Here are some photos of Blake Lively at the afterparty for The Age of Adeline premiere. Yes, Blake changed out of her sad showgirl look for the afterparty. But I?m not sure that this full-length sheer-with-stars bodysuit was the correct ?second look.? I mean? even Blake knows that she can?t really sell this. It?s a terrible styling choice and it doesn?t even look like it?s party-appropriate. Did she walk around the party wearing that big coat so she wouldn?t be flashing her bits and pieces? Oh, and this look is Monique Lhuillier, just like Blake?s red showgirl premiere look. Maybe THAT is the problem. No more Lhuillier for Blake.
Meanwhile, I have some bits and bobs of Blake info/quotes/interviews for you today. The Age of Adeline comes out on Friday, so Blake is going to be saturating the media this week. While at the premiere on Sunday, Blake tried to play it like her three-year absence from film was all her doing, because she?s so choosy. She told Variety: ?I look for a movie that I can?t not do.? Variety notes that Blake was ?in the running? for Silver Linings Playbook, the part that won Jennifer Lawrence an Oscar (LOL, never stop hustling, Blake). The director of Adeline, Toland Krieger, described Blake to Variety, saying: ?She?s a bit of an old soul herself. She?d rather be baking on a Friday night than out partying. She?s a statuesque timeless beauty a la Veronica Lake.? A statuesque timeless beauty? Nope. Don?t get me wrong, I think Blake is pretty/sexy. Her prettiness is very accessible, like she?s ?the pretty girl? in your college dorm.
What else? Blake has been talking about motherhood a lot and how much she loves everything about her baby. Of course. She told You Magazine:
?Being a parent is both exhausting and all-consuming but it is the greatest gift in the world. I never feel as though I am giving up anything being a young mother – there’s no sacrifice. I feel like I’ve won the lottery. The only thing I am giving up is sleep. Whenever I’m away from the baby, even for a few hours, I miss her. Not sleeping through the night is the one thing you dread leading up to giving birth. But the thing you’re not told is that you miss your baby, or at least I do. Even when I wake up in the middle of the night and I’m tired, I see her and feel glad. I’m already mourning her going off to college and getting married!”

Blake also told the magazine that they don?t have a nanny or night nurse, but her parents have been staying and ?they do the job of 30 nannies, so we are very lucky.? Sure, I believe that. Much like Duchess Kate, I suspect Blake is very, very close to her family.

Blake Lively finally got her big premiere for The Age of Adeline. She?s been shilling this movie for weeks (if not months). And I really don?t think it?s going to do well or launch Blake into super-stardom, but maybe someone out there will buy it. But the point is that Blake got to put on the biggest, frilliest, most look-at-me dress she could find and shockingly, the dress was not Marchesa. This is Monique Lhuillier, the designer famous for making gowns look like lingerie.
Thoughts? I don?t mind the red and I don?t hate the cut from the waist up. But I hate pretty much everything else about this dress. I hate the frills, the feathers and the design of the bodice. Ugh, she looks like a modest showgirl! And I guess that?s Blake deal ? she likes a showgirl look. I?ll give her some credit ? the fit is really great and if I didn?t know better, I would say it doesn?t even look like she gave birth just a few months ago. As for her sweet baby James, E! News says Ryan Reynolds stayed home last night to watch the baby.
And in case you?re wondering about the hot piece posing with Blake, that?s Dutch actor Michiel Huisman. You might know him as the second Daario in Game of Thrones. He replaced the first Daario, who looked like Fabio if Fabio was a serial killer. I actually prefer Huisman on GoT, although I?m worried about his career long-term if he?s the third-tier love interest in a Blake Lively movie. Still, hot man is hot.

Blake Lively has a feature in the new issue of O Magazine, likely as some early promotion for her first film role in years, in The Age of Adeline. Have you seen the trailers for The Age of Adeline? I?m not impressed. But the costumes look cute. And that?s probably enough ? plus the fact that she?s now part of the Motherhood Industrial Complex – to get Blake several major magazine covers for April and May. She didn?t score the cover of O Mag (only Oprah gets the cover!!), but O Mag did do a photoshoot with Blake. I don?t understand why her mouth is open? Do we have to make SexyFace even for OPRAH?!
Anyway, in the O Magazine interview, Blake talks about eating and knitting and how of course she loves to do some work on her motorcycle. She?s sort of like The Cool Girl?s cousin, The Cool Wife. All about food and child-rearing and letting her husband ?teach? her how to do fun stuff that he likes to do. Some highlights:
Her stress-relievers: “I’ll knit or cook ? or work on a motorcycle, a skill my husband is teaching me. One of my latest projects was painting nature-inspired throw pillows.”
How she spends a day off: “Walking through New York City. It’s constantly changing. I’ll go back to an area I visited four years ago, and it’s completely different. But that’s a good thing because it means there will always be new neighborhoods to eat my way through.”
On her best childhood memory: “My mom liked to infuse my life with a lot of magic. When she read my fortune cookies, the predictions were full of princesses and castles and jewels and pirates. When I got old enough to read them, I was shocked to find out how boring they really were!”
On her favorite quick recipe: “Hot fudge sundae. But forget the fake syrupy stuff; Melt down a bar of chocolate, mix it into some warmed up whipping cream, and put it on top of ice cream. Add some sprinkles, and you’ve got a delicious treat.”

