But I guess all good things must come to an end eventually, right? And as long aswe’re still getting more Rita bikini pictures, I can’t complain. And […]

I guess all the hotties started flying south for winter this week, because now here’s Rita Ora at the beach in Miami. Rita ?American Takeover-er? Ora covers Elle Canada?s February Issue. I love the fashion in the editorial, but it?s 70s/80s influenced so it speaks to me – you can see it here. Rita has a dynamite body and I love her new short spikey do. I mention the hair because in the interview she is wafflingabout wearing short or long hair to meet someone and I am sure my opinion will matter to her.
Rita is always game to tell you how amazing Rita is, which makes my job much easier. Although Rita is one of the many eye-roll exercises I perform regularly, I don?t have a problem with her hustle. I love to watch a good hustle. Generally, I prefer a good hustle with something worth hustling behind it but Rita has her thing:
Ora worked tirelessly on creating a brand that centres on?you guessed it?connection. ?It has always been a dream of mine to create this cult,? she says. ?Back in the day, when punk was a lifestyle, people used to gather in underground raves and punk out. I know it?s different now because everything is so much more exposed. But even if it?s only 10 people, it?s my movement.?
When asked how she has changed the most since being signed by Jay Z and releasing that first album, the conversation quickly turns to fame. ?I wonder what makes everyone so interested in me,? ponders Ora. ?It has made me really think about every move I make; it has made me more self-conscious. I always wanted the attention, but then when I started to get it, it made me second-guess everything.?
Since 2012, Ora?s follow-up album has been imminent, but it was held up for unknown reasons. ?I just haven?t been prepared to put it out, and that?s the truth. But I?m happy that I delayed the album because otherwise I don?t think the people who haven?t heard my music would have the right impression of me because that isn?t who I am.?
[From Elle Canada]
To me, forming a cult from scratch is a bit ambitious. Maybe start with a coffee circle, grow into a book club and expand into a happy hour crowd that eventually evolves into your cult; don?t sprint out of the gate. Props to her for owning the fact she wanted the fame; she may overestimate our interest in her but she is never going to pretend she isn?t chasing it like a $20 bill caught in the wind.
As for the mythical album, it has been promised for 3 years. This album will be a reintroduction to Rita and her music. It?s not that the album isn?t finished; she just hasn?t released it yet? *Deep breath* Here?s the thing, it?s okay to have an album delayed or cultivated or germinating alongside your underground Book Club Cult but hyping it as a ?reintroduction? is a rocky slope. Rita has released two songs since Ora and although there is some deviation from sugary pop, the pervasive drumbeat is in the background and the up-beat still wins out – she didn?t go dark, just sepia.
Note by Celebitchy: Rita has sued Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label in an attempt to get out of her contract, which has been in force for seven years. Her lawsuit states that they have lost interest in her due to management changes and that she is footing the bill for her own promotion. You can read more here.

Trying out a fresh look for the New Year, Rita Ora is featured on the front page of ELLE Canada February 2016 edition.
The ?How We Do? songstress worked with photographer Max Abadian on her cover shoot, flaunting a blonde pixie hairdo with bold colors and plenty of attitude.
Rita discussed the way fame and career pressure has affected her life- ?I wonder what makes everyone so interested in me. It has made me really think about every move I make; it has made me more self-conscious. I always wanted the attention, but then when I started to get it, it made me second-guess everything.?

