Closing out the weekend on the red carpet, Keira Knightley turned up for the Jameson Empire Awards 2011 in London, England today (March 27).
Held at the Grosvenor House, the English actress quickly joined up with gal pal Lily Cole as the pair worked the press area ahead of the annual tribute to the best in film.
Having celebrated her 26th birthday the previous day, Miss Knightley is gearing up for a trip to the States to screen her upcoming movie "Last Night" at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.
Co-starring Sam Worthington and Eva Mendes, the Massy Tadjedin directed picture is a romantic drama that "follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he's attracted. While he's resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love."

She?s been laying low as of late, but Keira Knightley is about to appear in a new short film from Chanel called ?Coco Mademoiselle.?
The ?Pirates of the Caribbean? babe will play the title role- a modern-day CoCo Chanel whose mystery, daring and rebelliousness are at the heart of her charm- as she promotes the scent of the same name.
Keira told press, "For me, Gabrielle Chanel is an icon and there was an incredible power emanating from all the photos of her. When I began to delve into her history more closely, I was obviously fascinated by her immense talent as a designer, but more than that, by her singular background."
Additionally, Ms. Knightley will also be making her American television debut as the voice of Tinker Bell in the upcoming SyFy four-hour miniseries ?Neverland.?

Looking as if she may have already moved on in the romance department, Keira Knightley enjoyed a date night in London on Saturday evening (February 5).
The newly-single actress was spotted leaving a cocktail club in London's China Town while clasping onto the arm of an unidentified male pal.
The sighting comes just after it was revealed that Miss Knightley had ended her longterm relationship with now ex-beau, Rupert Friend.
Keira is currently busy in the UK while appearing in the West End production of "The Children's Hour".

Keira Knightley is the cover girl for the March issue of Elle UK, likely to promote one or both of her winter releases, London Boulevard and Never Let Me Go. For the Elle shoot, Keira seems to have been styled and photographed by hot bitch Tom Ford, although I would never be able to tell. When I think of Tom Ford styling and photography, I think of glitzy, sexy, just-got-nailed kind of vibes. Keira does not look glitzy or sexy, she just looks bored and hungry, neither of which reads ?sexy? to me. Anyway, the interview excerpts are slightly better than the photo shoot. Keira seems to be trying to explain her squirrelly attitude with her ?shy? personality. Sure. And Natalie Portman?s bitchface is just the way she looks naturally.
Keira Knightley is a nightmare party guest - the actress insists she is “paralysed with shyness” when chatting with strangers. The Pirates of the Caribbean star admits she is hopeless at socialising since she began making movies as a young girl and missed out on spending time with people her own age.
She tells Britain’s Elle magazine, “I had an amazing time (starring in films), it was extraordinary, but the difference was between my age and experience. I’d experienced a lot, work-wise, but as far as normal progression… I’d never sat in pubs with friends, I’d never been out clubbing. Any of the things you normally do at uni, I’d bypassed. So on one level I was very grown-up and on another level with the whole social thing, I was really far behind.”
Now Knightley dreads attending parties - because she struggles to make conversation and ends up looking like an “ice queen”.
She adds, “Going into a room full of people at a party I find one of the most terrifying things in the entire world. I normally last about 10 minutes. I’m a complete failure. I went to one the other day. Standing in the corner, couldn’t find anything to say, just ran out. Awful. My friends are like, ‘What are you - an idiot? What’s the matter with you?’ I just can’t. I get completely paralysed with shyness, just totally paralysed. One of my friends was like, ‘You turn into an ice queen. What is it? You just turn into a b***h.’ And I don’t mean to look like a b***h, but I just don’t know what to say. This is the problem with a shy person being famous.”
Keira also refuses to keep a TV in her house because she’s convinced she would become an addict if she had access to reality shows. She says she prefers to read or sketch, and is even considering cutting off her internet connection to ensure she makes the most of her free time.
She tells Britain’s Elle magazine, “Do you know what it is? It’s that I’m the laziest f**ker in the entire world. It’s true. And stagnation is always really, really imminent. I can literally just sit and not do anything for hours and hours and hours and if there is something completely mind-numbing to do, like surfing the internet or watching cr**py TV, I’ll do it and then I’ll feel s**t about myself. So I try and get rid of it.”
Knightley now counts TV as a guilty pleasure, and admits she is fascinated by U.K. ballroom dance competition Strictly Come Dancing.
She adds, “A lot of my friends don’t have TVs either. It might be spreading. But what’s nice is that when I do see it, it’s such a treat. I did a photoshoot in Cornwall recently and a friend of mine was on the shoot and we literally just sat in my room watching Strictly Come Dancing. We were like, ‘This is amazing.’ We were talking about that for weeks afterwards.”

