It felt like years, but Victoria Beckham finally made it onto American Vogue and even got a profile. It’s not the cover but beggars can’t be choosers. At least that’s what girls always tell me.
Admittedly, I just looked at the photos because after reading the first sentence, I realized I’d have no idea what the hell they were going to talk about. It started out with, “Have you ever been in a crche before?,” and ended with me staring blankly and nodding like I understood. “Oooo, pretty pictures,” I then said quickly trying to change the subject.

Victoria Beckham finally made it into American Vogue! Alas, it is not a cover. But I?m sure Posh feels this is a step in the right direction. Today it?s a lengthy feature about the success of her fashion lines, maybe in a year it will be a cover profile. I quite like the Craig McDean photo of Posh – she looks young! You can read the whole Vogue profile here – it?s a really nice piece. Posh seems like a very level-headed woman who is doing what she loves. Here are some highlights:
Posh uses Tracy Anderson: She is perching her daughter, five-month-old Harper Seven Beckham, on one hip, but truth to tell there isn?t much of a perch; Victoria retrieved her finely honed form after the birth of her fourth child (Harper joins her whimsically named brothers, Brooklyn Joseph, thirteen; Romeo James, nine; and Cruz David, seven) via a strenuous workout regimen with the fitness guru Tracy Anderson, to whom Gwyneth Paltrow introduced her. ?I worked out a lot,? says Victoria. ?I ran a lot. I did it six days a week. I become quite obsessive when I get into something,? she adds.
Her design evolution: ?At first, I wanted clothes that people would associate with me,? she says. ?I was probably a little bit more self-conscious then?I was afraid to wear things that weren?t super-supertight. In those days, I wore a lot of corsetry. That was a sign of my own insecurities. By season three or four, I started doing a lot more research about things that I didn?t like. And I started challenging myself. Now that I feel more confident, creatively I feel more satisfied. It doesn?t have to be tight. I love working with volume and draping away from the body.? Her newly launched Victoria line allows for further experimentation. It is ?easier, a little more relaxed,? she explains. ?It?s the other half of my wardrobe.?
She likes it streamlined: ?I?ve always had to make the best of what I?ve got,? she tells me. ?I?ve never been a six-foot-tall, skinny model [she is five feet four], so therefore I want to create an illusion. People always think I?m taller than I am?not just because of the shoes I wear but because of the way I dress. It?s all relatively streamlined.?
They barely live at Beckingham Palace: Although the Beckhams have a sprawling neo-Georgian manse two hours? drive north in the Hertfordshire countryside (the British press facetiously refers to it as Beckingham Palace), Victoria and Harper have decamped to the Savoy. ?It?s too much time to be spending in the car,? Victoria explains. ?Four hours a day when I could be being productive!?
Skyping in her pajamas at her LA home: ?That?s the good thing about living in L.A.,? she notes. ?I?ll work early in the morning and then I?ll work late at night, but once England and New York go to bed, I have a little bit of time here. David and I make sure our schedules revolve around the kids. Because we are really focused on what we do workwise, it allows us to be balanced.?
Winning a design award: In 2011, Victoria was nominated for the British Fashion Council?s Designer Brand award (fellow nominees included Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, and Burberry).?When they read my name, I literally felt like my heart was going to jump out of my body,? she tells me, adding that this accolade meant so much more to her than any of her music awards. ?I?m so appreciative of my past. I respect all the girls and really enjoyed what I did then, but this is what I love to do. I didn?t plan on getting up in front of the whole British fashion industry and not keeping my cool, but I was overwhelmed; I cried three times.?
Not moving to Paris: The New Year has dawned, and I?m in Los Angeles to experience a slice of Victoria?s Los Angeles life. Before Christmas, Victoria had no idea whether her family would be uprooted and moved to Paris, where David was being courted by the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team, or staying put in Los Angeles, which she loves. ?I?m definitely a glass-is-always-half-full, not half-empty, kind of person,? she says. ?Which is why I love living in America.? By the New Year, the decision had been made; the family will stay in Los Angeles. ?It would have been fun for David to play in Europe again?he?s not getting any younger,? says Victoria. ?And Paris would have been very exciting for me, career-wise, but we came to the conclusion that it?s all about the children?they?re the most important people here. Also, David came here to raise the profile of soccer in America; I?m really proud of him, but his job is not done yet.?
Victoria is a committed soccer mom. ?Other than Fashion Week, I?ve never missed anything,? she says. ?Someone once asked my son Cruz, ?When?s your birthday?? and he told them, ?It?s just after Fashion Week!??

That Cruz story is particularly adorable, isn?t it? The Vogue article is worth reading just for the description of Posh and Becks? amazing LA house. She describes how she decorated everything before David came to LA, and it?s all pretty amazing.
Last thing – Posh cooks! Allegedly. Posh tweeted the photo below and claimed that she cooked all of that for her son?s school?s ?International Food Day?. Rii-ight.

