Gearing up for an outbound flight, Carrie Underwood was spotted at JFK International Airport today (May 2).
The ?Good Girl? songstress looked cute and casual in a grey sweatshirt with jeans as she carried her massive handbag into the terminal.
Carrie?s new album Blown Away hit stores yesterday, and she told press that the new songs will definitely be material her listeners can relate to.
"There are some definite sweeter songs on the album, but I think the ones that are most impactful are the ones that are...the more drama[tic] songs. It's fun to play a character. It's fun to not be me all the time. I am in a wonderful relationship. I have a great home life...If I had 14 tracks on the album talking about how wonderful my life is...it's boring."

Continuing forth with her full day of promotions, Carrie Underwood was spotted making her arrival to the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on Monday afternoon (April 30).
Smiling for the cameras, the blonde beauty prepared for her appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" dressed in a sheer silver-blocked top, adding a pair of gorgeous tan peek-a-boo heels to her ensemble while tweeting, ?Can't believe the big day is almost here! I'm happy, nervous and excited! "Blown Away" is out tomorrow!?
The 29-year-old songstress is set to perform on the concert webcast series, ?Live on Letterman,? at 7 p.m. and later on the ?Late Show,? where she will sing her newest single ?Blown Away? to prepare for her records? release tomorrow (May 1).
Fans can tune in to the webcast to watch Miss Underwood perform that along with other hits including the single ?Good Girl".

Just days away from her new album's release, Carrie Underwood paid a visit to SiriusXM Studio in New York City earlier today (April 27).
The 29-year-old country singer looked fetching in a floral-printed mini skirt, cowgirl boots, multi-chain pendant necklace & white eyelet sweater as she tossed on a pair of headphones and got situated in her chair for the sitdown interview.
As for Miss Underwood's upcoming studio effort, "Blown Away? is all set to drop on May 1st - and Carrie recently spoke with ABC News about a range of topics including one of her new tracks titled ?Forever Changed.?
Revealing that the love song reminds her of her grandmother?s death, a teary-eyed Underwood said, ?I get emotional even talking about this song to be honest. It?s just beautiful. It just becomes very real? and I remember my grandmother at the end of her life, looking at my dad and thinking that that was my grandfather.?
?I can never sing this song, like on stage in front of people. I could barely get through it in the studio,? she added.

It was about a year and a half ago that country star Carrie Underwood, 29, very clearly said that she wasn’t planning for a baby with her husband, hockey star Mike Fisher. (I always want to call him Mike Comrie, but that’s Hilary Duff’s hockey playing husband!) She said back then that “We just want to be together and keep it as simple as possible. And I think a baby would just make things so complicated right now.” (She also said that should doesn’t do Twitter, but she’s since joined up.) Well Carrie is still sticking with her sentiment about babies at least. She just told E! News that both she and her husband are so busy that they couldn’t be responsible for a child. She also called her dogs her babies, and then got embarrassed and corrected herself. It was cute! She explained that it’s easy to leave her pups at the doggie day care for a couple of days when she needs to go out of town. It’s been almost two years since Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher got hitched, and sorry, but with a good-looking couple like that?we want to see some babies! (Is it so wrong of us to try to dictate how celebs live their lives?)
So is it time for some little humans?
Nope, not yet.
The country-singin’ diva hung out with E! News and told us, “We’re both so busy and it would be weird to have that much?you know, there’s another person depending on you.”
But even though the duo aren’t planning to expand their family just yet, they definitely seem to have nailed the married life. And according to Underwood, part of the secret is to give each other some time apart.
“It’s so nice to miss him, and it’s so nice to be happy every time I see him. And, you know, we really cherish the time we have together.”

I really like it when celebrities admit that they’re not ready for or planning on kids for whatever reason. Zooey Deschanel did that recently and I found it so mature and thoughtful on her part. It’s in no way more or less admirable than having kids, I don’t mean to suggest that. It just seems brave to admit being childless by choice. Society pressures women to have kids and when celebrities say that they’re not ready or willing to it helps to take some of the stigma off.
So I guess we can assume all those tabloid stories about Carrie preparing for a baby were bullsh*t. Hopefully her husband is on the same page as she is when it comes to not having kids.

Ready to delve into one of the bigger dates in her calendar year, Carrie Underwood made a fashionable arrival to the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards
in Las Vegas on Sunday evening (April 1).
The 29-year-old was decked out in a shimmery silver frock as she worked the press at the MGM Grand Garden Arena prior to show kickoff.
With a full night ahead of her, Carrie is among the star-studded lineup of performers set to take the stage during the annual ceremony.
Miss Underwood is also in the running for multiple trophies, as she's vying for Female Vocalist of the Year honors, as well as Vocal Event of the Year accolades for her team-up with Brad Paisley on "Remind Me".
With the ceremony set to kick off at 8PM ET/PT on CBS, the 2012 ACM Awards are once again being hosted by Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire.