| Rita Ora: 'I feel my strongest onstage' I start feeling like a superhero' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Rita Ora covers the December issue of Self, which is just bizarre to me. She’s promoting her upcoming second album, which has been delayed at least once and for which I could find no exact release date online, and the brands she’s representing (Calvin Klein, Roberto Cavalli, and Adidas line she designed). You have to admire her hustle. Rita is a legend in her own mind, and she’ll tell you about it. She also talks about herself in the third person, which I appreciate as it’s an easily mocked trait. Here’s some of what she told Self:
On her eventful year
This year has been eventful, that?s for sure. I finished my album and I?m so proud of it. And this was the first time I?ve done a show like X Factor UK, where it?s all live. I?ve just expanded as an artist.
On her album
I?m treating this as if it were my debut. It?s like I?m starting from scratch. This is the first time everyone will see who Rita Ora is. Artistically, I felt like when I first got signed, it was a race. I was just trying to please everybody, not realizing that it really should be about knuckling down to who you are as an artist.
On working hard and staying positive
Our parents taught us to respect the people around us. So my work ethic and the way people perceive me?it?s very important to leave a good impression. If I do have a bad day, I don?t like putting it on other people. It?s important to be positive.
On “feeling like a superhero”
I feel my strongest onstage. I still, to this day, do not know anything better. And when I?ve been really good with my body?no alcohol, no late nights, watching my diet, drinking water ? I start feeling like a superhero!
Sleep is important, but she still indulges
I?ve never been more grateful for sleep than I am at this point. I used to hate it. It took a lot to mentally calm me down. But now I travel with a candle and a little lavender pillow. Obviously, I?m like any other twentysomething: I like to have a drink after my show and things like that, but it?s in moderation. It?s one of those things where the band goes out later and gets hammered, and you?ve got to be the one who just goes to bed.
On the rigors of her profession
It?s like you?re an athlete. I?m not running a marathon, but I?m doing it in my own way. You really have to take care of your body so you can survive.
She wants to do it all
I see myself as a 360 artist, not just one-laned. I like to do everything. I have this vision of building an empire and leaving it to my family.
[From Self]
She dreams big and she’s getting a lot of press, I’ll give her that. We “see who Rita Ora is,” as she put it, and she’s got an inflated sense of self for sure. I guess that’s what it takes to be successful in her industry. There aren’t a lot of wallflowers who become singer/actresses.
As for what she says about feeling like a superhero when she’s sober and on stage, if she’s talking about performing as an exercise and specifically choreographed dancing on stage I can understand that. I love to do Zumba, it’s so fun and doesn’t even feel like you’re working out, and my latest fitness kick is doing dance games on the Xbox and Playstation. (Just Dance 2014 on the XBox 360 is better and less glitchy than the JD games on the Playstation 4.) I can’t imagine how much of an adrenaline rush it must be to dance and sing on stage in front of a live audience. It would be terrifying as well, but I doubt that much can scare Rita.
PopSugar has some of Rita’s workout moves, straight from her trainer. They involve planks, squats and burpees. I hate burpees so much.

Here is Rita Ora looking every inch the pop princess as she arrived at the Bambi Awards in Berlin.
Rita continued the feminine, princess feel with her hair pulled back from her face in a middle parting and replacing her signature bold lip with a softer, nude colour and pastel eye make-up. She completed the look with a pair of diamond earrings in the shape of tree branches.

| Rita Ora thinks she could be the next Bond girl & sing the theme song too | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Rita Ora used to annoy me, but I’m starting to admire her level of chutzpah. Even when others don’t believe in her, she thinks she’s the most awesome U.K. import to cross the pond. She constantly refers to her American takeover without a trace of irony, and Rita doesn’t care what anyone else thinks (or so she says). Now, she’s a sketchball for excusing Chris Brown’s past during their collaboration, but that was largely a dig against Rihanna. There will always be a feud there.
Not too long ago, Rita was detailing her plans for her (nonexistent) “Lady Marmalade” remake. That song will never happen, but Rita doesn’t care! She’s already moved onto her next delusion, which has to do with becoming a Bond girl. Actually, Rita thinks she can star in the next Bond film and sing the next title track too. No one has ever done that before (although Madonna sang one and played a minor role in the same film), so Rita is cool with being the double-threat Bond pioneer. Speaking at a KISS haunted house party in London, Rita details her latest dream:
On being the next Bond girl: “I’d rather sing the theme but has anybody done both? Maybe. Maybe I’ll do both!”
Who she’ll duet with next: “Probably like Celine Dion or Cher, or David Bowie or someone like, I don’t know, just one of my legends that I’ve always loved growing up. Maybe Gwen Stefani, she’d be cool.”
[From TV3.ie]
Bless her heart (and yes, I realize what that means). You know, Rita is not a very good singer. She’s good at self-promotion, and we still don’t know if Harvey Weinstein’s claim of her being a “breathtaking actress“ is true because both of her high-profile roles — FSOG and Southpaw — were pretty nonexistent. She may have been left on the cutting room floor, which is never a good sign. Oh well, at least Rita is true to herself. She’ll never let herself down, unlike with Calvin Harris and that dumb song they made together.
