Tara Reid is one of those actresses who tabloids and mean girls have always considered to be fair game. I know she has her demons, but as Britney has reminded us, tabloid culture in the late 1990s/early 2000s was absolutely brutal and a complete double-standard. Over the years, Tara has been scrutinized for her social life, looks, and interviews she?s given while seemingly not-fully sober. She?s not perfect, and she?s had bad public moments (likely a result of her substance abuse issues), but she doesn?t seem like a bad person. One of the most frequent things that Tara gets criticized for is her weight. Over the years, Tara has received unwanted comments about her weight, and periodically, she gives an interview to clap back at the noise. Following her recent appearance on season two of Special Forces: World?s Toughest Test, Tara has faced another round of what she considers to be skinny-shaming and concern-trolling. Once again, Tara is trying to set the record straight.
The Days of Our Lives alum, 47, recently spoke to the Los Angeles Inquisitor and opened up about the constant criticism she receives about her weight.
?If we were overweight then they can?t say anything because that?s bullying. But it?s the same thing if you?re skinny. That?s still bullying too,? [Reid] said.
Reid said her body has been a topic of discussion since the early 2000s when her career kicked off. However, she?s received more criticism lately after appearing in season 2 of Special Forces: World?s Toughest Test. Now she?s hoping to shut down the speculation that she?s suffered from eating disorders once and for all.
?I have no anorexia and never have,? she clarified. ?And I definitely don?t have any bulimia. I?m terrified of throwing up, so that?s not gonna happen. And I love food too much. So anyone that says I?m anorexic or bulimic, they?re wrong. So stop it. Leave me alone. Pick on me again on something else, but not on those two things. It?s not right.?
The American Pie star has previously slammed some of the body-shaming she?s gotten over the years. Back in 2021, Reid took to Instagram to shut down the hate she received after posting a photo of herself in a bikini.
?I am not too skinny, I have a high metabolism,? she told her followers. ?Anyone with a high metabolism understands it?s impossible to gain weight. All I do is eat. To everyone who wrote something nice and stuck up for me, I love you! And keep spreading that love, it is the only thing that will save this world.?
The actress later told PageSix that she was ?doing well? despite the constant scrutiny.
?I?ve always been thin,? Reid said at the time. ?So these stories are kind of crazy because it?s like there?s nothing that has changed for forever. This is who I am, this is what I am, this is what I?m [aspiring] to be.
Reid explained that hopefully her self-love and acceptance will ?change the minds of bullies.? However, if not, then she?s ?OK with that.?
?I?ve gone through it for so many years that, you know, sometimes I feel bad for them because if they?re that miserable writing things at home, what are they doing?? she said. ?That?s negative. You know, it?s hurtful.?
?Love will always beat hate,? Reid added. ?It?s just so hard to find love because you?ve got to find it in yourself first.?

Honestly, I feel for Tara, because I think she is one of those people who just cannot beat her demons. I get what she?s saying about commenting on weight being a double-standard. Even if she were too thin as the result of disordered eating or drug use, there?s a difference between trying to shame someone publicly for being ?too thin? and sitting them down in private to find out if they are okay. Tara infamously had an unfortunate boob job and some pretty bad liposuction done back in 2004 because even though she knew she was skinny, she ?wanted a six pack.? She suffered through years of ridicule and was asked about it so many times in subsequent interviews that it couldn?t have been good for her mental health. Honestly, for all of her talk about self-love, something in her words worries me that she still isn?t quite there yet. I hope this is just a case of, ?You cant tell tone over text,? though, and that she really is finally doing better. Also, I just went back and relistened to that wild exchange she had with Jenny McCarthy several years ago, and her bitchy quip, ?I hope your tits get even nicer, because they?re amazing. The same guy who did mine, right?? is giving me life right now.

