Here are some photos of Katy Perry in Australia, where she performed at the women?s cricket World Cup and then stuck around Melbourne to do some press. This was Katy?s first big event as a pregnant lady, although to be fair? she?s been pregnant for months and doing tons of events, we just didn?t know that she was preg. She performed on International Women?s Day at a women?s sporting event on purpose, for feminism and the ladies and all of that. She also said that she hopes she?s having a girl. Surely she?s far enough long where she could find out the sex? And now that her pregnancy is out, Katy is free to talk about any and all pregnancy cravings (which I honestly love hearing about):
Katy Perry has developed some rather unusual cravings since falling pregnant with her fianc, Orlando Bloom. The 35-year-old pop star told Smallzys Surgery on Monday that she has become obsessed with spice and even carries a bottle of Tabasco sauce wherever she goes. Katy described her cravings as weird, adding: Im not a fan of spicy foods, and all of a sudden all I want to eat is spice!
The Roar singer explained that a friend had given her a limited edition bottle of Tabasco before she became pregnant last year. After getting pregnant, I literally pulled out this bedazzled Tabasco bottle [and said], You are my holy grail, I will bring you everywhere! Ive never been a fan of spice, but spice up your life!
During a Q&A with fans, Katy admitted she had been eating the same burrito for weeks on end and was obsessed with dried mango. She also spoke of her fixation with hot sauce, saying: I like, literally, never cared for spice, and now I have to carry Tabasco sauce in my purse like that woman some people have essential oils, and I have Tabasco sauce!
Katy went on to reveal that beef grosses her out and she has resorted to eating plant-based Impossible Burgers instead.

Katy joins a small list (??) of ladies who keep hot sauce in their bag. The list includes Beyonce and Hillary Clinton. I?m a little bit surprised that the spicy food isn?t giving her heartburn, because I?ve heard that pregnancy heartburn is real and it is bad. I also find the ?beef is now gross to me? thing interesting, because I?ve heard so many pregnant women feel the opposite, that they crave meat while preg, especially red meat. Oh well, everybody?s different. Somebody get Katy a spicy veggie burger.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom announced their engagement last year, almost a year ago exactly (Orly proposed on Valentine?s Day 2019). They?ve been planning their wedding for a while, so? this isn?t really a shotgun wedding, and yet?? Katy Perry is knocked up! She debuted her baby bump in these cheesy music video for this cheesy song ?Never Worn White.?
First of all, OH MY GOD. This song is terrible! I?m sure some people will insist on playing at their weddings but, again, OH MY GOD. Anyway, if the visual proof was not enough for you, Katy confirmed everything on her Instagram Stories last night. She told fans: ?There?s a lot that?s happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally, and figuratively?to something you guys have been waiting for.? She thanked her fans for the all the well-wishes and she said: ?I?m excited, we?re excited, and happy. It?s probably the longest secret I?ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.?

Heres a story that could have had a much more tragic ending than it did: Last week, a gas leak caused the evacuation of the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon, while Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan were filming American Idol auditions there. I recently wrote about Katy Perry and her interest/fetishization with Asian culture, specifically Indian culture. Personally, I?ve give Katy a pass on some of it she obviously loves India and Indian clothes and maybe even Indian people. But yeah, she?s often right on the line of fetishization and appropriation. I have a point, I promise! Katy Perry was just named the new ambassador for Prince Charles? British Asian Trust charity. Yes. Go ahead and make the Scarlett Johansson jokes, everybody else did! To be fair, ScarJo has made it clear that she?s Japanese and should be allowed to play Japanese characters. Katy Perry just loves to wear Indian clothes & jewelry and ride elephants like she?s a maharaja. Also, how terrible does it look for Prince Charles that he named a white American woman to his Asian charity??
Pop star Katy Perry has been named by Britains Prince Charles as an ambassador of the British Asian Trust charity. Perrys appointment, announced at the charitys annual dinner in London Tuesday, comes after she met the prince in Mumbai last year and learned about the British Asian Trusts work. The trust, founded by Prince Charles, is an international development charity that tackles poverty and inequality in South Asia. Perry will support the charitys work to reduce child trafficking and abuse in India.
The American singer said in a statement that India had long held a special place in her heart, adding that she was honored to be a part of finding solutions to child trafficking. Perry, who is also a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations childrens agency, UNICEF, added: Children are vulnerable and innocent and have to be protected.
Other ambassadors at the British Asian Trust include the musician Naughty Boy and the broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake. The organization estimates that there are 5.8 million children in India who work as forced labor and believes that tens of thousands work in dangerous workshops in the city of Jaipur alone. The charity operates in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Again, though, why Katy Perry? There are so many Bollywood stars, there are British-Indian actors living in London, there are British-Pakistani celebrities living in England, etc. Why Katy, why specifically for this charity? The charity sounds fine, I guess, although I bet its work overlaps with dozens of other charities in India and Pakistan.

