Stepping out to pay a visit to her mother, Jennifer Love Hewitt was spotted heading back to her apartment on Wednesday (August 25).
The ?Ghost Whisperer? actress looked darling in jeans and a striped button-up as she carried a box from her mom who lives across the street in Los Angeles, CA.
Just yesterday, Love Hewitt headed to a gym in Studio City to fit a workout session in her busy schedule.
On the career front for Jen comes a new role in a CBS movie called ?The Lost Valentine? which will co-star Betty White and is expected to be released early 2011.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is dating a new man. According to Us Weekly, 31-year-old Hewitt is seeing 27-year-old actor/director Alex Beh.
The two were seen sharing a romantic dinner at Katsuya in L.A.’s Encino.

Ever heard the expression “mutton dressed as lamb?” Case in point: Jennifer Love Hewitt as a schoolgirl on Law & Order: SVU. The Daily Mail says:
At 31, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s schooldays are far behind her.
But in her checked school skirt, white blouse and long socks, the youthful actress [tried to] pass for a girl half her age… on the New York set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The attempt to turn back the clock was part of her role as a rape survivor who is too terrified to leave the house.
Let’s see… first there was “Ghost Whisperer,” and then that crappy Lifetime movie where she played a whore, and now a bit part as a schoolgirl on Law & Order: SVU. I think it might actually be her career that got raped here.

The only conclusion that I can draw is that the Law & Order: SVU casting director is a crackhead. That is literally the only explanation for the line of crazy, horrible casting decisions that Law & Order: SVU has faced in the past few years, notably last year, when Sharon Stone almost single-handedly destroyed my beloved series. I hated her character so much, I longed for Christine Lahti?s drunken paleo-feminist ADA to show up again. And Lahti sucked too! Ugh. Anyway, Jennifer Love Hewitt got a job! She?s going to guest star on SVU on one of their first episodes of the new season. I guess she?s playing a rape victim?
Jennifer Love Hewitt is best known for her girl next door looks. But she made a startlingly transformation as she appeared battered and bruised to play a woman who has suffered a terrifying rape attack.
With her face scrubbed clean of make-up, clothes ripped and distressed, the only embellishment was the fake blood she had been daubed with.
The 31-year-old Ghost Whisperer actress is appearing as a guest star on show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. And in between takes she was seen relaxing with the show’s star, actress Mariska Hargitay , 46, who plays Detective Olivia Benson.
Love Hewitt is playing a woman named Vicki who has been raped multiple times and is afraid to leave her house.
The show’s executive producer Neal Baer said, ‘One of the reasons we wanted to do this episode is because it addresses Mariska Hargitay?s passion for rape kits, which helps gather evidence to convict the rapists.’
Hargitay co-founded the Joyful Heart Foundation, a charity that supports women and children who are victims of sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence.

I mean, I love Det. Benson and everything, but do we really have to describe it as a ?passion? for rape kits? Aren?t rape kits just sort of a necessity and something you should do in a horrible situation? That?s like saying someone has a ?passion? for enemas.
I also find this somewhat funny because Jennifer Love has been hustling ever since The Ghost Whisperer got cancelled. She?s been everywhere the past few months, setting up paparazzi ?candids? and giving interview after interview about how confident she is, etc. All for the hustle. And this is what all that hustling gets? A guest shot on SVU? Oh, J. Love.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is probably no longer dating Jenny McCarthy’s no good ex, who was the last guy she was linked with after her split with Jamie “I’ll call you pear ass” Kennedy. According to US Weekly, she’s with a new actor/director named Alex Beh, and he’s 27.

“She’s so into him,” a pal tells Us of the actress, 31, who split from her Ghost Whisperer costar Jamie Kennedy, 40, in March after a year of dating.
“It’s relatively new,” adds the source of the pair, who enjoyed a romantic date at Katsuya in L.A.’s Encino July 18. “But they’re really cute together. They were holding hands the whole night!”
Hewitt has dated Carson Daly, John Mayer and Jenny McCarthy’s ex-hubby, John Asher, and was engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall, 34, in 2007.

I was going to complain that she took the guy to Katsuya, a paparazzi hotspot, but there are several Katsuya branches and they went to one in Encino so it’s not like she intended to be seen. Still, I wouldn’t put it past her. Kaiser and I had a little back and forth this morning about our respective opinions on J. Love. She jokes that I love Hewitt but I just find her likable and less annoying than other celebrities in that kind of harmless “do-nothing get a lot of press” category, like Jessica Simpson. However, my opinion of her was changed when Kaiser pointed out that Hewitt is out getting herself papped all over the place lately.
I think that Hewitt’s intentions are good but that she’s going to sabotage this relationship if she goes public with it. Maybe it doesn’t matter and this guy would love the publicity, though. It’s not like we’ve heard of him before. I’m sure we can look forward to a whole barrage of senseless advice from Hewitt about how she’s finally found a good man because she’s “learned to love herself.” She is working on yet another self-help book, after all. That’s like Britney Spears putting out hair care products.