I usually get excited about Tara Reid this time of year because it means I get to write about whatever her latest Halloween ?costume? is. Unfortunately, my first Tara post of the season is not one I want to write. It seems as though Tara has been up to some of her less desirable behavior, this time causing enough of a disturbance on a flight to be removed from the plane. According to TMZ, Tara was on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York City when she became belligerent over not being given a pillow after finding out shed not been assigned the window seat as shed expected. The crew tried to appease her but things escalated to the point that the pilot returned to the gate and Tara and her dog were asked to leave.
Tara Reid was removed from a Delta flight on Monday following a ?disturbance? onboard.
The actress was seen being asked to leave by a flight attendant in a video obtained by TMZ. Reid, 42, could be seen wearing a black coat, a red beanie and carrying her dog in one arm.
A rep for the actress did not have a comment.
Delta spokesman Ashton Kang told PEOPLE in a statement Delta Flight 613 from Los Angeles to New York City ?returned to the gate, prior to takeoff, due to a customer disturbance on board.?
?Delta apologizes to the remaining customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience as the situation was resolved,? Kang said. ?The flight re-departed for New York following a short delay.?

The TMZ video mentioned only shows Tara complying with crew instructions and leaving the flight. She looks pissed, yes, but not any more than any of us would be. So I can?t say for sure how heated it got. I do know that pilots are loathe to turn a flight around on the tarmac so her behavior must have warranted it. Most of us hate to be on a flight with a toddler having a tantrum, let alone an adult having one. According to TMZ, Tara also complained about the woman in front of her reclining her seat. The report is that Tara, ?flew into a rage,? so my guess is that when she involved another passenger, thats when she was told to leave. However, no police were involved and Tara caught a later flight, presumably without incident. Shes issued a statement claiming the issue was because they wouldnt let her dog sit next to her.
Its not cool to disrupt anyone?s day in such a way, especially not a plane full of people. But this is getting even more attention because it comes on the heels of a bizarre interview Tara gave for an Australian talk show to promote The Last Sharknado *pours one out for the Sharknado franchise*. The interview was impeded by a time delay that has Tara talking over the hosts? questions. However, she also slurs her answers and rambles, repeating a few phrases over and over, seemingly losing track of her thoughts. In her statement on the incident, she didn?t deny any speculation, just thanked her fans for standing by her and said she was, ?in great spirits and health.? I hope so. I hope someone is looking out for her and not just because Halloween party season is upon us.

Back in September, you may remember that Tara Reid posted a selfie of her face looking battered. The photo frightened some people at first because they thought something horrible had happened. Fortunately, the only tragedy was how bad the makeup job was. Tara admitted the photo was promotion for her new movie, Worthless, that deals with bullying. The film comes out in September and even while promoting her current effort, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, she took the opportunity to plug Worthless as well. Tara is really pushing the bullying angle of the film and to that end, she mentioned how she has repeatedly been bullied for her slight frame. Tara then reiterated that it’s not fair because she eats all the time and is “just a thin girl.”
AsTara Reidcontinues to find success with help fromher memorable roles in theSharknadofranchise, the actress is opening up about her experiences with bullies.
“Bullying is such a big deal these days and it’s something I very much personalized with,” Tara explained to E! News’Will Marfuggiwhile at Universal Studios Hollywood. “In my life, I’ve had a lot of bullying and I know what that feels like and how much it hurt.”
She continued, “What people don’t realize is that there’s so much kinds of bullying: Social media bullying, cyber bullying, physical bullying, mental bullying, there’s different kinds and today it’s so bad that people are committing suicide and overdosing.”
In her upcoming movie titledWorthless, Tara will tackle the subject of bullies and body shaming. In fact, she hopes the project will be a teachable moment for many moviegoers across the country.
“I think this movie could affect a lot of people and really think twice before you have something negative to bully on someone,” she shared. “One word can change someone’s life.”
And while Tara may be focused on her exciting projects, she just can’t seem to avoid the few negative comments online from certain haters. It’s one of the many reasonsWorthlesswas such an important project to do.
“I’ve definitely felt bullying in my life. With media or press or just different things in my life,” she explained. “People always say I don’t eat. I eat all the time. They call me scary skinny. You’re my friend; everyone knows I eat more than anyone. I’m just a thin girl.”
Tara continued, “The body shaming that is going on right now is to a degree that is so bad for girls and I really relate to that and I understand that so this movie meant a lot to me.”