It feels like Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged like three years ago, but in reality, it was just in February. He gave her a heart-shaped ring and they promptly began planning their wedding. Personally, I?ve always felt like Katy and Orly?s dynamic was ?she?s in charge, her career comes first and Orlando is sort of fine with it.? Maybe I?m wrong, who really knows. My point is that I bet Katy is the one driving the wedding planning too, and that Orlando perhaps isn?t getting much of a say. And it looks like Katy decided to postpone the destination wedding because of an issue with the locale. Hm.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom aren?t heading down the aisle just yet. The pair were set to tie the knot this month, but a source exclusively reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that the wedding?s been postponed.
?They changed the timing due to the location they want,? says the insider. Not to worry ? everything?s still going smoothly for the couple. ?They?re beyond in love,? the source adds, noting that the singer, 35, and the actor, 42, are enjoying every minute of planning their nuptials.
?They?re going to have one local wedding party, and the other will be a destination wedding party,? the source adds. Babies are also on the brain: ?Katy wants to have her first kid soon after they get married,? adds the insider.

When Katy married Russell Brand, they did a destination wedding? in India! Is it bad form to do a second destination wedding for a second marriage? My thought is? I would want my second wedding to be different from my first wedding, especially if the first marriage ended in divorce after a few years. Destination wedding in India for the first one, that means doing a quiet LA wedding for the second one. But clearly, Katy does not agree. She has enough money to do whatever she wants, so whatever. I just don?t get all of the Wedding Tourism stuff. Where will the second wedding be held? Italy? France? Japan? Katy was just in Egypt with a huge crew too.

A few weeks ago, Katy Perry was in court in Los Angeles because she had to testify about an alleged copyright infringement. As it turns out, Katy was being sued by Christian rapper Marcus Gray (aka Flame), who claimed Katy copied parts of his song ?Joyful Noise? with her Dr. Luke-produced song ?Dark Horse.? I remember when ?Dark Horse? came out and it sounded different than most of Katy?s songs at the time, but it never occurred to me that she had lifted the beat from Flame. Well, the trial lasted a week and? Katy Perry is guilty of copyright infringement, according to a jury.
After a weeklong trial, a California jury has concluded that Katy Perrys Dark Horse is a copyright infringement. The lawsuit was brought by Christian rapper Marcus Gray, professionally known as Flame, who asserted that Perrys 2013 hit tread on his own work titled Joyful Noise. In particular, the plaintiff alleged that the Dr. Luke-produced song took his underlying beat.
At trial, both Perry and Luke insisted they had never heard of Joyful Noise, while Gray pointed to his songs success in a niche market. He offered the theory that the defendants may have heard it at the Grammy Awards or seen it on YouTube or MySpace, where the song was played millions of times. The defendants also attempted to knock the plaintiffs ownership of infringing material by pointing to how the beat was allegedly preexisting material. Finally, Perry and Luke called experts to the witness stand in an effort to show a lack of any substantial similarity of protected expression. The trial had colorful moments, from Perry offering to perform her hit live amid difficulties with the courtroom sound system, to a shooting that took place just outside the courthouse on the day Dr. Luke testified.
Most copyright cases either settle or are dismissed before ever getting to trial, but Dark Horse joined Blurred Lines and Stairway to Heaven as songcraft thats been put to a jury this decade. Jurors began deliberating after closing arguments Thursday, and returned their decision Monday afternoon. The verdict means the case will proceed to a damages phase, which will begin Tuesday. Still pending is a motion from Perrys lawyers on Thursday asking U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder to rule that no reasonable jury could find copyright infringement based on the evidence presented at trial.

I?m including the separate songs below, plus a YouTube-user-made video comparing the songs side-by-side. To me, it feels like the ?Blurred Lines? infringement was a lot clearer. I also remember another case where Tom Petty?s people (when Petty was still alive) went to Sam Smith privately and told Smith that they thought ?Stay With Me? sounded a lot like ?Won?t Back Down.? Smith and Petty worked out everything out of court, and I believe Petty even has some kind of songwriting credit for ?Stay With Me? now. My point is that I wonder if Flame went to Katy?s people and tried to work this stuff out privately, or whether he filed the lawsuit first.

