Over the weekend, Kate Moss and her ruggedly handsome husband, Jamie Hince, were spotted at Paul McCartney’s wedding to Nancy Shevell. Naturally, Kate looked gorgeous. Of course, it’s a poorly kept secret amongst my friends that I completely adore Kate Moss as a model, as a trendsetter, and as a bit of a mess who has pulled herself together in the last handful of years. She’s certainly not a classic beauty but has a unique look and has perservered in the fashion world despite the odds; somehow, she’s also emerged as a very shrewd businesswoman. Hell, I even stuck by Kate during her bizarre Pete Doherty-loving phase that lasted a few years, at least. So when Kaiser sent me the link to this story, I was so excited for the simple reason of being able to dig up some of Kate’s old Rimmel adverts (yes, I have collected a folder full of them), especially the ones where she modelled lipstick. You’ll see why in just a moment.
As a model and spokesperson, Kate’s been with Rimmel for over a decade, and she’s soon preparing to launch her own lipstick line with the company. So she’s dished out some of her makeup secrets, which are — um — quite like my own; that is, Kate confesses to shunning lip liner during her offtime and choosing instead to just “shove it on” in regard to lipstick. Yes, she’s freely admitting to such an atrocious practice!
Kate Moss can “feel” when she needs to apply more blusher.
The British supermodel has just created a range of lipsticks in collaboration with Rimmel London. To mark their release she’s opened up about her beauty secrets.
The star has worn flicked eyeliner for so long she doesn’t need a mirror to apply it. She recommends using a kohl pencil rather than a liquid liner as they are easier, especially if there are any mistakes. Kate also doesn’t need to look at herself to know when she needs some extra colour on her face.
“I can feel when I need it. I use a powder and then a cream blush over the top to get a bit of a glow,” she told Style magazine.
When it comes to lipstick she applies and blots three times. She doesn’t bother using a liner or a brush either.
“Make-up artists do that, but I wouldn’t do it on myself. I don’t use a lip liner or a lip brush: I just shove it on,” she laughed.
Kate also uses liquid foundation and bronzer. She has many favourite products and hates it when something she loves can no longer be found. The star has a cunning way of getting round that problem though.
“I tend to keep [old make-up], it’s terrible,” she laughed. “I like one thing, then it goes out of production, so I have to phone up the artist and beg for more. They discontinue the best products, it’s really annoying. I’ve got a lot stockpiled.
“I’ve got a thing about sticky - it can’t be sticky [on my lips]. From doing so many shoots when they get the wind machine out and my hair sticks to me. I get the fear.”
The model would love to create an entire make-up range and it’s something she might do in the future. She enjoys the way cosmetics can transform women, although she doesn’t wear them all the time.
Her nine-year-old daughter Lila Grace prefers her bare-skinned, with Kate waiting for the time when she develops an interest in make-up.
“Oh, yes, I always take my make-up off, because otherwise my daughter will come in and say, ‘Mummy, tut-tut.’ She doesn’t like it. She likes the fresh-faced, natural mummy, when I’ve got my hair in a bun and no make-up on,” Kate said.

Kate’s appeal is very “high street” and translated well into a Topshop clothing collection for several seasons running, so a lipstick line with Rimmel is the perfect extension of her brand, which is not exactly high class but highly affordable and slightly dangerous. However, I do disagree with her about Rimmel’s sticky factor — I have tried their glosses, and they stick like crazy. Their lipstick is okay though, but it’s pretty inexpensive, and you get what you pay for. Regardless, I can’t wait to check out Kate’s new lipsticks when they eventually show up at Target because, you know, I’m classy like that.

Joining in on the exclusive affair, Kate Moss was spotted at newlyweds Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell's home in St. Johns Wood, London last night (October 9).
The English supermodel looked stunning in a short silver sparkly dress as she made her exit in the wee hours of the evening.
Earlier in the day, Paul and Nancy arrived at Old Marylebone Town Hall where they said their marriage vows and were pronounced husband and wife.
Other famous faces at the wedding festivities were Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood, Mark Ronson, and McCartney?s Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr.

Proving that she?s still the hottest model in the land, Kate Moss walked the runway in Louis Vuitton?s Spring/Summer 2012 show yesterday (October 4).
The English dame looked angelic as she worked her magic for the eager fashion fans as part of Paris Fashion Week.
Ms. Moss wore a fabulous white floral lace dress with a feather-trimmed skirt to close out the amazing show.
As for celebrities in the house, stars like Alexa Chung, Rachel Zoe, Olivia Wilde, and Uma Thurman all came out.

