I genuinely don?t know what the original promotional plan for Don?t Worry Darling was, but I have to believe that it wasn?t ?Olivia Wilde goes out solo repeatedly to make an ass out of herself.? I haven?t seen Gemma Chan, Chris Pine or Florence Pugh do one dedicated interview for DWD, although Harry Styles has done some interviews to promote the film, plus his tour plus his other film, My Policeman. Still, DWD?s promo has become The Olivia Wilde Show.
Olivia actually had a one-week reprieve last week, when most gossip outlets were focused on the Toronto International Film Festival and Queen Elizabeth II?s death. Olivia managed to squeak by without too much backlash for her completely fking bonkers Vanity Fair cover story, which mimicked the lies she told to Variety. In the rare moments when she could have actually clarified or apologized for her lies, she?s smugly pontificated about how the DWD shambles is all some gossip conspiracy or something. Meanwhile, Florence won?t do any promotion, and neither will Chris Pine.
So here?s Olivia, going solo this past weekend at the San Sebastian Film Festival. She?s the only person from DWD to show up. For the photocall, she wore a ?70s-style dress from Kwaidan Editions. For the premiere, she wore a green Valentino. I actually like the bold print, I just think she styled it poorly? I hate to say it, but this would have been the moment to do a center part with pin-straight hair, leaning into the ?70s vibe. The Valentino is meh to me too I hate this recent design element to cut the bust so narrow, all to expose some side-boob or whatever.
Meanwhile, Don?t Worry Darling opens this week. Some prognosticators are trying to say that all of the drama around the film will help the box office. I?m not so sure.

In late April, Olivia Wilde attended Cinema Con in Las Vegas, which is an industry event where directors and actors hype their films to theater-owners and studios. Wilde was there to give a presentation for Don?t Worry Darling, which she directed. While she was on stage, a woman stood up from the audience and handed her an envelope. Last week, during CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Olivia Wilde was served with legal documents while she was on stage. The documents were hand-delivered from a process server sitting in the audience, front row. As Olivia was doing a presentation for her film Don?t Worry Darling, the process server approached the stage with the manila envelope (marked ?personal & confidential?) and Olivia accepted it. No one has ever said if the server yelled out ?You?ve been served!? but I doubt it. It?s crazy to think about how Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles have been together for an entire year. They?ve been papped together at times, but they?re not constantly seen together. Harry has been getting back to a concert schedule, and Olivia goes to his concerts when she can. They went on vacation together in Italy over the summer, and they?ll probably stay together through the promotion for Don?t Worry Darling, the release date of which keeps getting pushed back (and it?s currently set to be released in September 2022). I had the sense that Olivia and Harry were pretty much living together already, so I imagine he?s already spending time with Olivia and Jason Sudeikis?s kids, Otis and Daisy. People Magazine says that Olivia and Harry are taking that part of it pretty slowly though:
In addition to celebrating the holiday season, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are about to mark a special milestone: their one-year anniversary. The couple ? who initially connected last year while filming the psychological thriller Dont Worry Darling, starring Styles, 27, and directed by Wilde, 37 ? have a great relationship, a source tells PEOPLE.
As the couple started getting more serious, the Booksmart director introduced the Watermelon Sugar singer to her two children, son Otis, 7, and daughter Daisy, 5, whom she shares with her ex Jason Sudeikis.
Harry is slowly getting to know her kids, says the source Olivia is also spending time with Harrys mom.
The two stars are being mindful about spending time together despite two very busy schedules as Styles just wrapped his Love on Tour, while Wilde finished filming on the period drama Babylon with Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.
[They try] to see each other as much as possible, says the source. Olivia has been flying nonstop between L.A., where her kids live, to join Harry on tour. The insider adds: She always seems focused on just making it all work. She is really Harrys biggest fan.

I hope Harry flies to see her too, and that he?s expending some time, emotional labor and effort to make this relationship work. Because that?s not the impression I get at all. I get the impression that Olivia is the one flying to see him, that she?s doing the balancing act, that it?s all about her emotional labor. Maybe I?m wrong! To be clear, I think Harry likes Olivia and maybe even loves her. But I think he likes that she?s the one rearranging her schedule for him and not the other way around. As for the stuff about the kids? who knows. I think Jason spends a lot of time with their kids and it?s possible that Harry hasn?t been around the kids that much this year.

