I?m not sure how many people care about this story, but it struck me as both newsworthy and odd. Over the summer, the third Bridget Jones film was announced. The producers were still in the early, early stages, and it was generally thought that once a good script draft came along, the film would probably be made, most likely filming sometime next year. A month ago there was even a report that Renee was refusing to gain weight for the third film, and that she was demanding a fat suit.
Renee walked the red carpet for Elle?s Women in Hollywood event last night, and she looked really pretty, didn?t she? That?s a great color on her, and though I still think she?s too skinny, this is the best she?s looked in a while, in my opinion. While on the red carpet, Renee did the media rounds and she was asked about Bridget Jones. She totally denied there was a third film in preproduction to multiple outlets. When asked by OK! Magazine about her return as Bridget, Renee said ?I don?t know anything. Who said that?? When asked about the ?rumors? of a third film, Renee said: ??Oh, goody!?? It is flattering. It?s very sweet.? If anyone hears anything about a third Bridget Jones movie, Renee Zellweger would like to know.
At Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood Tribute in Beverly Hills Monday, Zellweger, 40, told Usmagazine.com that she has no idea about a third go-round for her famous British heroine (she gained about 40 pounds — and received $15 million — for Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason). “I don’t know!” she laughed. “Isn’t that funny? I get asked that every single day and I don’t know anything. It’s like a rumor!”
What’s definitely on her radar lately: renovating her apartment. “I haven’t had the nervous breakdown yet and I haven’t been committed,” she boasted. “That’s no small miracle. I’m very proud of that part.”
Zellweger explained that she’s living adjacent to the apartment during construction. “I’m safely away from the asbsestos and whatever else we might unearth.”
The Oscar-winner says that decorating “used to be a lot of fun, but now its too many decisions to make!”
The famously fit star prefers to watch other people’s renovations at the gym. “I go to the treadmill,” she explains, “and I choose between the Yankees and the Angels game or some guy in Australia buying a new apartment. I want to see what he’s going to buy!”
Zellweger has been romantically linked to Bradley Cooper and recently visited him on the Vancouver set of The A-Team.

Uh? I think Renee is on drugs. The third film has been announced. It?s on IMDB. Someone has spoken to her about it, I?m sure. So what is with Renee?s ditz act? Is she holding out for more money? Could be. But I think Renee simply doesn?t want to do a third Bridget film because she doesn?t want to gain the weight again. And I also think that Renee doesn?t want to fly over to England for half a year to make a film because things are going so well between her and Bradley Cooper. Call me crazy, but I think she?s head over heels in love with that guy, and she?s putting everything on hold, preparing to really settle down with him.

She’s one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood, and last night (October 19) Renee Zellweger was spotted at the 16th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood event.
The “Bridget Jones’ Diary” babe looked amazing as she arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, sporting a sexy red strapless dress.
And according to a report, Renee wasn’t alone as she hobnobbed with fellow guests at the shindig- she had a mystery man date.
A source told press that it was the same gentleman caller who went shopping with her in SoHo during a recent trip to New York City.

Renee Zellweger could not resist living apart from her beau actor Bradley Cooper as the actress travelled all the way to Vancouver to spend a few days with him.The “Hangover” star has been filming “The A-Team” in Vancouver and Zellweger was spotted arriving at Vancouver`s International Airport Wednesday night, reported People magazine online.Renee has been shooting in New York and Paris, but seems to have taken some time off to visit Cooper, who is also her co-star in upcoming films “New in Town” and “Case 39?.The couple and three friends arrived around 10 pm on Thursday night at Market, a Jean-Georges restaurant at downtown Vancouver`s Shangri-La Hotel.“Whenever they were speaking, they had their hands on each other`s knees underneath the table, and they also held hands,” said fellow diner DJ Leanne, a Vancouver-based deejay.“They were very cute. They really looked like a couple, and that they were `together`,” she added.“Rene was very happy. She was laughing, smiling. They were very cute. They were definitely having a good time and seemed happy,” said Leanne.

Getting in one last day of Paris Fashion Week action, Renee Zellweger was spotted out and about in the City of Lights earlier today (October 7).
The “Bridget Jones” actress looked a bit tuckered out from all the festivities as she grabbed two cups of coffee from a nearby Starbucks coffeehouse.
Over the weekend, Miss Zellweger and a girlfriend were spotted touring Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Luxor Hotel & Casino.
Renee seemed keenly interested in the various items recovered from the shipwreck. And when she got to the Grand Staircase, she did a Jack & Rose photo op with her gal pal, in the spirit of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

Enjoying a leisurely afternoon outing, Renee Zellweger looked fit and fabulous as she picked up a few drinks at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in West Hollywood on Tuesday (September 29).
Clad in her workout gear, the “Bridget Jones” babe toted her purchases out of the local establishment while smiling for paparazzi before loading into her nearby car.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced that Paramount Pictures will finally be releasing Renee’s movie “Case 39” in theaters across the country on January 1, 2010 – delayed from the expected 2008 release date.
The flick is about “A social worker (Zellweger) who fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected.”

