Making sure to get in some time in acknowledgement of her many fans, Blake Lively was spotted outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (June 26).
The ?Gossip Girl? beauty looked perfect in a peach knee-length dress and silver heels as she was seen signing autographs and posing for pictures before heading inside to pre-tape an appearance on the ?Late Show with David Letterman? - which will be airing this Thursday, June 28th.
The talk show stop comes as Miss Lively is promoting her upcoming flick, ?Savages?, of which she recently opened up to Yahoo News about her latest, not so Upper East Side role.
In the Oliver Stone directed movie, Blake is kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel and suffers a good deal of abuse from them - which she says were some of the most ?difficult? times in shooting.
The 24-year-old explained, ?You find yourself pushing to the maximum and trying to see how far you can go with the emotions and the tension. When Benicio is trying to intimidate me, I'm spitting back in his face. And he's looking really vicious the whole time so you're locking yourself into that world for those scenes and that's where the adrenaline kicks in.?

Last night was the big LA premiere of Oliver Stone?s Savages, which comes out in America on July 6 ? not this Friday, but next. Almost all of the stars from the film were at the LA premiere. The one person who didn?t show up: newlywed Aaron Johnson, who might be on his honeymoon and thus, had a good excuse for not coming to the premiere of one of his first big American films. CB has covered John Travolta?s wiggy appearance on the red carpet, and I shall cover the rest of the photos.
I think it?s fair to say that Blake Lively was the big ?star? of the red carpet. Salma Hayek didn?t look all that great, and Blake really pulled out all of the stops. Blake wore this Zuhair Murad couture gown, which is like an optical illusion dress that looks poured onto her. You can say whatever you want about this girl?s face (eh) and her ?game? (eh): but you cannot deny that Blake has a KILLER figure. Look at her body in this gown. It?s amazing. I would love to have her figure. And yes, I know her boobs are man-made. I would still love to have all of it. As for the dress ? it?s not my favorite thing that I?ve ever seen her wear, but hey, at least it?s not Marchesa. And at least Blake isn?t falling out of it.
As for the overall styling? am I alone in thinking her makeup looks rough? The lipstick shade is too bright, the earrings don?t really go with the dress, and her hair looks awful. The blonde looks over-processed, and I just feel like she?s going for the ?Glamour Barbie? look. Maybe I?m being too critical because I?m overwhelmed by jealousy for her figure, though. Or maybe Blake shouldn?t brag constantly about styling herself because she really does NOT have an eye for it.
Oh, and Ryan Reynolds was nowhere to be seen? I guess Blake had to do the premiere stuff as a single girl.

I?ve always thought that whoever is in charge of choosing Gucci?s spokes models/faces had very weird taste. In retrospect, it was kind of interesting for Gucci to choose two up-and-coming talents like Evan Rachel Wood and Chris Evans to represent Gucci Guilty. But I thought the choice of James Franco (for ?Gucci Sport?) was odd and ill-advised. And now Gucci has a new perfume, and a brand new ?face? – Blake Lively. Blake actually alluded to this mess in a recent Bullett interview, with the writer noting that Blake had ?just wrapped her third and final day on the set of a still-undisclosed fragrance commercial, which was directed by Drive auteur Nicolas Winding Refn.? Blake said: ?He was my first choice.? So? this isn?t just a print ad campaign. Blake will star in commercials for the Gucci perfume, and the commercials have already been shot – by Nicolas Winding Refn. Here?s more:
In a move not so dissimilar to that of a football transfer, actress Blake Lively has leapt from Parisian luxury giant Chanel and into the arms of fellow premier-league stars Gucci.
The American actress, 24, has been cast as the face of new Gucci scent Gucci Premire, which takes its name from the couture line launched by the brand in 2010.
Inspired by Old Hollywood charm and all the glitz and glamour surrounding it, the fragrance is for a woman who is “living her moment, whether it’s on the red carpet or at a private dinner”, according to Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.
Lively was picked “because she is a girl of extraordinary beauty and she’s a girl who loves fashion. She has great taste in clothes”, Giannini told WWD .
“Although she’s young, she’s also very determined, and I liked this spirit.?She knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour.”
Lively, who scored her first fashion campaign as the face of Chanel’s new Mademoiselle handbag line in March last year, said she “couldn’t be more proud” to be working with Gucci. She added: “Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength”.
Each of Gucci’s Premire creations can take up to six months to make and have been worn by red carpet sirens Salma Hayek, Jessica Chastain and Cameron Diaz. The fragrance is set to go on sale in the U.K. in late July.

