Cara Delevingne ?debuted? her shaved head at the Met Gala, and ever since, I?ve been believing that she shaved her head FOR the Met Gala, like it was a dramatic styling choice for the model-actress. No. That?s not the case. She shaved her head for a movie role, Life in a Year. So Cara?s shaved head won?t be going away any time soon. Cara attended the MTV Movie & TV Awards last night in this little black Saint Laurent dress. I like the dress, I like the boots, and I don?t have an opinion on the shaved head, honestly. She looks like an alien but? I sort of enjoy her alien vibes.
Gal Gadot appeared at the MTV Awards because she?s shilling Wonder Woman. I?m worried about how little support WW has at this point. But here?s Gal, looking gorgeous in a simple Cinq a Sept dress.
Amandla Stenberg in Fendi. This is sort of adorable? except for the shoes. The shoes are awful. But she?s lovely and the Fendi dress is okay (I could do without the chest pockets, but whatever).
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Jonathan Simkhai. She?s on Fargo now and I love her styling on the show, so I?m perturbed to see her with bangs and a ruffled, almost-twee dress. Eh. She needs to wear more ?70s-inspired stuff because that would look amazing on her figure.

She has spoken out about her battle with depression, which left her feeling suicidal during her teenage years.
The model-turned-actress has said that there was a period of her life when she ?didn?t want to exist anymore?.
In a candid new interview with Esquire, the 23-year-old said: ?I think I properly started dealing with depression when I was about 16.

Oh, good. I was worried we were going to have to get through the summer without seeing Cara Delevingne roll her eyes through another promotional tour. Cara is gearing up to promote Suicide Squad, so she covers the June/July cover of W Magazine. And because she?s an actress now and not a model, she?s doing her Angry Baby Face in every photo ? you can see W?s slideshow here. If Bella Hadid?s one expression is set to ?sedated,? Cara?s expression is always set to ?sullen.? Anyway, Cara says many words to W Magazine now that she?s an actress! Some highlights:
Wanting to be someone else: ?When I was a kid, I always wanted to be other people. I went through different stages: I was a few Spice Girls for a while?first Baby, then Sporty, and then Ginger. I was never Posh, because she wore little black dresses, and I didn?t want to be that kind of girl. Beyond that, I only dreamed of being male superheroes. Spider-Man, especially, had a cool costume and cool toys. There were not many strong superhero-type women, apart from Wonder Woman?but I didn?t want to be a 5-year-old running around in, like, a bikini.?
How she got the part in Suicide Squad: ?I met the director, David Ayer, at a hotel in London on a dark and stormy night. He didn?t tell me anything about the movie. Instead, he showed me pictures of these amazing, enlightened, powerful, but very evil women. He spoke to me about addiction and mental illness, which are things I find very, very interesting. The next time I met David was at his house in L.A. He asked me to read a scene from Who?s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I love that play and had acted in it at school when I was 17, so I was excited. Somehow, when we were doing the scene, I became livid. I hadn?t felt rage like that in years. And then I got the part! There still wasn?t a script, but David asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did. There wasn?t a full moon, but I howled like a wolf. It would have been really funny if someone had seen me.?
Research for Paper Towns: ?Growing up in England, I thought everything I saw in American films was fake. I didn?t think New York was a real place! So it was the same with high schools. When we made the movie, I actually got a locker and popped into classes at a real high school. Last year at CinemaCon, I received an award for Paper Towns, which was funny because the movie hadn?t come out yet. I said, ?None of you have actually seen me act, but thank you for trusting that I can.?
She?s dark: ?I like anything intense. When I was a child, I was obsessed with blood and death. This sounds really dark, but my earliest memory is of cutting myself. I was pretending to shave like my dad. One time, I covered my face in shaving foam, and I got his razor and ran it along the bottom of my finger and nearly cut it off. Do you want to see the scar? It?s barely visible now. But I like knowing that it?s there.?

