Penelope Cruz made her directorial debut with this 5-minute short film forAgent Provocateur. The commercial is promotingL’Agent, the lingerie line she designed with her sister Monica Cruz.
In it is your usual Agent Provocateur commercial. Only this time with a lot more ass shots and women dressed in lingerie bending over doggy-style, lining the walls, spread eagle on a floatie and lounging seductively. Some even walk right up to the main guy and spread their legs. It looks like that dude is getting heart palpitations from just being there. Poor guy. Surrounded by all those beautiful women in lingerie. No, wait, fuck you.
Unfortunately for him, a drunk and homeless looking Javier Bardem shows up to ruin everything. Total cockblock, bro.

Just yesterday, we discussed the weekend photos of Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem in Madrid. I wrote, ?Penelope really looks like she?s ready to rock and roll any second.? And that?s what happened! Penelope gave birth to her second child yesterday, only nobody noticed because we were all paying attention to Duchess Kate. We don?t know if Penelope gave birth to a son or daughter (it took us a while to find out that her first kid was a boy too), and we don?t know the name of course.
Penelope Cruz has given birth to her second child – on the same day as the Royal baby. The world went into meltdown on Monday over news that the Duchess of Cambridge had given birth to a baby boy – the third in line to the throne.
But she wasn’t the only woman in the public eye to welcome a new addition to the family, as Spanish actress Penelope also gave birth to a baby girl on the same day.
The Spanish actress already has a two-year-old son, Leonardo, with husband Javier Bardem.
And now a representative has confirmed to Hello! magazine she’s welcomed her second child. Although it is not yet known the name of the baby in question, we do know the baby was born on the same day Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge announced they’d welcomed a baby boy at St Mary’s Hospital in London, weighing in at 8Ibs, 6oz.
But while the Royals are expected to let the public know about their child, Cruz and Bardem are notoriously private and kept the details of their first child under wraps as long as possible.
She recently said of her children: ‘I want my son and my kids – if I have more – to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible. The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work we do doesn’t give anybody the right to invade our privacy.’
Penelope was last seen just a couple of days ago when she looked ready to pop.

Congrats to Penelope! If she had given birth in London, her baby might have gotten one of those specially minted pence pieces that are being given to babies born on the same day as HRH Prince Crumpets. But I think she gave birth in Madrid ? that?s where they were over the weekend, and that?s where their extended family lives. Anyway, congrats to Javi and Penelope on what I?m sure is yet another gorgeous Spanish baby.
UPDATE: People Magazine says it’s a girl! What if Prince Crumpets ends up with Lola Cruz-Bardem?!

Due to give birth any time now, Penelope Cruz took care of some errands on Wednesday (May 29) in Madrid, Spain.
Showing off her prominent baby bump in jeans and a Rolling Stones tee, the Spanish star met up with some pals for part of the day as she finished up her business.
The expected arrival will be the second child for the Academy Award winning actress and her husband Javier Bardem, who have been preparing 2-year-old Leo for his new sibling.
As the couple have done with their firstborn, they plan to keep their latest addition out of the spotlight as much as possible. In a recent interview, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" cutie told reporters, "I want my son and my kids - if I have more - to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible. The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work we do doesn't give anybody the right to invade our privacy."

Taking a break from her busy schedule, Penelope Cruz graced the November 2012 issue of Spanish Vogue magazine.
The 38-year-old actress looked stunning in a sexy Armani Priv dress for the Tom Munro shot front page while opening up about everything from her latest movie role to the values she learned from her parents.
A few highlights from Miss Cruz's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Spanish Vogue!
On her "Twice Born" character Gemma:
"When the doctor confirmed she is infertile, life changes completely and becomes obsessed with finding the child. Gemma and Diego decide to adopt a child and a woman attending physiologist. She says a phrase that is one of the most important of the novel that I was particular moved by. He says he wants that child to be a lock of meat between the two. But in the end, the child becomes in the most unexpected."
On coming from a hard-working family:
"These are values that are not learned in theory. You learn because you see them in your house all day. At home there was not much money, but my parents worked very hard to make, for example, Monica and I could study ballet or Eduardo received guitar lessons."
On how she deals with all the pressure that comes with her career:
"Of course, I never imagined all the things that were going to happen. There was a moment when everything revolved around work and carried a crazy pace, which I felt a great emptiness and I destabilized. But I managed to recover and give this job fair value. There are many more important things in life."

The ?Vanilla Sky? hottie really takes things to the next level with her posing prowess and raw sex appeal in the fabulous photo spread.
Of the project, Penelope explained, ?I found the superstitious theme extremely intriguing and stimulating. As an actress I am often challenged to portray the ?unexplainable? and this shoot was no different.?
?We created a character who had to convey a strong, positive attitude, and really get to the heart of each superstition and dispel these myths by promoting confidence. I hope people enjoy the photos as much as we have enjoyed creating them.?

