Checking some items off of her weekly to-do list, Eva Longoria ran errands on Monday (March 25) in Beverly Hills.
Chic in a simple outfit of black leggings and a grey sweater, the ?Baytown Outlaws? babe accessorized with a small black clutch and sunglasses as she made her way through town.
The 38-year-old Texan is soon taking a turn behind the scenes as the executive producer of the upcoming reality show "Ready for Love.?
The program will play matchmaker for three single men looking for love. According to Ms. Longoria, "We use matchmakers to find the person that's going to be the best match for our three guys. I interviewed hundreds of guys, and I handpicked these three myself. They're some of my best friends now, and I would absolutely introduce them to my sister or my friends."
?Ready for Love? makes its debut on Tuesday, April 9 at 9/8 central on NBC.

Prepped for the long flight ahead, Eva Longoria arrived with a friend at LAX Airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday (February 13).
The "Desperate Housewives" star wore a black fedora, long-sleeved black top, and knee-high black boots while carrying a fuzzy pillow through the terminal.
Recently, the 37-year-old actress spoke to the Huffington Post about romance in the spirit of the upcoming holiday. When asked about her dating deal breaker, Eva replied, "Probably ignorance. I guess what I like in a good date, I love people with a great vocabulary. I really get fascinated when I hear new words and I?m like 'Ooh, that?s a fun word!' I look things up and I?m like, hmm, I?m going to use that."
As for what she's learned from past relationships, Ms. Longoria shares, "I?m no longer jealous in my life. Jealousy?s a form of wasted energy, that?s one thing I?ve learned. And patience.
Also, when you?re younger, you?re not your true self yet. And if you?re dating somebody that age as well, they?re not evolved yet, to the human being they?re supposed to be. So, I think now you have an appreciation for that process, and you understand people?s mistakes when you see where they are in their life."

Taking care of some promotional duties, Eva Longoria showed up at the New York Stock Exchange in Manhattan?s Financial District this afternoon (February 12).
Joined by Chef Michael Symon, the ?Over Her Dead Body? babe unveiled the three finalist flavors for the Lay?s ?Do Us A Flavor? contest.
And Ms. Longoria looked top-notch in a mid-length black dress underneath a black overcoat with black boots as she hammed it up for the shutterbugs.
Among the final flavors were Chicken & Waffles, Cheesy Garlic Bread, and Sriracha Hot Sauce, and consumers will vote on the ultimate winner to get a permanent spot in the Lay?s lineup.
Eva confessed, 'I don't have a sweet tooth. I'm not chocolate, candy, I'm a salt. I like olives, potato chips, pretzels. Chips are right up my alley.?

Last year, I made a conscious choice to start going easy on Eva Longoria. Not that I flat-out hated her and not that I have strong feelings about her in any way. Eva has always been sort of an annoyance for me, someone to be ignored whenever possible, mostly because she seems so ?LOOK AT ME? on red carpets. But last summer I found out that she had been named one of the national co-chairs for Pres. Obama?s re-election campaign. I?ll admit, that made me see her in a different light. Eva has been a huge Obama supporter for years (she was very active in his first presidential campaign as well), and she?s a major fundraiser for the Democratic Party, and she?s become a vocal (and surprisingly effective) advocate for immigration reform and Hispanic special interests. Of course Obama?s campaign was probably jazzed by the fact that she?s A) Hispanic and B) a woman, two demographics Obama really wanted to ?win? (and he succeeded), but I saw Eva give a few political speeches, and she was a very effective spokesperson for Democratic Party politics. Anyway, Obama won re-election and Eva was very happy and she even signed on to be a co-chair for his inauguration too. So that?s how I changed my mind about Eva ? I agree with her politically and I admire the way she focused her political energy.
Anyway, Eva covers the new issue of Cosmopolitan Latina, and one of Eva?s quotes really struck me. I thought y?all would want to talk about it:
Longoria on a piece of advice her mother gave her: ?My mother gave me one piece of advice that?s always stuck with me. Don?t forget where you came from.?
Longoria on her newest philanthropy project, the Eva Longoria Foundation: ?Latinas make up the largest labor pool in this economy. I want to invest directly in their success.?
Longoria on living in her West Hollywood home with girlfriends: ?I grew up with three sisters and love a full house. I basically live in a sorority house now.?
Longoria on recently reading up on American democracy: ?I?ve been studying the Constitution for myself but also as a way for me, as a Democrat, to comprehend the Right. I think it?s important that people who are politically active understand both sides. One of my biggest pet peeves is speaking out of ignorance.?

Is the Constitution quote weird? Like, is she saying that she?s reading the Constitution to ?understand the Right? because the Right claims that they?re more rah-rah-Constitution? Because both parties have issues with the Constitution in various ways, from habeas corpus to freedom of religion to the electoral college to FISA and on and on. But I agree with ?I think it?s important that people who are politically active understand both sides.? Know thy enemy! And studying the actual Constitution is always a good thing.
Incidentally, Eva might be back with Eduardo Cruz? They were photographed together a few days ago.

Ms. Longoria has been keeping busy on the acting front, with a role in the currently-filming drama "Frontera."
