I?m a Virgo. Beyonce is a Virgo. Prince Harry is a Virgo. Idris Elba is a Virgo. Keanu Reeves is a Virgo. Virgos are amazing people, but we are anal retentive, highly organized and very scheduled-routine-oriented. My stomach starts to hurt if I?m running late for an appointment. I work from home and I largely set my own schedule, and I stick to the same damn schedule because I love that routine. Parents of Virgo children can probably attest to that as well: Virgo children have their own internal clock, and they easily fall into routines and sleep schedules. That?s what Katy Perry has found out too. Her daughter Daisy was born on August 26th, which means the baby is a Virgo. And guess what? According to Katy Perry, little Daisy loves her routine.
Katy Perrys baby girl is chained to the rhythm of a routine! Appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Monday, alongside her American Idol cohorts Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, the Not the End of the World singer, 36, opened up about her working-mom schedule with daughter Daisy Dove, 5 months, whom she shares with fianc Orlando Bloom.
She jokes that the babys astrological sign, Virgo, means she does best with a routine.
Yeah, of course theres a routine. My daughter is a Virgo and she thrives in routine, Perry tells co-host Ryan Seacrest with a smile. But I did start filming American Idol season 4 after Id given birth, five weeks later. And I didnt plan that. But it was like, Oh, my God! It was so intense, you know? Giving birth, then going back to work and breastfeeding, like ? holy crap! This is what women do? Oh my God! she adds.
Co-host Kelly Ripa, a mom of three, agrees, Its kinda amazing. Its like you cant believe what your body is capable of, right?

If you watch the video, Katy isn?t joking. Daisy must already be a sleep schedule and feeding schedule and all hell probably breaks loose if you mess with the child?s schedule. You know who I feel sorry for? Daisy Bloom. Born to a Capricorn father and a Scorpio mother. Daisy will know no peace. Her daily routines are going to be yanked away from her regularly. No, in all seriousness, I think Katy got herself really ready psychologically for motherhood and I bet she?s a great mother. For a Scorpio.

Here are some photos of Katy Perry in Australia, where she performed at the women?s cricket World Cup and then stuck around Melbourne to do some press. This was Katy?s first big event as a pregnant lady, although to be fair? she?s been pregnant for months and doing tons of events, we just didn?t know that she was preg. She performed on International Women?s Day at a women?s sporting event on purpose, for feminism and the ladies and all of that. She also said that she hopes she?s having a girl. Surely she?s far enough long where she could find out the sex? And now that her pregnancy is out, Katy is free to talk about any and all pregnancy cravings (which I honestly love hearing about):
Katy Perry has developed some rather unusual cravings since falling pregnant with her fianc, Orlando Bloom. The 35-year-old pop star told Smallzys Surgery on Monday that she has become obsessed with spice and even carries a bottle of Tabasco sauce wherever she goes. Katy described her cravings as weird, adding: Im not a fan of spicy foods, and all of a sudden all I want to eat is spice!
The Roar singer explained that a friend had given her a limited edition bottle of Tabasco before she became pregnant last year. After getting pregnant, I literally pulled out this bedazzled Tabasco bottle [and said], You are my holy grail, I will bring you everywhere! Ive never been a fan of spice, but spice up your life!
During a Q&A with fans, Katy admitted she had been eating the same burrito for weeks on end and was obsessed with dried mango. She also spoke of her fixation with hot sauce, saying: I like, literally, never cared for spice, and now I have to carry Tabasco sauce in my purse like that woman some people have essential oils, and I have Tabasco sauce!
Katy went on to reveal that beef grosses her out and she has resorted to eating plant-based Impossible Burgers instead.

Katy joins a small list (??) of ladies who keep hot sauce in their bag. The list includes Beyonce and Hillary Clinton. I?m a little bit surprised that the spicy food isn?t giving her heartburn, because I?ve heard that pregnancy heartburn is real and it is bad. I also find the ?beef is now gross to me? thing interesting, because I?ve heard so many pregnant women feel the opposite, that they crave meat while preg, especially red meat. Oh well, everybody?s different. Somebody get Katy a spicy veggie burger.

