As I mentioned earlier this week, I was surprised that Alicia Cargile didn?t join Kristen Stewart in Paris this week when Kristen made an appearance as a model in the Chanel show. Whether you believe Alicia and Kristen are dating (they are dating), we can all agree that they?ve been attached at the hip for more than a year. Kristen has been consistently traveling with, vacationing with and working beside Alicia for a while now. So why did Alicia skip the Paris trip? Why did Kristen want to just hang out with Riley Keough and Kanye West? I don?t know. But maybe it?s because Alicia has sort of taken over Kristen?s life to a point where it?s kind of suffocating? That?s my interpretation of this Star story:
According to insiders, Kristen Stewart?s former personal assistant turned live-in girlfriend Alicia Cargile is in complete control of the actress?s life.
?At first, Alicia was just reading over Kristen?s scripts, helping her make decisions for movie roles,? says a pal. ?Now she makes sure Kristen?s bills are paid, arranges their dinner plans and even answers Kristen?s phone!?
Kristen is more than happy to let her girlfriend take the reins. ?She gets completely overwhelmed when she?s working on set. With Alicia around, Kristen can just concentrate on her acting.?

If Kristen was a man and his live-in girlfriend was doing all this, most of us wouldn?t blink an eye. I actually don?t think there?s a huge problem with it, mostly because Alicia was Kristen?s assistant and I could see then falling into that dynamic in their relationship without even being conscious of it. Like, ?Can you organize this for me, hon? Can you do this? Can you wait for the cable guy?? Etc. Still, I wonder how messy this could get if and when Kristen and Alicia split.

Here are some photos from last night?s Women In Film 2015 Crystal + Lucy Awards. They got a good turnout, which usually happens (although it feels like this event comes around four times a year). Kristen Stewart made her first public outing since her mom maybe ?outed? her ? Kristen came out to support Twilight author Stephanie Meyer, also seen in one of these photos. Kristen wore Proenza Schouler Fall 2015 for this outing. (PS? She did not walk the carpet.)
As for Kristen and her mom ? it?s complicated. Her mom was quoted as giving a solid confirmation about Kristen?s relationship with Alicia Cargile. The next day, Jules Stewart denied saying anything about Kristen?s relationship to the Daily Mirror. But the journalist, Sharon Feinstein, claims that she has the audio recording of the conversation but that the Daily Mirror isn?t going to call out Jules Stewart at this time. Is Kristen mad at her mom? Does Kristen not even care? I have no idea.

As we discussed yesterday, Kristen Stewart?s mom, Jules Stewart, gave an interview to the Daily Mirror, a British tabloid/newspaper. Within the interview, in quotes directly attributed to Jules Stewart, Jules apparently confirmed that Kristen has a girlfriend, that Kristen identifies as bisexual and that none of it is any big deal. Many sites ran the interview like it was ?OMG, Huge Confirmation!? but as I said? anyone paying even slight attention to Kristen over the past year already knew that she and Alicia Cargile were together. And now it?s looking like Jules maybe didn?t even say any of it. Hm.
No outing here! Kristen Stewart?s mom Jules is debunking a new story in British tabloid, The Mirror, which printed an interview with her that began trending over the weekend.
In the interview, conducted by Sharon Feinstein, Jules reportedly outed her daughter, supposedly saying, ?What?s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She?s happy. I?ve met Kristen?s new girlfriend, I like her.?
The only problem with the quotes? Jules never said them.
?I spoke to Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11 that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum,? she told Us Weekly. ?It?s currently there under the LGBT banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for TheWolfConnection.org. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!?
Noting that she is a ?huge supporter of gay rights,? Jules went on to acknowledge that she briefly spoke about Stewart?s personal assistant Alicia Cargile, whom The Mirror claimed is Stewart?s girlfriend.
?I said, ?Yes, she?s a lovely girl,?? Jules said, when asked if she knew Cargile.

My first thought was? wow, if you believe Jules? denial, that was a huge leap for the Daily Mirror. I mean, they openly attributed all of those quotes to Jules, it wasn?t a case of ?sources close to Jules say yadda yadda.? And Jules admits that she did speak to the Mirror and that they asked her about Alicia and she answered, but she apparently never confirmed that Kristen and Alicia are together. Hm. I don?t know, you guys. On one hand, I wouldn?t put it past the Mirror to make something up entirely. On the other hand, the Mirror might have the receipts (like, audio of Jules Stewart saying exactly what they printed). We?ll see.

