Here are some photos from last night?s London premiere of Maniac, the Netflix series starring Emma Stone, Jonah Hill and Justin ?Edgy? Theroux. Cary Fukunaga is the executive producer of the series, and he directed many of the first season?s episodes. Fukunaga got a lot of attention a few years back for being hot and woke, and for being the reason why the first season of True Detective was so good. He also dated Michelle Williams for about a year or something? From what I can see, there were reports last year that Fukunaga was dating Margaret Qualley, but I have no idea if that?s still happening, or if he?s single now or what. What I do know is that he and Emma Stone would make a very cute couple.
Unfortunately, I still have questions about whether Emma and Edgy Justin have been secretly hooking up for months. That gossip has quieted down, but there?s nothing really to replace it. Justin isn?t officially dating anyone that we know of, and neither is Emma. I still halfway believe that they?re dealing with each other.
Fashion note: Emma?s ensemble here is Louis Vuitton. The pants are great. They are a perfect and versatile pair of black cigarette pants. The camisole-top is not the best though. It just looks sort of cheap, even though I?m sure it easily costs $1000. My favorite part of her whole look is the ponytail. I love a ponytail on the red carpet.
Emma also did a segment of Billy On the Street. It?s amazing how many people are just NICE when they come face to face with Emma Stone. They don?t get hysterical, they don?t freak out and they don?t insult her.

With Valentine?s Day rapidly approaching, it?s nice to write about couples who are (seemingly) happy and today, that couple is Emma Stone and Dave McCary.
Back in October, word got out that the 29-year-old actress was dating the 32-year-old SNL writer and director. In addition to his SNL duties, Dave also directed the quirky, Lonely Planet-produced movie Brigsby Bear, starring SNL?s Kyle Mooney. The two met when Emma was hosting the show back in 2016.
This past weekend, Emma joined Dave backstage at SNL and watched the episode, hosted by Natalie Portman. Afterwards, the couple were spotted at the post-show party at The Wayfarer in the Big Apple, where they partied until 4am. I know the show doesn?t end until 1am, but that?s impressive. I?m happy if I can make it to midnight on a Saturday night anymore. Emma was fun and goofy on her SNL appearances and I can only imagine Dave has an offbeat sense of humor, so I?m sure they make a good couple. She?s cute, he?s cute, so if they?re happy, good for them.
She may be lucky in love, but Emma may have recently made a follicle faux pas. Like a lot of women, both famous and not famous, Emma has sported many different hairstyles, cuts and colors. Last week, she and her makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin, decided to give perms a go.
Since Emma doesn?t indulge in social media, Rachel posted a photo of the two in foam rollers and smocks, stating, ?We have a permanent bond! Some friends get tattoos, well we get perms! We?re here to tell you that they are BACK and they?re not your grandmas perm!? As someone who was on the receiving end of many a terrible perm, allI have to say about bring this hair abomination back is Dear God, no.

For movie stars, I can see the appeal of dating someone who works at Saturday Night Live. SNL people are celebrities but not crazy-famous. They?re well-connected but not the most ?important? people in the room. They?re probably pretty funny too. Ben Affleck is dating a talent booker at SNL. Scarlett Johansson is dating Colin Jost, an on-air talent and writer on SNL. And now Emma Stone has an SNL boyfriend as well!
Emma Stone has a new man in her life: She?s dating ?SNL? writer and segment director Dave McCary, as exclusively revealed on ?Page Six TV.? McCary?s just the latest ?SNL? staffer to date a Hollywood star to appear on the show. Ben Affleck?s dating show producer Lindsay Shookus, and ?Weekend Update? anchor Colin Jost is seeing Scarlett Johansson after she hosted the show and later made a cameo as Ivanka Trump. Page Six exclusively revealed they were caught kissing at an ?SNL? afterparty in May after she guest-starred on the show.
Stone ? who stars as Billie Jean King in ?Battle of the Sexes? ? hosted the NBC comedy sketch show last December, but she also appeared as a surprise guest this month for its season premiere when her ?La La Land? co-star Ryan Gosling hosted. She then attended the afterparty at hotspot Tao. McCary?s worked at ?SNL? since 2014.
The 32-year-old also directed this year?s quirky indie movie, ?Brigsby Bear,? starring ?SNL? comic Kyle Mooney, who?s also a childhood pal. McCary and Stone were spotted together at the movie?s premiere in June. Stone, 28, split in 2015 from her boyfriend Andrew Garfield, with whom she starred in ?The Amazing Spider-Man? in 2012. There was speculation over the summer that they were rekindling their romance, but the purported fling seemingly fizzled.

It?s worth noting that Emma Stone lives full-time in New York, not LA. Emma has an apartment in New York, but she?s not really down with, like, New York nightlife. She?s not falling out of New York Ubers at 3 am, is what I?m saying. She probably doesn?t meet a lot of interesting single guys her age, so I sort of understand how she could have met Dave McCary and something pinged. Also: man, does he seem like her ?type,? right? She likes her men to look a little bit nerdy and a little bit intense. A hipster with ambition, that seems like her type. (She also seems to go for guys with dark hair and dark eyes.)

