| Emma Stone in star-covered Valentino at the Golden Globes: twee or sweet? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I come away from the Golden Globes understanding that in Hollywood, La La Land is a much bigger deal than I realized. I thought Emma Stone would be a major contender for the actress awards, of course. But I didn?t realize that there was so much love for a film which I think looks rather? twee, cringe-y, privileged and silly? It?s like #WhitePeopleProblems: The Movie. That being said, it?s hard to be mad at Emma Stone. I wasn?t even crazy about Emma?s Valentino dress, but I?m not even mad about it. It was a pretty, frothy, star-covered pale dress. It fit her beautifully and it moved well, although it looks really flat in photos. She seemed comfortable and happy with it. *shrug*
Here?s Anna Chlumsky in Roland Mouret. I like Anna, I think she?s crazy talented and beautiful, but my God, she cannot find a flattering dress to save her damn life. This is so bad.
Speaking of WTFery, Anna Kendrick in Vionnet. She looked? terrible. Why does this dress exist? Why did she choose it???
While Laura Dern isn?t one of my favorite people, she wore one of my favorite low-key dresses at the Globes. I doubt she?s going to be headlining any best-dressed lists today, but this Burberry was gorgeous, appropriate, well-tailored and flattering. Homerun for Dern!

| Emma Stone in Roland Mouret at Critics' Choice: lovely or unflattering' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

La La Land didn?t sweep the Critics Choice Awards, but the film was definitely the favorite coming into and leaving the awards. La La Land picked up Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and more. But the actors lost out ? both Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were nominated and they lost. Still, I think Emma is going into the awards season as a definite favorite. Emma wore this Roland Mouret dress which I?m not really crazy about. I like Mouret?s designs for the most part, and I really just want to force this dress back onto the drawing board. Like, the idea of it is fine, but the execution is? meh. Maybe it?s the V-pattern of the skirt?
I love that Evan Rachel Wood knows how to work a smart suit. And this Altuzarra suit is SO SMART. It?s got a narrow fit, the pants are amazing, and the belt is an interesting touch. She looks fantastic. Evan won Best Actress in a Drama for Westworld too ? good for her.
Constance Wu (nominated for Fresh Off the Boat) wore Johanna Oritz. I saw her on the pre-show and the dress looked a lot cuter in motion. In this photo, it looks sort of cheap though.
Allison Williams?s Balmain dress is like a fug enigma. Like, I sort of see what she was going for ? something somewhat mod, something different, something colorful ? but the result on her body was pretty unflattering. The optical illusion of the dress is that Balmain made a tall, slender woman look thick-waisted and short-necked.
Mandy Moore is on the hit show This Is Us, so her career has new life, and she?s probably going to be all over the awards shows this season. I?m not mad about it ? while I once found her style to be too twee and cutesy, she?s ?grown up? nowadays, and so she?s going for a sexier look. She wore this slinky Solace London dress which seems like a perfect (albeit slightly basic) gown for this event. Simple, clean lines, nice color.

| Emma Stone vs. Ruth Negga: who wins the premiere-fashion face-off? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Two of this year?s potential Best Actresses had their premieres last night. And since there aren?t many stories to go along with Emma Stone and Ruth Negga, I thought I might as well combine these photos. Emma Stone attended the LA premiere of La La Land, a sweet little musical which is getting rave reviews all over the place. Emma is considered a frontrunner in the Oscar race, although her costar Ryan Gosling isn?t getting much awards buzz.
For the LA premiere, Emma chose this somewhat uneventful Prada dress. Something nice: it?s a beautiful color. Something not-nice: I don?t know, I?m just not feeling this. It?s a cute dress for a holiday party, but the thing about Emma Stone is that one of the big reasons why people are excited for her Oscar campaign is that she usually has interesting fashion. Like, we need a certain number of fashion girls attending the awards shows or else it gets really boring. Emma better deliver! PS? I do love her shoe choice here though.
As for Ruth Negga, she will likely get nominated for some big awards for her performance in Loving. Much like my feelings about Emma, I have high hopes that Ruth has a great stylist and that she?s going to rock all of the red carpets. Thus far, I?ve found her style somewhat underwhelming. I get the feeling that she likes dressing up and having fun with it, but? more drama, please! This Valentino look isn?t doing anything for me. She?s been wearing a lot of Valentino this fall though, so maybe she has some connection to the fashion house.