Dolling up for one of country music?s biggest weekends, Carrie Underwood was on hand for press duties on Saturday (March 31) on the eve of the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
The gorgeous songstress looked fabulous in a simple black dress and heels while greeting fans and signing autographs in Las Vegas' Westwood One Remotes room.
Miss Underwood has been taking to her Twitter page over the past few days, keeping her fans and followers updated on the weekend activities, at one point writing, ?Helloooooo Las Vegas! It's good to be back! Got my dresses and I'm ready to get my #ACM on!"
?Vegas is hot! Rehearsals yesterday went great! Did another fitting for dresses. I see yellow in my future!,? Carrie later added.

She?s always looking out for her fans, and Carrie Underwood just posed a video from her studio session for her upcoming album.
The ?Jesus, Take the Wheel? songstress took matters into her own hands and video taped a quick snippet of her new single ?Good Girl? in the mixing room.
Carrie shared, ?I don?t think I?m supposed to do this but I?m so excited about ? ?Good Girl? I thought I?d give you guys a little teaser because what are they gonna do to me? So here we go.?
?So there it is, very excited. I cannot wait for you to hear the whole thing. It will be coming to a radio near you very soon. I hope you like it!?

Carrie Underwood looked incredible at last night’s Grammys in a high neck long sleeve white and silver sequin Gomez-Gracia gown. It was demure yet sexy and featured a subtle cut out at the back. Our friends at Red Carpet Fashion Awards write that her black clutch was “too heavy for this look,” but I disagree and find it kind of striking against the white. I like her poofy hair and her heavily done eyes paired with neutral lips. In some shots her eyelashes look like caterpillars they’re so huge. It’s overdone but somehow Carrie pulls it off. Carrie was up for Best Country Solo performance, for “Mama’s Song,” which went to Taylor Swift for “Mean.” She performed a duet last night with Tony Bennett, “It Had To Be You,” which was flawless. (You can watch it here.) I loved her performance gown as well and she switched up her hair for that too, opting for flowing waves.
Kate Beckinsale was done to the hilt as usual, only this time she attempted a more “casual” look that’s just as constructed as everything she puts out there. I think Kate looks gorgeous, as she always does, and I like that she has her hair pulled up in loose curls. It highlights her pretty face instead of bringing attention to all the fake hair she has. Kate was in a short Zuhair Murad one-shoulder cream gathered gown with a black ribbon detail. It also featured a trailing chiffon scarf-like loop at the side. It was a decent dress and appropriate for the event but it looked like it should have been knee length instead of so short.
Miranda Lambert was in a peachy-biege embroidered cap sleeve Pavoni gown that had some superficial features in common with Taylor Swift’s dress. I don’t love it and found it somewhat predictable, but it looks nice on Miranda and I like her styling. Kaiser and I were talking about this dress and she thinks it’s very pageanty and similar to a lot of the other tacky dresses Miranda wears. It’s not bad for what it is I guess. What’s up with her shoes, though? Look at her toes peeking out under her dress.
Julianne Hough really rocked a tight sleevess black and grey Kaufman Franco with abstract bamboo-like stripe detail. I love this dress and find it both contemporary and very flattering. Julianne’s styling leaves something to be desired, though. Her makeup could be bolder and her hair is kind of underwhelming with that center part that ends halfway down her scalp. Still, one of the better dresses of the night.
On the other hand Alicia Keys took contemporary too far in this Alexandre Vauthier Couture. Red Carpet Fashion Awards has a photo of the dress on the runway and Alicia paired it with the exact same shoes the designer used. Her feet look crammed in there and like her toes are trying to escape. That’s just the design of the shoes, and it’s so unflattering. Those padded shoulders coupled with that poofy hair just looks ridiculous. Plus she had the worst accessory of all.

Gearing up for one of the biggest nights in the music world, Carrie Underwood was spotted arriving at the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday (February 12).
The ?American Idol? alum was clad in a lovely Gomez-Gracia dress as hit the Staples Center red carpet and mingled her way down the arrivals area ahead the GRAMMY show's onset.
As for the ceremony, Miss Underwood is up for a trophy for Best Country Solo Performance for her hit single "Mama's Song".
She's also set to take the stage for a what?s sure-to-be a fabulous performance alongside Chris Brown and Tony Bennett.

They share a connection thanks to "American Idol," and past winner Carrie Underwood teamed up with current judge Steven Tyler for an Indiana State Fairgrounds Pepsi Coliseum performance in Indianapolis on Saturday night (February 4).
The duo took the stage to the crowds delight while treating the audience to a set including a rockin' rendition of Carrie's hit song "Before He Cheats" as part of the CMT Crossroads Live From 'Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam' event.
Prior to taking the stage, Carrie and Steven spoke about one another during a show promo, with the Aerosmith rocker saying, "You were why I took judging for 'Idol,' you are exactly why. Not only could you sing good, but you adapted to this...it's a pit! It's a deep, dark, ominous pit. And you get out there on-stage at night with that band, that great band you've got and you make people feel happy, first and foremost. All the rest, if people knew what we went through to get out on that stage... you have gotten past that and not a lot of people do - they have to get through drugs and alcohol, booze and divorces and even those didn't make it. You were a natural at it."
Offering up kind words about Tyler in return, Miss Underwood said, "I remember as a very small child, I could pick your voice out. Even then, you know that it's different, you know that it's special and can pick it out from a million other voices. You were definitely part of what gave me that musical, laid-back, in-the-pocket sensibility on albums and stuff like that."