There?s a lot to unpack. First of all, I wish she had said a bit more about cutting herself, meaning she should have and could have given that a better context instead of saying she was “obsessed with blood and death.” Cutting can be a serious disorder and it?s important to discuss the psychology of cutting, and give it a proper context. I worry that she’s dismissing how serious it is. As for thinking everything in American films was fake? really? She didn?t know that New York was a place that really existed? That seems very sheltered. And as for the director telling her to walk naked through a forest? that seems like an inappropriate suggestion, right?

As many of you know, I?m not a believer in Cara Delevingne. I can?t wait for her to go the way of Agyness Deyn, which is to say? mostly forgotten. I?ve long believed that she?s probably nothing more than an unprofessional brat, and I even have some evidence to back it up. But did you know that she?s also an incredibly privileged white woman who freaks out in train stations during routine security checks? And what?s amazing to me is that she had a full-fledged temper tantrum and nothing really happened to her. She was detained briefly and let go. Here?s what went down:
Cara Delevingne was detained for more than an hour after a four-letter ?meltdown? at Eurostar security staff. Onlookers say the model acted like a ?spoiled brat? as she erupted in fury on her way from Paris to London for her sister Poppy?s birthday bash. The bizarre incident was sparked as her luggage was pulled aside for a random check. As she swore at the officer and his colleague, the 23-year-old got down on her knees and pretended to pray she would be allowed to board the train quickly. But she calmed down and later apologized as she emerged from an interrogation room an hour later with red eyes as if she had been crying.
An onlooker said: ?It was a full-on meltdown in the middle of security. There were at least 20 people around and she didn?t seem to care who saw. It was like she thought she didn?t have to abide by the same rules as everyone else just because she?s famous. Cara was with a friend who was trying to calm her down, but it wasn?t working. She shouted ?let him do his f**king job, it?s ridiculous.’ She got down on her knees and put her hands together as if she was praying for the whole thing to be over. It was bizarre.?
A French security source told The Sun many officers are fed up with celebrities acting as if they are above the law. He said: ?Famous people often [don?t] seem to think the same rules apply to them as everyone else. But everyone is subject to the same security procedures regardless of how well known they are. Sometimes celebrities will behave as if they are above the law and will be rude for no reason. They need to learn they have to be treated the same as everyone else.?
After the model-turned-actress swore profusely at the first officer, another came over to try to calm the situation. But Cara began using her phone, despite signs saying it was not allowed, and took exception to being told to put it away. She screamed ?F?k you? at a female officer before being detained and taken upstairs to a private room away from stunned passengers. Cara, who was dressed in casual bottoms and a top, emerged an hour later with red eyes, which made passengers think she had broken down in tears during the interrogation. But after calming down, she apologized profusely to the officers and was able to board the next train. She escaped with a fine for verbal assault.

First of all? do you think she was carrying? I think she was carrying, and that?s why she had the meltdown. It was a well-timed hissy fit to distract security personnel from looking too closely at her baggage, so they wouldn?t find her stash. That?s my theory. As for the privilege of being a bitchy, sullen, aristocratic white woman? imagine if someone named Mohammed or Jamal had behaved that way to train station security. It would be a completely different story.

Here are some assorted photos of Cara Delevingne in London over the past few days. There are three different fashion looks to discuss. The ultra-short black feathered dress is Burberry, and that?s what she wore to Sunday night?s London premiere of Pan photos. I forgot Cara is in Pan ? she plays Mermaid (Rooney Mara plays Tiger Lily, because of course). A big to-do happened at the premiere because Cara, in full view of the cameras, leaned over the barricades to take some photos with fans and since her dress was so short, she flashed some butt cheek and her underpants ? go here to see.
I?m also including photos of Cara at the Louis Vuitton launch event this weekend ? she wore a baggy suit and brought her girlfriend St. Vincent. I?m assuming the suit is LV, right? And Cara and St. Vincent were also at the Burberry show on Monday, and Cara was once again wearing head-to-toe Burberry. She?s starring in the My Burberry perfume campaign alongside Kate Moss. If you?re forcing me to choose my favorite look, I guess it?s the Burberry show look, just because I like that jacket.
