing and shoving started.
?Sofia stepped in to try to calm the situation, but somehow she ended up getting pushed and shoved also. Her strapless dress was torn or pulled down in the melee, exposing her cleavage in front of other people and her son Manolo who was so offended he left the club. It was crazy.?
Our source continued, ?Nick was pulled away from Sofia and those at the next table by security guards, who dragged him out of the VIP section and threw him out of the club. Sofia followed him.?
Another source adds, ?Things got pretty heated, but she was never hit. Nick was pretty bruised from struggling with security. None of the drama was Sofia?s fault, but despite the big scene [Loeb] created, they made up outside the club, and she took him back to their hotel.?
Earlier in the night the couple were all smiles, as Vergara did the midnight countdown at Miami?s luxe Delano hotel.
?Modern Family? star Vergara and Loeb, who considered a 2010 run for Florida?s Senate, briefly split last May, but they reconciled weeks later. They were engaged in July. A rep for Vergara declined to comment; Loeb didn?t get back to us.

Here?s the subtext that I deciphered: Nick was pissed off because Sofia was flirting with ?nightlife king Chris Paciello,? and instead of refusing to engage in Sofia?s self-perpetuating drama, Nick engaged, which was just what Sofia wanted. Nick went around, causing fights and yelling and being a drama queen, which was just what Sofia wanted. It got so bad that Sofia tatas came flying out, which was fine with her because why not? And then when they got kicked out, Sofia took Nick back to the hotel and they had wild, post-brawl makeup sex. Basically, the whole club brawl was their foreplay.

Flying solo, Sofia Vergara was spotted catching a flight at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Friday (December 7).
The "Modern Family" star looked stylish in a white sweater, black coat, black leggings, black boots with a leopard-print scarf, and sunglasses as she made her way through the busy terminal.
Recently, the 40-year-old actress has been bi-coastal, traveling as her film "Fading Gigolo" is being shot in New York City.
In the film, Sofia plays the bisexual love interest of Sharon Stone. However, fans will have to use their imaginations. She explains to Extra, "No lesbian loving... somebody I don?t know thought it was more interesting to write, 'Oh, Sharon Stone and Sofia Vergara, they have to have like a lesbian scene.'"

According to a National Enquirer source, "Nick wants to have a baby with Sofia, but he doesn?t want her to lose her gorgeous shape. He also doesn?t want to sideline her from earning money."

Gearing up for another day on the job, Sofia Vergara showed up to film ?Modern Family?in Long Beach, California yesterday afternoon (November 15).
As she strolled out to the set, Ms. Vergara donned a fake pregnant belly and laughed at a crew member?s joke while shutterbugs peeped from a nearby perch.
Earlier this month, Sofia gushed about the St. Jude?s Children?s Hospital Thanks and Giving Campaign, of which she is a part this year.
"There is no place like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and to be a part of this year's St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign is humbling and inspiring. As a mother and a cancer survivor, I am touched that St. Jude's research and treatment strives to save every child battling cancer and other deadly childhood diseases across America and around the world."