| Emma Stone in Chanel at TIFF 'La La Land' premiere: lovely or twee' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos from last night?s TIFF premiere of La La Land, the musical starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. Here?s something that really happened: Emma won the Best Actress prize at the Venice Film Festival a few days ago. She wasn?t on hand to gather her prize in person, because she?s been hustling La La Land at TIFF. Emma?s win in Venice does improve her chances for Oscar buzz and a possible Oscar campaign too. So, Emma came into Toronto riding high: people love/like the movie and love her performance in particular. Plus, people love Emma paired with Ryan Gosling for some reason. Like, Stone-Gosling is almost as good as McAdams-Gosling, maybe?
For the TIFF premiere, Emma wore this yellow Chanel dress and a headband. It?s a little bit theme-y, considering the twee nature of the film. Only slender women like Emma can really wear dresses with all of that extra fabric/embroidery around their hips and thighs. If I wore that, you would think that my thighs were coming for your children.
Ryan and Emma also gushed about each other on the carpet and when they were speaking ahead of the premiere. Gosling joked (in front of the Canadian crowd) that ?I like working with Emma because I think she’s secretly Canadian. That’s why we get along so well. She’s wildly apologetic for no reason at all.” There IS something vaguely Canadian about Emma Stone, it?s true. We should probably ask for her birth certificate. No, of course not! Emma Stone is ours, Canadian peeps. But you can have Ted Cruz.

| Emma Stone in Versace & Giambattista Valli in Venice: gorgeous or twee? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Emma Stone at the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday. I?m including photos of Emma at the photocall and premiere for La La Land. The premiere dress is the sparkly silver Atelier Versace, and the photocall dress is the green and Pink Giambattista Valli. The photocall pics came out early in the day on Wednesday, and I made the choice not to post them immediately because I thought the Valli dress was so unimpressive. While I?m always happy to see Emma doing the film festival circuit, that dress in particular did nothing for me. But the Versace? I love it. It?s so dramatic, especially for Emma (who doesn?t always do ?drama!?).
Until I sat down to write this post, I had not watched the trailer for La La Land, the film starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, which premiered last night in Venice. I honestly hadn?t paid attention to what the film was about, I only knew it involved Gosling and Stone. Then I heard that it involved singing and I was like, ?Nah, pass.? So I watched the trailer and?I still feel that way.
Don?t get me wrong, Emma and Ryan are beautiful and they seem to have so much chemistry together. But I?m probably still going to give this one a pass. Is it because I?m cynical? Is it because seeing two beautiful young people fall in love whilst singing doesn?t do much for me? Perhaps I am cynical. And Emma says that younger people (not me, then) should stop falling into the Cynicism Trap. Emma told the Daily Beast:
?What I would hope young people would take away from it is, I don?t know if you remember when Conan O?Brien left his show? but he made a speech at the end of it, and he said ?to let go of cynicism? and that ?cynicism was the ugliest quality? to him. And I think something about Damien [Chazelle, the director] and what Damien created, and the hopefulness and the joy and the beauty of this medium but also this story? this movie is in no way cynical. It?s about dreaming, and hoping, and working toward something to achieve something, and I think young people have fallen into a lot of cynicism, and making fun of things, and pointing out the flaws in everything, and this movie is anything but that. So it?s a huge joy to be a part of it and show it to young people. This is what I hope young people will do?work hard to achieve their dreams and hope, instead of be cynical.?
[From The Daily Beast]
Sure. I understand that, the plea for less negativity, less judgment, less cynicism, less jaded hopelessness. The thing that always happens with me is that I think I?m so jaded and over it, then a commercial will make me cry, or I?m genuinely moved by some inspirational news story. Or I?ll meet someone truly negative, and suddenly I become the most positive person ever (?I disagree, everything is awesome!?). But will all of that help me enjoy a movie that looks hella twee?

Here is Emma Stone leaving her local gym session in West Hollywood yesterday. The young actress looked a little annoyed to see the awaiting photogs as she jumped into her vehicle.
Emma has been hitting the gym quite frequently these past few weeks to prepare for her upcoming role in Battle Of The Sexes. In this new film, Emma will be playing the role of tennis legend Billie Jean King as she takes on Bobby Riggs in the match of the century.

Here is Emma Stone spending her Saturday running errands around Malibu, first hitting the gym before popping by the gas station to fill up her Audi SUV.
She looked amazing in her tight blue leggings which showed off her toned shape and a little but more than that thanks to their slightly sheer fabric across her derriere.
Ok Im obsessing, been a while since I found an ass this nice… but I did a little digging, and I found a bunch of these style of images…
