Reports recently surfaced that Jennifer Love Hewitt called off her Spring 2009 wedding to Ross McCall because she was insecure about her body and their relationship. She would reportedly call him onto the set of her show Ghost Whisperer and demand that he tell her he loved her. And as we reported yesterday, Ross McCall has denied the breakup rumors.
Now Jennifer’s ex boyfriend of two years, LFO’s frontman Rich Cronin, is speaking out about their relationship. On Howard Stern, he revealed that Jennifer cheated on him and that it was he who played the “girl” in their relationship.
During their two-year long relationship, however, Cronin revealed that she cheated on him and even used the same line on other guys — including Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees.
“Jeff goes, ‘Hey, you and me have something in common… Jennifer Love Hewitt,”" recalled Cronin, who said Timmons received the same Cartier ring. “I had always asked her about that. ‘Did you ever get with this guy?’ [And she was like,] ‘No, no, no.’ So when that happened, I was lost. This was two years ago. It was rough, man.”
Cronin — who grew to fame in the late ’90s thanks to his boy band’s hit, “Summer Girls” — first met Hewitt at the Blockbuster Awards more than eight years ago.
“We had the same publicist, so I started to talk to her and I couldn?t believe it — she kept talking to me and talking to me,” he said. “She was actually interested. Later on that night, she gave me her number. I was floored.
“I was so anxious about calling her. I actually got a notebook and wrote down all these subjects, like, ‘Okay, so when there is a quiet point, I?ll talk about this.’ I actually called her up and she answered the phone and we talked for like two hours…”
“She was in New York doing a movie, and I get a phone call from someone at my record company. They go, ‘Rich, get Us Weekly. It just came out,” Cronin said. “[I'm thinking] maybe there is something cool about me.
“No, it was a f–cking thing about Jennifer Love Hewitt in New York City… with seven guys.”
Hewitt dumped Cronin shortly after.
“I was on the bed having a panic attack, so I called her up and was like, ‘Do you have something to say to me?’ I was the girl in this relationship.
“And she goes, ‘Listen, don?t you f–king call me up like this when I am at work. If you believe that bulls–t, shame on you.’ She hung up.”
Hewittt — who recently called off her wedding with fiance Ross McCall (read the story in the
current issue of Us Weekly, on stands now) — called Cronin three days later to end it.
“She goes, “I am out of this relationship. Goodbye, I have to go do The Tonight Show’ and hung up the phone,” he said. “And that was it.”
Still, when Stern asked if he would have married her, Cronin said, “In a second.
“But whatever, she is a great girl. She is just out there doing her thing.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt is getting a lot of flak recently over her relationships. First she’s labeled as a clingy, insecure finace, and then she’s accused of cheating on her ex. What’s the real story here? If Cronin cared about Jennifer at all, he wouldn’t be revealing intimate details of their relationship while she’s dealing with a public possible-breakup. This seems more like a case of Rich Cronin trying to become relevant again. The latest thing he’s done, according to his homepage, is release an album in May 2008. Post-LFO fame has not treated him well.
We’ll see if her Love Hewitt’s engagement, which her finance claims is still on, lasts. They’ve postponed the wedding several times already.

We were all pretty shocked when Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fianc Ross McCall broke off their relationship. And it sounds like it was a case of too much drama.
According to Us magazine, the “Ghost Whisperer” actress was a bit too clingy for the Scottish stud, which put a real strain on their relationship.

Two weeks ago news hit the stands that Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boyfriend Ross McCall had ended their engagement. Two weeks after the fact Ross McCall has confirmed that he and Jennifer are still together.
However, McCall is adamant that he’s working on a reunion with the actress, despite Love Hewitt having stepped out without her engagement ring.
In a statement UsWeekly, he says: “We are working it out. We are both still wearing our rings.”
News of the broken engagement came three months after Love Hewitt was snapped sobbing as he packed luggage into the back of a vehicle outside her home, sparking initial reports their romance was in trouble.

You don’t sound very self assured there Ross. What exactly are you working out? Who gets to keep the espresso machine? This sounds like your relationship is definitely on hiatus, if not over, and you’re just working out your carefully worded statement. I expect to read that their “relationship is over, but we still respect and care for each other’ very soon.
It’s a shame Ross didn’t make his denial before Life & Style ran their nasty cover story, calling Jennifer Love Hewitt clingy, insecure and fat.
Jennifer and Ross got engaged in November 2007, intending to marry mid-summer 2008. Their wedding was delayed in August and a new date wasn’t set.