Do I buy that Keira?s ?shyness? is the reason for her squirrelly behavior, her reticence, or even her out-right bitchiness? In part, yes, but I also think she?s probably pretty bitchy in general. Which I don?t judge her for. I would only encourage her to find a way to balance her natural ?shyness? with a more professional attitude. I mean, if she doesn?t want to promote her work, so be it. But that means no more Tom Ford-styled shoots, no more mouthing off to journalists, no more snotty attitude. Just shut it down, or work to find a balance.
As far as the television thing - I was like that, years ago, in my youth. I want through a period of time when I barely watched TV, and when I did, it was such a special occasion, I would just sit there, amazed. Of course, now I love television.

These are photos of Keira Knightley leaving a London theatre last night - she and Mad Men?s Elisabeth Moss are doing a play together, The Children?s Hour. Keira looks okay, doesn?t she? I mean, she doesn?t look like she?s been wallowing in tears, meth and ice cream since her split with Rupert Friend. Good for her. In addition to this play, Keira has also signed on for a new film? starring Robert Pattinson. She?ll be playing the Sparkly love interest, which is sure to make her a target of Twihard hate.
Keira Knightley will star alongside Robert Pattinson in ‘Cosmopolis’. The British actress will play the 24-year-old star’s love interest in the David Cronenberg-directed film, based the Don DeLillo novel.
The pair are expected to get up close and personal with each other in the film, which shows 24 hours in the life of a billionaire financier who squanders his fortune and his new wife.
An insider said: “Keira will get to do a lot of smooching with Rob. Some of the scenes are going to be pretty steamy.”
Marion Cotillard was originally lined up for the film’s single female role - but now Keira, 25, is on board in the movie’s second big casting change after Irish star Colin Farrell backed out earlier this year.
Director David has nothing but praise for his new leading lady.
He said: “Keira is a brilliant actress. She blew everyone away. She’s a real heavy dude. She’s as good as anyone I’ve worked with. You don’t realise it until you start to actually work with somebody.”
‘Cosmopolis’ will be Robert’s first major film after completing ‘The Twilight Saga’, in which he plays vampire Edward Cullen. He will next be seen on screen in ‘Water for Elephants’, starring alongside Reese Witherspoon in the Francis Lawrence-directed adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel.

Here?s why it?s funny - unlike many of the other ladies Sparkles has rumored to be eyeing over the years (CHEATING ON BELLA), I actually think that Sparkles and Keira would actually enjoy each other?s company. He has a type - he loves squirrelly sourpusses (K-Stew), and she loves pretty boys (Rupert Friend). This could be really, really good. Like, epic in ?Twihard meltdown CODE RED? enjoyment.

Keeping herself busy now that she's a single lady, Keira Knightley was spotted leaving the Comedy Theatre in London, England on Monday night (January 24).
The "Atonement" actress took a moment to pose for pictures after finishing up another stage effort for the play 'The Misanthrope'.
Having just recently announced her breakup with longtime beau Rupert Friend, Miss Knightley has also taken on a new role opposite Robert Pattinson in the movie "Cosmopolis".
The brunette beauty replaces Marion Cotillard in the picture being directed by David Cronenberg about "a multimillionaire asset manager who loses his fortune in 24 hours."

It?s no secret that mixing fame and romance is tricky business, and Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend have decided to call time on their relationship.
The ?Pride & Prejudice? costars had been dating for five years before splitting up shortly before the Christmas holiday.
Keira?s dad Will told press, ?Yes, they have broken up. But that?s the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things.?
He continued, ?They were together for quite a long time and it is always hard breaking up. She is focused on her work.?

