Natalie Portman is still talking. Bless her heart. Little Miss Privacy is campaigning for an Oscar, and we will hear the gushy clichs about her bump and her glow and how she?s ?fat? and happy from now until the Oscars. After that, hopefully Natalie and her Ballet K-Fed will simmer down. That?s Natalie?s plan - she tells People Magazine: ?I hope I?ll get to lie in bed and eat popcorn and watch TV for the rest of [my pregnancy]. Not always be out in public looking like a whale, but it?s all nice energy that everyone is showing.? Not that Natalie regrets stepping out in her condition and having everyone fawn over her: ?I feel happy and I think when you?re happy you?re always glowing.?
Not only is campaigning for that Oscar, she?s also promoting that horrible-looking romantic comedy No Strings Attached, with Ashton Kutcher. But don?t call it a romantic comedy! You see, in the film, Natalie plays a doctor, not a fashion girl. And there?s no makeover. Thus, this romantic comedy is different! Because if romantic comedy characters like clothes and need a makeover, that ?offends? Natalie?s delicate sensibilities.
Aside from being engaged and pregnant, Natalie Portman is trying something else new this year, by starring in a romantic comedy. Natalie has taken on the challenge of starring in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached with Ashton Kutcher because it finally fit her type of chick-flick.
?I?ve always wanted to do one,? Natalie tells Entertainment Weekly. ?But the girls are always in fashion, and it?s always about their clothes. They always want to get married at the end. There?s some kind of makeover scene. That stuff offends me.?
But No Strings Attached left that ?stuff? out.
?[Screenwriter] Liz Meriwether writes women so specifically and smartly,? the Black Swan star says of the film. ?My character is a woman who?s working, who?s trying to create her own construct for relationships, who?s funny herself ? and isn?t just the girlfriend of a funny guy.?
And Natalie is working on making some romantic comedy-type films of her own through her production company, Handsomecharlie Films.
?Natalie wants to build something that?s different from your usual production company,? Annette Savitch, her producing partner, says. ?We want to do movies that are female driven, from a fresher perspective. So if it?s a comedy, it?s not just about women out to find husbands. I think that?s really lacking today.?
They?re currently working on Best Buds, a ?stoner roadtrip comedy,? and BYO, a ?female Superbad.?

No, Natalie has a point, she honestly does. There is a lot of stuff in these interchangeable rom-coms that I find offensive. And yes, Natalie has every right to point out that all women, and all romantic heroines in film, don?t need to ring and don?t have to give a crap about fashion. But is Natalie the right person to get on her high horse about this? You know what offends me? One of the best actresses of her generation, a Harvard-educated beauty, who says crap like, ?Thank you to Benjamin, who is helping me continue this creation of creating more life. Benjamin choreographed the film, and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask, ‘Would you sleep with that girl?’ And he’s like, ‘Pffsh, no.’ He’s the best actor. It’s not true: He totally wants to sleep with me!” So much of that offends me. Of course, I?m also offended that Natalie is shilling her rom-com by pretending she?s selling anything other than her engagement and her bump - looks like that is what ALL girls want, isn?t it, Natalie?
Also, rose-boobs offend me too. Just a personal quirk of mine.

She certainly had a monumental night at the Golden Globes, and Natalie Portman was spotted hitting up the swanky afterparties being held in Los Angeles following the ceremony.
Among the stops, the expecting actress turned up at the InStyle/Warner Brothers bash and the Fox Searchlight After Party at the Beverly Hilton.
After taking home the Best Actress in a drama award for her role in ?Black Swan,? the beautiful brunette hobnobbed among fellow celebs, including the Nancy Utley and young ?Modern Family? actor, Rico Rodriguez.
Joined by her fiance/babydaddy, Benjamin Millepied, Ms Portman gave her beau an extra special thank you during her acceptance speech.
She said, ?Thank you to Benjamin, who is helping me continue this creation of creating more life.?

Natalie Portman won best actress at the Golden Globes last night for her role as a damaged ballerina in Black Swan. She was wearing a Pink satin Viktor & Rolf dress emblazoned with a giant red fabric rose at the bustline. The dress was prettier on camera, but it was a bizarre choice and didn’t particularly flatter her. It wasn’t awful I guess.
There’s some talk about Natalie’s acceptance speech, during which she went on about her co-star and now fiance, Benjamin Millepied, the “the ballet K-Fed.” Ben had a live-in girlfriend with a baby at home when he met Nataile on the Black Swan set, so it might not have been the best idea to make a reference to the way they fell in love, but Natalie did it anyway.
At first Natalie gave a shout out to her grandma Bernice in Cincinnati and mentioned that her mom and dad were there at the Globes. She thanked them “for bringing me into this world and giving me such a wonderful life.”
Then she started talking about Benjamin, as she’s been known to do throughout this press tour. “Thank you to Benjaim who is helping me continue this creation of creating more life. Benjamin choreographed the film and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask ‘would you sleep with that girl?’ he’s like ‘no.’ He’s the best actor, it’s not true, he totally wants to sleep with me.” [guffaws]
Natalie thanked her manager and her fellow actors including “Mila ‘Sweet Lips’ Kunis,” which was cute. She then gushed over the film’s director, Darren Aronofsky, and that’s when she started to bug me.
“Darren I met you ten years ago when we talked about this for the first time. Thank you for continuing to work on this movie and then to give me such a beautiful, beautiful gift with this role. Every time we finished our takes you would say ‘now do this one for yourself.’ And that gave me such beautiful inspiration as an actor to not just be a muse - that I could create on my own as well. I love you so much and you’re the most wonderful and I’m so grateful to you.”
It’s pretty typical as far as speeches go, but it could do with some toning down. I’m kind of hoping she doesn’t win the Oscar, although it’s likely that she will.
Also, doesn’t Darren Aronofsky look like the creepiest guy at the porn convention?