Penelope Cruz was just named the face of Campari and to celebrate, she posed for the 2013 Campari Calendar in 13 shots with the theme “Kiss Superstition Goodbye.”
Black cats, broken mirrors, walking under ladders, it’s all here and she’s doing all of them in red. By the end of this shoot she’ll have bad luck for 7 years, know that something terrible is about to happen (black cat) and break her mother’s back for walking on a crack. Worst. Photoshoot. Ever.

Looking like a vision in blue, Penelope Cruz made a stunning arrival to the premiere of ?Venuto Al Mondo? in Rome, Italy on Monday (November 5).
The 38 year-old Spanish beauty rocked a one-shoulder floor length gown as she posed for photos alongside Italian actor/director Sergio Castellitto and writer Margaret Mazzantini at The Space Moderno before heading in to show off her latest work.
?Venuto Al Mondo? also known as ?Twice Born,? follows a single mother who brings her teenage son to Sarajevo, where his father died in the Bosnian conflict years ago.
Speaking about the film, which is based off of a same-titled book by Miss Mazzantini, Penelope said, "I think this movie is homage to all women, a homage to motherhood," adding, ?It's a homage to that relationship of mother and child."

Taking care of some international promotions, Penelope Cruz showed up at a photocall for her new film ?Venuto Al Mondo? in Rome, Italy today (November 5).
Joined by Saadet Aksoy, Sergio Castellitto, Margaret Mazzantini, Adnan Haskovic, and Pietro Castellitto, the ?Vanilla Sky? actress was all smiles as she posed for the shutterbugs outside the St. Regis.
And while she?s been busy with media duties as of late, Penelope recently told press that her real passion is taking care of her family, especially her son Leo- ?It's everything you've heard about, but it's so many other things as well.?
?From the moment you have a child everything changes, everything. You look at the world in a completely different way through your child's eyes. The way he looks at the sun and the moon and the stars, and the way he is so impressed by nature, he is really making me reconnect with it. It's true that you revisit your own childhood. It releases things that you thought you had forgotten.?

| Penelope Cruz in vintage red Gianni Versace: very hot or too matchy matchy? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Penelope Cruz has strutted her delicious stuff at the official Venuto al Mondo premiere at the San Sebastian festival, and I am experiencing very mixed feelings towards this look compared to yesterday’s photocall event. Penelope is wearing a vintage red Gianni Versace dress here, and Kaiser has remarked that the dress feels a bit too short. I agree — this dress feels very glamorous and like it should be floor length, but instead, we’re getting an odd view of a pair of too matchy-matchy Ferragamo sandals. Penelope’s hair and makeup are very sleek and fitting for this look, so it’s really only the odd dress length holding up this outfit.
Other than fashion, Penelope has many more things on her mind. For example, she’s very concerned about the economic plight of her native Spanish people, so she has promised to produce a few films per year in Spain that will create jobs for hundreds of workers. Behold:
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz said in an interview published Saturday by Italian daily La Stampa that she plans to produce at least two films a year in her homeland to create jobs amid sky-high unemployment.
“I want to bring jobs to my people … I’ll use my privileged position. It’s what interests me the most right now. I know it’s a grain of sand in the desert, but it’s a responsibility I think I have,” Cruz said. “I’ll produce a couple of films a year. A way to give work to hundreds of people. It’s a set idea I have.”
Cruz, winner of a best-supporting actress Oscar for her role as an unstable artist in Woody Allen’s 2008 comedy-drama Vicky Cristina Barcelona, said she has worked hard but also has had a lot of opportunities in life.
The talents of “an entire generation of highly trained young people” are being wasted, Cruz said, adding that though they have lots to offer there is nothing for them to do but “bang their heads against the wall or go out in the street and protest.”
“The disaster in Spain and the problems in Italy are visible to everyone, but also think about what’s happening in Syria or Africa. It’s unacceptable, painful and sad. Like Robert Redford said, today the world’s not a good place,” Cruz said.
Regarding the global economic slowdown, the actress said the decisions governments have adopted to solve the problem “are wrong-headed and are creating more and more desperation.”
Referring specifically to Spain, she said only that she is in “total disagreement” with the policies of conservative Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s administration.
Spain’s economy has been battered in recent years by the collapse of a massive real-estate bubble in the context of the 2008-2009 global recession. The country also is seeking to bring its budget deficit as a percentage of gross domestic product into line with European Union mandates.
[From Fox News Latino]
At this point, I wish that this story revolved around the subject of parenthood, which is controversial in its own way but is something with which I at least have a bit of experience, but economics? That’s a tough one. Penelope’s been delving a bit towards the political lately. And I’m not even talking about the above interview because the film that she’s promoting has a lot to do with it since it’s set against the backdrop of the Balkan Wars. Penelope also stated her general opinion on war: “I think war is always useless, but if you are going to ask me for the solution of conflict, I have nothing. But I don’t think war is the one.” Certainly, it’s a tricky topic. Most people would agree that war for the sake of war is wrong, but an alternative is very hard to come by these days.
However, I do admire Penelope for putting some money where her mouth is and producing films in Spain to create jobs. A lot of actors will whine and complain about political injustices (ahem, Sean Penn), but at least Penelope’s doing something to help remedy the situation.
