Getting in some together time, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban stepped out in Westwood, CA on Saturday (January 12).
The "Paperboy" actress looked elegant in a cream-colored pantsuit as she and her Aussie hunk hubby took time to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
In career news, the lovely 45-year-old is busy filming the bio-pic "Grace of Monaco," about the late actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly.
Spearheaded by Olivier Dahan, the film is expected to be released early next year.

Here is Nicole Kidman on the cover of the new issue of DuJour Magazine. I?m assuming that the photo shoot is supposed to be ?in character? as Grace Kelly, or that Nicole simply liked the Princess Grace styling she?s working for Grace of Monaco, so she just wanted to have the same kind of vibe for the magazine. One shot ? where you can see her whole face ? is very pretty. I don?t really care for the rest. ?Coy? and ?coquettish? isn?t the best look when you?re 45 years old, you know? Put on your big girl panties and pull the hair out of your face. As for the interview? I don?t know why Nicole is suddenly talking about Tom Cruise all the time. I know she must be getting the questions nowadays given Tom?s latest divorce, but it seems weird that Nicole is finally discussing all of it after all of this time. Some highlights from the interview:
Falling for Tom when they first met: “I was totally smitten–I fell madly, passionately in love? I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him. I was reeling with Tom. I would have gone to the ends of the earth for him.”
Once they married: “I was so impulsive and nave? We were in a bubble . . .just the two of us. We became very dependent on one another.”
After they split: “I realized I didn’t want to be alone. I wanted to fall in love again, but I wasn’t sure I could.”
Meeting Keith Urban: “My life changed. He is a wonderful, caring man and he makes me feel secure. We don’t ever like to be separated. We have a wonderful home life. There?s always music. Keith plays the guitar and piano and drums. He?s always composing music. It?s lovely when you have a baby who picks up the drumsticks and plays, wearing angel wings.’
Giving birth to Sunday Rose in 2008 (cough): “Having my baby has been a healing experience. It took me so long to have a child. I feel enormous gratitude. Sunday has healed an enormous amount in me. It’s a very private thing, but she just has.”
Is she content now? “Oh, yes! I?m happier than I?ve ever been in my life. And it’s my life. Before, I was running away from life. Now I embrace it. You never know how long you have. So I cherish every minute.”
Workng on Grace of Monaco: ?I?m living in a friend?s house in Nice [to film a biopic of Princess Grace Of Monaco]. My two daughters are with me, Sunday Rose, who?s four, and Faith Margaret, who?s two. My mother is about to fly in from Australia to babysit. Then Keith will be arriving? My family is with me. My family.?
[Via Us Weekly]
Sigh. ?My two daughters are with me, Sunday Rose, who?s four, and Faith Margaret, who?s two.? You know Nicole has three daughters, right? I mean, I get that Nicole and Bella (who is now a legal adult and a hardcore Scientologist) are somewhat estranged, but it really doesn?t help when Nicole consistently makes references to her ?two daughters? like there isn?t a third one roaming around. And a son too, by the way.
As for all of the Tom stuff? I don?t even know. Maybe they were in their own little bubble. The Katie Holmes situation has provided a lot of retrospective information on Nicole and Tom?s marriage, and how Nicole pulled him away from Xenu for years and years. She?s totally Suppressive.

Taking a break to enjoy the races, Nicole Kidman attended the 2012 AAMI Victoria Derby Day at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday (November 3).
Mobbed by photographers, the "Moulin Rouge" star wore a lacey white knee-length dress by designer L'Wren Scott with a fitting race day hat made of recycled plastic bottles by British milliner Stephen Jones.
The black and white themed AAMI Victoria Derby Day is considered by most racing purists to be the best single day of thoroughbred racing in Australia, if not the world.
At the event, the 45-year-old Aussie actress said, "I'm really happy to be here. I do quite like the races and in previous years I have been to Randwick but never to Melbourne, so it was well worth the effort because it is a first for me.''
Afterwards, Nicole had to jet back to France to continue filming her upcoming project, "Grace of Monaco," in which she stars as Grace Kelly.