Tending to her workday, Kate Moss hit a London, UK photoshoot with celebrity photographer Mario Testino earlier today (September 28).
Ready for some midweek modeling, the 37-year-old stunner donned two outfits for the day's shoot, sporting a belted cream-colored chiffon dress and heels for one round of pictures before changing into a mod-inspired look of thick-rimmed glasses and a super-short printed mini dress for the second.
Just last night, a fresh-faced Kate hit the town, where she was spotted at London's SoHo hotspot Groucho Club.
Joining Miss Moss for some UK nightlife fun was Gerard Butler, who was also pictured leaving the club in the wee hours of the morning.

Taking a break from her filming duties to check out the latest looks, Kristen Stewart turned up at the Mulberry Spring/Summer 2012 runway show in London, England on Sunday morning (September 18).
Held at the Claridges Hotel as part of London Fashion Week, the "Twilight" actress was in quite the cheerful mood as she made her way to a front row perch alongside fellow show attendees including Kate Moss, Romola Garai, Hayley Atwell, Harley Viera Newton and Laura Bailey.
The outing comes as Miss Stewart has been situated in the UK while filming her new movie "Snow White and the Hunstman" - which is due out in June 2012.
Of the 21-year-old's new role, co-star Sam Claflin recently spoke with press about his optimistic expectations, telling, "I've only done one tiny scene with Kristen so far, but I have every hope in her. I truly believe and trust in her and I'm pretty sure she'll do an absolutely diamond job of it."
Claflin added, "I'm pretty sure she's excited about the challenge."

She?s been working with the Rimmel Cosmetics company for 10 years, and earlier today (September 15) Kate Moss introduced her very own line of lipsticks.
The British babe hammed it up at Claridges Hotel to celebrate the launch of the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick Collection.
And it seems Kate can?t stop spending these days- she recently plunked down some serious dough on a brand new Porsche.
An insider revealed, "This new Porsche is just the tip of the iceberg for Kate. Since she got married in July she's been on a massive spending spree and definitely seems to be enjoying flashing the cash.?
"She spent 50,000 pounds in the south of France on an impressive getaway villa. And she also ordered a whole new stock of fancy wines from Bordeaux to stock up her bulging wine cellar. She just can't seem to help herself."

Making the most of her tropical holiday, Kate Moss was spotted headed to lunch in St. Tropez, France today (August 17).
Joined by her daughter Lila Grace, the British supermodel looked summertime sexy in a black tank top, short shorts and sunglasses as she strolled up the street.
In career news, Kate has signed on to be the face of the MANGO Autumn/Winter 2011/12 collection campaign.
Additionally, there are already rumors that Ms. Moss may even be gearing up to design a range for the high-end label in the not-too-distant future.

I?m doing this story just because I wanted to spend ten minutes looking up old photos of Johnny Depp and Kate Moss. Sigh? the 1990s. So much fun. I wish there were more couples like that these days. They were wild and fun and they really loved each other. Anyway, I didn?t even know this was a story, but apparently there are lots of rumors going around about Kate Moss possibly penning a memoir. I did a 2-second Google search and found that Kate was also writing memoirs in 2009, 2006, and beyond, so? this might just be BS. But it?s fun to consider that one of the most private and secretive celebrity-models out there could be telling her story. Go here to Styleite to read more about the memoir rumor.
So that?s the jumping off point for this Enquirer story - Johnny Depp is worried what Kate might write about him in her memoir:

?Johnny is a family man now and Vanessa will flip out if she reads the nitty-gritty details about his wild life with Kate,? claimed the insider.
In the past, Depp has referred to his time with Moss, saying, ?I was a horrific pain in the butt to live with.?
The insider says: ?Kate is still bitter about her breakup with Johnny, and she?ll no doubt use the book as payback? Johnny has called Kate and sent e-mails asking her to leave out any reference to him. But Kate knows Johnny is on eof the main selling points of her life story.?

Yes, the Depp part would be the first part I would flip to - he was the best of Kate?s exes. I mean, Pete Doherty?!? I still can?t believe Kate was with Doherty. So Depp is the selling point?that, and all of those alleged orgies Kate has had with half of London. God, she?s so much fun. I’ve always thought Kate and Johnny were still a little bit hung up on each other - and I’ve always thought Vanessa Paradis looked an awful lot like Kate.
Honestly, though, I doubt Kate is ready to write her memoir - but I think she might do it at some point, maybe when she?s not making millions a year from modeling.