Well? okay. I?m going to try to be less nitpicky about Blake, so I?ll give her this: I like how she consistently talks about enjoying all kinds of food. I?m sure she eats mostly healthy food, but I also get the feeling that all of her cupcakes/cookies/sundaes talk is for real, that she will sit down and eat buttery popcorn and top it off with a small ice cream sundae, because life?s too short. And I like that about her, really. I get tired of self-appointed health-monitoring celebrities trying to convince me that kale smoothies are the height of indulgence.
Last thing: painting nature-inspired throw pillows? She totally spoiled the next Preserve essay!!!!

She?s been thoroughly enjoying Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week 2015 and on Wednesday night (February 18) Blake Lively stepped out for the Marchesa runway presentation.
The ?Gossip Girl? actress was happy to show off her slim-and-trim post-baby body, clad in a scoop-neck halter top with a chartreuse bird print skirt, all from the new Marchesa line.
Blake gave birth to her daughter with Ryan Reynolds less than two months ago, so it?s nothing short of stunning that she?s already in such fine form. Her new movie ?Age of Adaline? hits theaters April 24th.

Here are some photos of Blake Lively outside of Marchesa?s NYFW show last night. This was Blake?s second postpartum outing, and it was also her second NYFW appearance. Blake has a history with Marchesa ? she?s worn Marchesa gowns to major red carpets and she allegedly wore Marchesa to her wedding with Ryan Reynolds. She and her parents apparently sat front-row with Anna Wintour. God, I bet Wintour gives her another cover this year. Wintour adores Blake?s bland, vanilla vibe.
Anyway, I think Blake looks pretty here. Her hair has improved since her first outing and I don?t hate the hummingbird print on her skirt. I?m ambivalent on the matchy-matchy shoes though. Blake apparently loved the Marchesa show, writing on her Instagram: ?Turns out it’s not appropriate to drool at a fashion show? in awe of Georgina & Keren.? Gurl, it’s Marchesa!! You don’t need to work that hard.
I think Blake?s parents must be staying with her these days. Earlier this week, Blake and Ryan had a date night in upstate New York, when they went out to dinner at The Inn at Pound Ridge (terrible name). According to People Mag, they sat beside each other in the main dining room and seemed ?super lovey dovey.? Since they don?t have a nanny (that?s what Ryan said), I guess her parents were watching sweet baby James.

She?s always been a big fan of the fashion industry and Blake Lively got an up-close-and-personal look at some of the latest styles during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2015 on Thursday (February 12).
The ?Town? actress brought her mother Elaine Lively along for the ride as she attended the Gabriela Cadena runway presentation and posed backstage for photos.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that Blake and her handsome hubby Ryan Reynolds named their baby girl James. An insider told E! News that the happy couple settled on James rather than the previously-stated moniker Violet.

LaineyGossip has a good theory for why Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are playing this stupid game with not announcing what they?ve named their baby girl. Just for the record, if you don?t want to announce your baby?s name, that?s fine. But don?t make it into a guessing game like you?re so clever. It?s pretty annoying. Anyway, Lainey?s theory is that Ryan is promoting The Voices and it?s not a big enough film to spill the tea on the baby name, and that they might wait until Blake is promoting The Age of Adaline in April to announce the name. Sounds possible. I bet Blake announces it on Preserve before then though.
Anyway, Ryan was on The Late Show last night (you can see the full interview here) and David Letterman grilled him on the baby name. Like, they spent the bulk of the interview talking about the name and playing this silly game. Once again, Ryan said they didn?t name the baby Violet: ?People said that the name was Violet, which was a very pretty name. But, that’s Ben Affleck’s daughter’s name … we would never steal another celebrity’s baby name, so we went with Shiloh.” Ryan also dropped some hints: it?s a family name, it?s not Blake?s mother?s name and it?s ?maybe kind of, yeah? a Biblical name. Bathsheba Reynolds. DONE. He also said this about Blake:
“It’s amazing. I’m not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airwaves, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I’d ever been in my entire life. I couldn’t even believe it. I used to say to [Blake], ‘I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.’ I would say that to my wife. And the second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby. [As] the guy, I’m just like a diaper-changing facility hooked up to a life-support system. But my wife, she’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She’s a human Denny’s, all day long and all night long. Romantic right? She’s the most beautiful Denny’s you’ve ever seen, though.”

