Katie Holmes and Suri spent the New Year in Miami, Florida. Katie chilled by the pool in a bikini top and jean shorts. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Katie Holmes in a bikini and, wait, holy crap, is that her belly button? Outies always freak me out. They look like little turtles about to pop their heads out. They make you want to try and push it back in with your finger while yelling, “Bloop!” Don’t do that with a stranger though. They DO NOT like that.

Continuing her vacation in the south, Katie Holmes stepped out for another day at the beach in Miami, FL on Tuesday (December 31).
The ?Batman Begins? beauty sported a teal and Pink bikini as she relaxed quietly by the pool.
Recently, Katie finished the production of her upcoming film ?Days and Nights.? Per the synopsis, the film is about a ?reckless desire wreaks havoc over Memorial Day weekend as a family confronts the volatile and fragile nature of love"
Starring alongside Miss Holmes are Allison Janney, Ben Whishaw, and Jean Reno. The film is slated to hit theaters later this year.

Katie Holmes is ringing in the latter part of 2013 in Miami. To be more precise, Katie is hanging with Suri on the beach. They look happy and relaxed and — most importantly — are thousands of miles away from Tiny Tom. Katie is rocking a hot Pink bikini, and you can see more full body shots here. Katie’s working the swimsuit without flaunting it, and that’s a tough balance to achieve.
Suri looks really cute in her Hello Kitty swimsuit too. I know some people will get all worked up about a young child in a two-piece suit, but I don’t see a problem here. My daughter wore a bikini when she was seven years old like Suri, but now it’s nothing but a one piece. Give Suri a few years, and she’ll probably grow into an “embarrassed” tweenager too. I miss those days when my daughter was carefree enough to not worry about what people think of how she looks at the pool.
I’m also including gallery photos of Katie at the recent Jingle Ball in New York City. She’s pose harding like her life depends on it. That’s kind of funny because you know Tom hates it.

The ?Dawson?s Creek? darling hit up TAO restaurant in Manhattan where her friends ordered her a massive fortune cookie.
Holmes posted a photo of the huge confection along with the caption, ?Great birthday celebration at Tao!!!!!!!? followed by, ?Had the best time @TAOdowntown.?
In career news, Katie is slated to play the lead in ?Responsible Adults? alongside Chace Crawford of ?Gossip Girl? fame.

Facing the extremely cold temps, Katie Holmes and her daughter Suri Cruise headed off for another day of school in New York City this morning (December 12).
The "Batman Begins" beauty and her little one bundled up for the frigid day as they walked hand and hand together through the busy streets.
Meanwhile, Katie recently announced that she will star in the upcoming rom-com "Responsible Adults." Per the synopsis, " A romantic comedy centered on Baxter Wood, who realizes that his crush, med student Liz Quinn , was his babysitter 15 years ago.
Starring alongside Miss Holmes are Chace Crawford and Sara Paxton. The film is slated to hit theaters in 2015.

The ?Gift? actress showed up on the Cape Town, South Africa set of ?The Giver? today (November 21) looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
Slated to hit theaters on August 15th, 2014, ?The Giver? also stars Alexander Skarsgard, Taylor Swift, Meryl Streep, and Jeff Bridges.
Per the synopsis, ?In a seemingly perfect community, without war, pain, suffering, differences or choice, a young boy is chosen to learn from an elderly man about the true pain and pleasure of the ?real? world.?

Continuing to film her flick ?The Giver,? Katie Holmes arrived for a departing flight at Cape Town, South Africa?s airport on Wednesday afternoon (November 20).
The ?Batman Begins? beauty kept it casual as she toted her luggage and ignored the awaiting shutterbugs.
During her stay, Miss Holmes took a guided tour of the jail where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years.
"Katie was very touched by the whole experience. We visited Mandela's cell, where I told her that we all slept on the ground for 14 years, that there were no flush toilets, only buckets, that the lights were kept on all night... She didn't cry, but she did react," said former inmate Ahmed Kathrada.
"You could see she was very emotional," he added.

Katie Holmes is working hard to get her acting career (back?) on track. She did score a small role alongside Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges in the upcoming adaptation of The Giver. Katie is also, intentionally or not, sexing up her own everyday image by becoming one party of a rumored hot fling with Jamie Foxx.
What better way to combine both new aspects — fearless actress and sexy 30-something woman — of Katie’s image than by casting her as a rumored candidate for a role in 50 Shades of Grey? This actually sounds like a disaster. I haven’t read any of the 50 Shades books but understand that Elena shows up in 50 Shades Darker as a sort of “Mrs. Robinson” character. Elena is supposed to have shown Christian Grey the S&M ropes. Katie is wayyy too sweet to pull off such a role. I think. Let’s ponder this, shall we?
Katie Holmes is sexing up her silver-screen image to put herself back on the movie map. And she’s hoping to land a red-hot role in the film version of 50 Shades of Grey!
Sources say that Katie, 34, plans on going platinum blonde for the role of Elena Lincoln, kinky billionaire and main character Christian Grey’s longtime sex and business partner.
The “Elena” character is known in the best-selling book as a Mrs. Robinson-type who schools Christian in the dark, deviant world of bondage and sadomasochism.
The former Tom Cruise has been keeping busy. She had a role this past spring opposite Luke Kirby in the film Mania Days. And she’s been in South Africa recently shooting the ensemble flick The Giver with Meryl Streep and Taylor Swift.
But none of those roles have given her the push she feels she needs to make it to the top of Hollywood’s A-list.
“She’s looking at this as the role of a lifetime for her,” said a pal. “It will shock a lot of people, but she thinks Hollywood will sit up and take notice. She knows she has to reinvent herself.”
When Sons of Anarchy actor Charlie Hunnam was originally cast as Christian, Katie assumed she wouldn’t get the role of “Elena” because they’d had sex scenes together in the 2002 film Abandon. katie didn’t think producers would pair them again.
But now that Charlie’s out and Irish actor Jamie Dornan is in, katie is determined to win over the film’s execs.
It will also make ex-hubby Cruise fume, say sources.

For what it’s worth (and it’s not much), Gossip Cop has already said this story is crap. That doesn’t mean Katie’s team isn’t putting out feelers to see what the general internet reaction would be to her playing Elena. This is exactly the same method that Jena Malone used to capture the role of Johanna Mason in Catching Fire. It worked for Jena, and I can actually believe that Katie would think a 50 Shades role would help her climb to “the top of Hollywood’s A-list.” At the very least, Katie might be aiming for B-list.
As predicted, Katie has completely ignored Tori Spelling’s recent insults. Atta girl.
