I?m not expecting many of you to be interested in this post, so work to prove me wrong! I enjoy covering Emily Blunt, and I?d like to spend more time talking about her, but whenever I do, I feel like she?s met with a collective yawn. Why is that? She?s married to another famous actor, John Krasinski. She?s done good work in good movies, and decent work in bad and mediocre movies. She?s also done something weird to her face, perhaps Botox or just some too-big veneers (or both). Plus, she goes on dozens of red carpets a year and her style is really hit-or-miss. What I?m saying is that there?s stuff to discuss with Emily Blunt, so get on board the Blunt Train! Anyway, Emily covers the new issue of InStyle (she?s wearing Burberry Prorsum on the cover), and here are some highlights from her interview:
On Hollywood: ?I see Hollywood as a bubble that you pop your head into every now and again. I never get fully immersed in it.?
Marrying Krasinski: ?Meeting John really changed my life. When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There?s someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days.?
She?s not glamorous: “I spend my life in sweatpants and covered in mud.?
She has a big husband and a big dog: “I have an enormous husband ? he’s 6’3?! ? and an enormous dog.”
She looks forward to the future: “Whatever those good things are, I don’t even know,” she says. “But I am a hopeful person.”
[From InStyle & People]
Oh, and the InStyle piece also says that she and John have an ?oversized Lab? they call Finn. So cute. Emily got the InStyle cover because she?s got Arthur Newman coming out, which is a ?bittersweet odd-couple movie? costarring Colin Firth. I like both Firth and Blunt, but I?m not sure if I like the idea of the two of them playing romantic love interests. It seems? odd. Oh, I found the trailer! They?re making good use out of Colin?s inability to speak with an American accent. But this does not look all that great to me (but I?ll stills see it because I love Colin).

| Emily Blunt in cutout Michael Kors at the Golden Globes: edgy or terrible? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

There were quite a few light-colored sequined dresses at the Globes last night. My favorite look was on Helen Hunt, which I’ll get to in a moment. First off we have Emily Blunt in a bizarre yellowish Michael Kors dress with cutouts along the ribcage. This is such a fug dress I’m wondering how Emily and her people greenlit it, like how did that process go and did anyone even second-guess this gown? Emily loves formfitting gowns, and we’ve seen her in cutout dresses before, but this is a convergence of so many poor choices in one dress. There’s some swirly lace, it’s an unappealing color, and it has round sequins stuck on it in a random pattern. At least the cut is flattering. Also, what is going on with those bright, chunky earrings and her updo? It’s just a bad look all around.
In contrast, a visibly pregnant Kristen Bell wore a very cute cap-sleeve empire waist Jenny Packham gown. The dress flowed beautifully in motion and she looked very comfortable on stage. This is an elegant maternity gown.
I thought Isla Fisher was gorgeous in Reem Acra. I love the sheer shoulder panels on this gown and the very simple but striking square sequins. It’s a very straightforward dress that packs a lot of punch, but some people are bound to find it boring.
Helen Hunt really killed it for me in this wide-striped sequin and mesh gown. Look at the amazing detail on the neckline and bodice. This dress is a work of art. (I can’t find a designer ID on this yet.) It also highlights her great figure without showing too much skin.
Connie Britton wasn’t as successful in a formfitting sleeveless silver gown. It was a pretty dress, the cut just seemed a bit cookie cutter to me. Still, I loved her hair and makeup.

Promoting their latest film, the cast of "The Five Year Engagement" stepped out for a Photocall at Hotel Park Hyatt in Hamburg, Germany on Monday (June 11).
Co-stars Emily Blunt and Jason Segel stole the spotlight as they posed for pictures and shared a laugh together on the black carpet.
In the film, the duo plays and engaged couple who keep pushing their marriage off because of unexpected events that keep getting in the way.
Emily recently opened up about her own marriage to actor John Krasinski saying, "This is what I find difficult about my marriage: It's hard to sum up something that's so vital and means everything to you in a soundbite. Do you know what I mean? All I can say is that it's an effing blast. I'm just great and I'm so happy."
The 29-year-old actress also told Manhattan magazine, "We want to have children, I just don't know when yet. I'm just not sure about the timing of all of that. We're both from big families, so I think it's something we want."

She's a part of the star-studded cast in the upcoming action/sci-fi flick "Looper", and Emily Blunt also found herself chosen for a feature included in the July 2012 issue of Total Film magazine.
The 29-year-old actress looked radiant in red for the Julian Broad shot profile pic while dishing about everything from her openness when it comes to roles to how great it was working on her latest project.
Highlights from Miss Blunt's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Total Film!
On spending time around the globe:
"I work in Britain all the time, so for me I do always get that injection of British life that I crave when I'm here. But that's the joy of the job. You're quite nomadic, can go anywhere."
On not being stuck on a certain type of role:
"I'm open to anything really, I've learned to embrace the unknown and really enjoy that moment when you read a script and it jumps off the page at you and you go 'this is what I want to do.'"
On her ambiguous nature:
"I don't really see myself as anything really. I don't want to be pigeonhole or categorize myself. I just want to try everything, and I don't tend to take on a role based on genre. I tend to take it based on the script or the character."
On her new movie 'Looper':
"It was fu**ing awesome and I'm unfathomably lucky to be in it. I play Sarah, a girl from the Midwest, Kansas, and I live on a farm and I have a son and she's fierce and protective and tough and I wield a big gun. It's so awesome, so exciting ? it looks like an old Spielberg movie. I really think it's the coolest movie I've ever been a part of."

Looking stunning in green, Emily Blunt attended the premiere for her new film, ?The Five Year Engagement? in New York City on Wednesday night (April 18).
The brunette beauty looked stunning in a sixties-inspired dress with green embellishments while rocking a pair of green pumps and adding some flair with hot Pink lips.
Tonight?s premiere kicked off the Tribeca festival in the Big Apple, which is entering its second decade while organizers said that they will release a broader range of film from around the world.
The 29-year-old actress hit the red carpet with her co-star Jason Segel for their flick that follows a couple in their quest to rediscover each other after they get engaged. Director Nicholas Stoller co-wrote the script with the ?Forgetting Sarah Marshall? star.
"They realize that they didn't know each other quite as well as they thought. It's about how an engagement can get in the way of a relationship," Stoller told Reuters in a phone interview. "This is how inertia can destroy a relationship."

| Emily Blunt & Ewan McGregor at London premiere: who would you rather? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In March, I covered the LA premiere of Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, that cute looking film starring Ewan Mcgregor as a salmon-fishing expert and Emily Blunt as some kind of PR maven. The premise looks interesting, and it?s on my ?definitely rent? list. These are photos from last night?s London premiere.
Let?s discuss Ewan Mcgregor first. Okay, I love the man. He?s gorgeous and sexy and he can wear the hell out of nearly any outfit. That being said, I hate his mid-life crisis hoop earring. And I?m getting tired of his scarves. We get it, Ewan. You love a man-scarf. ENOUGH. And while I?m speaking directly to you, Ewan, please stop with the fancy lift sneakers. We know you?re kind of short. We would still hit it, even if you?re wee. Just own your height without getting all Tom Cruise on us.
As for Emily, she wore this odd Carolina Herrera Fall 2012 cocktail dress. I?m including a photo of Emily from behind, just because I want you to see the funky front-to-back effect of the cropped jacket. Is that the way it?s meant to be worn? Or did Emily put the jacket on backwards? As for the ribbony stripes – pretty. I?m pretty apathetic towards horizontal stripes, but the muted navy-and-black palette works and it?s a sophisticated look, backwards jacket included. I feel like Emily is unsure about what to do with her hair, right? Right.