I really loathe two labels right now: Dior and Louis Vuitton. Nicolas Ghesquiere has been in charge of Vuitton for several years now, and personally, I think his creative ?well? is dry. I remember when he was with Balenciaga and the amazing things he did there for YEARS. It?s almost like he used up all of his brilliance and creativity back then. With LV, it?s like he?s just going through the motions, churning out increasingly fug and increasingly stupid looks. I even hate his choices for muses, an endless parade of wispy child-women, dressed up in bibs and booties and structured babydoll dresses. Alicia Vikander and Michelle Williams – both contracted with LV – are two of the worst examples of this.
Well, now Emma Stone is the new wispy child-woman for Louis Vuitton. It?s consistent, at least. I?m not trying to be mean at all – I actually like Emma Stone and I think she?s very talented and cool. But she fits the profile and the profile isn?t great or aspirational for grown-ass women. Emma wore Louis Vuitton to Saturday?s premiere of Battle of the Sexes at the BFI London Film Festival. This coincided with the formal announcement of Emma becoming the latest ?face? of LV:
Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone has landed a deal worth up to $10 million to become the face of LVMH brand Louis Vuitton. Page Six TV exclusively reveals that the ?La La Land? star has been in talks with the luxury brand for nearly a year, and has just agreed to sign on for two years. The deal will include glossy TV and print ads worldwide, and the star will wear their high-end gowns on the red carpet.
A source told us, ?LVMH has been pursuing Emma for nearly a year, she was initially reluctant, but now she has agreed to be the face of the brand for two years for a figure between $6 and $10 million.? An announcement is expected soon.
Interestingly, the French fashion house had previously been chasing Stone?s ?La La Land? co-star Ryan Gosling for three years, but, ?Ryan repeatedly turned Louis Vuitton down because he doesn?t do endorsement deals.?

Well, at least the girl?s getting paid. Good for her. What?s not so great is that Emma will be wearing Louis Vuitton throughout the awards season and it?s going to get depressing. That would be reason enough for any self-respecting fashionista to avoid these kinds of contracts – unless the contract is with someone great like Tom Ford, why would you want to limit your red carpet looks so narrowly?

Here are some photos from Saturday night?s premiere of Battle of the Sexes, the true story of the exhibition match/feminist sports event between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. I will never NOT think that it?s odd to have a big premiere on a Saturday night, but what do I know? Enjoy the photos! Emma Stone was obviously the star of the premiere, and she wore an odd Louis Vuitton number which I don?t really care for. I would be interested in seeing the shirtdress without the jacket, but I get that the whole thing is probably a straight-off-the-runway look. In general, I don?t completely hate the actual clothes. But I?m shocked by the terrible shade of blonde that Emma is going with these days. It?s standard at this point to say that I miss her as a redhead, but honestly: if she?s going to be a blonde, can she go a bit darker? Now all that being said, even though Emma looks so washed out, it?s cool that she?s owning her paleness. It would be so much worse if she was orange.
I?m also including photos of Emma with her costar Steve Carell (who plays Bobby Riggs) as well as Sarah Silverman and Andrea Riseborough. Billie Jean was there too, looking amazing. Billie was obviously a consultant on the film, and she approved of Emma?s casting. Some current tennis players also came out for the premiere, including? Maria Sharapova. Ugh. If Serena Williams didn?t just give birth, I?m sure she would have gone to the premiere. Serena and Billie are tight in real life.
As for Emma and her chance at another Oscar or Oscar nomination for this role? critics love the film and they love Emma?s performance. I think Emma will be nominated for this but she won?t win, mostly because the Academy gave her the Oscar for stupid La La Land. I tend to think we?re preconditioned to ?like? the gown worn by the Best Actress winner, or at the very least, we?re preconditioned to give the gown the benefit of the doubt. Looking back on it, Sandra Bullock?s Oscar gown was hideous the year that she won, but very few people said it at the time. I feel like that?s going to happen with Emma Stone?s Givenchy gown. It was muted gold, it was fussy, and it resembled a fringed lamp at an old bordello.