Oh, that was just chock full of goodies, wasn?t it? Blake is a girl of ?extraordinary beauty? who ?has great taste in clothes?? We could debate that one all day. I?ll cosign the whole ?she?s very determined? thing, though – give it to her, guys. She IS determined. She IS ambitious. And that?s not a bad thing. As for Blake?s ?aspirational glamour? – why does everyone always kiss her ass about her fashion sense? She styles herself, and most of the time it?s not all that great. Most of the time she looks like a downmarket Mall Girl. But whatever. Blake got a new gig. Good for her.

Blake Lively covers the July issue of Marie Claire as part of her promotional press tour for Savages. That?s the film she did with Oliver Stone – and Blake is really hoping her performance takes her to the next level. I don?t really have an opinion on it, considering I haven?t seen the film and I don?t have a rampant hate-on for Blake. I will say this – I was not impressed with her voiceover in the trailer. She sounded bored and vapid. Maybe that?s her character, though. In which case I think Blake might have been typecast. Anyway, here are some highlights from Blake?s Marie Claire interview:
Blake likes a well-dressed man: “It’s definitely attractive when a man can dress well? What I love most is when someone, guy or girl, is effortless and has this old-timey sort of feel [that] you could take a snapshot of them and they could exist in any time period.”
She loves talking about food: “To be around me, you must love food or I’m the most obnoxious person you’ve ever met. I’m in a big cooking phase. That’s all I’ll talk about.”
She also loves talking about her Louboutins: “What I planned before I got into the business has changed? Now I’m like, ‘Hmm, I wonder what shoes Christian [Louboutin] is going to make me. And which couture house should I go to?’ ”
She?s her own stylist: ?My assistant will call fashion houses for me, but I always pick the outfit, shoes, jewelry, and a lot of times I do my own hair and makeup for events. Sometimes I think, God, why do I do this to myself? It’s so much extra work!?
Why does she style herself? ?Because I love fashion. It’s such an expression of self. I often see people and they look great, but I can identify who styled them. Every stylist has a signature. Maybe it sounds jerky, but I’m lucky to be on such a fashion-centric show [Gossip Girl]. There’s no designer I don’t have access to.?
She?s holding at ?four? boyfriends: ?People like to draw parallels between my life and the scandalous stories on Gossip Girl. I dress the same as my character, so they think, She lives this life on and off set. I recently shared how many boyfriends I’ve had [four], and people were like, “That’s impossible!” But it’s true. I’ve been with very few people. If I’m not with somebody who really excites or inspires me, then I’d rather be by myself.?

Marie Claire?s Nina Garcia also notes that Ryan Reynolds? dog Baxter makes an appearance during the interview, which is basically yet another confirmation that Ryan and Blake are totally serious about each other. They will get married. Eventually. Blake is waiting to see how Savages does. You think I?m joking – the reaction to the film will determine the next steps she takes with Ryan.
As for Blake?s continued insistence that she styles herself? I tend to believe her. I think that?s why she looks ?off? on some many red carpets. But I respect that it?s HER vision for how she presents herself and not someone else telling her ?You look amazing!? when she clearly doesn?t.

