If you were wondering why Ryan Reynolds married Blake Lively, here’s your reason why. She’s hot. She’s about 70% legs. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t even have a flaw on her. A fact that’s confirmed by those leaked nudes of her. She’s the type of girl that when you go up to talk to her, nothing comes out of your mouth and the only thing you can will your body to do is to press your finger against her nose and go “boop.”

It has been a while since I’ve done a post on Blake Lively. I’m not sure if you guys remember but back in 2009, Blake was “Hollywood Tuna’s Babe of The Year”. A lot has changed since then: Blake got married to some douche, Gossip Girl is done and basically she has fallen off the […]

| Blake Lively's post-Met Gala party: 'Frozen hot chocolate with peanut butter sauce' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m having a love-hate relationship with Blake Lively?s coat in these photos from Wednesday in NYC. This was my reaction: ?Oh, that coat is great? wait? no it?s not? 1980s wallpaper fug? butterfly what?? maybe it depends on the lighting? wait, maybe it?s okay after all?? So, I guess in the end I?ve come down on the side of thinking the coat is okay. The fit is great, the butterflies are too much, but from a distance it looks amazing.
Anyway, Blake has been all over the place this week, with the Met Gala, the Gucci Chime for Change event and then she?s just been out and about, getting photographed in NYC like in these photos. She?s also been talking to the press. And even though she?s really taken a step back from her acting career and her red carpet fashionista career over the past few years, it?s interesting to note that Blake hasn?t changed that much. She?s still trying to convince people that she doesn?t go to the gym, she loves chocolate and red carpets scare her. Some highlights from a few interviews:
Her post-Met Gala activity: ”I went to Serendipity… had frozen hot chocolate with extra peanut butter sauce on the side. Closed that place down! That’s how I do an after party!”
She loves to cook: ”I like to cook… I use a lot of fresh ingredients, which really does make a huge difference. It’s easier to be healthy when eating things that are fresh, because they are often fruits and vegetables, but I also live a very active lifestyle.?
She hates the gym: ”I’ve said before I hate the gym, I eat chocolate, yes that part is true. But what they don’t print is I hate the gym, so what I do instead is find other ways to be active… I ride bicycles, I hike, I go out and exercise in nature and I’m active that way.”
She claims her hair is a “shield?: “I hide behind it a bit because red carpets can be intimidating. And when my hair is in my face, I feel less exposed.”
Preparing for the red carpet: “I am so not confident on the red carpet. I just sit there thinking, ‘What would Gisele do?’ It is such a sensory overload. I’ve seen Solange [Knowles] perform in front of 90,000 people and I saw her [at the Met Gala] and was thinking, ‘Oh, why do we do this? This red carpet is always so scary.’ I saw her take a deep breath and put her performance face on, and you really have to do that. I’m not comfortable as me standing in front of 500 photographers, so I have to go somewhere else and pretend that I’m the confident person you hopefully expect me to be.”
[From Contact Music and HuffPo]
Frozen hot chocolate with peanut butter sauce on the side? I don?t get it. Obviously, I don?t do gourmet desserts all that often, but is ?frozen hot chocolate? really a thing? Is it just chocolate milk, or is it like a frozen block of previously hot chocolate?
As for her talk about how she isn?t confident on red carpets? gurl, please. Her problem was never a lack of confidence. She?s always loved being photographed, and I can tell because for several years, she would go to the opening of an envelope and all she could talk about was how ?fun? it was to style herself.

Lending her celebrity to a good cause, Blake Lively showed up at Macy?s Herald Square in New York City last night (May 6) to celebrate the new Gucci ?Chime for Change? campaign.
The ?Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? actress was stunning in a powder blue suede trench coat with studded heels as she showed off her lovely legs while prancing around on the red carpet.
Blake has been a busy girl this week, as she garnered plenty of attention with her husband Ryan Reynolds at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday night (May 5).
Both Lively and her beau wore Gucci attire to the exclusive event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, making a rare public appearance together.

