Stepping out for promotional obligations, Eva Mendes launched Vida by Eva Mendes at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City on Saturday (July 25).
The “Cleaner” cutie hopped on top of one of her trusty new bedding supplies, greeting a gathered group of fans and onlookers during the course of the day.
The promotional duties come shortly after the 35-year-old responded to criticism about her weight.
“I don’t have a starving body I have a healthy toned body,” she said. “I don’t think people should criticize my [Calvin Klein] advert. I prepped for it a lot and I think it’s great. It was in the desert and we were all oiled up for it. That’s my job!”

This is what I like to see. More hot chicks in bikinis like Eva Mendes is here in Italy. Though Eva looks like a dork with that floatie. Doesn’t she know how to swim? It’s simple. All you do is flail around spastically in the middle of the ocean until a lifeguard comes to save you. Then free ride back to shore.

Enjoying a promotional trip overseas, Eva Mendes attended a photocall during the 2009 Giffoni Experience in Giffoni Vallepiana on Friday (July 17).
The 35-year-old actress made the trip to Italy together with her boyfriend, George Gargurevich.
During her time in the Mediterranean, the “We Own the Night” cutie is being presented with a film festival award, also telling that she’s been enjoying the local cuisine.
As for her career, Miss Mendes has two movies that are in post-production, “Last Night” and “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans”.

Eva Mendes has fallen for the oldest trick in the Australian Prankster’s Handbook: serving up hairy kangaroo tails and convincing your foreign guests that these are some kind of delicacy.
?I was shooting a movie in Melbourne and decided to take a road trip to Uluru. I hooked up with these spectacular Aboriginal women who insisted on cooking for me.
They got these kangaroo tails, wrapped them in tin foil and threw them on the fire, with the hair still on them. Kangaroo tail tastes like the worst beef jerky you?ve tasted in your life.?
And for dessert, Eva explained she was given grubs:
?They serve up grubs for afters. You find a tree, crack open the branches and there are these fat old worms, ready to be slightly fried and eaten.
After eating the kangaroo tails, the grubs were like the world?s finest tiramisu, believe me.?

Australians do eat kangaroo, you can buy the meat in supermarkets and butchers, but mostly it is sold as pet meat because it has a very strong flavor that not everyone likes, obviously Eva Mendes being one of them. They are considered a sensible source of food as they are not farmed but caught from the wild.
There’s also a feeling that Kangaroos are ‘cute’ so people don’t want to eat them, and there’s a long standing joke that we’re the only country where you can visit the symbol of Australia at a zoo, then go out to dinner and eat it.
Kudos to Eva for trying new things and local customs. Particularly since the grubs I think she’s talking about are witchetty grubs, which can be eaten raw or cooked. They taste like eggs I’ve heard. I’m unsure of what film Eva was making in Australia, but she has three films currently in the works, Last Night, Bad Lieutenant:Port of Call New Orleans, and Queen of the South.

Continuing her overseas promotional romp, Eva Mendes was spotted attending the Italian premiere of “Live!” on Thursday night (February 26).
Looking lovely, as usual, Miss Mendes attended a photo call for the film earlier in the day, also spening time with her boyfriend David Lane Seltzer.
And while it looks as if Eva may have finally found her match, the actress recently spoke of the disappointment that came during her first brush with love.
“The first time I fell in love I was at Disneyland,” Mendes told the Daily Express. “I was about nine years old, waiting in line for Mr Toad’s Wild Ride and I saw him as our line rounded the corner.”
“He looked at me and then past me and he broke my heart. It was over as soon as it began. I was exhilarated and devastated at the same time. That was my introduction to love,” she added.