Blake Lively did an interview for Bullet magazine which no one has ever heard of. “Is this real life?,” the editor probably asked when Blake Lively agreed to the interview. Whatever the case, she’s there to promote Oliver Stone’s violence porn filmSavages. At one point, she opens up about building relationships.
?I?m slow to build friendships, but they always end up being long and lasting? The way that I meet people is the same way that I?ve always met people. It might be weird if I was on JDate, but I?m not, so that?s good. I meet so many people in passing at parties, but I?ve never been a person who?s like, I know I just met you, but let?s exchange numbers and be best friends.?
She also talks about finally getting to leave Gossip Girl.
?It?ll be bittersweet when it?s over because it gave me all of this,? she says, scanning the second floor of the mansion where we?re huddled next to each other on a windowsill. ?I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, I?m a senior and I can?t wait for the next thing! Gossip Girl was so great, but what?s the next challenge in life? Because, you know, six years is a long time. And as an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don?t think I?d say, Watch Gossip Girl for my best quality of work. But I am very lucky to have had that experience.?
Gossip Girlis just like high school? So after filming the last episode she’s going to start pointing to people and going, f*ck you, f*ck you, you’re cool, f*ck you…?” Because that would be pretty sweet.

There was an odd little story about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively last week and I never got around to talking about it. You know how they?re all WASPy and perfect now, and how there were many reports that Blake and Ryan had purchased a Bedford, NY country home together? Well, first of all, there?s some reporting that indicates Blake bought the Bedford home herself, without Ryan?s involvement whatsoever. Ryan also seems to have bought another property in the area recently – basically, they?re both buying real estate like it?s going out of style. But! The New York Post reports that whether or not both their names are on the deed, they are spending time together in Bedford, NY. And Ryan doesn?t seem happy about it at all.
After months of looking for digs in the city, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have opted to buy a $2.3 million mansion in Westchester?s tony Bedford area. The house sits on 2 acres and overlooks the Cross River Reservoir.
We hear the couple, who met on the set of ?Green Lantern? last year, were ?over the top? in their demands for confidentiality with their purchase. And Reynolds, who divorced Scarlett Johansson in 2010, hasn?t been making friends with the locals.
When another couple happened to walk out of Richard Gere?s Bedford Post Inn restaurant at the same time, Reynolds became hostile. ?Are you following me?? he snarled at the diners, who thought the actor needed a reality check.

Maybe he?s a really nice guy when you get to know him, but the idea I have of him is of a dude who is rather temperamental, rude and tightly wound. Meanwhile, many of us wondered why Blake Lively was not at last Monday?s Met Gala. Surely she was invited – she has a Chanel contract, she?s a self-styled fashion girl, she?s on Gossip Girl? why not go to the Met Gala? LOVE. She didn?t go because of LOVE.
Blake Lively blew off the ball for her beau. Sources tell us the ?Gossip Girl? beauty ? who was the belle of the Metropolitan Museum of Art?s Costume Institute Gala last year ? passed on attending Monday so she could go on a lengthy romantic trip with boyfriend Ryan Reynolds.
Beginning the last weekend of April, an insider says Lively and Reynolds, who?ve been together seven months, jetted to Napa Valley, where they stayed at the world-class Auberge du Soleil luxury resort and restaurant in Rutherford, Calif. The couple then headed to San Francisco, where their activities included an intimate dinner at Charles Phan?s revered Vietnamese restaurant, Slanted Door.
The leggy Lively and the abs-fabulous Reynolds also took time to stroll the city?s artsy Red Light District. They then made a brief stop in Los Angeles before traveling to Reynolds? hometown of Vancouver. Our source points out that the lovebirds were visiting Reynolds? family the night of the Met Ball on May 7.
Instead of walking the red carpet at Vogue editor Anna Wintour ?s haute happening, Lively, 24, and Reynolds, 35, ate dinner with one of Reynolds? four brothers and his wife at Asian restaurant Blue Ginger, in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. They stayed overnight and returned to the mainland the next day. According to the insider, Lively and Reynolds stayed at the Coast Hotel in Vancouver, but have since relocated to Parksville in British Columbia to continue the more-than-two-week idyll.
Fashion insiders were surprised Lively skipped the Met Ball, since the style- and shopping-obsessed actress was the hit of last year?s party. The blond bombshell is the face of Chanel Mademoiselle handbags and attended last year?s soiree on the arm of the French fashion house?s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld.
Our first source says Lively?s absence from the fashion extravaganza is a sign that she has really fallen for Reynolds. A second source notes that Lively would have been more than welcome at the ?Oscars of the East Coast,? but decided on the low-key vacation with Reynolds instead.
?Anna loves her,? notes the insider.
Lively also missed the Cinema Society screening of her film ?Hick? here on May 3, because she was traveling. She and Reynolds have become increasingly serious during their seven-month courtship. After shopping for homes in Westchester and Connecticut together, Lively recently purchased a $2 million estate in Bedford Hills, N.Y.
Our initial source says Reynolds has been spending a lot of time at Lively?s new pad, and also ?gets along great with Blake?s [half] sister Robyn .?
A spokeswoman for Lively did not respond to our request for comment by deadline.