Lainey Gossip has the best write-up about the cover story of this week?s issue of US Weekly. Jennifer Love Hewitt is on it, and the headline is ?Why She Called Off Her Wedding? and it?s full of really juicy gossip. Apparently the hatchets are out for Jennifer Love Hewitt over at US, and they?ve got details from unnamed ?sources? that sound like the entire crew of Hewitt?s Ghost Whisperer television show. Hewitt gets called out for being clingy and insecure, and for having a lot weight issues.
For too long now, US Weekly has been slapping D List celebrities on its cover with reports written from inside Lauren Conrad?s ass. It?s one thing to feature a nobody. It?s another to sugarcoat the story about the nobody with The Hills scripted nonsense.
Which is what makes this week?s Us Weekly so amazing.

So Jennifer Love Hewitt is no longer engaged. Why?
According to the magazine, she was the one who broke it off. Because she?s so f-cked up. Apparently JLH would call Ross McCall several times during the day when he couldn?t accompany her on the set of Ghost Whisperer and demand that he tell her he missed her. And couldn?t wait to be with her. ?I want to hear you say you love?. On the rare occasion when he?d beg her to stop smothering him, she?d freak out and wail ? something about trust issues lingering from her parents? divorce.
Then there?s the whole weight issue. You?ll recall she was photographed on the beach looking like a normal sized person last year but was ridiculed in the tabloids. At the time, she claimed she was proud of her body, but then went on to lose 20 pounds anyway. Supposedly the costume department on her show is on high alert all the time for when her clothes don?t fit. She keeps insisting she?s a 2 when in reality she?s closer to a 6. And when she tries on a 2 that is too tight, she demands that another 2 or a 4 be found in its place.
In other words, Janice Min is calling Jennifer Love Hewitt insecure, clingy, and? not thin.
It?s war.
And there?s more. New issue of Us Weekly is on newsstands now. And John Mayer did not write ?Wonderland? about her body.

The whole thing with Hewitt?s weight is unnecessarily nasty. So the girl diets and crashes, diets and crashes. Lots of women do, and so what if the costume department has a fit? Let them. But Hewitt might have brought some of the body-criticism on herself by pushing such an unnecessary lie that she?s ?a size two?. I don?t really care what size she is or was, but I found it funny that she wanted to convince everyone that she was a dress size she obviously wasn?t.
The whole ?insecure and clingy? part is what I found really interesting. I always suspected something like that of her. I based my suspicions mainly on how bored and contemptuous Ross McCall always looked on the red carpet - he was the very definition of ?phoning it in? with that relationship, so it makes sense that he was exhausted dealing with Hewitt?s self-perpetuating drama.

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt was granted a permanent restraining order yesterday against a 62-year-old man accused of stalking her over the last year. Star Magazine says
Papers filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court show Love asked for protection against David Nolte, a Studio City, Calif. man whom she alleges has sent her “over 120 threatening and disturbing letters” in addition to following her.
Unfortunately, the courts offer to provide for additional restraining orders against stalkers “Ronald McDonald,” “Captain D” and “Colonel Sanders” were vehemently rejected by Love-Hewitt’s camp.

Jennifer Love Hewitt has been granted a restraining order against a 62-year-old man who has been stalking her. Love Hewitt recently ended her engagement to Scottish actor Ross McCall, and may be feeling more vulnerable now that she doesn’t have someone with her at all times.
Court records show a judge in Burbank, California on Monday granted Hewitt’s request for a three-year restraining order against David Nolte. The actress stated in a court petition that Nolte recently sold his home in Colorado and moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Hewitt.
Documents also include dozens of letters allegedly sent by Nolte, describing violent and sexual fantasies about Hewitt.
The actress wrote that she became more fearful of Nolte after he appeared at her mother’s house in late December. Court records do not indicate whether Nolte has an attorney.

When I worked the graveyard shift at a multinational burger joint, there was a guy who kept coming in and asking for me (because I would hide out in the back whenever he came in). He was always pleasant and chatty enough, but would push to know personal information, and would get angry if I didn?t share because he felt somehow that I owed it to him. While this isn?t exactly stalking, it may feel pretty similar. Except while my stalker just made me feel intimidated and uncomfortable, Jennifer?s was more of the terrifying variety. Hopefully she’ll get some protection from this guy and can have a little peace of mind.