Kristen Stewart has been dating for Alicia Cargile for more than a year. Alicia is the only person Kristen has stepped out with publicly in the past year, and by all accounts, they live together, vacation together, party together and they are a couple in every way. Most media outlets have been hesitant to refer to Alicia as anything other than ?Kristen?s gal-pal? or ?Kristen?s roommate? or whatever. But it always felt like Kristen?s actions were pretty clear ? they were dating, they were together, they were girlfriends. And now Kristen?s mom Jules Stewart has come right out and said it.
Twilight actress Kristen Stewart has found new love ? with her personal assistant Alicia Cargile. The star?s mum Jules Stewart has given her blessing to the relationship, which comes two years after Kristen, 25, split from long-term love Robert Pattinson, 29. Jules, 55, told the Sunday Mirror she has met Alicia and that the couple are very happy together.
She added: ?What?s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She?s happy. She?s my daughter, I?m just her mom so she knows I would accept her choices. I?ve met Kristen?s new girlfriend, I like her. What?s not to accept? She?s a lovely girl.?
Jules, who also has a Hollywood career as a script supervisor, added: ?I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want. I accept my daughter loves women and men. It?s OK to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends so we should be free to choose our lovers. People are good to do whatever they like as long as they?re not hurting people or breaking the law. I have gay friends, family members, I?m accepting of people, we are all free to choose who we want to love.?
Martial arts nut Kristen?s relationship with Twilight co-star R-Patz ended after she was seen kissing married Rupert Sanders, 44, who directed her in Snow White and the Huntsman. Since then she has kept her love life under wraps. Meanwhile Pattinson is now said to be engaged to singer FKA twigs, 27 ? and it was claimed this week he will even invite Kristen to his wedding.
Jules said of Kristen?s new love: ?They were a great couple, but she?s 25 years old and I?d like to see her have a lot more life experience before she chooses someone to settle down with. I?m very sad that Kristen and Robert didn?t have a chance to be alone together, they had to have the whole world with them and all the public stuff ruined everything, life became overwhelming. But Kristen has learnt to handle her emotions and deal with her problems through the martial arts.?

? Through the martial arts? Kristen got over Sparkles by learning martial arts. Sure. As for Jules coming right out and saying that Kristen has a girlfriend? as I said, we really have known that for a while. It also feels like Jules is saying Kristen self-identifies as bisexual too ? ?I accept my daughter loves women and men.? So when Kristen dated Robert Pattinson, it was real, just as her romantic relationship with Alicia is real. Will people accept that at face value? Or will there still be conspiracies about Kristen?s ?real? sexuality?

Here are some photos of Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend Alicia Cargile out and about in LA over the weekend. It?s difficult to figure out how long they?ve been together because they were friends for so long and then at some point, friendship crossed over into something else. My guess is that their romantic relationship has been happening for more than a year ? the first tabloid stories about them began in April 2014.
As for their style? those mom jeans hurt me. Kristen?s casual street style is so hit or miss ? I?ll admit that I?m not a big fan of skinny jeans, but I?ll take skinny jeans over these light-wash mom jeans any day of the week. I feel like Kristen and Alicia have a real thing for the ?90s look, which is what I grew up with. This is how my friends dressed in the mid ?90s: bad jeans, Nirvana t-shirt, Chuck Taylors (or Vans), unwashed hair. All we need now is some Patchouli oil, Marlboro Lights and Portishead on the CD player and the ?90s will officially be back.
Here?s something I missed ? Kristen is currently filming or about to film Billy Lynn?s Long Halftime Walk with Oscar-winning director Ang Lee. Per THR:
The film centers around a 19-year-old private (Alwyn) who survives a battle in Iraq, which is captured by news cameras. He and his company of soldiers are brought back to the U.S. for a promotional tour culminating in a halftime show at a Thanksgiving Day football game. Most of the movie takes place during the day of the game, with flashbacks to the wartime events.

Garrett Hedlund is in it, as is Steve Martin and Joe Alwyn. That?s some very good company for Kristen ? I?m actually pretty impressed with the projects she?s been taking on. She?s rarely the star, she?s favoring ensemble or supporting work, she?s focusing on indie projects and good directors and she managed to win a Cesar Award. Let?s be honest ? she?s figured out a way to transition from the Twilight franchise with more success than Robert Pattinson. Interesting, isn?t it?

I forgot that Kristen Stewart made this movie! The NSFW Red Band trailer was released for American Ultra, otherwise known as the stoner action movie. Think Dazed & Confused meets The Bourne Identity. Jesse Eisenberg plays the stoner assassin and Kristen Stewart plays his girlfriend and the damsel in distress. It?s supposed to be a stoner comedy with badass action sequences. It could have ended up failing hard, but I kind of think the trailer makes it look pretty enjoyable?

Kristen barely annoys me here. Jesse actually seems really intriguing. I?ve always worried that he?s somewhat one-note, like he can do socially awkward nerds and not much else, so it?s nice to see him doing such a physical part and having such funny line readings. There?s a problem with the casual use of the n-word (by John Leguizamo?s drug dealer character), but then I laughed when he said ?Nurr?? like Madea. So, I don?t know. Will this be a hit? I would see it for Jesse more than K-Stew.