I don?t want to detract from a discussion about bullying. Most people still associate bullying with ?shoving kids in lockers? and it’s much larger than that so on the one hand, I applaud anyone who speaks up against it. And Tara has talked about being thin-shamed before. But here’s my issues with Tara’s comments: yes, she’s always been fit but she has lost a noticeable amount of weight over the last decade. She can’t pretend she hasn’t because there’s photographic evidence that she has. So I support Tara’s right to look however she wants but I don’t support her right to rewrite history.
My other issue is that I still feel Tara and the filmmakers are being disingenuous using bullying as their platform for promotion. The way they make it sound you’d think the movie was some gut-wrenching PSA exposing the bullying epidemic. Maybe it discusses the subject in some way but unless there has been a major rewrite, this is a B-horror film that sounds like it ultimately ends up glorifying revenge violence. Tara Reid went to yet another star-studded Halloween party, this time for Trick or treats! – The 6th Annual treats! Magazine Halloween. After channeling her inner Greek Goddess for the Maxim party, Tara’s second Halloween ensemble was holiday appropriation. Her sex kitten Santa consisted of a pair of headbands around her boobs and an unsuspecting swan glued to a spandex mini skirt. She topped it off with a Santa hat for that touch of authenticity we’ve come to expect at these parties. For the eagled-eyed observer, you?ll see that she cheekily wore her diamond heart pendant, bringing Valentine?s Day into the mix, just to keep things spicy. Of course, she tied the whole look together with her favorite acrylic wedges. Those shoes really should be burned in a ritualistic way to make sure they never come back:

I eat, I eat, I eat.” Substitute “eat” with “drink” and I would be more inclined to agree. Apparently the dude in the flight suit her was her date, although I have no ID on who he is. Because I give Tara grief, I want to also give her credit when due. I did not realize that she donated a portion of the proceeds from her autograph signing at Geek?d Con to help the Louisiana flood victims earlier this year. Good for her.

Tara Reid got into the holiday spirit at Maxim magazine?s Halloween Party on Saturday by decking herself out in the Greek Goddess costume above. You can tell she?s a Greek Goddess because that?s what she said on her Instagram. Her ensemble involved a black and gold bra and a black? belt? What should we call that bottom bit there? Maybe a mutilated towel? She finished her look off with a gold laurel headband, acrylic wedges and a whole bunch of skin.
I am having a hard time pinpointing exactly which Greek Goddess she is. My first thought was maybe she is Artemis and Tara just covered her breast because she’s so modest. But the gold laurel screams Nike, doesn?t it? And the stick-straight hair? Clearly historical accuracy was her main goal. I love that the writer of this Daily Mail article whipped out all of Tara?s cinematic efforts as descriptors, just in case anyone might forget where they?d seen her before. Tara spent a lot of time posing for the photographers on the red carpet, at one point moving her hair out of the way so they could get a decent cleavage shot. You know what? If she is still generating this kind of interest on the red carpet ? then go get yours, girl. Since I defend Ariel Winters right to dress however she wants, I shouldn’t comment on this patchwork of sewn-together cocktail napkins.
The party sounded like a real humdinger, too – I?m sorry I missed it! Also attending were Monica Sims, Stefanie Knight, Rachel McCord, Nicole Williams, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills stars EJ Johnson and Dorothy Wang, professional hanger-on Casper Smart, Drake?s dad Dennis Graham, Reality stars Aubrey O’Day and Pauly D and Dancing with the Stars pro Sharna Burgess. Tara Reid is having a rough couple of months, not that that’s any departure for the way she normally lives her life. She got into an unnecessary beef with Jenny McCarthy forcing many of us to utter for the first time, ?I agree with Jenny McCarthy.” She’s been catching a lot of flack for her very thin appearance and admitted to faking a relationship just so she could appear on a second-rate reality show. Most recently, she trolled us with a poorly executed Instagram post for her latest movie, the schlock-horror-posing-as-a-moral-tale film, Worthless. Apparently, filming for a New York minute wiped her out. So much so that she remained planted in an airport bar as her plane took off for LA without her. Never fear, though, her people assure us that exhaustion was to blame. Uh-huh. And did her “exhaustion” come in a shot glass or over ice?
Tara Reid missed a flight to LA on Saturday because she was too busy hanging at an airport bar, a source said.
Reid was seen at Jack Duggan?s Pub inside Philadelphia International Airport.
A witness told us, ?Tara was beyond tipsy? and was ?sharing an egg sandwich with an air traveler.?
The ?Sharknado? actress, 40, was in Philly to film ?Worthless.?
A rep for Reid said: ?She was exhausted from filming. Missed her flight and got on the next one. She wasn?t tipsy but extremely tired from filming.?

