Here are some photos of Kristen Stewart outside and inside of a screening for Still Alice in NYC last night. She was out and about in New York all day yesterday promoting the film with Julianne Moore and Kate Bosworth. Julianne is pretty much the frontrunner in the Best Actress race and ? just my opinion ? Julianne can and should be doing the bulk of the promotional work. But Julianne is a generous person and she probably enjoys having the younger girls around. Kristen?s dress last night (which you can see in greater detail below) was Roksanda?s Ellsworth dress. K-Stew and her see-through dresses? I?m over it. But I appreciate that she pulled together a real red carpet look. I wouldn?t mind seeing her at the Oscars this year? as a presenter.
Kristen and Julianne sat down for a HuffPo interview ? you can see the video here (it?s autoplay). Kristen was asked about her recent remarks about taking some time off from Hollywood to just live in her LA loft and work on her art projects. Kristen said that those stories were spun by the tabloids to make it sound like she was quitting Hollywood. Her thoughts on the tabs: ?There is like, you know, a whole other form of entertainment that is just voraciously consumed. It’s funny, you know, you do an interview and someone says, ‘Oh you’ve been working a lot? What are you planning on doing now?’ And you say, ‘Uh, I’m just going to take a second and like do something other than that,’ and then ‘Kristen Stewart Quits Hollywood!’ I basically have started a self-led middle school art class in my garage and it’s so cool. It feels so good!” She says people should take the tabloids with a ?whole big boulder of salt.? Huh. So then we shouldn?t believe the evidence we have that Kristen is with Alicia?

For the better part of 2014, there were rumors that Kristen Stewart and her BFF Alicia Cargile had made the transition from friendship to something more. I tended to believe the rumors, just because Alicia and K-Stew just seemed to be spending SO MUCH time together, and there was just a vibe of comfort and familiarity in their body language. Kristen and Alicia flew to Hawaii together after Christmas to bring in the New Year at the beach ? there were photos of them which were just released a few days ago. Go here to see. The body language is friendly, loving, affectionate. They very much look like girlfriends/lovers.
So, what?s the big deal? There isn?t one, really. If Kristen was consciously trying to ease Alicia into her public life gradually, so that even the confirmation of their dating was barely a tabloid blip, then Kristen pulled it off really well. It doesn?t seem to me like ?Kristen Stewart has a girlfriend now? is even some major tabloid story. Kristen?s fans and foes are mostly like ?Oh, she?s got a girlfriend? God bless.? So how close are they?
Kristen Stewart?s live-in gal pal Alicia Cargile are so close that they got matching tattoos, even as speculation grows that the two could be more than just best friends and roommates.
?They are inseparable and mimic each other?s everything,? a friend of the Twilight actress tells RadarOnline.com exclusively regarding their matching right-arm tattoos of arrows pointing in the same direction.
In photographs taken this past week while vacationing in Hawaii together, Stewart, 24, and Cargile are seen holding hands and acting extremely affectionate with each other.
?When Kristen and Alicia were in Hawaii for New Years, I am sure that they thought no one was going to see them,? the insider says. ?But they are not exactly nonchalant about their relationship anymore.?
After Stewart got caught cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson, 28, in 2012 with her married Snow White director Rupert Sanders, 43, the friend tells Radar that ?she just doesn?t care what people think anymore.?
?Kristen is happy and she is just being herself. She doesn?t need to worry about where her next role is going to come from nowadays because she has proven herself as an actress,? the source adds.

I would be curious to hear how Kristen self-identifies these days, whether she?s calling herself gay or bisexual or whether she simply doesn?t believe in labels. I think that?s probably the catch for a lot of Twihards: if Kristen is with a woman now, does that ?prove? that her relationship with Robert Pattinson was always a sham, always doomed, always some PR ploy? For what it?s worth, I don?t believe that. I think she loved Rob and he broke her heart. I think Rob loved her and she broke his heart. I think she was really and truly banging Rupert Sanders too. Let?s see, what else? The loonies at Hollywood Life also claim that Kristen has been telling her friends that Sparkles and Twigs are ?just a fling? and they?ll be over within six months. And there?s some real estate drama too ? Rob bought a place close to Kristen?s new downtown loft and Kristen isn?t looking forward to running into them all over town.

Kristen Stewart was on hand at last night?s Hollywood Film Awards to honor her costar and onscreen mom, Julianne Moore. Moore won the Hollywood Actress Award, presented by K-Stew. My takeaway? Everybody loves Julianne. Everybody wants good things for Julianne. If Julianne plays her Oscar campaign the right way, so could totally win this year. Now, I?m not so sure what Hollywood power players think of Kristen though. She was as awkward as always when presenting Julianne with her award (this video cuts out the very beginning where Kristen had to clear her throat on stage).
I will say this ? Still Alice looks like a really good movie. I kind of wonder if they couldn?t get someone better than Alec Baldwin to play the husband, but whatever.
As for the fashion? neither woman brought it. Kristen wore this messed up, ill-fitting Chanel dress which was TOO LOW on her chest. I felt like we were one cough away from seeing her breasts, full on. It doesn?t even seem to be exceptionally well-tailored or anything, it?s like Kristen grabbed a half-finished dress from a Chanel rack.
Julianne wore Balenciaga? the dress is inoffensive but the terrible bridesmaid shoes kill the look! As a matter of fact, her whole look has a weird bridal feel.