At some point does it become unprofessional? That?s my question. I don?t have any problems with Blake and Ryan being loved up, and I don?t have any issues with Ryan settling down with the first big-boob’d blonde he finds. I also think the mini-breaks are cute. They?re both working actors with lots of appearances and obligations, so when they can find the time to go on holiday, why not go? But that?s the problem, isn?t it? Blake is ignoring some of her appearances. Like, how could she not even go the premiere of her film? Is she that important? And surely her Chanel contract requires her to put in appearances at some of the big fashion events of the year, like the Met Gala. Ugh. Blake, what?s going on with you, girl?

Showing off his main squeeze back home, Ryan Reynolds was spotted out with Blake Lively in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada yesterday (May 8).
The ?Van Wilder? stud took his ?Gossip Girl? girlfriend on a two-hour ferry ride to visit his brother, an officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Ryan and Blake were also spotted in Vancouver over the weekend for a Reynolds family reunion at the Altitudes Bistro.
An insider told press, ?It was a really nice family reunion, and they spent several hours catching up on the latest news and sharing lots of laughs with each other.?

Ever since Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got together, friendly little Blake-centric pieces have been dropped into tabloids and such, and they began to give me an idea of what Blake and Ryan are like as a couple. And I do believe they are a couple, by the way. I think they?re probably in love. I don?t think this just a PR thing – I?m not even sure that Ryan ever does publicity fauxmances. I think he definitely likes girls – specifically, he likes big-boobed blonde girls. He likes girls who stay at home and cook for him. He thought he had that with Scarlett Johansson, but as it turns out, the whole ?being quiet and staying home? thing was just a phase for ScarJo, and once she was done with that phase, Scarlett was ready for the ?boning Sean Penn? phase of her life. But I think Ryan has found what he?s looking for with Blake. In any case, Blake seems more suited for him, because the impression I keep getting is that they?re both super-WASPy. Things between Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are getting so serious, they spent the holiday weekend together along with Lively?s family. On Saturday night, the couple went to see ?Mary Poppins? on Broadway with several family members and afterward went for late-night treats at Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side.
We?re told Lively and Reynolds, both wearing hats, held hands while they ordered a round of desserts, and remained largely unnoticed by other diners. This story is being billed by some outlets as ?Blake and Ryan are headed to the next level because he?s hanging out with her family.? But they?ve ALWAYS hung out with each other?s families. Blake went to Canada to visit with Ryan?s family, and Blake?s folks are always in NYC visiting her too. They all get together and do WASP things. Which are a mystery to me, so I can?t describe them. What do WASPs do at this point? Are they still hanging out in country clubs all the time? And then they go yacht-shopping?