Getting in some horseback riding fun, Nicole Kidman filmed scenes for ?Grace of Monaco? this morning (October 12) in Monaco.
The ?Hemingway and Gellhorn? actress looked perfectly comfortable aboard the massive animal as she cantered around the outdoor locale, staged to look like Prince Rainier?s Roc Agel property.
?Grace of Monaco? is the story of former Hollywood star Grace Kelly's involvement with Monaco's Prince Rainier III and France's Charles De Gaulle dispute over tax laws in the early 1960s.?
Additionally, Ms. Kidman has a pair of projects coming out in 2013 including ?Stoker,? and ?The Railway Man.?

Hard at work on her new project, Nicole Kidman showed up on the set of ?Grace of Monaco? in Monaco this afternoon (October 9).
The ?Eyes Wide Shut? actress channeled the spirit of Grace Kelly as she filmed scenes centered on her involvement with Monaco?s Prince Rainier III under the direction of Olivier Dahan.
In a recent interview, Nicole confessed that while her ten-year marriage to Tom Cruise seemed fairly positive, she had a rough time overall.
?In those early years, it was like, ?I?m here and I?m clutching onto your arm, and it all feels a little overwhelming and really strange.? And I was shy. Deeply shy. I didn?t feel comfortable at all. But I felt very comfortable at home.?
On the other hand, Kidman eventually found her soul mate in Keith Urban. ?He just gave me confidence. Through just being very kind to me and understanding me, opening me up to trying things, my sexuality, those sorts of things? (He has) a bigger, stronger personality; that?s what I?ve been drawn to. I need protection. Everyone wants to feel someone?s got their back.?

| Nicole Kidman's Uncle Terry pictorial for Harper's Bazaar: awful or interesting' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

UGH! Terry Richardson photographed Nicole Kidman for the November cover of Harper?s Bazaar. Gross, right? Nicole Kidman, who is trying to simultaneously prove that A) she?s just a down-home Nashville mom with two small daughters and B) that she?s still the sexiest, coolest actress around. Can those Two Nicoles exist simultaneously? Can The Two Nicoles co-exist in a monster-truck-themed Terry Richardson photo shoot? Ugh. Anyway, you can read Nicole?s full Bazaar piece here, and here are some highlights:
Taking on roles: “I attach, I attach so deeply that it’s quite scary for me. I’m drawn to the psychology of really interesting, flawed people.”
She?s reserved: “Yeah, I’m different than what they think I’m going to be,” she says of her perceived hauteur. “I’m reserved. I’m more of an introvert than an extrovert.”
Landing in New York in 1989: “I grew up with the song ‘New York, New York,’?” Nicole says. “I just remember getting off the plane and being completely overwhelmed.” She started auditioning, once for Ophelia in Hamlet at the Public Theater, directed by Kevin Kline, who she idolized. “I just crammed Ophelia into my brain. I felt very glad I trod the boards in front of Kevin Kline.”
The early years with Tom Cruise: Her career began an upswing, and later that year she met Cruise on the set of Days of Thunder. So started the period she now refers to as “fame by association.” In those early years, “it was like, ‘I’m here and I’m clutching onto your arm, and it all feels a little overwhelming and really strange,’ ” she recalls. “And I was shy. Deeply shy. I didn’t feel comfortable at all. But I felt very comfortable at home.”
Her career post-divorce: “I started to do what I’ve been doing since I was 14, with some gravitas.” It paid off: The supernatural thriller The Others was a hit, and she earned an Oscar for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours. “Having your work be the basis of fame, that’s a far more stable feeling.”
Fame and work: “I don’t really celebrate fame because I get enough attention. I’m willing to step aside. And when I work, I work. Wholeheartedly.” Not surprisingly, Nicole has nothing to say publicly on Cruise’s divorce from Katie Holmes, characterizing her recent turn back in the gossip mill as “very, very fleeting. I’m not caught up in any of it. It’s not really a part of my life.”
The mythical work-family balance: “I’d love to say that it’s easy, but it isn’t. I miss them so much when I’m away. And so I limit the amount of time away through no other reason than I just love, I love them. But that’s my personality. I get 3 A.M. panics because I’m so attached.”
Her family, being married to Keith: “Time goes by so fast now, and having raised two little kids who are now adults and two new children in the world, it’s fleeting.” However, she has found permanence in her relationship with Urban. The couple, who met in 2005, have been married for six years. “He just gave me confidence,” she observes, “through just being very kind to me and understanding me, opening me up to trying things, my sexuality, those sorts of things.” After the adventure of Cruise, she characterizes Urban as “more like an ocean; he took me out.” She has always appreciated “a bigger, stronger personality; that’s what I’ve been drawn to. I need protection. Everyone wants to feel someone’s got their back.”
On the red carpet: “I make sure to wear comfortable dresses,” she explains, “because I want to be able to go out afterward and, you know, bend.” Her most famous look is the now legendary chartreuse Dior dress she wore to the Oscars in 1997. “It’s packed in a box with tissue paper, and it will be donated to a museum.” As for her other couture pieces, “whichever daughter loves clothes more will get dibs on all those. But I keep them in the same way that I’d keep a painting.”
Body image: “[It bothers me] Less as you get older. All of that other stuff becomes less important. Like, I’ve always had a little belly. I mean, now that I’m 45, they don’t say, ‘Oh, she’s pregnant!’ as much. But I’ve got skinny arms and legs, and then I’ve got a little belly.” But who cares when your legs go for miles? “In high, high shoes, that helps! Like a minx.”
Is she daring? “I would hate to go back and think, I wish I’d been a little braver”
[From Harper?s Bazaar]
Well? sigh. I know the Kidman fan-girls are going to hit me for saying this, but I think Nicole is really full of it in this interview. She wants to be seen as more easy-going and relaxed and devil-may-care, but really? Nicole can?t hide what she is. It?s written all over her marble-like Botox-face. She?s neurotic, she cares too much, she?s a perfectionist, and she?s very tightly-wound. I actually rolled my eyes at ?I make sure to wear comfortable dresses.? Botox, please. Nicole is all about the BIG fashion moments, and historically speaking, she cares more about the dress than her own comfort. Why can?t she own that? Is it not mom-friendly enough if she admits that she flat-out LOVES fashion and loves to have a high-impact moment on the red carpet?