Most celebrities go out and party after the Met Gala. There are probably a dozen major afterparties around New York following the gala, and many celebrities change into more comfortable ensembles post-gala. Not Katy Perry. Katy was dressed like a friggin? chandelier at the Met Gala, then she changed into a hamburger costume for the afterparties. Which was more comfortable, I wonder? It did make for some funny moments though Katy ran into Lizzo, who laughed and asked her ?are you a fking slider?? I?m also including photos of Katy running into Celine Dion on the street and Celine was trying desperately to give the Katyburger a big hug. This also happened to Katyburger:
Met Gala fashionistas feasted their eyes in amazement on Katy Perry, who wiped out in a giant hamburger costume at Gucci?s wild after-party ? and then was unable to get back up. Perry took the gala?s camp theme to the next level by changing into a burger costume late Monday night, complete with all the trimmings ? bun, beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and cheese, plus a toothpick hat ? from which the singer?s hands only partly protruded.
Witnesses said Perry was so encased in the burger ensemble that others were forced to help feed her because she couldn?t reach her mouth. But despite being encased in a Jeremy Scott-designed barrel of rubber, Perry didn?t hold back on the dance floor at the late-night after-party at Hunter College?s basketball court. She was seen dancing with pals including model Karlie Kloss, enthusiastically shimmying her oversize slider and bumping the burger up and down to beats from DJ Mark Ronson.
That is, she did until around 1 a.m., when Perry fell flat on her buns on the dance floor, and lay there motionless, unable to get back up, while her little legs were seen wiggling out of the bottom of the whopper of a costume. Two partygoers came to the aid of the stricken star, hauling her back to her feet, before Perry wobbled away.
An eyewitness said, ?It was the funniest thing I?ve ever seen. Katy .?.?. just toppled over. Once she was on the floor, she couldn?t get up .?.?. She rolled around a little, but she was stuck because she had no arms. People rushed over and literally picked her up.?

Page Six has a way with imagery, right? ?Her little legs were seen wiggling out of the bottom of the whopper of a costume?? Just the thought of the Katyburger lying there, flat on her lettuce, trying to figure out a way to get up. It?s perfect.
Meanwhile, the gossip is that Jeremy Scott who designed Katy?s hamburger costume and her chandelier costume threw a bad afterparty at the Playboy Club. One person called it a ?disaster? and another called it a ?debacle.?

Controversial opinion: I love Katy Perry?s current hairstyle. The color could be softer but the style is darling and I kind of wish I could pull it off. Katy, as we know, recently got engaged to her maybe-we-are-maybe-we-aren?t partner, Orlando Bloom. Honestly, I didn?t think they had it in them to go the distance, but I was surprised at how happy I was to hear the news. So far, all we knew was that they got engaged and what Katy?s ring looked like. But while on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote American Idol, Katy gave some details about the proposal, and it sounds simply? hilarious. Apparently, it was supposed to be a grand romantic adventure and it turned into a wine-soaked debacle, which is good for us because that?s a more interesting story.
It was Valentine?s Day, usually people are breaking up or having major displays of affection. This one was a good one. We went to dinner and I thought we were going to see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter. It was really sweet, he asked me to marry him in a helicopter. Actually, the funny part is, we had champagne in the helicopter and the box was in his pocket and he had written a note with everything he wanted to say in a note you know, to divert, right? He was going to pull (the ring) out while I?m reading it. So I?m reading it, but I?m hearing, like, the champagne is broken, the bottle?s everywhere and I?m still looking at the note because he?s pulling out this box that?s too big for his coat pocket and it rips his coat pocket and his elbow goes into the champagne and I?m, like, ?No, I?m just reading the note, I know you?re not doing anything.?
Katy said that when the helicopter landed, her family and friends were waiting to congratulate them so it all worked out and she was very happy. I?m glad it?s the proposal she wanted. I did not want a dramatic or public proposal, mainly because I didn?t want anyone to know I was getting proposed to before me. But if I were to have something over the top, I would definitely have wanted it to go t!ts up like this one. I won?t even start on the logistics of getting an oversized box into a too-small pocket, but could you imagine? All the planning and effort and things start, literally, coming apart at the seams. And I?m just inferring here, but I?d guess Orlando forewent the bended knee because he didn?t want a trouser leg drenched in champagne for the engagement party awaiting them. He?s lucky the ring didn?t go flying out the window. Some bobcat would be running around Malibu Canyon telling hikers she?d just landed Legolas. As for the ring, Katy told Kimmel that she?d ?voiced her opinion? on which ring she wanted. Considering how similar it looks to the former Mrs. Bloom?s, one wonders where she got her inspiration.
Katy started the clip talking about In N Out Burger and how she and Orlando originally bonded over it. I wonder of the rest if you get tired of Californians talking about In N Out? I feel like we talk about it way too much, especially since *warning ? second controversial opinion* it?s just okay. Our avocados, however, now there?s something to go on about.