I?ve mentioned this before, but I love the Bridget Jones character, and I love Renee Zellweger as that character. Even though I didn?t care for the sequel book or film, I still love the franchise, and I was thrilled when they announced the third film over the summer. At the time of the announcement, the start date for the production was left up in the air, and many people assumed that was because it would take Renee Zellweger months to put on her Bridget Jones pounds.
For the first film, Renee put on something like 25 to 30 pounds to play Bridget, and she looked lovely with the extra weight. For the sequel, Renee seemed to put on even more weight, and ended up looking rather puffy and sketchy. I was hoping for a return to the first film?s weight gain, but my hopes were just dashed. A source just told the British magazine Reveal (story via the NY Daily News) that Renee isn?t interested in gaining weight for the role for a third time, and that she?ll most likely wear padding and/or a ?fat suit?.
Renee Zellweger famously packed on the pounds to play “Bridget Jones,” but she’ll be faking the fat for the third installment of the popular film franchise, according to a report.
“Renee will be wearing a fat suit in the third film, as it took her a while to lose the weight last time,” a source revealed to British magazine Reveal. “She’s also thinking about the effect quickly putting on and then losing 30 pounds has on her body.”
While some fans and bloggers are worried Zellweger’s portrayal of “Bridget Jones” will be less authentic the third go-round if she dons a fat suit, the actress has voiced concern over gaining weight for the famous role in the past.
“My body is whacked by the time we finish one of those ['Bridget Jones' movies],” Zellweger told the Daily Mail in December 2007.
She went on to tell the Mail how the 2004 fast-food documentary “Supersize Me” scared her.
“I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you, long term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time and they’re all saying, ‘You must stop this now or you’re going to die.’ “

Oh for goodness sake, Renee. It?s like she never stopped to think that maybe she didn?t have to take off every single little pound she gained for the Bridget Jones films. It?s like she never looked in the mirror and said, ?Yes, I am scary skinny, maybe putting on five pounds would be a good thing.? I like her and everything, but I do wonder if she has some serious body image issues. From her too-thin frame, to her trying-too-hard posing, I think Renee has gotten weird.
I also wonder if she?s refusing to put on the weight because she?s in a relationship with Bradley Cooper now, and she thinks that if she gains some weight, it will affect her relationship in a negative way. Maybe it will - God knows what kind of body type Bradley goes for, but I tend to think he would be understanding about the situation.

Making the most of her time up north, Renee Zellweger was spotted doing a little retail therapy in Vancouver, Canada yesterday afternoon (September 13).
The “Bridget Jones’ Diary” actress looked to be in good spirits as she stopped into a coffeeshop for a post-shopping pick-me-up as the paparazzi fired away.
As for her taste in men, Renee recently told press that she prefers to have a mate who is as handsome inside as he is outside.
“What I look for in a man is the same thing I look for when I choose to be friends with anyone I have in my life. I look for kindness. I like clever folks. I like people who are concerned with what the path they leave behind them looks like. I look for empathy, humour, wit, self reliance and honesty. Attractive looks don’t hurt either!”

They’ve tried to keep their romance as quiet as possible, but now Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper may be taking the next big step- moving in together.
Rumor has it that the “Bridget Jones’ Diary” babe and her “The Hangover” hunk are talking over the idea of cohabitation, despite the fact that they’ve only been together a short time.
An inside source told Star magazine, “Renee and Bradley have both been traveling a lot lately promoting their movies, but when he finally gets to go home to L.A., she’ll live with him at his place in Venice Beach.”
And it sounds like Mr. Cooper has pulled out all the stops for his new lady friend. “Bradley set up a bathroom in the house that Rene can call her own. It’s stocked with her favorite candles, perfumes and makeup — even pajamas and an electric toothbrush.”

While out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday (August 31), Renee Zellweger was involved in a minor car accident.
According to a report, the “Bridget Jones’ Diary” babe was uninjured during the incident which was said to have occurred in the morning hours.
A police officer told press, “A green Ford Explorer made an illegal U-turn in front of her silver Mercedes. Ms. Zellweger was not injured, the damage to her car was very minor. She was very polite and sincere.”
The officer added, “The incident will be handled between their insurance companies. Ms. Zellweger requested her car be towed from the scene, and also requested that officers call her a cab.”

Continuing with her promotional duties for her new flick “My One and Only,” Renee Zellweger was spotted paying a visit to “The Late Show with David Letterman” yesterday (August 20).
The “Me, Myself, and Irene” actress looked fabulous in a sexy blue dress as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre ahead of her interview.
During their conversation, Renee told Dave, “I’ve been all over the place. This has been the summer I’ve been catching up. You know you say, ‘One day I’d really like to ...?’ I’ve been doing all those things. I finished filming in January-February. And I’ve been running around since.”
As for her new Mexican Restaurant Blue Parrot in East Hampton, she explained, “And you know you say, ‘Oh, it would be fun one day to open a restaurant?’ So I did! I like a good taco … and being a Texan, I’m very critical of guacamole!”
Renee and Dave ended out their interview by beating up on a large guacamole-filled piata, with Zellweger shouting “Where are the chips? Where are the chips?” as the green dip poured out.