People are also making a big deal about this X17 video of Kristen being asked some really stupid questions at LAX a few days ago. The paparazzi ask her if she?s still in love with Robert Pattinson (REALLY?) and if she plans to move to Ireland with her girlfriend now that gay marriage is legal over there. Kristen just ignores everyone and puts in her ear buds. This is the kind of thing that makes me feel legitimately sorry for her.
Last piece of Kristen news ? during the Cannes Film Festival, Olivier Assayas?s announced his new film, Personal Shopper. Assayas?s last film was Clouds of Sils Maria, which earned Kristen a Cesar Award (a first for an American actress). So, obviously, Assayas wants to reunite with K-Stew in the lead role for his new film. Personal Shopper is about (I?m quoting directly from Variety): ?a Paris-set English-language ghost story taking place in the fashion underworld.? That sounds????

Adding to her already-jam-packed schedule, Kristen Stewart just announced she?ll star in the forthcoming ?Personal Shopper? ghost flick.
Directed by ?Clouds of Sils Maria? helmsman Olivier Assayas, the project is said to be a paranormal story that is set in the world of fashion.
Stewart will begin shooting in Paris later this year and at this point all major plot details are still under wraps. Stay linked to the GossipCenter for further updates on ?Personal Shopper.?

Before we get to the epic Met Gala coverage ? which will start momentarily ? I just wanted to cover these photos from the Chanel 2015/16 Cruise collection. There was a minor scandal when Chanel released the date for this big PR/fashion event ? the Met Gala had been on the books for months before Karl Lagerfeld decided to show the Cruise collection the very same day? in Seoul, South Korea. Do you think it was shade aimed at Anna Wintour? Do you think this is Karl?s way of hating on the Met Gala?
Anyway, Kristen Stewart, one of the faces of Chanel these days, was one of the big celebrity guests. Which meant that she couldn?t attend the Met Gala, as she has in years past (usually to terrible results). Was that a good choice? Honoring her contract with Chanel instead of coming out to the biggest fashion event of the year? It?s a tough call. Made easier by the fact that her ex, Robert Pattinson, came to the Met Gala with his fiance, FKA Twigs. Hm. As for Kristen?s look here? she looks great. The dress works on her, I don?t mind the hair at all and her makeup is on point. She even made an effort to look less sulky than usual. Huzzah!
More photos? Gisele Bundchen going solo at the Cruise collection. She didn?t walk the runway (she?s retired!), but she came out for Karl and Chanel.

I included a preview of Kristen Stewart?s Harper?s Bazaar UK cover in yesterday?s links. I was actually waiting for any interview excerpts before I discussed the cover and editorial, even though this photoshoot is one of the best I?ve seen from Kristen in a while. Kristen is a pretty good ?model? ? she can look great with strong styling or very light, undone styling. For the past year or so, most of her magazine editorials have been with a tomboy-vibe, nothing girly or frilly. I enjoy the fact that Bazaar UK put her in this Pink Chanel and posed her on a beach ? the result is rather stunning, isn?t it?
As for the interview? Bazaar promised us ?sexuality, sexism and her search for serenity.? Did they deliver? Eh. Some highlights:
Being famous at such a young age: ?Having that much human energy thrust at you and then being critically analysed is obviously disarming. Control issues make me so nervous. It?s not knowing what?s going to happen. So what people were seeing was what happens when you are terrified. My palms sweat, my knees shake, I don?t think I can stand in my heels, I?m breathing heavily, I feel nauseous. I?ll be so nervous and then my body creates something to calm me down and I get so tired I?ll just…? and she slumps over the table.
Hollywood is sexist: “Women inevitably have to work a little bit harder to be heard. Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. It’s crazy. It’s so offensive it’s crazy.?
On fame: ?Fame is the worst thing in the world. Especially if it’s pointless. When people say, ‘I want to be famous’ Why? You don’t do anything.”
Body image: “I’m a little bigger than sample size when I’m eating cheeseburgers and am happy and comfortable. If I’m stressed or working, the weight falls off. My weight and my sleep are tied to my nervous system. Sometimes I’ll sleep for 12 hours a night and sometimes sleep just doesn’t exist for me for a couple of months.”
Filming sex scenes: “I only hate them when they’re contrived. That’s when it’s grotesquely uncomfortable. On Twilight we had to do the most epic sex scene of all time. It had to be transcendent and otherworldly, inhuman, better sex than you can possibly ever imagine, and we were like, ‘How do we live up to that?’ It was agony. Which sucks, because I wanted it to be so good.”

So?not so much about ?sexuality?. Which is fine. Kristen doesn?t have to confirm or deny anything, mostly because her actions speak louder than words, even if it makes the mainstream press uncomfortable with how to reference Kristen?s girlfriend Alicia Cargile. Kristen does seem to have done a lot of growing up in the past few years. I like that she?s gone back to her indie roots, and I think she?ll probably figure out an interesting career path for herself long-term post-Twilight. And I do think she?s telling the truth about being a nervous, fidgety, high-strung person. But I still don?t understand people who can sleep for 12 hours at a time consistently. How do you DO that?