Treating their good-looking family to a St. Patrick's Day outing, David and Victoria Beckham had all four kids in tow for a lunch and shopping excursion in Santa Monica, CA on Saturday (March 17).
The L.A. Galaxy star toted baby Harper Seven in his arms as his fashionista wife and three sons, Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn, walked alongside while grabbing a bite to eat at Tsujitsa Artisan Noodles.
Once filled up on the tasty chow, the Beckhams then headed to the White House|Black Market store in search of some new duds.
Always well-dressed, David recently spoke with press about his trio of sons' fashion preferences, telling, ?I used to try to dress them up, but now they want to wear their own things."
Going into further detail, Becks added, "Brooklyn will just wear his soccer shirts and a T-shirt. But Romeo is the fashion one, so he?ll go for skinny jeans and a vintage T-shirt and funny hats. One Christmas he asked for pair of spats shoes. nd now the youngest Cruz is hitting it right as well. He loves Justin Bieber, so anything he?s got Cruz wants.?

Victoria Beckham appears on the new cover of Madame Figaro, a French publication we rarely discuss. I don?t know if it?s supposed to be a highbrow or lowbrow publication, but I?d say that if Posh Beckham deigns to appear on multiple covers, with a pouty, faux-sexy photo shoot, it?s probably not the most high-class magazine. Anyway, Posh is still trying to clean up her old chav, WAG-tastic past by letting us know that she would NEVER be caught dead in anything vaguely peasant-y. She sounds like Dame Gwyneth here:
She hates tracksuits: ‘You?ll never see me on the street in a tracksuit. I just love fashion too much to wear a tracksuit! The same goes for Ugg boots. I only wear them only at home.’
She loves Prada: ‘I?m addicted to Prada, to cardigans and bags Hermes… I?d love to see the world through the eyes of Miuccia Prada! The woman is a genius. Her vision is of ultra-intelligent fashion. Each season, she creates something new, she knows how to surprise.’
She?d love to dress Tilda Swinton: ‘I would like to design clothes for her.’
She?s a big fan of Net-A-Porter.com: ‘I am a big fan of Net-A-Porter.com. When the kids are asleep, I can travel on this site for several hours. I like the idea of quietly shopping at home for clothes and returning them if it don?t work. This is absolute freedom.’

The Mail makes a big deal about the tracksuit thing, because they have a photo of Posh from, like, five years ago when she was coming out of a doctor?s office or something, and she was wearing loose sweatpants. The Mail is all, ?Hahaha, LIAR!!!!? But unless I?m mistaken, even the Brits distinguish between ?tracksuits? and ?sweats? right? Tracksuits are – in my opinion – made of nylon, and they make you look like a New Jersey mobster. Sweats are just workout gear. Right?
As for Posh?s attempt to be all fashion-y and high class now? look, I like Posh. She?s grown on me a great deal over the past few years. But she needs to stop trying to be Gwyneth. No one likes Gwyneth. No one wants to be Gwyneth. Gwyneth is only a legend in her own mind. Posh >>> Goop.

Victoria Beckham was on hand last night at the GREAT British film reception, which honored this year’s British Oscar nominees. Naturally, Victoria wore one of her own designs with this ultra-fitted (like all of her looks) military green dress. Once again, this look works well on her because she’s so tiny, but on any celebrity with a “normal” body, it would probably be ridiculous. Victoria paired the dress with black leather above-the-knee boots and an odd-looking beige clutch. She still looks worn out and exhausted as hell at this event. Usually, people want Victoria to eat a sandwich, but I merely want her to take a few naps. As a veteran of Non-Sleeping Baby Syndrome myself, it’s exhausting just to look at her.
Gary Oldman was also there with his stunning wife, Alexandra Edenborough, whose little black dress seemed like she had a matching tank top underneath, which makes for a much too complicated effect from what should just be a simple, figure-flattering look. Gary’s up for Best Actor, and while he probably won’t win, he probably really will be the only guy there who’s just honored to be nominated.
Kenneth Branagh and his wife, Lindsay Brunnock, were in attendance as well. Ken’s up for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in My Week With Marilyn. That checkered tie just doesn’t do it for me.
Christopher Plummer, who seems to be the frontrunner for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Beginners was there too. This was not a good night for British dudes wearing ties.
Finally, James Frain takes care of all the remaining eye candy quotient that wasn’t already engulfed by Gary Oldman. James is attractive, but I’d like to give him a good shampooing.

She always looks polished and chic, but after critics started in with negative comments about the way Victoria Beckham looked at her collection launch in London last weekend, she fired back.
The former Spice Girls singer told the Daily Mirror, "Look, if people want to say I'm miserable then so be it, I'm really not. I have a lot on my plate. I'm not going to lie about it, I'm tired. I'm really tired but I'm also very happy with my life."
The busy mom continued, "I'm not getting much sleep at all. Harper's not sleeping that great, and I've been taking Skype business calls throughout the night, too, because of the collections. I'm up with the baby as all mums are, and I wouldn't have it any other way. There's not a team of people doing it for me."
Between being a business woman, a wife and a mom to their four children, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 9, Cruz, 6, and Harper, 7 months, life is one big balancing act for Victoria, who added, "I'm basically just like any woman who's working and has lots of children -? it's tough."