I?ll admit it, I liked what Blandy Reynolds had to say about Blake. I mean, of course he loves his wife. But it?s nice to hear him gush about her like this because we?ve never really heard that from him before. Oh well? I hope they?re a real love match. Hey, remember back in the day, when Ben Affleck hired Blake Lively to play the ?floozy? character in The Town? The rumors were all over the place that Blake and Ben spent too much time together, alone, and Ben seemed especially smitten with his young costar. Just my opinion: I always believed there was something there and I think it really hurt Ben?s marriage for a time. But Ben and Jennifer Garner recovered and are still ?strong? (I guess). So is it especially awkward to hear another rumor, this time involving Blake?s baby name? Blake and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child sometime over the holidays. There?s new gossip that Blake gave birth to a girl? and that they named the baby ?Violet?. Like Ben and Jen named their first child ?Violet?????
It?s a girl! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds? bundle of joy is a baby girl the couple has named Violet, according to a tweet from someone who claims to work at Westchester Medical Center ? but sources confirmed to Page Six that while Lively?s baby is a girl, her name may not be Violet.
Multiple sources say the 27-year-old actress gave birth just before the new year. While the child arrived earlier than expected, we?re told both mom and baby are healthy.
According to one source, Lively?s parents, Ernie and Elaine Lively, are currently with the couple and their new baby at home in Bedford, NY. Lively and Reynolds, 37, married in 2012.

The case for a Violet Reynolds: It legitimately sounds like a name Blake would have chosen. It?s flowery, it?s old-fashioned, and I?m sure Ryan or Blake had a great-grandmother named Violet or something.
The case against a Violet Reynolds: I genuinely don?t think Blake would be so careless as to copycat Jennifer Garner?s baby name. I just don?t believe it. Blake might go for something in the same general area though. Iris. Marigold. Bluebell. LAVENDER. OMG it?s totally Lavender. Lavender Reynolds. Little Lavie.
For what it’s worth, Us Weekly also says that Blake and Ryan didn’t name their baby girl “Violet” and that the mysterious tweet was fake. So… there is no Violet Reynolds. But is there a Lavender Reynolds?!
Update: For some reason, Blake covers this week’s issue of People Magazine. She managed to get the cover without confirming anything about the baby! It’s so random.

I really didn?t think Blake Lively was due until late January/early February, but it happened a lot faster than I was expecting. According to Page Six, Blake and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child in Bedford, New York ?over the holidays.? A Christmas baby? A New Year?s Eve baby? Something like that. Blake waited to announce her pregnancy until she had completely launched her Preserve site, which meant we didn?t know about her pregnancy until she was well into her second trimester. As such, it felt like she was only pregnant for a few months, right?
Blake Lively gave birth to her and Ryan Reynolds? first child over the holidays, Page Six can exclusively reveal. The 27-year-old actress gave birth to their child near their home in Bedford, NY, just before the new year. Lively and Reynolds, 37, married in 2012.
The child arrived earlier than expected, but we?re told that mom and baby are both healthy and doing well.
Lively, who has looked stunning as an expectant mom, said in October that pregnancy was a dream come true for her.
She told Us Weekly, ?Its something that I?ve always wanted ever since I was a little girl?I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me. So it?s just the excitement of that finally being here.?

Yeah, we don?t know the sex or the name yet. I was getting a ?boy? vibe, but you could tell that Blake really wanted a girl. We?ll see. I always thought Blake was the kind of celebrity who would confirm the baby?s birth with a short statement confirming the name, but now that she?s shilling her artisanal Preserve crap, I?m kind of thinking that Blake will wait a bit, then debut everything (sex, name, first baby photos) on Preserve at some point. Blake Lively has been all over the place this week, but this is the first time we?ve had photos of her in a while. Blake was spotted leaving a NYC hotel yesterday. Which is weird, because she and Ryan own an apartment in NYC? Maybe she was at the hotel on business. As for her look in these photos ? I like that coat. And I like that she?s wearing pants, because a month ago, she was going through a weird maternity-minidress phase and I feared some pregnant ?Marilyn Moments? from her.
People have also been discussing Blake?s hair a lot lately. Apparently, she stopped dying it blonde when she got pregnant, so she has long, dark roots coming in, which you can see in these photos. THR even wrote an article about it, seriously. They spoke to ?L?Oreal celebrity hair colorist Kari Hill,? who said: ?Blake has decided to not color her hair at all, thus growing out her darker roots.? Hill suggests that Blake try some highlights so that her dark roots blend in with the double-process blonde she had pre-pregnancy. You can read more here. Granted, I?ve never been pregnant, but I thought the general consensus was that most hair dyes are safe to use while pregnant? Or is it different for blondes?
Blake has also been giving some interviews, although none of the quotes are very interesting (to me). Blake told People Mag that her mom is her icon of working motherhood, etc. Blake also spoke to the Daily Mail about Christmas stuff.
Meanwhile, word is that Blake?s husband Ryan Reynolds will be playing Deadpool. Filming starts in March? I wonder when Blake is due. My guess is still January/February.
