Getting down to business, Mischa Barton was spotted filming scenes for her new show “The Beautiful Life” in New York City today (August 11).
The “O.C.” actress looked to be in fine form as she worked on the Manhattan set, looking fresh-faced and healthy and sporting a white blouse with light-wash distressed jeans and black leather boots.
The sight of Miss Barton back to work is a welcome one for her fans who feared she was going off the deep end last month.
Mischa spent a sizable amount of time under psychiatric care in July after admitting herself to a medical facility for a nervous breakdown.

Ohhhhh Mischa. Poor crazy, skinny fat girl. Your world is all upended. You’re skinny, yet you can get a double chin that would please a Rubenesque painter. You have a skinny little behind, yet you still have copious amounts of cellulite. You get 5150?d against your will. I’m troubled, dear flower child, that you will do yourself some serious harm that would stop the release of your upcoming show, “The Beautiful Life”, of which this is the first I’ve heard about, so that can’t be a good sign, but I’d like to believe you could be in a show that I’d remotely care about, and since this one is about you being a model turned drug addict, I really believe you could pull it off, because I’m really a nice person at heart and don’t want it to bomb and send you into an even deeper spiral of crazy and do something dreadful like off yourself, because then we couldn’t write about you anymore. But I guess that makes me not so much a guileless, kind soul, but more like a heartless guttersnipe. But let’s not squabble about semantics. Let’s have a chat sometime, okay?

Looking sexy in a sparkly ensemble, Mischa Barton prepared for an official photo shoot to promote her latest TV venture, “The Beautiful Life,” on Monday (August 10).
The 23-year-old actress, who was admitted to hospital last month on what was reported to be an involuntary psychiatric hold, will play a model turned-drug addict in the teen drama.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Barton was able to fit in a little relaxation over the course of the weekend.
The former “OC” star bonded with costar Ashley Madekwe, as the pair walked Mischa’s puppy on a walk through the West Village.

Enjoying the lovely summertime weather, Mischa Barton was spotted out and about in New York City yesterday afternoon (August 9).
The “O.C.” cutie was joined by her pooch pal as well as her “The Beautiful Life” costar Ashley Madekwe and her puppy as she made her way through the West Village.
Always looking her best, Miss Barton was sporting a black scoopneck top teamed with a leopard print skirt and a black hat.
Mischa is back to work on her new CW gig after dealing with some psychological drama that landed her in a clinic for most of July.

Friends are still very worried for Mischa Barton after the actress was recently released from the hospital, where she was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold.
While she’s already back to work, Mischa’s pals feel she is on “the verge of another breakdown.”
“There still are issues,” a source said. “Mischa’s just not herself at all. I think she’s gone back to work too soon.”
Barton is shooting her upcoming TV show, “The Beautiful Life,” and costars and publicists feel that she is well and handling things just fine. However, friends are seeing things on a very different level.
“She’s on the verge of another breakdown — one I think could be even more serious than the last one. … She cries for no reason.”

Maintaining her active lifestyle while in the Big Apple, Mischa Barton was spotted hitting up Equinox gym for a workout earlier today (August 6).
The “O.C.” starlet looked sporty as she left the fitness center with a girlfriend and headed over to Sephora for some shopping before catching a cab and heading home.
As for the rumors that things are a bit rocky between Barton and the producers on her new gig “The Beautiful Life,” series creator Ashton Kutcher says nothing could be farther from the truth.
He explained, “Mischa was never unavailable for a day of work...Mischa’s in New York working today. Her role is very prominent. She’s one of our lead players.
Kutcher continued, “The great thing about Mischa for this show is we have a lot of young cast. She’s done it before. On The O.C. she was one of the leads in this big soap opera.”

Per Page Six, Mischa Barton is back to being weird. On Saturday night, Barton had a “disastrous dinner” at Sant Ambroeus. “She was upset and talking frantically into her phone about having a stalker. Her friends were trying to console her, but she went outside and chain-smoked cigarettes.”
Mischa must have been thrilled someone would actually follow her boring ass around town. She was probably calling her other friends to tell them how popular she is. Odds are it’s not even a real stalker either. It’s really just AT&T calling about long distance service. That conversation must be confusing as hell for them.
Mischa: “Stop calling me. How did you get this number?!”
AT&T: “We have it on file.”
Mischa: “You’re sick. You’re sick! Stop stalking me!”

Having just been released from a psych ward, you’d think that Mischa Barton would be trying to sound sane. But you’d be wrong.
The “O.C.” actress was overheard raving about having a stalker while out at a night club in New York City’s West Village over the weekend.
An eyewitness told press, “She was upset and talking frantically into her phone about having a stalker. Her friends were trying to console her, but she went outside and chain-smoked cigarettes.”
A gal pal told press, “Mischa needs more aggressive treatment over a long period of time. It’s only been a matter of days since she was released from the hospital, and I think she definitely wasn’t there long enough. She needs to be very cautious — she’s at a very big risk. I personally think it’s a bad idea to go back [to the set of her new show ‘The Beautiful Life’] this quickly, given her past history with substance abuse.”

Ever since Mischa Barton got out of the psyche ward, she’s never stopped smiling. Not even when wearing a certified crazy outfit like this at a party in NYC last night. This is what those friendly ladies wear on that street corner next to your house.
The fact that she has a perma-grin makes this all the more disturbing. Like she’s planning something and wants to make sure we don’t catch on by pretending everything is fine.
Serial killers have the exact same expression just after they invite you into their house lined with plastic and just before they take out the axe hidden behind their back.
Can anyone explain this picture? It looks like Mischa peed herself.