She?s enjoying her newlywed status these days, and Kate Moss chatted about her wedding this summer for her September 2011 cover issue of Vogue magazine.
The British supermodel explained her reasoning behind asking John Galliano to dress her for the occasion. "[I wanted] a classic Galliano, those chiffon 30s kind... I've lived in his dresses for years, and they just make me feel so comfortable."
As for her wedding day jitters, Kate shared, "If I didn't have my friends... I don't know how people do it. I've had big birthday parties, and I've thrown parties for other people, but this is a completely different thing. It's the Met Ball! Because you have to look at every piece of cutlery; the details are intense. And then you wake up thinking about the ballet shoes for the girls; is the satin ribbon right? I've gone mental."
Moss revealed that she finally decided to get hitched to her hubby Jamie Hince while watching a documentary called ?Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.? "I am so romantic about Gypsies. They're not allowed to do anything until they get married. So they all get married really young, at 16. You can't believe the dresses. They're like blinging butterflies times 10; they can't move down the aisle! It's so genius. I was just watching Jamie, so cute, and I was like, these girls, they just spend their whole life waiting for that day-let's do it!"

Church drama: She had originally wanted to get married in the enchanting twelfth-century church at the bottom of her garden, but as it proved too small even for her intimate wedding party (138 guests have been invited to the church ceremony; 39 of those are children), she decided on St. Peter?s Church, in the neighboring village of Southrop, where Lila Grace, her eight-year-old daughter with journalist Jefferson Hack, was christened.
The mood Kate was aiming for: ?I wanted it to be kind of dreamy and 1920s, when everything is soft-focus,? says Kate. ?The Great Gatsby. The code name was GG for a while. That light and that kind of fun decadence. It?s rock-?n?-roll Great Gatsby!? There will be Edwardian marquees in her field and a circus tent for the children, with a miniature drum kit and their own DJ and tepees for them to sleep in. A stage is being built by hand, ?which I?m going to keep for festivals for the future,? she explains.
The bridesmaids & flower girls: There are sixteen bridesmaids and flower girls, ages two to fourteen. ?They are so good together,? says Kate. The children all clearly adore Kate the den mother; she loves nothing more than having her own houses in town and country thronging with them. She even installed a swing in her London dressing room but packed away the precious clothes after they started seeing a bit too much wear and tear.
Kate?s daughter: Lila Grace is very much in control as she corrals the other children and then executes some dance moves to entertain them (she has a ballet performance on the weekend). Her mother?s friends laughingly compare her to Absolutely Fabulous?s Saffy, the studious, long-suffering daughter to Kate?s giddy Edina. ?Mummy, are you stressed?? she asks solicitously at one point.
The dress: In the flurry of pre-wedding madness and nerves, the one thing that is keeping Kate sane is the dress. With characteristic loyalty, she has asked her beleaguered friend John Galliano to work on this. ?When I put the dress on, I?m really happy,? says Kate. ?I forget about everything.? She wanted ?a classic Galliano, those chiffon thirties kind. I?ve lived in his dresses for years, and they just make me feel so comfortable. But it?s so much more couture, couture, couture. Oh, my God, the work that?s going into the dress!? They discussed everything on the phone, and then, when John was out of rehab for the first of four marathon fittings, he brought her ?bags full of bits, and pulled tulle and sequins and veils and flowers out. And then we just kind of pinned things together, like the old days, you know??
Everyone waits for Naomi Campbell: Naomi, in a flurry of lemon-yellow Givenchy gauze, is the last to arrive, so all is right with the world (?Trying to upstage me, bitch?? says Kate, laughing).
The end: At a quarter to five (a.m.) Kate reappears, looking like a Pre-Raphaelite wood sprite in the diaphanous silk-tulle 1930s wedding dress that Katy England found for her bachelorette party, and proceeds to execute an exuberant tango. Everyone?s mother is still on the dance floor. (At her bachelorette weekend, ?my mum was the last to leave,? says Kate, laughing. ?The last man standing, my mum was!?)

Haha, Kate is lucky she didn?t get a face full of phone for calling Naomi a bitch to her face. Hysterical. Honestly, though, I?m not a wedding person, but Kate?s wedding looks and sounds so beautiful and lovely. I think that?s the good part about getting married well into your 30s - you know your own personality, you know what you want, you have your priorities straight, and you can give yourself a great, unique wedding.