Emma Stone has won the Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal of struggling actress Mia in the sleeper hit musical La La Land. Her win follows Damien Chazelle’s Academy Award for best director for La La Land and the movie’s win for Original Score and for Original Song. This is Emma’s first win and second nomination. She was previously nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Birdman. Emma met writer/director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash) in 2014 when she was doing Cabaret on Broadway and he pitched her the project. She loved musicals as a child and was sold on his enthusiasm. She took the part and the rest is Hollywood history, especially now that she’s won her industry’s highest honor. I wish it was for a meatier role, but it is what it is and Hollywood loves films about their industry.
During her acceptance speech Emma breathlessly thanked the Academy and the other nominees. She then thanked her parents and family and some of the people on her team. Then she said “a moment like this is a huge confluence of luck and opportunity” and thanked Damien Chazelle “for the opportunity to be part of a project that was so special and once in a lifetime.”
She also gave a shout out to Ryan Gosling and told him “thank you for making me laugh and for always raising the bar and for being the greatest partner on this crazy adventure.” She also thanked the crew and promised to find them all and thank them and to hug all her friends “when the feeling re-enters my body.” Emma admitted she still had “a lot of growing and learning and work to do” and said that “this guy [the Oscar] is a really beautiful symbol to continue on that journey.”
Congratulations to Emma for her win.

Here are some photos of Emma Stone at last night?s BAFTAs. Her dress is Chanel. At first I was like, ?Oh, she did a tea-length Chanel dress, that?s sort of interesting.? Then it became, ?WAIT ARE THOSE PANTS?? This isn?t just a Chanel dress. It has matching skinny Capri pants underneath the dress. Is this the new trend? Like, in the ?90s, girls wore dresses over jeans all the time. The slipdress-over-jeans thing was very popular. But a high-fashion version of it for Chanel, with Capri pants and a tea-length dress? I don?t know, guys. I think my issue is with both of the lengths together. Like, either the pants should be longer or the dress should be shorter, right? Incidentally, Emma won Best Actress at the BAFTAs. She?s now pretty much a sure thing for an Oscar. Also: La La Land won Best Film, because UGH.
Considering all of the style f–kery that Nicole Kidman has been showcasing this awards season, this Armani look was a sweet relief. Is it the most beautiful thing she?s ever worn? No. But it?s okay. I like her in something streamlined and I like that she styled it with simple hair.
While I did not (and do not) believe that Emily Blunt should have been nominated for a BAFTA for The Girl on the Train (the nom should have gone to Ruth Negga), I have to admit? Emily?s gown was one of my favorites at the BAFTAs. She wore McQueen and it?s stunning.
Felicity Jones in Dior. Felicity?s style was all over the place during the Rogue One promotional tour and I?ve come to the conclusion that she really doesn?t care about fashion. I think she just wears whatever her stylist gives her, or whatever is available. This dress feels like it was rejected by like five women before it got to Felicity, who wore it with a ?meh, I guess it?s okay? attitude. That?s how I feel about it too. Also: bonus Dev Patel, who won Best Supporting Actor!

Emma Stone surprised me at the SAG Awards last night. It?s not that I hate Emma?s style, or I think she?s completely hopeless sartorially. I just haven?t been digging her fashion choices the past few years, and I think she?s goes for cute/twee when she should be going for clean, mature and sophisticated. So I was surprised that she chose this rather sexy Alexander McQueen gown with the half-lingerie look. I would have hated this if the entire dress was lingerie, and I would have hated it if the whole dress was embroidered velvet. But mix the two together and? I think I like this? Is that weird? It?s just such a surprising choice for her. Anyway, obviously Emma won the SAG for Best Actress? which means that Natalie Portman probably has little-to-no chance. Yay? Even though Emma was the worst part of La La Land, if it means Portman doesn?t get another Oscar, I think I?m Team Emma.
Kerry Washington wore Roberto Cavalli. I don?t hate or love this. It?s flattering and it?s okay. Kerry elevates a mediocre dress with her superb styling though – hair, makeup, jewelry, everything looks incredible. She?s just glowing.
Emily Blunt also wore Roberto Cavalli. This was a lot cuter in motion, on the carpet. You could see the detailing and it was pretty. But in photos, it doesn?t look that great. Everything looks like it?s the same color – the nude shade is too fleshy, and her hair is literally blending into the dress.

I come away from the Golden Globes understanding that in Hollywood, La La Land is a much bigger deal than I realized. I thought Emma Stone would be a major contender for the actress awards, of course. But I didn?t realize that there was so much love for a film which I think looks rather? twee, cringe-y, privileged and silly? It?s like #WhitePeopleProblems: The Movie. That being said, it?s hard to be mad at Emma Stone. I wasn?t even crazy about Emma?s Valentino dress, but I?m not even mad about it. It was a pretty, frothy, star-covered pale dress. It fit her beautifully and it moved well, although it looks really flat in photos. She seemed comfortable and happy with it. *shrug*
Here?s Anna Chlumsky in Roland Mouret. I like Anna, I think she?s crazy talented and beautiful, but my God, she cannot find a flattering dress to save her damn life. This is so bad.
Speaking of WTFery, Anna Kendrick in Vionnet. She looked? terrible. Why does this dress exist? Why did she choose it???
While Laura Dern isn?t one of my favorite people, she wore one of my favorite low-key dresses at the Globes. I doubt she?s going to be headlining any best-dressed lists today, but this Burberry was gorgeous, appropriate, well-tailored and flattering. Homerun for Dern!