What a difference a few years makes, eh? Ryan Reynolds is now the kind of guy who walks on red carpets with his wife. And they wear matchy-matchy clothes by the same fashion house because they have matching modeling contracts. Ryan and Blake Lively both wore Gucci. They both look nice, and they look really, really happy to be on the Met Gala red carpet. Blake looks poured into her Gucci gown ? it really does hug every curve. I wouldn?t have put her in this pinkish/blush/nude shade, but it looks surprisingly good on her. Thoughts on her hair? I?m not into it ? it looks like they stopped styling it just a few minutes too soon.
Oh, I just saw that the dress basically has a built-in cape. I thought it was just a too-long train, but it?s a train AND a cape-like thing. That?s kind of cool. This dress is very old-school glam.
And here?s another cute couple: Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson. For my money, they?re cuter than Ryan and Blake, but whatever. Diane wore Jason Wu for Hugo Boss. I like it. I don?t love it. Diane in ice blue… well, she looks very icy. It feels like she?s channeling Grace Kelly a bit. Joshua looks adorable in his tuxedo.

| Blake Lively Goes Retro on 'The Age of Adaline' Set | Added 10 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

Getting into character for her latest role, Blake Lively looked like she?d stepped out of a time machine from the 1970s as she prepared to shoot scenes for ?The Age of Adaline? on Thursday (April 3).
Joined by costar Ellen Burstyn, the ?Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? hottie smiled as she ran lines in the Gastown District of Downtown Vancouver, Canada.
And given that her career takes her all over the world, Blake likes to surround herself with familiar scents to make her feel close to her loved ones.
Ms. Lively shared, "Fragrance is a superpower. Because if you smell the fragrance of someone you love, whether it?s your mom or your husband, the smell of your niece and nephew?s hair - that is one of the most powerful emotional experiences you can have.?
?When I first moved to New York I bought this baby shampoo that my nieces and nephews wore and their baby lotion. And I used to wear it because I missed them so much that having my hair smell like them made me somehow feel more connected with them."

Showing dedication to her craft, Blake Lively filmed late night scenes for her new movie ?Age of Adaline? in Vancouver, Canada on Wednesday (March 19).
Joined by ?Nashville? hunk Michiel Huisman, the ?Gossip Girl? starlet looked snazzy in an olive green overcoat as she gazed off into the night.
Blake told the April issue of Elle magazine that she was thrilled to take a break from the industry after her CW show came to a close.
"Having a personal life has been really nice. I'd been on Gossip Girl 10 months a year for six years, shooting 15-hour days, so I hadn't had time to just be since I graduated from high school. It's been nice to kind of settle into my own skin and work on things I really love."

| Blake Lively films period film 'Adaline?: can she pull off the 1950s costumes' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I would never have chosen Blake Lively for a period film, but I have to say? she doesn?t look too bad in mid-20th-century costume. These are photos of Blake on the Vancouver set of Age of Adaline, her new starring role in a feature film. Blake hasn?t been on a film set since 2011, when she did Oliver Stone?s Savages. And she wrapped on Gossip Girl in 2012. So, it?s been about a year and a half since she?s worked as an actress, and about two-and-half years since she?s been on a film set. Did she do that on purpose? That?s the debate. While I don?t doubt that Blake could have hustled up some film work before now, I do wonder if she?s being offered the kind of roles she thinks she deserves. It?s the Biel Syndrome.
But, Blake got a lead and she?s filming it in her husband?s home country. Ryan Reynolds has been in Vancouver too, and he stopped by to see Blake yesterday. I guess they had lunch together. This too is one of the reasons that Blake didn?t work for a while: she was loved up and she hung up her Hustlin? Boots. She was focused on her marriage and that?s her choice. Bless her.
As for this film, which is either going to be called Adaline or Age of Adaline, it is period? sort of. Blake plays a woman who stops aging at the age of 29 after a near-fatal accident. She gets to be Forever 29 throughout the 20th century, until she meets a man and something happens. I can?t wait to see 1970s Blake.

