Returning from a Telemundo awards show in Miami, Eva Longoria arrived in Los Angeles Friday (August 26) sporting an ?I?d Rather Be Shopping? sweater. And who can blame her -- awards shows and flying first class can definitely get old, right?
Speaking of awards, Miss Longoria will also be honored at the 26th annual Hispanic Heritage Awards. The awards will be presented September 5 at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
Also on her agenda: the Latin beauty is reuniting with her ?Desperate Housewives? husband Ricardo Chavira as a guest star on his upcoming NBC comedy series ?Welcome to the Family.?
If that isn?t enough success, the actress is also celebrating her new producing success. The show she?s helming on Lifetime, ?Devious Maids,? has been renewed for a second season.

Longoria declared, ?I think he?s going to be a future President of the United States. I just believe in him so much and his stance on everything.?
She added, ?He puts his phone number on Twitter so people can call him directly if there's a pipeline broken. The way he's accessible to his constituents is really mind-blowing."

Riding high on the news that her series ?Devious Maids? has been picked up for a second season, actress-turned-producer Eva Longoria made an appearance at Telemundo?s Premios Tu Mondo (Your World) awards show in Miami on Thursday (August 15).
Looking absolutely stunning, the brunette beauty worked the blue carpet in a figure-hugging black gown which showed off her fabulous physique with a low-cut, sheer back.
Not just there as a spectator, Miss Longoria will also be being honored with the ?ALMA de Tu Mundo? award. This is the second edition of the Spanish-language network?s Latin awards show.
Longoria is the executive producer of ?Devious Maids,? which airs on the cable network Lifetime. Some critics have said the show is demeaning to Hispanics, in part because it features Latina actresses working for wealthy white people.

Urging voters to support Booker?s US Senate race, the ?Over Her Dead Body? actress looked gorgeous in a white blouse/white trousers combo.
Eva took to her Twitter account to lend some celebrity cred to the Democratic candidate in hopes that her fans in New Jersey will take note.

According to Deadline, inspired by the life of sex therapist Laura Berman, the show will follow a female sex & relationship expert who helps patients deal with intimacy, love, and unusual fetishes. However, that?s nothing compared to navigating the relationships with her ex-husband, his new girlfriend, and her own mother, all while raising her two young sons.

Recently, the 38-year-old actress spoke about the importance of Latino education at the 2013 National Council La Raza (NCLR) in New Orleans.
Miss Longoria pointed out that although the college graduation rates for Latinos are high, they are not keeping up with the demographic changes.
Also discussing the research from the Urban Review that shows minority students dropping out because they don't feel supported, Eva commented, "I call it a push-out rate not a dropout rate."

First, Eva wrote, "Why is it my mom always comes to LA and first thing is to see @MarioLopezExtra at the grove!!" Later, she shared an adorable photo of her little nephew holding an "Extra" microphone with the caption, "Watch out @MarioLopezExtra my nephew is taking over your job!!"
