As for the recent comparisons to Madonna, Avril told press she?s not keen on being likened to other celebrities.

Gearing up for an outgoing flight, Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner were spotted at LAX International Airport last night (February 6).
The ?Complicated? chick and her ?Bromance? beau both looked to be in good spirits as they smiled and strolled hand-in-hand.
As for the recent comparisons between herself and Madonna, Avril says she?s nothing like the Material Girl.
"I definitely don't like being compared to other people. Madonna is Madonna and I'm totally different to her. I think what she has done is really great. She has worked really hard and had a wonderful career and balanced that out really well with having a family. I'm a really shy, introverted person and I was very young - I was like a kid - I was 17 on my first record and I was doing interviews and I really did hate doing them, but my record company made me do so many, and I didn't like it.?

Showing off quite the interesting hairdo, a colorful Avril Lavigne enjoyed a girly night out in West Hollywood, CA on Friday (February 4).
The "Girlfriend" singer dined out at BOA steakhouse before going across the road to attend the Giuseppe Zanotti Design Beverly Hills Store Opening afterparty at Trousdale nightclub.
Easing back into the spotlight as of late, Miss Lavigne is readying for the March release of her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby, after her record company involuntarily forced her to take a bit of a hiatus upon delaying the release of her album.
Sarcastically thanking the record execs for pushing the release date back after she completed Goodbye Lullaby a year ago, Avril blogged, ?I?m done with my 4th record!!! Well, actually I have been done for a year? and now my record company have finally decided to release it. OMG..How nice! Thanks guys.?

Stepping out for a meal with family and friends, Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner were spotted leaving Koi Restaurant in West Hollywood on Wednesday night (February 3).
The punk rock singer and her reality TV star beau looked a bit glum as they exited the eatery and hopped into Brody?s SUV.
In other news, with her new single ?What the Hell? already a hit and her latest album ?Goodbye Lullaby? hitting shelves in March, Lavigne told press her enthusiasm is still the same as it was when she first began her music career.
She explained, "It never gets old hearing my songs on the radio, or shooting videos, or winning awards -- it's all very exciting -- and being on tour, which I spend the majority of my time on tour, which is a lot of fun. But all that other stuff is incredible."

In career news, Avril is pumped about her new single ?What the Hell? and can?t wait for her fans to hear her new album.
Lavigne told press that she employed the help of her ex-husband Deryck Whibley on the project. "We worked on the new record and are still friends. He did an amazing job and it was cool because we worked in our home studio."

The Canadian rocker debuted her latest single called ?What the Hell? at the annual New Year?s Eve fete in New York City.
The song is featured on Avril?s upcoming album, ?Goodbye Lullaby? which will hit stores and iTunes on March 8, 2011.
Of the new catchy tune, Ms Lavigne told Pop Eater that it?s "a really fun, upbeat party song, so it worked out really well to play it for the first time on 'New Year's Rockin' Eve.?

And I think Rihanna's awesome, she has great songs, she's a really great singer, so yeah I was excited. I think it's really cool."