| Nicole Kidman in red L?Wren Scott in NYC: cheap-looking or lovely? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Lots of Nicole Kidman today! Did you know that Nicole has Twihard-like fan girls? True story. And they think Nicole walks on water and they yell at me when I don?t acknowledge her as a saint on earth. Personally, I thought I was being very nice and generous to Nicole in my earlier post, but the fan girls are really upset. Well, those fan girls should double-up on their big-girl panties, because this post might be slightly ?harsher?.
These are pics of Nicole at last night?s premiere (also described as a ?gala? for some reason) of The Paperboy in NYC. Nicole wore this red L?Wren Scott. I love L?Wren. Truly. She?s like the anti-Georgina Chapman. But this dress isn?t the best, and I?m not sure I like it on Nicole at all. I?m not one of those ?gingers should never wear red? people. Some gingers can pull it off. But I don?t think Nicole is pulling this off, and part of the reason is that the fabric is just kind of? I don?t know, cheap-looking? Maybe I would feel differently if I saw this on a brunette. I might, quite honestly. Also: Nicole?s bolt-ons look incredibly high and ridiculous in this dress.
In other Nicole news, her Paperboy director, Lee Daniels, says that Nicole flat-out refused to say the n-word:
Nicole Kidman went outside of her comfort zone to play a sexy role in The Paperboy, but there was one thing she wasn’t willing to do.
“I asked her to use the ‘N’ word,” director Lee Daniels revealed Wednesday during a press conference for the film. “I could feel the racial tension there in the town. She said, ‘I won’t do it.’ I told my producer, ‘She won’t do it!’ Then he mapped it out — ‘Lee, day one she is on a washing machine, day two she is urinating on Zac Efron, day three she’s having telepathic sex . . . I think you can forgive her.”
Kidman, 45, plays a trashy, bleach-blonde woman in the dark, twisted film set in the 1960s. The Paperboy stars Efron and Matthew McConaughey as two brothers investigating the case of a death row inmate played by John Cusack, who Kidman’s character is obsessed with marrying.
“I just didn’t feel it was right for the character,” the actress explained of why she wouldn’t say the word. “I have a son [Connor Cruise] who is African American. I just didn’t feel like it was right. What I try to do as an actor is fulfill a director?s vision. I have opinions, but at the same time I’m not there to stop him from anything. I’ve really tried to do that in every film. I never want to pull them off their vision.”
Kidman is mother to adopted children Isabella, 19, and Connor, 17, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, and daughters Sunday Rose, 4, and Faith Margaret, 21 months, with husband Keith Urban. But the mother of four does want to take on more challenging roles in the future.
“I just wanted to push myself to do something I haven’t done before. I want to feel challenged, ripped open, to bring discomfort to myself and it’s really hard to find those roles and people who will do it with you,” she said. “But at this point in my life I don’t want to be scared. I’m going to push through.”
[From Us Weekly]
I don?t think Nicole should have to feel like she needs to apologize or hedge for refusing to say the n-word. She didn?t think it was right for the character, and she probably didn?t want to say it ever, in general. Which is fine. I?m glad Lee Daniels didn?t push for it, and I?m glad Nicole drew a line somewhere. It?s funny that her line in the sand was ?no n-word? and not ?spontaneous orgasm upon seeing John Cusack? or ?peeing on Zac Efron?.