Last week, there were some photos of Victoria Beckham during NY Fashion Week where she seemed to look particularly exhausted. Posh generally looks drawn and thin, like she?s always subsisting on ice chips and lemon slices, but the recent photos show her with dark circles under her eyes, looking like she was about to simply fall over from the weight on her own head. Well, Posh has heard our comments (?Is she ill? Is that her wax figure??) and she is answering us – she?s got a baby who never sleeps and she?s working super-hard. So stop saying she looks like hell! Noted, Victoria. Noted.
She has never been one for smiling in photographs, but Victoria Beckham’s public appearances have been particularly pouty of late. But in a new interview, the designer and mother-of-four explains that she is not moody, simply exhausted.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, the 37-year-old says: ‘Look, if people want to say I?m miserable then so be it. I?m really not. I have a lot on my plate. I?m not going to lie about it, I?m tired. I?m really tired but I?m also very happy with my life. I?m basically just like any woman who?s working and has lots of children ? it?s tough.’
Victoria tells the paper that the stress of planning her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection for New York Fashion Week and caring for a sleepless infant has taken its toll.
‘I?m not getting much sleep at all, she says. Harper?s not sleeping that great, and I?ve been taking Skype business calls throughout the night too because of the collections. I?m up with the baby as all mums are and I wouldn?t have it any other way. There?s not a team of people doing it for me.?
Mrs Beckham’s office is London, while she lives in Los Angeles with husband David, Harper and their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. So finding time to speak to her team means many late-night phone calls for the already sleep-deprived star, who says the time difference has become nightmarish.
‘I?m spending ludicrous amounts of time in my dressing gown on Skype talking to my team about the clothes.’
Victoria showcased her latest collection at New York Fashion Week to critical acclaim, before flying to London to attend the launch of her Victoria by Victoria Beckham at Harvey Nichols this week.bbShe joked recently that David has only just realised that designing is an actual job to her, after attending her show in New York.
And it seems the for the foreseeable future, designing will be continue to be her only professional job, as she confirmed that the Spice Girls will not be reuniting for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year.
‘It was so flattering to be asked to do the Jubilee, Victoria tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘But we have lots on our plates and we are all so focused on the end of the year and Viva Forever, the musical. The Jubilee isn?t going to happen. But the musical is going to be really great and we?re focusing on that.’

Do you believe her when she says ?There?s not a team of people doing it for me?? I kind of do, especially for the mom stuff. I can joke around about Posh and her quirks, but I think she?s a very hands-on mother, and I think David is a very hands-on dad too. I think Posh was absolutely thrilled that she finally got a daughter, and she might even be more hands-on with Harper Seven then she was with her sons. Basically, I believe that when Harper cried, her mum comes in and gets her every single time.
As for Posh not having help with her clothing line – that?s where I might have to call BS. I think Posh has a fashion eye, I think she?s ?directing? her multiple fashion lines, and I think she probably signs off on everything before it goes out on the runway. But let?s not act like dozens of staffers aren?t doing the bulk of the actual work.
Still, I?m sure she loves all of this. She?s living her dream – fashionista, respected designer, wife, mother, all of it. She?ll find a better balance when Harper starts sleeping through the night.

Stepping out for a fashionable evening in the UK, Victoria Beckham popped into Harvey Nichols in London on Friday (February 17) to toast the launch of her new clothing range at the Knightsbridge store.
The former Spice Girls singer donned a foxy LBD as she posed for the awaiting media in front of an extremely large crowd that had gathered around to catch a glimpse of the happenings.
The appearance comes just after Posh was named as the ambassador of British fashion - with duties of the role requiring her to take part in VisitBritain's "Great" campaign while shooting a short film called "Fashion is Great".
Of the campaign spearheaded by Victoria, Prime Minister David Cameron told local press, "British fashion is a hugely important global industry and our designers have the talent, creativity and skills to rival anywhere in the world. Contributing over 20GBP billion to the British economy each year, our industry inspires. Fashion is a truly great British success story."
Meanwhile, British ambassador to the U.S., Sir Peter Westmacott, added, "As the U.K. gears up for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, there's no better time to celebrate the best that Britain has to offer."

Looking to boost the Manhattan economy, Victoria Beckham was spotted out shopping in New York City this afternoon (February 14).
The beautiful British designer paid a visit to the Prada and Miu Miu boutiques to find some new duds as the paparazzi looked on.
In a recent interview, Victoria confessed that she reached a breaking point around the holidays due to her non-stop schedule.
"I got to the point just before Christmas when for the first time ever, I wasn't actually sure if I could cope. I was working in London and the day I finished work, I went to bed and woke up at 4 o'clock in the morning with a chest and throat infection. I very rarely get sick. I guess I was really feeling the pressure."