Is anyone else kind of surprised that Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde haven?t had a dramatic summer? No reports of breakups or makeups, and not just that, no sugary reports about all of their future plans. Olivia and Harry just ARE. They?re living in the moment. They are enjoying each other and everything seems kind of fine between them. We haven?t even talked about them or heard anything about them since early July, when they were photographed making out on a yacht off the coast of Italy. According to People Magazine, they spent the summer together and they?re ?serious? about each other.
After a quiet, romantic summer, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are back at work, yet still setting relationship goals. On Saturday, the Booksmart director stepped out to support the Watermelon Sugar singer at the launch of his Love On Tour in Las Vegas.
Though the director is busy filming her upcoming movie Babylon with Brad Pitt, a source tells PEOPLE in this weeks issue ? Wilde, 37, will join him when she can, while Styles, 27, is on the road.
They seem very serious and happy, the source adds.
Earlier this week, a concertgoer told E! News that Wilde was so happy and dancing all night at his concert. It was very cute. She was singing along to almost every song and having a good time with the people she was with, the eyewitness told the outlet.

Oh, I didn?t realize she was already working. Babylon is filming in LA, and it?s directed by Damien Chazelle. So did Harry and Olivia spend the summer together or nah? Did he join her in LA while she worked or was he prepping his tour somewhere else? Hm. Anyway, I feel pretty strongly that Harry and Olivia will be together for a while longer. At least until their movie is released. Don?t Worry Darling was supposed to come out this year, but it?s already being pushed back to a 2022 release date.

?Harry has been seen taking a break on the beach in Porto Ercole after he finished filming ?My Policeman? in London,? a source exclusively told Page Six. We?re also told Wilde added the Italian getaway to her schedule after spending time with her son, Otis, 7, and daughter, Daisy, 4, whom she shares with ex-fianc Jason Sudeikis.
?Olivia has also been in London, spending time with her kids, who are there with Jason,? the source said. ?Olivia stayed behind with her kids, then she flew into Porto Ercole to join Harry.?

Maybe Olivia has been in London, but she was in LA last week, and Jason has been in New York this week with his girlfriend Keeley. Where are the kids? In London, or in New York with Jason? Or in LA? I think Page Six got the cities wrong. But the Harry Styles-watchers knew that he was in Italy for several days before Olivia arrived. So? it is what it is. I find them to be an odd couple and I?m very curious about what Olivia will say about him once they do break up.

I don?t know about you, but I remember the Taylor Swift-Harry Styles breakup vividly. Their relationship only lasted a couple of months long enough for several pretty pap strolls and they reportedly broke up on or right around New Year?s Eve 2012/New Year?s Day 2013. While Taylor tried to play it like she dumped him and that he was broken up about it, I still remember Harry?s vibe of ?whew, I?m so glad that?s over.? He went back to England post-breakup and Taylor literally flew out there to try to see him!! God, I still remember all of that. I?ve been thinking about that brief Swift-Styles relationship because, honestly, I?m getting a similar vibe from Olivia Wilde. Way too extra, way too fast. And like Swifty?s publicist back then, Olivia?s publicist is doing too much to promote this relationship, complete with careful updates to People Magazine.

My read on Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles? relationship has always been a bit different than the gossip energy around them. The gossip energy veers towards ?good for her? and ?Harry and Olivia forever.? There?s also a dash of ?Olivia deserves to be with a hot guy like Harry after Jason Sudeikis did her wrong!? Which is still kind of absurd to me, since I completely believe Olivia and Jason were having grown-up partnership issues and then Olivia dumped Jason for Harry. My read on Olivia and Harry is that he?s going to look for an exit pretty quickly as well. Still, I?ve been wrong before and I might be wrong now. It looks like Olivia has completely moved out of the LA home she shared with Sudeikis, and she?s moved into a house with Harry Styles.