Blake Lively is exhausting. Which is weird, because it?s not even like we talk about her that much these days. She barely works, she?s more model than actress nowadays and she doesn?t show up to the opening of an envelope. She?s been hunkered down (I guess) with Ryan Reynolds, taking modeling gigs and switching up her management team (because that was the problem, I suppose). But when I glanced through Blake?s new interview with The Cut, I just felt? exhaustion. It?s four pages of Blake taking endlessly about food and her special ?lifestyle? project which she still hasn?t launched. No one but Benedict Cumberbatch should be THIS chatty. You can read the full piece here (grab a cup of coffee to stay awake) and here are some highlights:
Does she use scent to get into character? ?Hm, I never thought about that. I think I do the other version. My scent is who I am, it?s very distinct. When I?m playing a character, I don?t wear perfume. I don?t want to feel like me, I want to disappear into it. I think that?s a big tell, so I don?t pick scents for characters. But I also play a lot of dark characters, so it would make me dislike a lot of scents. Maybe one day, when I play a lovely, enjoyable character who isn?t being tortured.?
What she smells like every day: ?I think I smell like ? cookies. [Laughs.] Chocolate chip, with a lot of pecans. No, but I really do wear Gucci Premiere every day. I love that it has feminine and masculine [notes]. I?m very particular with fragrance, and used to wear a different fragrance in the summer and winter, or for different events. But because Gucci Premiere is so nicely balanced, I don’t have to do that anymore.? [Editor?s note: ah, great infomercial.]
The scent of her first date: ?Hmm. I don?t know if I have ever been on a date. Maybe the Cheesecake Factory? Yeah ? that would work. [Laughs.] I guess? I don?t know. My first date must have been my first boyfriend, when I was a senior in high school. And you don?t really go on dates then. You know what I mean? I?ve always dated people I?ve been friends with for a long time. So maybe Cheesecake Factory. That?s where I would go now.?
Haircare: ?Something my mom does that is kind of cool: She puts coconut oil on the ends of her hair. When you shampoo your hair, you?re trying to get the oil out of your roots, but you really want the rest of your hair to maintain its moisture. When you put coconut oil on the ends, the shampoo gets oil out of the roots, but also protects the ends.?
Whether she would ever do a pixie cut: ?Hmm, I don?t know. For me, my hair is like a shield. I?m actually a pretty shy person by nature. With long hair, you can put your hair down and cover your face. I think a pixie cut is so cute. I just think that everyone that has one is the most courageous person. It?s so daring to do that! I get geeked out by people when they do that. They?re awesome. Would I do it? Maybe. But it?s totally ballsy. You see someone do that and you think, I want to be friends with them. They?re really brave.?
Her lifestyle site isn?t really about lifestyle: ?I don?t know if it?s a lifestyle site. I was very vague about it. And because of that, everyone was filling in the blanks about what other sites it could be like. It?s not accurate. I?m creating a brand that I felt the need for. I was on my show [Gossip Girl] for so long that I really wanted to break from acting, because it lost its excitement for me in a way, because it was such a job. I never lost my appreciation for [acting], though. I just felt like I didn?t have as much to offer because I got used to it. I wanted to explore other passions. At first, I didn?t know what I wanted to do. The company came from something separate when I had that free time. It’s a space I wanted that I couldn?t find anywhere else. I?m still being very vague, intentionally. But I?m really, really excited. By the time it launches, we will have developed it for two years. So it?s a lot of time, energy, efforts, resources, working with amazing people. No [it will not be about lifestyle.] Yes, it will be a site. But not necessarily lifestyle.?
On Gwyneth?s GOOP: ?Oh my gosh, I?m such a huge fan. I think Goop is amazing. Pinterest I?m obsessed with. Etsy is not a lifestyle site, but it?s pretty amazing what they?ve done. But I think it?s also neat, all the blogs. They don?t need a huge company behind them. You can just be a fan of fashion, art, or a fan of all things. There are so many Tumblrs I like to follow.?
She has a Pinterest: ?I have a Pinterest account. I don?t have any friends on it. It?s not under my name. It?s not like, top secret. It?s just a way that I can store the boards. If I?m looking [at] hair things, I see, oh, that?s me! That?s so weird! But I do re-pin pictures of Ryan. [Laughs.]
Does use Gwyneth Paltrow?s cookbooks? ?No, I haven’t. I don?t really cook from a cookbook. But I have her cookbooks. I have so many: Thomas Keller?s whole collection, Joel Rubochon, and Nigella Lawson. To me, they?re more like coffee-table books. I think her cookbook is beautiful. I geek out with Thomas Keller. He?s my number one. He?s like my superhero. Chefs are like my rock stars. I could meet the biggest movie star and feel so honored, but if I see a chef, I just want to hide under a table.
[From The Cut]
Blake does confirm that her site will be about food and ?a little bit of everything? (which means that it IS lifestyle) and that she will launch it in 2014. I do enjoy how Blake is walking the fine line with Gwyneth Paltrow ? Blake wants to acknowledge that Gwyneth?s GOOP is the standard-bearer of pretentious celebrity side-project lifestyle sites, but Blake also wants people to think that she?s going to do it differently.
Also ? ?I really wanted to break from acting, because it lost its excitement for me in a way, because it was such a job.? Yes, Blake. It was your choice, of course. I mean, I think she did want to take some time off and stuff, but if she had been offered some good scripts, she would have jumped at it. There?s a good dose of Jessica Biel-ism in here, I think.

Getting a fresh start with a new agency as she builds her film career, Blake Lively left CAA for WME recently.
The "Gossip Girl" star is in good company as her handsome hubby Ryan Reynolds is also repped by the same company.
On deck for the 26-year-old actress is the romantic drama, "Adaline," costarring Ellen Burstyn and directed by Lee Toland Krieger..
In the movie, a young woman, born at the turn of 20th century, is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality.