They?ve been planning their wedding for a while, so? this isn?t really a shotgun wedding, and yet?? Katy Perry is knocked up! She debuted her baby bump in these cheesy music video for this cheesy song ?Never Worn White.?
First of all, OH MY GOD. This song is terrible! I?m sure some people will insist on playing at their weddings but, again, OH MY GOD. Anyway, if the visual proof was not enough for you, Katy confirmed everything on her Instagram Stories last night. She told fans: ?There?s a lot that?s happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally, and figuratively?to something you guys have been waiting for.? She thanked her fans for the all the well-wishes and she said: ?I?m excited, we?re excited, and happy. It?s probably the longest secret I?ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.?

Heres a story that could have had a much more tragic ending than it did: Last week, a gas leak caused the evacuation of the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon, while Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan were filming American Idol auditions there. I recently wrote about Katy Perry and her interest/fetishization with Asian culture, specifically Indian culture. Personally, I?ve give Katy a pass on some of it she obviously loves India and Indian clothes and maybe even Indian people. But yeah, she?s often right on the line of fetishization and appropriation. I have a point, I promise! Katy Perry was just named the new ambassador for Prince Charles? British Asian Trust charity. Yes. Go ahead and make the Scarlett Johansson jokes, everybody else did! To be fair, ScarJo has made it clear that she?s Japanese and should be allowed to play Japanese characters. Katy Perry just loves to wear Indian clothes & jewelry and ride elephants like she?s a maharaja. Also, how terrible does it look for Prince Charles that he named a white American woman to his Asian charity??
Pop star Katy Perry has been named by Britains Prince Charles as an ambassador of the British Asian Trust charity. Perrys appointment, announced at the charitys annual dinner in London Tuesday, comes after she met the prince in Mumbai last year and learned about the British Asian Trusts work. The trust, founded by Prince Charles, is an international development charity that tackles poverty and inequality in South Asia. Perry will support the charitys work to reduce child trafficking and abuse in India.
The American singer said in a statement that India had long held a special place in her heart, adding that she was honored to be a part of finding solutions to child trafficking. Perry, who is also a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations childrens agency, UNICEF, added: Children are vulnerable and innocent and have to be protected.
Other ambassadors at the British Asian Trust include the musician Naughty Boy and the broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake. The organization estimates that there are 5.8 million children in India who work as forced labor and believes that tens of thousands work in dangerous workshops in the city of Jaipur alone. The charity operates in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Again, though, why Katy Perry? There are so many Bollywood stars, there are British-Indian actors living in London, there are British-Pakistani celebrities living in England, etc. Why Katy, why specifically for this charity? The charity sounds fine, I guess, although I bet its work overlaps with dozens of other charities in India and Pakistan.

It feels like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged like three years ago, but in reality, it was just in February. He gave her a heart-shaped ring and they promptly began planning their wedding. Personally, I?ve always felt like Katy and Orly?s dynamic was ?she?s in charge, her career comes first and Orlando is sort of fine with it.? Maybe I?m wrong, who really knows. My point is that I bet Katy is the one driving the wedding planning too, and that Orlando perhaps isn?t getting much of a say. And it looks like Katy decided to postpone the destination wedding because of an issue with the locale. Hm.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom aren?t heading down the aisle just yet. The pair were set to tie the knot this month, but a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that the wedding?s been postponed.
?They changed the timing due to the location they want,? says the insider. Not to worry ? everything?s still going smoothly for the couple. ?They?re beyond in love,? the source adds, noting that the singer, 35, and the actor, 42, are enjoying every minute of planning their nuptials.
?They?re going to have one local wedding party, and the other will be a destination wedding party,? the source adds. Babies are also on the brain: ?Katy wants to have her first kid soon after they get married,? adds the insider.

When Katy married Russell Brand, they did a destination wedding? in India! Is it bad form to do a second destination wedding for a second marriage? My thought is? I would want my second wedding to be different from my first wedding, especially if the first marriage ended in divorce after a few years. Destination wedding in India for the first one, that means doing a quiet LA wedding for the second one. But clearly, Katy does not agree. She has enough money to do whatever she wants, so whatever. I just don?t get all of the Wedding Tourism stuff. Where will the second wedding be held? Italy? France? Japan? Katy was just in Egypt with a huge crew too.
