When Amanda Seyfried and Justin Long got together in Summer 2013, there were wonderful hints of an offbeat romance. She’s stunning, and he’s an adorable goofball, and they really seemed to dig each other. I especially liked how she broke her pattern of dating an army of douche for Justin. You never hear one bad word about Justin Long, and he has no shady Lohan secrets in his closet like some of the other dudes Amanda dated. Even Finn the dog loved Justin! Justin and Finn got papped together like dog and dad, so I figured Justin would put eventually a ring on it. Earlier this year, Amanda started hinting to magazines that she wanted to start a family soon, which seemed like a make-or-break move. I genuinely never expected to hear this breakup news:
Amanda Seyfried and Justin Long are back to walking red carpets solo.
After more than two years of dating, the Ted 2 beauty and New Girl actor have split. “It happened a few weeks ago,” a source close to the couple reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “He’s really heartbroken.”
Seyfried fell for Long on Instagram in the summer of 2013. “I thought something he said was really funny,” she revealed to Vogue in May. “It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, “F***ing MOOOOOOOOVE.” It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him.”
While Long, 37, declared on the Today show in 2014 that the couple was “in it for the long haul,” another source says their relationship has been quietly unraveling. “They had different schedules and different lives,” explains the source. “They just grew apart.”
As Seyfried also admitted to the fashion mag, “Making movies is two solid months of 12-, 14-hour days. I mean, it can ruin your relationship.”

So they’re going with the official “competing schedules” excuse, which I’m sure is true to a degree as with many actors in entertainment. This is such a bummer of a story, and they dated so quietly that I figured they’d have some low-key wedding we’d hear about after the fact. Now they’re over, and hopefully both will not rebound with some inferior types. Amanda generally has awful taste in men, you know? And I’m sure this breakup is hard on lovely Finn. *sigh*

Amanda Seyfried covers the June issue of Vogue to promote Ted 2, the sequel about an expletive-spewing teddy bear. It’s a weird use for a fashion bible feature, but sure. In the movie, Ted will get married to his human girlfriend, and Mark Wahlberg’s character agrees to father the couple’s child. Amanda plays the family lawyer who is tasked with proving Ted is “human” enough to have custody of a child. Set photos have indicated that Amanda and Mark’s characters hook up, which sounds about right for a Seth McFarlane movie.
In this interview, journo Vicki Woods describes Amanda as “a serious hugger.” Amanda covers a variety of topics, including her social anxiety and how she was embarrassed to watch her drunk appearance on Letterman. She frets over Finn the dog and how she’s hyper aware of his mortality. As an obsessive dog owner, I can identify with that fear. In a significant move, Amanda also discusses her relationship with Justin Long. They’ve been dating since August 2013, and Amanda’s finally giving some dish:
On her Letterman appearance: “It made it fun for me, but then I watched it and was like ‘That is not what I want to promote about myself.’” Soon after, she started seeing a shrink to help get over her debilitating fear. “I have a lot of anxiety that I?ve been struggling with my whole life. So I have been working through it. I?m terrified, but this is exactly what I wanted.”
She worries about Finn: “I just don?t want to leave him anymore. Maybe it?s because I?m subconsciously aware of his mortality. I try not to think about it, but somewhere inside of me, I?m like, He?s going to die way sooner than all the rest of the people I know!”
How she got together with Justin: “I followed him on Instagram, and I thought something he said was really funny. It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, ‘F***ing MOOOOOOOOVE.’ It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him. I really do have my own identity, both inside and outside the relationship, if that makes any sense. It just feels right. It?s also really good to feel OK being alone.”

Amanda is usually very private about her romances, so it’s notable to see her discussing Justin with the media. She dated her own private army of douches for so long, and Justin seems like the nicest guy. I suspect an engagement might be on the horizon. In the interview, Amanda mentions an impending wedding at her house, but she’s talking about her sister’s upcoming ceremony. Amanda will catch the bouquet.

Stepping out for some promotional duties, Amanda Seyfried stopped by Comedy Central Studios in New York City on Tuesday evening (March 17).
The ?Lovelace? lady brought her dog Finn along for the ride as she prepared for her appearance on ?The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,? and even got a canine kiss backstage before her interview.

I can always count on Amanda Seyfried for some good coat pr0n. Amanda’s been pretty low key lately. She’s been filming Ted 2 with Mark Wahlberg and hasn’t promoted anything else lately. Is she still dating Justin Long? Who knows.
Amanda took to Twitter to talk about her career and the pressure for Hollywood actresses to be stick thin. She previously said she’d never lose weight for a role because she’s “too health-conscious.” That makes sense. I worry about actors like Christian Bale and how losing an extreme amount of weight for roles will affect their future health. Amanda goes a step further and says she “almost lost” roles because she was considered too fat. She didn’t really lose the roles though?
Fun fact: I almost lost out on several roles in my career because I was overweight. Wrong, America.

Guys and gigs come and go, but Amanda Seyfried has one constant companion she takes everywhere- her dog Finn.
On Monday (July 7) the ?Lovelace? lady posted a photo of her paddleboarding with the prized pooch, and they couldn?t have looked happier.
Seyfried captioned the shot, "It was surprising, at first, that Finn was so eager to jump aboard. Now, I can't enjoy paddling without him. The same can be said of my life. #finnsite #drfoz."
And it turns out Amanda?s boyfriend Justin Long is also an avid paddleboarder. She previously told Ellen DeGeneres, "What we did every night?my boyfriend, myself and our two friends?we would paddleboard to watch the sunset, and one night we were paddleboarding with some dolphins. But I thought it was a shark and I was like, 'Wait, check the fin!' And then my boyfriend's like, 'I see the blow hole!'"

Gearing up for an outbound flight, Amanda Seyfried arrived at LAX International Airport on Monday afternoon (June 30).
The ?Lovelace? lady showed her affinity for pets with her Best Friends Animal Society t-shirt teamed with skinny jeans and grey Converse All-Star sneakers.
In a recent interview, Amanda chatted about her fianc Justin Long, though it sounds like they may need a little excitement in their lives.
Seyfried told Ellen DeGeneres, ?We don't do much. We walk my dog. And we make these smoothies in the morning they're called 'greenies.' He got me onto that. Super healthy.?