Kristen Stewart gave the weirdest interview to USA Today this week. She was supposed to talk about Camp X-Ray, and she managed to say a little bit about it, but the rest of the interview is just Kristen being retreating into that sullen teenager ?I don?t care, whatever, I?m doing my own thing, whatever, I don?t care.? I kind of wonder if the USA Today journalist was just asking a lot of personal questions and Kristen just shut down, or if she?s trying not to talk about anything political having to do with Gitmo after some of her quotes were taken wildly out of context by the conservative media. Her new life: “I’m really happy right now, overly happy. I’m definitely not looking furtively ? I like to look around at (stuff). I feel great. I’m not overcoming fear right now.?
She?s not a political person: “I’m definitely not one to get on a soapbox about things I care about. You can affect change in other ways. That’s why doing interviews about it is funny for me. Dude, I did a movie. I thought [Camp X-Ray] was a courageous reminder. It is not righteous in any way. I was really excited to play an essentially American girl who is so simple. I thought it was interesting to have this girl, a good person, a sweet person, a positively inclined girl, who wants to forget herself and wants to be dignified by something. How do you condemn anyone who wants to serve our country? The denigration of that notion was really interesting.”
She?s about to take some time off: “I’m taking some time off because I’ve been working for two years. I’m an actor and that’s my art form, and because I started that so young, I’ve always felt intimidated and insufficient when I think about other forms of art I want to create. I’m going to take so much time off. I’m going to buy a live-work space in downtown LA and I’m going to make some (stuff) with my hands. Literally, I made that decision a few weeks ago. I’m making a short film. I’m making a bunch of (stuff). I don’t know how I’ll put it out. But I’m not going to hold it so preciously close to me. I write all the time.”
She?s not on Twitter or Facebook & she has a private Instagram account: “What would I Tweet about? Who are you talking to? What are you saying? Imagine sitting here right now and thinking, ‘That’s a good thing to say to the world?’ What? I can’t even understand it.”
Getting back to doing press after a long break: “I’m also not that uncomfortable with it because I’ve gotten used it. I am really traversing this and getting stronger every day. I’m better at this than I ever have been. I like being uncomfortable. I like standing up to things. The last few days have been good, really good. I just got off a two-year stint of filming, so I haven’t had to do (press) for a long time. It wasn’t so loaded. It was nicely civilized and good.”
She’s always looking over her shoulder: “I’ve gotten better about that. Whatever. If everyone is staring at me, that’s fine.”

You know what this interview reminded me of? Taylor Swift?s current publicity tour. Both Swifty and Kristen got out of high-profile relationships a few years ago and they both spent some time away from the spotlight, quietly working on various projects. Both women are single right now and they?re both focusing on their respective groups of girlfriends. But that?s where the comparisons end. As for Kristen literally making stuff with her hands when she literally buys a place in downtown LA? okay, sure. I?m sure having some time off over the next few months will help with her Oscar campaign!

I believe she probably smokes a lot of pot. But she?s tried to kick the cigarettes a few times in the past few years. Guess it didn?t stick. It?s really hard to quit, so just be gentle with her.
There are more rumors this week about Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult. Last week, when Kristen was in NYC, Hoult came out to support Kristen all undercover, although they were reportedly inseparable at a premiere afterparty. Star Magazine says much of the same thing in this week?s issue. Personally, I think it says something that Kristen returned to LA and Hoult is still in New York or wherever. If they are hooking up, it?s pretty casual (bros with benefits) and it?s not like they?re joined at the hip, in the first flush of love. ?Sources? tell Hollywood Life (I know, I know) that Kristen really likes Hoult but it?s not love:

But the rumors about Kristen and Alicia Cargile persist. I have to give Kristen a lot of credit here, and you know how she?s not even my favorite person. But I like that she doesn?t give a crap about the incessant and long-standing rumors that she?s gay. Those rumors have been around for so many years, back when the Twihards were mad that Robert Pattinson got together with a girl wearing sneakers and jeans instead of heels and miniskirts. Kristen knows that there are lots of stories about her relationship with Alicia in particular, but K-Stew doesn?t care. She?s still going to publicly hang out with her girlfriends, and she doesn?t give a crap if she?s photographed with Alicia in particular.
Now, are they dating? I have no idea. If they are, God bless and I wish them well. I think Kristen?s aim at this point in her life, post-Twilight and post-Mini Coopering, is to play her personal life closer to the vest. No more public declarations of love, no more chatting about her boyfriend/girlfriend in interviews. At least that seems to be her current phase.