Well, it looks like the random reports just before Christmas were true - Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend have broken up after more than five years together. Looks like that British sourcing (Richard Kay) was right on, like I said. Also? is this why Keira seems to squirrelly lately? Probably. Or it could be something else entirely. Anyway, Keira?s dad confirmed the sad news of the breakup to media outlets:
MOVIE beauty Keira Knightley has split from her actor love RUPERT FRIEND after five years. The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 25, was left heartbroken even though the decision to end the relationship was mutual.
Keira’s father Will Knightley said: “Yes, they have broken up. But that’s the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things.”
Mr Knightley added at the family home in Richmond, South West London: “They were together for quite a long time and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”
Keira met Rupert, 29, in 2005 on a screen adaptation of classic story Pride and Prejudice.
She became the most bankable British actress in America with Oscar and BAFTA nominations, a modelling contract with Chanel and an estimated 30million fortune.
But the pressure of being constantly in the public eye finally took its toll on the couple. Cracks started to appear in mid-December. Rupert arrived without Keira at the London Coliseum gala production of The Nutcracker. He took his mother Caroline instead.
The couple split after a heart-to-heart before Christmas. They had seemed to have a fairytale relationship with a London home overlooking Hyde Park.
But a pal said: “Rupert hates the idea of being followed and photographed. Keira partially had to accept it because of her rising profile. It affected the harmony in the relationship. The pressure took its toll and both decided they should go their separate ways. They will remain life-long friends.”
Keira has theatre work and two movies planned.

Yeah, Rupert has been getting more and more work lately, and he?s becoming an in-demand actor in his own right. But I doubt competition for the public?s attention is the reason for the split - obviously, Keira doesn?t care about it. She?s surly about getting any attention whatsoever. Which makes it very strange that her dad was the one to talk to the press - was he selling her out (doubtful) or did she authorize him to speak on her behalf? Why? Why couldn?t Keira?s publicist just offer a brief confirmation of the split and be done with it? I get that Keira ?hates? the press, but if she wants to be ignored, perhaps she could manage this stuff a bit better.

These photos are from a new pictorial Keira Knightley did for Vogue Italia, likely to promote Never Let Me Go in Europe. Keira never fails to photograph beautifully, and I like many of these images. I have to admit, though, ever since LaineyGossip wrote this piece, I?ve been wondering if Keira is due some scandalous story, and in these photos, I?m thinking the ?scandal? may be drugs. She just? I don?t know. It?s not like a Brooke Mueller situation, but if you told me that Keira was a cokehead, I would believe you.
More evidence that something?s up with her - check out this interview Keira did with The Telegraph. The writer is trying to be honest with what a spectacular pill Keira was, and she just seems so, so squirrelly. The full piece is here, and here are some of the highlights:
On sex scenes: ‘It?s a consensual thing,? she says in her head girl?s voice. ‘You say what you?re comfortable with and everybody?s incredibly respectful. Certainly not what happens on a press day.? She shoots me a dagger.
On the story line of Never Let Me Go: When I mention that I?ve been having strange dreams since seeing the film ? a haunting story set in an appalling (and frighteningly plausible) alternative reality ? she tells me, ‘You?re the third person who?s said that today.?
Keira on her relationship with Carey Mulligan: She and Mulligan are close friends in real life, which made shooting the vicious scenes between their characters a challenge. ‘I just kept on having to say, ?I?m so sorry,?? says Knightley. ‘And she?d be like,? she adopts a soothing tone, ‘?It?s all right. It?s just pretend. It?s fine.?
On taking smaller roles: ‘That was a choice,? she says. ‘I worked solidly from the age of 16 to 22 without a holiday. And then at 22 I took a year off ? which was needed! And since then it?s been supporting roles. I mean, time off in between is important; it was quite mental at one point.?
On being a child actor: The young Keira auditioned constantly ? ‘Some kids did karate, I went to auditions? ? including four fruitless attempts at the BBC One series Casualty. ‘They were humiliating,? Knightley says with feeling. ‘You walk in a room and they obviously think you?re s?. So you walk out again. I mean the rejection level of anyone who does anything like that? It is quite a savage process.?
On whether Keira and Rupert Friend are still together: Her boyfriend of five years, the actor Rupert Friend, apparently gave out batches of her gluten-free brownies on the set of his latest film, The Kid. It?s a very cosy, wifely image: sending your partner out to work with your foil-wrapped home-cooking in his knapsack. So I ask her, as she?s telling me how therapeutic it is to make melanzane alla parmigiana, if she and Friend now live together. ‘I don?t talk about my boyfriend,? she snaps, as fast and as sudden as a trapdoor slamming shut. ‘Not answering anything about it.? A moment passes in which she looks at me as though I?ve just asked the head of MI5 if I can have a go on his computer. ?Definitely not answering that. No!? she exclaims with a big, angry laugh.

Obviously, if she doesn?t want to answer any questions about her personal life, she doesn?t have to. I don?t even have a problem with her way of shooting down questions about her personal life, although she might stop to think that journalists have their job, just the same as her, and it wouldn?t hurt her to be a bit more professional. But it seems like she was just in a horrendous mood for this interview. Or maybe it?s something worse.
Oh, and I do think Keira and Rupert probably split up. Eh.
