Stepping out for a photocall for her latest film ?Conviction,? Hilary Swank was spotted in London, England on Friday (October 15).
Joined by co-star, Sam Rockwell, the ?Million Dollar Baby? actress looked beautiful in a black dress and bronze heels as she flashed her infamous smile for the on-hand photogs.
The flick, which hits theatres today, is about a working mother who puts herself through law school in an effort to represent her brother, who has been wrongfully convicted of murder and has exhausted his chances to appeal his conviction through public defenders, according to IMDB.
On the career front, Swank recently wrapped up two more films ?The Resident? which will be out this year and ?Dreams of a Dying Heart? set for a 2012 release.

These are pics of Hilary Swank at last night?s screening of Conviction (promoted by The Innocence Project), the film I keep hearing about but have no interest in seeing. First, what I like: the color is gorgeous, the top half of the dress is very beautiful, and it compliments Hilary?s long neck and larger bust. I also like that she styled her hair down - she doesn?t look quite as horsey when she wears it down. The bottom half of the dress? well? I hate it. It?s cut too high, and there are a couple of photos where I swear I saw a flash of something vagina-esque. I also f-cking hate the shoes. Just standing alone, I would find them tacky, but they?re WAY too matchy-matchy with the dress. But overall, the whole effect of this is… not horrible. Not great either.
The screening wasn?t all gladiator heels and vadge-flashes, though. Sam Rockwell was there. He?s been my main crush this week. I always love a dose of Rockwell with my steady diet of Gerard and Clive and Gandy? but ever since I saw Iron Man 2, I can?t get him out of my head this week. He?s always so good when he gets to play smarmy! To me, his preening, incompetent bureaucrat-CEO was a better (and more realistic) villain than Mickey Rourke. I have no clue what?s going on with his hair, though. This hair is making him look ratty. To make up for this horrible photo of him, I?m adding some extra photos from the past month:

Taking care of more promotional duties, Hilary Swank was spotted at A Benefit Celebration for The Innocence Project in Honor of ?Conviction? last night (October 13) in New York City.
The ?Million Dollar Baby? actress smiled for the cameras as she made her way inside the event, which raised money to exonerate wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system.
Hilary also paid a visit to the French Institute where she checked out a screening of ?Conviction? with her costar Juliette Lewis.
Earlier in the day, Ms. Swank was spotted at the Ed Sullivan Theater where she made an appearance on ?The Late Show with David Letterman.?

She?s no stranger to high-profile events, and last night (October 12) Hilary Swank was spotted at the premiere of ?Conviction.?
The ?Million Dollar Baby? actress was joined by Juliette Lewis and Sam Rockwell as she posed outside the Tribeca Grand Hotel.
And though she seems happy enough, Hilary recently told press that being a world famous actress has put a damper on her ability to have fun.
?I think what happens to actors when they become famous is they become more solitary. It?s harder to go out just because of the nature of it. That?s one of the biggest detriments because when you start losing touch with people, you lose touch with life and what you?re trying to create.?
?I love traveling and I love taking public transportation when I can and being with people because that?s what I do. That?s my job but it is hard to still do that.?

The ?Million Dollar Baby? actress looked to be in good spirits as she arrived at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills for the swanky shindig.
In career news, Hilary is scheduled to receive a special honor at the upcoming Gotham Independent Film Awards along with Robert Duvall.
Joana Vicente, the executive director of the Independent Filmmakers Project, told press, "Robert and Hilary's work have enriched our lives; from the smallest of indies to the largest of Hollywood features, we are in awe of their talent and look forward to what lies ahead."

Here are the photos from last night?s big Conviction premiere. Some are claiming that Hilary is going to get another Oscar nomination for her portrayal as a working-class mom who puts herself through law school to represent her wrongfully imprisoned brother. I think the movie looks tough? and slightly boring. But Hilary is doing what she does best - straight dramas where she portrays someone working-class and tough, yet vulnerable. That?s what has won her two Best Actress Oscars (eye roll). Anyway, I don?t really care about that, I care about the fashion. I find this dress on Hilary to be rather uneventful - it shows off her great figure, but it isn?t really sexy or special or anything. What is amazingly awful is Hilary?s styling, though. Check out this ungodly combination of cheesy 80s makeup and an unflattering hairstyle:
Seriously, Hilary? You?re going to put metallic blue eyeliner/shadow on your bottom lid? And then you?re going to pull your hair back so tightly that all we can see is ?horsey??
Hilary?s costar Juliette Lewis looked really cute though - except for the shoes. She always gets one thing wrong.
I liked Minnie Driver?s look too! The dress is weird, but she kind of pulls it off.
And my lover Sam Rockwell. I just saw Iron Man 2 over the weekend, and Sam was one of the best parts of it. He?s so delicious as a weasel! He looks hot here. I would hit like a house on fire.

Showing up for a scheduled appearance at the Toronto Film Festival, Hilary Swank was spotted at a press conference for her new movie, ?Conviction? on Monday (September 13).
The ?Amelia? actress looked picture perfect as she first stopped and had her photo taken during a portrait session and then proceeded to the sit-down conference.
Also in attendance at the press conference were Swank?s ?Conviction? co-stars, Juliette Lewis and Minnie Driver.
In the flick, Hilary plays an unemployed single mother named Betty Anne Waters who spends a decade earning a law degree so she can represent her brother in court. It hits theaters on October 15th.

Having been keeping herself out of the spotlight as of late, Hilary Swank emerged to show off her fabulous body in Hawaii on Thursday (August 12).
The "Million Dollar Baby" babe donned a white-pink striped two-piece bikini as she continued to enjoy her island vacation with boyfriend John Campisi.
On the career front, Miss Swank can next be seen in the Tony Goldwyn directed bio-drama about the life of Betty Anne Waters titled "Conviction".
Co-starring Sam Rockwell and Minnie Driver, a synopsis of the film - due out February 2011 - reads: "A working mother puts herself through law school in an effort to represent her brother, who has been wrongfully convicted of murder and has exhausted his chances to appeal his conviction through public defenders."

Let me start off by saying that I don’t find Hilary Swank attractive at all, I think it was either that movie where she pretended to have a penis or her face that ruined it for me, but I’m not afraid to admit that she’s got one hell of a body on her.