I love the egg sandwich detail. I get that the witness wasn?t privy to all the details but this gives me the mental image of Tara ?exhaustedly? stumbling over to some poor unsuspecting traveller, sticking her finger into his/her sandwich while ?tiredly? slurring, ?were you going to eat that??
Tara blew what small chance Sharknado afforded her to get back in the game. Granted everyone was pretty stunned that a tornado of sharks could turn into a four+ film franchise, but Tara could have maybe found a kitsch niche ala Bruce Campbell and stayed relevant for a little longer. But she didn?t. She fell right back into her ?exhausted? ways, picking fights and stumbling through appearances. Fine, that?s her prerogative but don?t try to tell us she?s just really pooped. When I was her age, I was still planning meetings and conventions. Even after six weeks of three different cities (in different states) a week with 5AM call times following late night flights, I never missed a plane. And I was pretty f–king exhausted.
Although, I do like a good sandwich. Maybe the shared egg sammie was just worth missing a cross-country flight for?

I side-eyed Amy Schumer?s need for attention yesterday. However, Tara Reid just made Amy?s antics look positively demure. Tara is in New Jersey filming a movie called Worthless. At least I think she is – Sunday she said she was flying to Philadelphia to film it. Worthless is, according to the writers and cast, a feature film that addresses bullying. To promote the movie, Tara thought this would be a good idea:

Tara Reid has been looking… altered for some time now. She’s very small (she hasn’t always been this thin) and there’s definitely something off about her. Other than saying that she has new too-large veneers I’m not going to get into it, but you can check out the Instagram pic below and read between the lines. Tara was at the Sharknado 4 premiere in this very sheer Michael Costello gown with a glittery leaf pattern and nude colored undies as coverage. The dress looks like it’s made of pantyhose and sequins. This is bizarre to me because I’ve seen Project Runway finalist Costello’s gowns on several other celebrities, including Meghan Trainor, Laverne Cox and Queen Latifah and they’re usually covered up and looking classy. Not Tara obviously.
Sharknado: The 4th Awakens aired on Syfy last night, during which it was the number one trending topic on Twitter. It will air countless more times if you missed it, and E! has a (spoilers) recap of all the weirdest moments. I saw the original Sharknado when it aired in theaters in 2014 and I was unprepared for the fate of Tara Reid’s character. Tara has some thoughts about her character’s abilities. This show has become a cult hit which no one expected, including Tara’s costar, Ian Ziering. In an interview with US Magazine, Ziering said that he did the first movie because he needed the money and health insurance and that he was hoping no one would watch it. “I was having a baby four months later and I needed to provide for my family. I thought the movie would be horrible and I prayed that it would disappear and no one would watch it!”

She showed off her very ample cleavage and extremely thin frame in a Pink and blue mismatched two-piece – the top printed with palm trees and the bottom with large flowers.