All prettied up for the red carpet festivities, Natalie Portman turned up for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (January 16).
Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the expecting actress was all smiles in the arrivals area before heading inside for the swanky ceremony.
Always praised for her work, Miss Portman is up for Best Actress for her work in "Black Swan" while competing against Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence and Michelle Williams.
Along with selecting the tops in cinema, the show also chose Robert De Niro to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for career achievement.
As for the ceremony, Ricky Gervais is the host for the Golden Globe Awards - which air live on NBC beginning at 8PM ET/PT.

Not letting her burgeoning baby bump slow her down, Natalie Portman looked radiant at the 16th annual Critics' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California on Friday evening (January 14).
Held at the Hollywood Palladium, the expecting "V for Vendetta" actress waltzed through the arrivals area to the delight of her many fans after having attended the AFI Awards earlier in the day.
Also nominated for Best Actress honors, Miss Portman's ballet flick "Black Swan" is up for 12 trophies while facing off against "127 Hours", "The Fighter", "Inception", "The King's Speech", "The Social Network", "The Town", "Toy Story 3", "True Grit" and "Winter's Bone" for Best Movie.
As for the ceremony, Kristin Chenoweth is the host for the Critics' Choice Awards - which air live on VH1 beginning at 9PM ET/PT.

She?s got a baby on the way and a fiance on her arm, and Natalie Portman is headed for domestic bliss.
But in her new film ?No Strings Attached,? the ?Black Swan? babe plays a woman who isn?t looking for a relationship, but rather just a good old fashioned roll in the hay.
Of her character Emma, Natalie told FOX411, ?Emma wants a relationship without the relationship. She just wants the sex. It?s unusual but funny.?
Portman added, ?I love romantic comedies, but I?m tired of seeing girls who want to get married all the time and that?s all they?re interested in. I think there is a wider vision of how women can conduct their lives and what they want.?
?I think you can find both men and women that are into non-emotional relationships, because you get hurt, and you don?t want to invest emotions in that way again. So many relationships these days are over texting, it prevents you from having to be intimate.?

As I said in the Ashton Kutcher-Demi Moore post, I?m splitting up the photos from the No Strings Attached premiere. This is the Natalie Portman post - because just like I could talk about Demi?s hair forever and a day, I could also talk about how much I?m enjoying Natalie Portman?s bad pregnancy style. Granted, this Vena Cava dress is probably one of the better things she?s worn since her belly ?popped? but that?s not really saying much. I don?t mind loose-cut black gowns on pregnant women. Ladies have earned the right to be comfortable, and to not shove their ?bumps? in our faces. My problem with Natalie?s dress is whatever the hell is happening at the neckline. Nude fabric and red halter/piping? The hell? I?m just going to say it: Natalie has a piping problem. There. It?s out there.
Here?s a closeup of Natalie?s engagement ring - it?s very fancy. Not my style, but I appreciate the craftsmanship.
And if you?re worried about Natalie doing to much in her condition, first of all, hahahahaha. She loves doing all of this. This is her Oscar campaign. Second of all, these events are all that she?s doing. Natalie told reporters: “I’m just doing these events, and then I’m going to try to take it easy.? She also said: ?I told [director] Darren Aronofsky, I was like, ‘First you got me skinny, and now you’re getting my fat,’ because he introduced me to my fiance. It’s the greatest gift he ever gave me.”
One last Portman thing - her ad for Miss Cherie Dior has come out. It?s pretty sexy - she?s topless and throwing a little sexy bitchface. Nice.

Enjoying a promotional evening out, Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore were all spotted at the premiere of ?No Strings Attached? last night (January 11).
The ?Butterfly Effect? stud and his ?Ghost? gal both looked lovely as they posed on the red carpet at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, California.
Meanwhile, newly-engaged and preggers Natalie Portman showed off her sense of style in a flirty black dress.
Ms. Portman told press she?s looking forward to her pregnancy weight gain. "I told [director] Darren Aronofsky, I was like, 'First you got me skinny, and now you're getting my fat,' because he introduced me to my fiance. It's the greatest gift he ever gave me."

Still fresh off of her big pregnancy/engagement news, Natalie Portman stepped out for a family shopping excursion at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (January 11).
The expecting actress was accompanied by her parents, Avner and Shelley, as well as her Yorkshire pooch, Charlie, while browsing the department store's racks for a little maternity wear.
Meanwhile, Natalie just so happens to be the cover girl for the February 2011 issue of InStyle magazine - in which she describes her ideal lover for the Valentine's edition.
The 29-year-old dished, "I look for all the same things I would in a friend. Obviously, you need the sexual attraction, too, so it's like your best friend who you are also really attracted to."
As for her baby on board, Portman said, "This is the most private of private experiences. But I am completely awed by the whole process we are living through. I cannot express how lucky I feel."