Basking in the glory of her hard-earned work in film, Nicole Kidman was the guest of honor at a gala tribute held as part of the 50th annual New York Film Festival on Wednesday (October 3).
The Aussie-American actress looked gorgeous in a bright red frock while being escorted around the Lincoln Center venue by her country music star hubby, Keith Urban.
As for the festivities, Nicole took the stage for a one on one conversation on her career while spectators had the treat of watching private screening of her latest film, ?The Paperboy.?
Speaking about why the 45 year-old star was the perfect honoree, Film Society of Lincoln Center program director Richard Pea said in a statement, ?Nicole Kidman is one of film's finest contemporary actresses.?
?Since her breakthrough performance in ?To Die For,? and her bold and provocative appearances in Lars Von Trier's ?Dogville,? Stanley Kubrick's ?Eyes Wide Shut,? as well as her awarding-winning portrayal of Virginia Woolf in Stephen Daldry's ?The Hours,? Kidman has insisted on finding roles that are complex, bold and demanding. We are excited to honor her with a tribute at the New York Film Festival," Pena added.

| Nicole Kidman in Antonio Berardi at the Emmys: lovely or OMG Botox? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Believe it or not, I really liked Nicole Kidman?s dress when I first saw it on the red carpet. But now that I?m looking at it in photos, I?m not so sure. I think some of the magic, some of the detailing of the gown might be lost in photos. The gown was by Antonio Berardi, which is surprising to me because Nicole usually chooses more ?classic designers? for the major red carpets, like Dior or Valentino, etc. It?s nice that she?s mixing it up. As for Nicole?s loss for Hemingway & Gellhorn? I was thrilled that she lost to Julianne Moore (Moore won for Game Change). I had a feeling that was going to happen, and I wonder if Nicole was pissed about it. Nicole and Julianne know each other, they worked together on The Hours, etc. I think Nicole is a professional, and she probably wasn?t too pissed off.
Should we talk about Nicole?s face? Seriously, you guys, it?s WORSE THAN EVER. You know why? Nicole said why during her interview with Ryan Seacrest ? she?ll be in France playing Grace Kelly. A 45-year-old playing the 33-year-old Princess Grace. Buy stock in Botox!
And here?s Lena Dunham in Prada. I don?t watch Girls, which I hope isn?t an anti-woman admission. I just don?t have HBO, and so I don?t really understand why Lena is a big deal. So I?m only judging her on fashion and styling, both of which are not great. I will say that her dress looks a lot prettier when you can see all of it ? when the camera cut her off at the hip, it was awful. I basically think she looks like a little girl who is wearing her first ?big girl? dress and everything just seems uncomfortable. There?s too much lace ? everything seems stiff and bridesmaid-y.
